La Selva Food & Drinks in Roggel

After reading some reviews, we were already thinking about eating somewhere else. But then we decided to see for ourselves. What can I say? We weren't disappointed. The service was excellent. The food was truly amazing. We'll definitely be back.

The seating is very pleasant, with a view of the playground. The servers are also friendly, but the food...is the quality of a bad cafeteria for the price of a downtown restaurant.

Great place for drinks. Delicious beers, tasty snacks. The service is a bit hit and miss; sometimes you're helped quickly, sometimes you have to wait 40 minutes for your order (even when it's not that busy).

We ate here on the terrace on our last evening of vacation. The food is delicious! As many have mentioned, the service is subpar. The wait for the first contact after being seated was far too long. Several guys are not allowed to take orders, and the colleague who can take orders takes forever. And oh yes, a jug of tap water seems free. But nothing could be further from the truth. This is billed as a jug of orange juice, so we simply pay for it.

Food was fine, but the wait was too long.

I sat down at a table that hadn't been cleared yet. After 15 minutes, someone came to take my order and make sure the table was cleared. Twenty minutes later, still nothing. Food was ordered, but no drinks. And again, the table was cleared. After an hour, the food arrived, and the table was still full, so they took a few plates back, but no drinks or cutlery. After asking for cutlery, they said they'd be there soon. After 10 minutes, someone finally came to ask if there was anything they could do. Yes, they were done with the bill, so we'll eat somewhere else. It looked so delicious, unfortunately.

The food was delicious, but the patio was a bit messy because they don't clear the table immediately after people leave. The staff were friendly!

Heerlijk geluncht, bediening goed, eten heel lekker. We hadden de 12-uurtjes (heeft andere naam), brood is flat bread. Direct aan despeeltuin voor de kids

The location is great, especially for families, as there's an indoor playground and a playground right on the terrace. The food is unfortunately a huge disappointment. When the fries and kibbeling are bad in Holland, it's really sad. The service is also poor. Slow, rude, and unfortunately, unkempt (dirty fingernails). It's okay to stop by for a drink... But we won't be coming back for the food.

Had a lovely meal with the family at La Selva last night. Nice long table for 12 people. We were welcomed by Bianca who helped us all evening with lots of humour. Definitely back next year

Enjoy a drink on the terrace. The youthful ministry took some time to get going, but in the end it went well with a nice dose of humor. Great place to let the children play and relax as a parent. Now 2 days later we had dinner there with a group of 11 and we have adjusted the stars downwards. The food: Nothing but praise for the kitchen. Ok the carpaccio was a bit watery and we missed the pine nuts. The price-quality is ok. The pasta, cod, ribeye all tasteful. The service: pffff it took a long time, chaotic, unstructured and uncleaned tables everywhere. Total lack of leadership.

A wonderful place to dine, our daughter was able to go to the children's disco while eating, which you can see from inside. We found that the service was a bit disappointing. We had indicated that it was our daughter's birthday, but nothing was done about it. In addition, they came to ask if the main course could come through and 30/40 minutes later it was still not there (and then incomplete, which can happen!). Despite that, we had a great seat and the staff was friendly. So we would go back!

Super nice location, fast service, but the food is unfortunately at the level of a takeaway restaurant. We both had the poke bowl. Instead of wasabi mayo, one bowl used regular mayo. The sushi rice was undercooked and completely unmarinated (no salt or rice vinegar). Since the other ingredients weren't fresh either (canned mango and frozen beans, etc.), the dish unfortunately didn't impress us. The portion was also very small. The taste was okay, but the value for money was terrible. I would only go here for drinks.

Nice, but it takes a long time before they come to take your order and later before you get your drinks.

After waiting 25 minutes and asking twice if we can order, we left again, which was a shame. Especially because there are plenty of staff around... but they don't contact customers.

We (2 adults / 1 child) had dinner at La Selva last night. And I have to say we were thrilled. I can't understand the bad reviews. The service was great, very accommodating and extremely friendly and the food was really very good. We are often in the Netherlands and are familiar with the local food... which is often very “fried-heavy ;)” and not very diverse. We adults have the 2 course menu (starter / main course) and our daughter has the children's menu (starter / main course / dessert for 16.50.-) I had a salad with a large selection of fresh vegetables and chicken and a very tasty salad dressing (very important ;) and as a main course fried salmon on vegetables (red cabbage / chanterelles / carrots / peppers... but the wild mixture went very well). Potato wedges, the salmon was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, just as it should be. The portion sizes were also really good. The adjacent indoor playground is of course a highlight for children. We'd love to come back.

Bediening was prima maar het duurde steeds te lang eer de verschillende gangen op tafel kwamen. Bij de hoofdgerechten kwamen de patatas brava pas toen de meesten het bord al bijna leeg hadden. Restaurant was echt niet druk dus geen reden om telkens zolang te moeten wachten. Uiteindelijk voor dessert vertrokken. Niet te doen met kleinere kinderen als je na 2 uur pas voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht hebt gehad.

