La Place in Hoofddorp

Absolutely amazing food and location

La Place has nice sandwiches and smoothies! I prefer to eat here during lunch since it can be very busy around dinner time (long queues). The restaurant has been nicely renovated and has a comfortable and homey feel to it, especially with all the exotic plants! Also, it has flex working spaces.

I often sit at this restaurant with my laptop, ordering coffee, apple pie, and lunch. A rude employee, probably the manager, got the nerve to speak to me because he thought I hadn't enjoyed a drink. He was a very annoying man who wanted to assert his authority. It's a real shame for the other friendly staff. This place is often chosen by mobile workers or people meeting for work. This employee's behavior is costing him money instead of making him money.

Dirty toilets. This place is a source of bacteria and microbes.

Yesterday’s pizza was incredible — the kind that makes you close your eyes after the first bite. The crust was light and crispy, the toppings were fresh, and the cheese stretched beautifully with every slice. Thanks to chef Mou! Pizza from him is exceptionally delicious!

20 people waiting. Two steaks on the grill. I put the salad back and left. The neighbors were always very nice, but they're currently doing some renovations.

After visiting the Ahoy in Rotterdam, I stopped here for dinner. Two pizzas: a hamburger and a chicken thigh. The pizza's shape wasn't great. Bad taste, or rather, no taste at all. Definitely not pizza-worthy. And the hamburger wasn't exactly delicious either. It was a tasteless setting with bland food.

Nice decent food for a quick bite on the go, too bad you have to pay 80 cents for a filthy toilet without running water and soap.

It's very cold! Not sure if they deliberately do this to prevent people from sitting tool long, but this is NOT cool either ways.

Suit Supply downstairs, Burger King opposite, and upstairs a restroom and even more food options. Cool concept.

Dear employee, I would like to express my dissatisfaction regarding the experience I had at Laplace on November 17th around 6:00 PM. The coffee was prepared by a young female employee—a blonde, slightly taller woman standing next to the cash register—who reacted to both me and my partner in an unfriendly, snappy, and sarcastic manner. My partner first asked if oat milk was available. His response was short, sharp, and unnecessarily unfriendly. After she confirmed that it was available, her attitude remained distant and negative. When I then asked about the cappuccino size, I received another short, snappy, and generally disrespectful response, accompanied by a sarcastic facial expression. During the preparation, she spilled milk while placing it in the milk frother. She also displayed hasty and aggressive movements, such as slamming the cupboard door. This created an unpleasant and even unsafe atmosphere for us as customers. I understand that an employee can be tired while working, but this should never be taken out on the customer. A more professional attitude could have changed a lot—for example, by maintaining a neutral tone and not expressing your own negativity towards the customer. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. This was without a doubt the worst Laplace experience I've ever had. This is especially disappointing because we've been visiting Laplace regularly for years, both in the Netherlands, Belgium, and France, and have always been satisfied. I hope this incident is taken seriously internally so that future customers can experience a more positive and professional service. Sincerely,

They're very unfriendly, selling steak with fries and salad, but you only get a piece of meat; you have to ask for fries, and salad is nowhere to be found. When you get to the cash register, a rude woman stands there, simply charging you for a menu you don't get. When you point this out, the answer is, "It's a menu, that's what you pay for." Suddenly, you can get salad, but it's a completely different place than where you ordered, according to her. So if I have to get salad elsewhere, it's an option, so if I don't get it, I don't have to pay for it. That's not true, according to her. Then she and her colleagues point at you and laugh because they've ripped off another customer.

Had a delicious sandwich with pea soup

Nice view on highway to Amsterdam. If anyone who loves the rollout of KLM Aircrafts could stay and make beautifull fotos on Parking! Otherwise you can buy and eat healthy foods and smothies for reasonaböe price.

