La Fiore in Delftwijk

Opening times were wrong on the website. Place was shut when we got there. Very disappointing indeed.

Not for me anymore. Not tasty and way too expensive.

We arrived 10 minutes before closing, took three pieces of cake. All were fresh and delicious in their own way. The staff is pleasant

There was a special offer on the door: a slice of cake, reduced from €3.50 to €2.50. At checkout, we were charged €10 for two slices because we hadn't collected them but had eaten them on the spot. The employee hadn't informed us of this.

Very friendly service, warm atmosphere, tasty snacks and delicious coffee.

I was surprised that they have exactly the two flavors I love the most. You don't find blood orange and bubblegum everywhere. That made me very happy!

And then suddenly the prices at La Fiore have gone up by 15%. A few weeks ago, two ice creams were €5.20, now they cost €6.00. Everything is steadily going up. A few years ago, it was only a few percent. Now it's over 10%. But the owner is still the same friendly and polite man. It's already March 2023, and it's been months since we last sat down on the terrace at La Fiore. The place still looks neat and tidy, and the owner is just as friendly. What was immediately noticeable was that the prices are still the same as in 2022. While most places have raised their prices by at least 10%, here you still pay €1.30 for a scoop of ice cream and €2.75 for a cappuccino. If there were one point of criticism, I'd say give the terrace tables a fresh coat of paint or a new coat of varnish. Today, August 28th, I sat down on the terrace of La Fiore. There were still a few people there, which always makes it a bit more pleasant. The prices are still reasonable. Two scoops of ice cream for €2.60 and a good-tasting coffee for €2.25. Many people already charge €1.60 for a single scoop. The owner is a friendly man and does his best to please his customers, but creating an atmosphere is a different story. It's a shame that the square has such a desolate appearance, a truly empty square. La Fiore's terrace could also use a freshening up. It should be a meeting place where people enjoy sitting, and unfortunately, it isn't. And while the weather is still nice...what if it gets colder again soon? I've been to this place several times for coffee, a soft drink, or an ice cream. Very friendly people who go out of their way to please their customers. I recently got an ice cream cone for €1.30 per scoop. That's one of the cheapest ice cream parlors right now. They also sell a variety of luxury pastries and desserts.

We could tell you all about it in a review, but go and taste it for yourself. There's something to eat and drink for every taste. And hospitality is their hallmark. A wonderful place...
