A restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere, the staff are wonderful and have high morals, the food is of great quality and tastes wonderful, and it deserves to be visited many times. I thank the staff for the ice cream they gave to the children at the end of the meal, and they deserve all my respect and appreciation.

Very nice food and the best thing its halal

The original reviews convinced us to eat there. Unfortunately, we were negatively surprised. Communication in English was difficult. The pizza looked and tasted similar to a frozen pizza. The Coke, which we ordered with it, arrived with cutlery a few minutes later, after the pizza was already on the table. Maybe they were just having a bad day... Decide for yourself.

The pizza was delicious and plentiful. Beer prices weren't listed on the menu, and a small Heineken was charged at €5! But what was particularly strange was the waitress who sat next to us on the bench with her shoes on, chatting on her phone, and then dozing off. Ordering another drink was impossible, let alone asking for the bill. Other staff were present, but they preferred to focus on their smartphones! Interesting!

The food was good, but the carpacchio was stone cold. We were immediately presented with the bill after the main course and weren't asked if we wanted dessert or anything. In other words, we were out of here. It was a shame, because we went there because of the good reviews, but we were disappointed.

Very poor service. It took over 10 minutes to take our order. Then we had to wait a considerable time for our drinks. The food was decent. They said my husband's pizza was burnt (synonymous with forgotten in this case), so he received his food 10 minutes later. Tables that had been empty for a while were left dirty for a long time, including the plates of food. All in all, this restaurant could do much better.

I took my family there; the experience was great, and the staff was really kind, especially Nermin and Mohammed. The food was delicious, and the ingredients were fresh and of good quality. We tried the alfredo pasta, pesto pasta, margarita pizza, and shawarma pizza.

Terrible service, pasta arrived half an hour before pizza, meaning one person had already finished their meal while another still hadn't. Three different menus with different prices for the same dish. The atmosphere was tense because almost everyone was complaining, with people walking out, canceling their orders, or demanding refunds. I've never experienced such a mess. The price is €10 to €20 per person, which is accurate, but €8 for a beer is truly outrageous.

Good options with great quality pasta and pizza toppings and services

I came across the high rating and was surprised. I tried the lasagna and more than one type of pizza, and they all tasted frozen and were completely unacceptable.

Honestly, I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant and the people who work there, they are nice and generous. It is true that they took their order long, but their treatment excuses them, and they gave us tea as a gift, and the Sudanese young man, the Syrian Muhammad, Jareed, and Narmeen as well, and they are all honestly good, and next time I will try the pizza, they will praise it 👍🏼❤️

In a picturesque place like Giethoorn, there are restaurants in abundance. Yet, there's not much choice when it comes to Italian cuisine. That's how I ended up at La Piccola Venezia, located just outside the city center and thus a bit further away from the tourist scene. Initially, the restaurant gave me a somewhat sloppy impression. The menu contained a fair number of typos, and when I ordered my quattro stagioni pizza and asked about non-alcoholic beer options, the staff said, "I wasn't sure if they had any." After a few minutes of waiting, the confirmation arrived, so I decided to order a Coke. The pizza took a while to arrive and unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. The dough wasn't seasoned enough and had a bland flavor. The tomato sauce compensated for this. The generous amount of toppings provided a nice change of pace, but they were very sloppily placed on the pizza. For example, the onion rings were still stuck together, and the cheese was mostly in the center of the slice.

I think it's the best option in Khaitharun. The staff are all Syrian and, frankly, they are very polite and courteous. The food is delicious, to be honest. I didn't expect a restaurant of this standard to be in a small village. The nice thing is that it closes late, I think until 10 at night.

We went here for dinner based on the good reviews. The menu was so poorly written that we had a good laugh. The service was ridiculously slow, meaning we spent almost ten minutes watching the waiter prepare our drinks—which came from a can—one by one, then pour them into a glass that would have held twice the size of a bottle. The food ultimately took so long that we took it home. One of the pizzas was cold, and all were disappointing. The spare ribs, on the other hand, were perfectly edible, hence the two stars. I would recommend this restaurant if you want to laugh at the unique atmosphere and the interesting and mixed reviews, but for a meal, I'd suggest going to a different restaurant.

Four of us were there around 6 p.m. We were ignored for about 20 minutes before being asked if we wanted a drink. One person served, one cleared a neighboring table, and one did nothing. The food arrived before the drinks, which, as it turned out, had been forgotten. The two spicy dishes (pasta arabiata / pepperoni pizza) weren't spicy, but the completely ordinary hamburger ordered by the child (6 years old) was very spicy. I also had to help pay for what we had. If I had been dishonest, we could have at least gotten away with it much cheaper. Ordering in English or German wasn't possible. As a German guest (and) someone craving Italian food, I would advise against this restaurant.

The people are very kind and helpful and their service is fast. They just need ice in the cup. Overall, it is delicious and everyone deserves to try it. I will come back every time I come to Jethro.

This is the worst Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at. I just want to adjust the expectations of future guests. I don’t know where the good reviews come from. I also know that we are in a tourist area, so prices are a bit higher, but for that you should be able to expect quality. We had a Caesar salad and a Margherita pizza. The Caesar salad was a joke: absolutely carelessly prepared, and the portion was an absolute joke. For a €13 Margherita, a frozen pizza would have been better in comparison. Maybe it even was a frozen pizza? The service was friendly and attentive, but the food is terrible, so I am only giving it one star.

The pizza was tasty but the service was awful. Oily cold french fries and the waitress even did not listen to our order. We ordered two pizza we recieved one! We ordered cola we recieved it after asking again! The behaviour was not friendly and respectful.

Honestly, this is something strange from them. I was in a hurry and confirmed it twice, and the person who gave the order kept counting, "meaning he was sure." In the end, they forgot one of the orders!! 👎🏻👎🏻

The pizza was so subpar (I'd almost say it was one of the worst pizzas I've ever eaten). We ended up paying €21 for a pizza and a beer. I expected much better, given the reviews.

A little far from the central area which is the museum. But that has its own advantages. Less crowded, faster delivery. We ordered chick pizza. 2 pizzas were enough for 3 of us. Each was having 8 pies. The washroom was super clean. They had some toffee at the cash counter to take away. They have dedicated password protected WiFi for guests with sufficient speed. The only downside was that the card machine didn’t work but since I had 1.5 euros less in cash, they accepted that. Overall, pretty good experience as a restaurant considering the cost incurred for the food.

We read reviews here from people complaining that the pizzas are so bad or that no wine is served. BS! The four of us had a great pizza here. And a beer and a glass of wine with it. The ice cream dessert is also delicious. Another dessert was no longer available, so we got an alternative for free! Class. Points for improvement: The atmosphere is perhaps not as idyllic as you would expect from Giethoorn. It also took quite a while for the drinks and food to be served. On the other hand, the cleaning up started very early, one of us was not finished eating yet.

The new owners are likely capitalizing on the positive reputation of the original Italian restaurant. However, the staff is not Italian, and the food is disappointingly bland, bearing little resemblance to authentic Italian cuisine. Some of the glasses are not properly cleaned, and a plate had visible chips. Portion sizes are modest. We would definitely not recommend this restaurant.

The seafood calzone was very good and generously filled. The noodles were very tasty, the portions could have been a bit larger, but that was only because they tasted so good. We arrived in Giethoorn late at the end of the day and many restaurants were already closed. We were lucky to come across this magnificent restaurant! A warm welcome, a very varied menu and very generous dishes! The icing on the cake: the meat is halal! A big thank you to the entire team of this restaurant for this excellent experience!