What a disaster...almost everything was gone, and we arrived around 7:30 pm, satay that was really bad. The guy was friendly, though, and a chef-like person who refilled the tomato and pickles with his bare hands, and a little later, the meat, with the same bare, unwashed hands. The service staff wore gloves...and then there was an unfriendly cashier, not in uniform but in her personal clothes. Perhaps the management as well. In short, you won't see us there again. How awful!!

Beautiful location above the highway with views of the traffic below and Schiphol Airport. Delicious food, but not exactly cheap. Beautifully displayed stalls where you can choose your own meal.

Good sandwich and simple toasted sandwich. Friendly cashier. Perhaps the kitchen could use a bit more hygiene. There was a very dirty white trash can.

What a mess. The coffee was served without batting an eyelid, half in the cup and half on the saucer. The apple cinnamon cake was clearly days old. Toilets broken and filthy. Someone let their dogs poop, and it remained peacefully all over the hallway. And quite expensive, too. Yuck. Zero stars.

What a filthy mess it is there, I'd rather not sit on the chairs. The food quality is way below par. Never again.

Nice restaurant with a view over the A4

Just one meal, something a little different. The bridge restaurant used to be great, so my girlfriend and I went there. There were no signs explaining things upon arrival. We found the grill, and the staff behind it barely spoke our language. We ordered one steak menu and one satay menu. We had an argument because we ordered fries and they kept asking if they were fries, and yes, they were. Three chefs, talking over each other. We received a small salad bowl a bit back at the entrance. I helped myself, then got back in line. The steak was a thin slice of meat, about 7cm in diameter and 0.5cm thick. The grill wasn't hot, so the steak wasn't cooked through and barely warm. The satay was one skewer. The satay sauce was tasty, but everything was lukewarm, as if it had been reheated. The fries were lukewarm. The only drinks we could choose from were bottles of fruit water. The ice cream was only packaged. The salad tasted like it hadn't been changed in weeks. If it tastes like that at home (rancid and disgusting), it goes in the trash. And all that for almost €43. What a disgrace! It looks more like a third-rate diner with disinterested staff. We had dessert, a soft serve ice cream, at the Febo downstairs. I'm never going back there again.

I hadn't been there in years and was pleasantly surprised. The quality was much higher than before. Lots of beautiful, fresh vegetables. Friendly people who know their craft. What an upgrade. Keep up the good work, dear people.

On our regular vacations, we stop here for a delicious wok. As we approached the restaurant, there was so much trash outside because the bins were overflowing. Once upstairs, we went to the Wok Bali and asked the newly arrived Chinese lady if we could eat. We were immediately scolded for something wrong with the water. We couldn't quite understand her, but she was so mean to us that we didn't dare ask further. We turned to the Italian side, where lasagna was. If only we had waited a bit longer. The lasagna looked good, but once we arrived at the very dirty tables, it turned out to be dried out and not very tasty, and it was also floating in tomato sauce. You might as well have eaten off the floor because there was plenty of it there. It was a mess under the tables as well. We ate half and left. Even the rosé wine wasn't good anymore, but that's no mistake, because we were given a different bottle without any trash in it. La Place, that was it. We won't be back.

Unfortunately, the tuna sandwiches are not as fresh as they used to be on a pistoletje.

Fun place to eat above the highway. Great variety of choices. Clean restrooms.

Buns where burned, and there was not much on the bun, bought 2. Didn't finish them... Was still hungry after.

LaPlace is not a shadow of it's former self. Lot's of menu items are lost in the past year and what is served is pretty mediocre. Prices are rather high.

I think it is scandalous that you have to pay €0.80 for the toilet when you buy lunch on site.

They took my sandwich away from me, then gave me it back, burnt...

€18 for one satay stick with fries and a small salad is far too high considering the quality, and €3.60 for an iced tea plus the deposit. For two people, you spend €40, and you have to pay for the restroom! Why aren't there free restrooms in places like this? Next time, Deli France!

