La Salute in Hillegersberg-Schiebroek

I ended up here during my holiday in Mazzeo, Sicily, where a local told me about this restaurant. We went and had a delicious meal in a welcoming and very pleasant atmosphere with a very extensive selection of dishes. The owners were extremely hospitable and pleasantly surprised by the story of our holiday.

Highly recommended: we had a delicious meal there last week before going to a concert at the Hillegonda Church.

A place full of Italian pride and atmosphere! A small menu, but with classic dishes. Special and changing dishes too!

We hadn't been here in a long time, but we received a super warm welcome. Both the owners and staff were incredibly attentive, with excellent wine recommendations and delicious bruschetta with the aperitif! Both the shared appetizer and the pizzas were absolutely delicious! The Nero d'Avolo was a truly fantastic wine, and the Melonchello made the evening complete 🤭 It was pleasantly busy (all the tables were full), but there was more than enough attention for everyone! The food was delicious and excellent value for money, but the atmosphere was what truly made the evening complete. We will definitely be back soon!

Nice, cozy restaurant. The staff is friendly and happy to chat with you. The food is good and varied. The pizza is better; if you want something extra, that's no problem. It's "custom-made" food. I had pizza here without the sour taste that sometimes comes with some restaurants. It's best to book in advance, as it's popular.

The prices here are insane. Over 24 euros for a carbonara made with cream. Yuck! 😂 Nothing Italian about it.

A delicious, authentic Italian restaurant with excellent food. From appetizers to pizzas and pastas, anything is possible—add or subtract ingredients, it doesn't matter. The melon cocktail is a great one...very tasty, and definitely ask for prosecco in it. The olive oil on the table is also delicious and available for purchase. The limoncello and melon liqueur are also included.

We went there with 3 friends (on the advice of one of them). This is an experience to go to La Salute ! Immediately the owner came to us and when he learnt I am French, he started talking to me in French and we have some good times. The food was good and quite authentic. OK, the restaurant is a bit noisy and not super fast but not a big deal as we really had a nice evening !

Fuimos allí con 3 amigos (por consejo de uno de ellos). ¡Es una experiencia ir a La Salute! Inmediatamente el dueño vino a nosotros y cuando se enteró de que soy francés, comenzó a hablar conmigo en francés y tenemos algunos buenos momentos. La comida era buena y bastante auténtica. Vale, el restaurante es un poco ruidoso y no súper rápido pero no es gran cosa ya que realmente tuvimos una buena noche!

Best authentic Italian food in Rotterdam !!!! The food is good that we stopped cooking and take out dinner every night , it’s worth every penny!!!

The pizza was really delicious, I had good quality Gorgonzola on it and appropriate salami, the dough was good, but with an even better pizza oven the dough would be even tastier.

La Salute sirve una excelente cocina italiana auténtica. Cada vez que visitamos cada plato no ha sido más que delicioso! Las instalaciones son acogedoras con la sensación de estar en una casa italiana compartiendo una comida con la familia. Los propietarios son sicilianos y se especializan en cocina siciliana. Todo se hace en las instalaciones, especialmente la pasta casera y el Limoncello. Felicitaciones especiales a Rosario que siempre nos cuida bien durante cada visita y a Angelo que hace un excelente trabajo preparando la pasta con parmesano con la rueda de parmesano encendida (gran presentación). Hay muchos platos para recomendar, desde aperitivos como Bruschetta, carpaccio y tonnato de Vitello hasta una variedad de ensaladas y deliciosas pizzas. Los platos principales incluyen Tagliatelle al filetto e tartufo, espagueti carbonara, espagueti con langoustina, ajo y tomates y mucho más! Ya sea que desee una ensalada de postre principal o un postre tradicional como cannoli o tiramisú, La Salute lo tiene cubierto con una amplia variedad. We waren al heel lang fan van kok Luciano Cacopardo en zijn familie bij Ciao Ciao aan de Bergweg en volgden hem en zijn crew dan ook met veel plezier naar zijn nieuwe kookadres al weer enige tijd geleden. Er wordt gekookt met liefde en dat proef je ook van de pizza tot de wisselende specialiteiten op de krijtborden aan de muur. Allerlie Spritzen, lekkere wijnen, toetjes en zelfgemaakte -cello's en onverwachte gastoptredens van een van de obers maken het feest compleet. We hopen er nog vaak te komen !

The food and menu are still busy, but the atmosphere is a lot less after the renovation (expansion). The new part gives the feeling that you are in an echo chamber.

Out favourite restaurant in Rotterdam. The food is divine, made with authentic italian ingredients. Pollo paninni, Sgroppino, truffle pasta and the home made meloncello are all a must try.

The pizza was very successful, but the same cannot be said for the service and behavior. They are looking for an excuse to behave differently. If it is difficult, should you do something else?

Expensive and not particularly tasteful. Very atmospheric as always, but there are more places.

Spaghetti vongole was not as expected. Vongole was not good and I left it to avoid getting sick from seafood. The staff didn't even ask when clearing out whether I liked it or not as my plate was still full.

The gentlemen serving are very pleasant and exude a typical Rotterdam atmosphere. Food was a bit less and overpriced. Must have been due to the location (Hillergersberg). The carbonara I make at home is better than what this Italian restaurant said. So I wouldn't recommend paying 24 euros for a plate of pasta if you eat here.

In a small space too many tables though the restaurante was enlarged several years ago the ceiling is very low makes a bit more smaller anyway the family is fantastically achşevec this is a success story La Salute is good really good.

Te duur voor wat er geserveerd wordt. Het was het geld niet waard. Carpaccio was waterig, amper iets er op, en smaakte niet. Helaas ziek geworden, waarschijnlijk van de carpaccio, die had ik als enige. Véél lawaai, veel te vol, en te weinig personeel. Voor ons geen volgende keer.

Ja, het is gezellig, de pizza’s zijn prima, de service is goed, al moet je wel van de stijl houden die de obers hanteren. Maar damn, wat een prijzen. €17-22 voor een pizza? Come on… €3,50 voor een heel gewoon bakkie koffie? Desserts die, volgens mij, niet zelf gemaakt zijn en aangekleed worden met slagoom uit een spuitbus. Prima, op zich niks mis mee. Maar €10 vragen? Poeh… Nee, dat is écht teveel. Ik vond het veel te duur voor hetgeen je krijgt. Prima gegeten, maar nee, niet nogmaals.

Good quality Italian cuisine and the real service one expects. Seems the whole family helps out and all friendly and customer focussed. We sat outside (nice weather); inside seems to have an even better atmosphere.

Vriendelijk, meedenkend personeel. Heerlijk eten, typisch Italiaans, goede antipasta. Steenoven pizza's, spaghetti smaakte lekker en was al dente. Limoncello was naar onze smaak te zoet. Eten aan de dure kant.