Very small selection of food and drinks. When we ordered, the waitress told us that there was no child citizen, which is why we ordered a normal citizen for our junior. After waiting almost an hour for our food, we finally asked the waitress if the food would be there soon. To this the young Damme replied; "Oh, they wanted to have the main course. First there would be cutlery for half of the 4 out of 8 people, then little by little the adult dishes and at the very end the children's dish. We normally know things differently. The citizens were borderline and the The potatoes were very dry and therefore only partially edible. The starters and the dessert were OK. Meanwhile, a children's citizen was served at the next table. When I asked why we didn't get a children's citizen, we were told We would not recommend the restaurant.

Ok, dining at a holiday park of this size cannot get 5 stars, and that's true. It's not good, it's not bad, details are the deciding factor. Wine glasses still wet after rinsing, no new cutlery at hand, a force majeure of staff who pay no attention to their guests. And so on. Consciously opted for a reservation at 7:15 PM because of the large number of babies and toddlers in the park, but the chaos in which the later reservations are allowed to eat has nothing to do with customer focus. If you want a good, relaxed meal somewhere, look for it outside the park!

Het restaurant ziet er leuk uit en er is een ruim terras. De tafels/stoelen en menukaarten zijn wat smoezelig, maar dat is te verwachten bij een camping. Helaas waren de glazen ook niet geheel schoon. De bediening is jong, maar vriendelijk. Op het bord buiten wordt reclame gemaakt voor de nacho's die geserveerd worden. Deze waren echter teleurstellend. De chips zijn bedekt met voorgesneden, ongare groenten (die waarschijnlijk ook door de pastasaus of op de pizza worden geserveerd?) en daarover ligt een witte gesmolten kaas zonder smaak. Het gehakt lijkt kant-en-klaar gegaard te zijn, maar is niet op smaak gebracht of opnieuw gegrilld, het smaakt niet lekker.

We had dinner here with our 2 children and grandparents. Delicious food and very pleasant service. Young lady who kept a close eye on everything. Food was delicious (burgers, salmon, pancakes). The only downside: it took a long time for the dessert to arrive (about 25 minutes). With 2 young children it was a long wait. Fortunately, 1 of the 2 had a great time in the adjacent outdoor playground. Recommended!

Good food good location and a great service from Tattiana, we had a great laugh !

Had dinner here with 7 people at the end of a weekend at De Leistert park. For the little ones, bickering with fries, pancakes and ice cream in a nice take-away cup. The adults ate tomato soup and/or carpaccio with main courses ranging from grilled bavette, hamburger to salmon skewers. Generous portions! All this supplemented with a generous amount of fries and potatoes. Desserts: cheesecake and strawberries with ice cream. It was all delicious! Good taste and served in consultation by extremely friendly staff. We enjoyed it!

Fast service, friendly and cheerful staff. We never had to wait long for our order. Food was delicious. Tomato soup, carpaccio and main courses were all delicious!

We were a table of 10! All the meals were served in a very timely manner & were delicious. Great service, friendly staff, good value!

Great sandwich @two in the morning!

I have to write something about the service here in the indoor playground at La Selva. What a horrible experience!! Pressed the bell exactly 8 times to order drinks and still no employee came! My son had subsequently fallen and was bleeding, so I wanted a plaster, but no employee ever came. Once and never again!!!!

Helaas was onze ervaring niet zo best. We bestelden na een poosje wachten onze lunchgerechten, echter toen het geserveerd werd zagen we dat de patat heel vet en slap was (duidelijk gefrituurd in te koud vet). Dit gelijk gemeld en we zouden nieuwe krijgen. De pancakes waren meer koud dan warm, de tosti was de kaas amper van gesmolten en werd ook al koud geserveerd. Toen na 25 min de tweede patat geserveerd werd (dit keer wel goed) bleek dat de kipnuggets en de kaassoufflé van de eerdere levering, warm gehouden waren op de bordjes (bordjes waren heet) deze waren dus inmiddels 25 min verwarmd en niet meer lekker, ook de komkommer en tomaat die op de bordjes lagen waren mee verwarmd, geen aanrader!! Verder netjes geholpen, maar al met al niet tevreden en wij gaan zeker niet meer terug daar in onze vakantie op de Leistert! Vrij prijzig ook voor wat je krijgt en de kwaliteit (lees diepvries tosti en kant en klare pancakes)

Unfortunately, our experience was not that good. After waiting a while we ordered our lunch dishes, but when they were served we saw that the fries were very greasy and limp (clearly fried in fat that was too cold). Reported this immediately and we would receive new ones. The pancakes were more cold than hot, the cheese on the sandwich had barely melted and was also served cold. When the second fries were served after 25 minutes (this time they were good), it turned out that the chicken nuggets and the cheese soufflé from the previous delivery had been kept warm on the plates (the plates were hot), so they had now been heated for 25 minutes and were no longer tasty. the cucumber and tomato on the plates were also heated, not recommended!! Furthermore, they helped nicely, but all in all not satisfied and we will certainly not go back there during our holiday on the Leistert! Quite pricey for what you get and the quality (read frozen sandwich and ready-made pancakes)