What a complete disappointment! Dried-out satay, lukewarm, tasteless peanut sauce, and a small container of raw vegetables. Poor value for money. I'll never come here again.

The food was truly delicious, the flavors were simply fantastic! 🥰 The price is a bit steep, about €20 per person. The only downside to this restaurant is the ladies at the cash register… they talk a bit like they're talking out of their noses.

The restrooms are a real nightmare, with a strong urine odor. I suggest the staff post signs to inform some customers that this type of toilet is not intended for standing on with shoes. This causes disgusting stains on the walls.

It's not bad, but the price-quality ratio is still a bit off. Unfortunately, it's still a convenient place to stop along the way.

The prices here are absolutely ridiculous and cannot be justified. Service is also abysmal with subpar cooks that do not know what they are doing. There is better value for money at the KFC in the same building.

La Place, who hasn't heard of it? Delicious fresh food for a great price. A very nice and modern restaurant! Customer service, meh, meh. After tapping my debit card against the machine, I realized I hadn't handed in the toilet pee voucher. So, while paying, I asked if this was still possible. "No, because if I have to do this for everyone, I'll have all the wrong receipts." Everyone said it was 12:30 on a Monday afternoon and there wasn't a soul in the restaurant. It's not about the 50 cent discount, but it's a real shame about the poor service/customer service/communication. Seems like a small effort to correct if there aren't any other customers waiting?

The food was delicious, tasty and fresh. The pizza maker's staff (didn't come out much) were friendly.

If you're craving mediocre food served by people who look like they're doing community service, you've come to the right place. If you want to see grumpy staff and fill your stomach, you're better off going to Burger King.

La Place was once a great restaurant. It used to have own made mayo, delicious fries and salads. The different sorts of bread were a pleasant memory. Nowadays LA Place is merely a faded memory. The quality and the assortment are,in my opinion, lower. It's a shame....

Was good quality and affordable

Too bad there are no gluten-free rolls, just like in other branches. And when we asked about it, the man at the rolls was very laconic, in the 18 years that I have worked here never had that... but not looking together for a solution or other possibilities. Sort of: figure it out yourself. Too bad and a disgrace for la place einnstand only cup of coffee

The offer is too one-sided. They don't really have a good offer for everyone.

Nice place to eat you can see the planes flying in, food is generally good sometimes a bit meager if you are a bit late.

When I go to Schiphol or come from Schiphol I take a rest at this beautiful restaurant. You can find food and drinks that you like to eat and are also freshly prepared. They have many healthy food types

Veeeeel expensive!! Ridiculously expensive. How can you make food so expensive, I understand that you have to earn something but taking money out of people's pockets like this I find strange.

It’s one of my favourite places. There are many fresh & tasty food options, from grilled chicken, soups, wok, pizza, burgers, and fruits, deserts etc. Also the view over the highway is part of the experience. It’s a good place to stop before or after going to Schiphol.

Possibly the best motorway service station I've ever been to. Food was freshly prepared while you wait and tasted great!

Terrible service. Upon entering, we asked if it was a buffet or a set menu, and the cashier told us it was a buffet. We had three plates, each with two chicken legs, a bit of potato wedges, and a kebab leg, plus three drinks and three bread rolls, for almost 100 euros… mind-blowing. The cashier's poor service was the worst. You could see she was eager to leave.

Disinterested and slow staff. Man behind the grill did not speak Dutch and very poor English. Ordered a hamburger for myself and salmon for my wife...had to explain 3 times that I also wanted salmon. Burger was almost ready. After 10 minutes the feedback came that the salmon was gone. We walked away and ate somewhere else. People before/after us also had trouble placing orders. (2 pieces of meat at a time on the grill while it is a large grill), the queue was therefore also long.

Food is expensive. But charging 80 cents for a toilet without a seat, pissed on, with a broken tap and broken gate is really outrageous. I had to crawl on the floor to get out of this hell. No idea what diseases I have caught. Next time I am around here I would rather pee my pants full.

