La Folie in Centrum

I'll never set foot in this place again. Saturday night, I order two beers and a Coke with a smile. The youngest bartender, with a face like a thunderstorm, looks at me as if I've just run over her dog and barks, "What do you want?" I calmly repeat my order, and she rolls her eyes. She sighs so exaggeratedly that half the bar hears it, slams the glasses under the tap, and then slams them down in front of me, sending the Coke gushing down my shirt. No apology, no tissue, nothing. Just a spiteful look of "what a shame." Then she turns around and starts complaining loudly about the customers.

Really nice place. Great service and always fun. Also, really nice and empathetic people behind the bar.

Amazing atmosphere, incredible music, ranging from Steely Dan to Cocteau Twins. Also has the coolest bar bathroom I've ever seen. The staff is super chill, and the bar has a certain edge that feels rare to find these days, you can certainly feel that this establishment has been running for a long time.

Come here at your own risk. La Folie has a certain cozy, dive-bar charm and a convenient location that could make it a great hangout. Unfortunately, my experience with the staff was shockingly rude and unprofessional so much so that it eclipsed everything else. Honestly, this place should take a break from its existence until it figures out what hospitality really means. With genuine reflection and change, it might one day become a spot worth visiting again.

Grace and her daughters run the shop with love and passion. A "nice place to be." We always feel at home❤️

Good place. There's a bar next door (O Tomato) that was extremely overcrowded and noisy with loads of people outside and that kind of ruined it a little bit for us as we were sat outside. But La Folie is great. Grungy and down-to-earth with good beer and a pool table. They also stock Black Rainbow Collective's free Black Rain zine so definitely highly recommended!

She was a very grumpy barmaid, she told us to get lost after we finished our drinks.

I have never seen such a rude, arrogant person running a bar in my life. She seemed possessed or mentally ill. There were three of us. Friends ordered drinks, I wanted to think about it. After 30 seconds she came back with a foaming mouth. Don't know what she is on but this place is absolute madness. I

cute spot - i grabbed a coffee, it was decent. they also give you cookies and a piece of chocolate with it, which is a sweet touch. the staff is trying to be friendly and chatty, but not overly so - which is fine, they’re not your therapist.

Great relaxed pub that we regularly visit on Friday evenings. Good music and 'nice couches.'

The staff is extremely rude. It was a cold night so we ordered tea, then AFTER the service the staff came to our table and told us to be grateful for their tea because they “don’t serve tea”? At first, she told us to order or leave, so we ordered at the bar and explained really nicely we didn’t know we had to go inside to order because it was our first time at this bar, thinking such misunderstanding would resolve after this communication. She told us to not “look so angry and behave” and said every bar worked this way. It was just really bizarre why there was so much pent up rudeness. And the blonde waitress came over, took our tea away while swearing non-stop, and eventually threatened “if I were you I would leave as soon as I can for your own good” and that “I’m taking away your tea, you don’t deserve it”. The entire time, we stayed quiet and in awe of how someone could be this low, this does not sit right. We left because the way she was holding the tea while cleaning up really seemed like she was gonna throw it on us. She screamed “bye” as we left. It’s no way to treat anyone at all, and do not attempt working as a server if you are struggling with anger issues. Straight up savage behaviour from a full grown person. What would she do if we didn’t leave? Zoo experience over here

Nice place to meet friends pitty you are only allowed to smoke a joint not make it but that's just times changing in Eindhoven!

At first I thought it was possibly an authentic place, but the owner plays the role of an unfriendly witch like the Jordaan, but without conviction. What happens almost immediately is that she insults rude guests, but with a little pushback she immediately crawls in front of you. The daughters are even weaker. Mom is the boss and they follow. So in La Folie they are still somewhat helpful. Unfortunately out there they are pure misery who fall into a victim role. When a drunk person bumps their table, they take it as a personal insult given their diva status. They react very aggressively and threateningly to a neutral situation. When you push back and say you don't appreciate it, they become very threatening. If you dare to stand your ground, they will physically attack you by hitting, throwing drinks, swearing and threatening you in a group. Fortunately, the Eindhoven police took this report seriously and hopefully they will take further action. In any case, she acknowledged that it was antisocial and unheard of behavior, which gave a calming feeling. The daughter had cheap fake red hair and an ugly piercing.

Don't understand all those positive reviews. What unfriendly almost inhuman staff. Then you wonder what they have been through to be like this? Sad stuff...

Great bar to hang out with friends, pool table, crisps and also a great family behind the bar to have a chat with. The atmosphere is great it opens the bar up for people of every kind. A great experience is what u get while visiting this bar.

If you got nowhere to be, just go to La Folie, place is chill, you can enjoy your 420 smokes in front. Just have to come with them pre rolled

Super fijne sfeer en personeel! Je kan ook poolen binnen. Leuk feitje; ze hebben een kleinere kue om mee te poolen zodat de muur geen probleem meer is bij het poolen. Nice!