TERRIBLE lady at the satay apparently didn't feel like her job. Unclear about which container for the salad. Satay crap fat rancid, fries not great either. Thrown away 32.50. And if you eat there a code would be nice for the toilet.

The atmosphere was that of a roadside restaurant. A bit lackluster, but the food was unexpectedly good. The mushroom steak was even excellent. So if you are hungry and in the area you can safely go to La Place.

Everything is ok, tasty and nice

Good place to have a quick bite to eat and then continue with the journey. It is not a cozy restaurant, but it has good food and is practically located.

It's always nice to eat, chat and look at the cars above the highway. Today it was very warm outside and luckily a lot cooler inside. We had a roast beef sandwich and a fillet sandwich (brown). And drink 2 bottles. Total €22,?? The roast beef sandwich was a bit sparsely filled and was disappointing overall. The fillet sandwich seemed like a sandwich that was not fresh, it was tough and no longer crunchy, which is a shame! Our visit was disappointing this time, in terms of food. We were kindly helped and unfortunately not pointed out the deal of the day. There was a friendly, calm atmosphere.

Close to Schiphol Airport, it's a convenient stop, for a refreshment and more, easily accessible from both directions.

The staff sees you and just greets you or can I help you? Finally, after some shouting, finally one person responded. The sandwich is made, the taste is fine, but for the amount you pay, the toppings could have been a bit better. Just not the quality and friendliness we used to get.

Antisocial staff. My mother, who is terminally ill, asks very politely for a reason, of course, whether her tuna sandwich can be topped fresh from the refrigerator instead of ready-made. Due to food poisoning and bacteria, she is not allowed to eat it ready-made. The Personnel who had to invest at that time are not older than 15 years. And gives a snort and with a lot of huffing and complaining and pulls the sandwich away and works hard and does it anyway. Then presses the sandwich into her hands. My mother then explains neatly why and the reason and that she does not like it being done this way. She doesn't care. manager is coming too. Immediately annoyed and says well, madam, that didn't happen that way on purpose. It is now finished and spoken. Manager does not ask what happened, does not apologize for the behavior, nothing. Severely antisocial staff sandwiches are the same money as a Goudsmit. And no one even invests for the value. At home I have more for less money. And especially because of how we were treated, it is a bad shit company, never received such bad service in a La Place branch. No words for this branch. I do not recommend it.

What a terrible disaster... We thought we would have a nice bite to eat with friends before going to a concert in the Ziggo. Arrived at 5:30 PM. You could shoot a cannon, so few people. Special, since it's dinner time... Just looking to see what food we could grab. We all found empty dishes!! No well-filled sandwich or any (affordable) hot food. Only soup or limp lettuce that you could serve yourself. You can't pay for soup, so out of sheer misery you get a salad for €7.70. A herb butter sandwich (for which you had to ask for the herb butter and the “cook” struggled to get it) for €3.30. Sandwich didn't need any butter afterwards. You could wring out the fat from this. Too rancid. Knives, as blunt as anything! Cannot be cut. But, we had a “belly filling” for the evening, let's just say… Just a quick visit to the toilet. €0.80 p.p. While before that the 4 of us had eaten for €100!!! Serious????? If only the toilet was still accessible for the disabled. Past the gate, after you have paid, you have to find out that the key can be obtained from the staff. The other toilets had not been cleaned for a week... Again, that for €0.80 p.p. Next time we will stay downstairs at the KFC. Never again at La Place Hoofddorp!!!

Location TOP! Food cold and old, service super slow, staff clearly go against their will. Super expensive, I worked there myself years ago, but man, man, has it deteriorated. It is clean, but if the staff needs some training, they will definitely work very well here!

Sandwiches are very expensive, fresh juice even more expensive. Lunch for 2 people, 1 sandwich per person, glass of orange juice and coffee €29.20 total. Quality i.v. the price moderate. Next time we'll drive on.