Beautiful restaurant and great appearance, but the service is really, really bad. The restaurant was far from full and there was more than enough service. We had to wait a very long time before we could order the first drink. We also had to ask twice for the food to order. Indicate whether the children could receive the food at the same time as the starter. This was also unsuccessful, the children had to wait almost 1.5 hours for their food. Also had to ask twice for that. Service is very unprofessional and could use a good manager, because they spend more time chatting with each other than serving. They really could have earned so much more from us if they came by more often and were a little friendly. Missed opportunity and a lot of work to be done! The food was very tasty, there is nothing to say about it.

A very nice restaurant. The concept with the menu that you choose yourself is great because you can decide how many courses you want while you're eating. The staff are friendly and attentive.

The restaurant is not well attended and the waitress prefers to walk past you five times instead of picking up drinks. After a loud complaint and 20 minutes later something to drink was actually brought. I can't judge the food because I've lost my appetite and haven't ordered anything else.

Nice (indoor) playground with good facilities

We were ordered first and had to wait a long time, so we didn't have time for dessert. For the rest it was good.

You cannot eat separate starters or main courses and also strange dishes. Lunch dishes are mediocre and very similar. There are 6 staff behind the bar, I think the manager can manage his staff better

Triest hoe langzaam het gaat , er is genoeg personeel aanwezig die er niets van snappen ! Staan een beetje op een kluitje bij de bar , ik zou toch echt een horeca tijger op de vloer zetten .

Food was ok, but overpriced in our opinion. Especially if you take the menu. The indoor games area is good for children.

Has this gone bad!!! Opening hours, service, cleanliness... Everything leaves a lot to be desired.

Food was decent, everything took a very long time. Food didn't come at the same time for the whole table, waited a long time for drinks, had to ask repeatedly for fries. Dirty plates and used glasses and bottles were not removed. Much annoyance! Too bad, ruined our evening, waste of money.

Restaurant with indoor sand playground

No service! Despite requests and a number of occupied tables, no drinks could be ordered or taken to the terrace.

Bizarrely bad service. Wait 35 minutes for your drink outside on the terrace. Then (because people are not coming) record your order on a notepad and bring it to the table yourself if necessary. Once back at the bar with a notepad “sorry bar is closed, no orders outside” 0.0 flexibility and only 15-16 year olds running around with earphones in, no central management from someone with significant catering experience. Sad mess, jokingly forgetting that we spent €350 on dinner for our group last night. Embarrassing

Food was tasty but not hot. The food was not served right away, it took more than 10 minutes.

The pizza is tasty, but the schnitzel is disappointing. So stick to the pizza 😄 there is an indoor playground for the kids and a bowling alley for the adults, so in short it is good for a few hours of fun.

Although the service was very friendly I was not really satisfied with the food. For me it is middle class...

Had problems twice with the online ordering system, but this was resolved very well after our complaint! Food was tasty and friendly staff!

The place is very great for families and children and the price is reasonable

Na diverse negatieve reviews hadden we van tevoren onze bedenkingen, maar we zijn hartstikke tevreden! De bediening was vanavond vriendelijk (na lange periode hoogseizoen), het eten was boven verwachting en de gintonic was zeer royaal gevuld. Enige verbeterpunt wat ik nu kan bedenken waren de onscherpe messen, waarmee het zelfs een flinke klus was om door een broodje te snijden.

Lecker aber recht laut- genau richtig mit Kindern, da es dort wird zugehen darf. Essen war solide, nichts elegantes aber das hat ja auch keiner erwartet.

Wij vonden het eten prima (en zijn echt wel kieskeurig) en herkennen de klachten van anderen niet. Bediening is heel vriendelijk en dachten goed mee. Bijvoorbeeld of het gerecht voor de kinderen gelijk met ons voorgerecht geserveerd kon worden. Vroegen na het voorgerecht of we het hoofdgerecht gelijk wilden of nog even wilden wachten. Royale voorgerechten. Bavette was heerlijk mals en parelhoender had een heerlijke saus. De aardbeien van het nagerecht waren heerlijk en dat in oktober. De kinderen kregen gelijk een kleurplaat en konden nog in de binnenspeeltuin. Opstelling van tafels is ruim. Het enige minpunt dat ik kan bedenken is de ratatouille. Die bestond voornamelijk uit uien. De prijzen zijn gemiddeld.

Ohne Zweifel handelte es sich um die schlechteste Bewirtung, die ich je erlebt habe. Das Personal war überwiegend jung und leider wenig motiviert. Selbst die Pommes, die Bestandteil dieses überteuerten Essens waren, erwiesen sich als ausgesprochen minderwertig. Die Tische in der Gaststätte waren verklebt und selbst auf Nachfrage wurde keine Reinigung durchgeführt.

We hebben genoten heerlijk gegeten en de bediening was top. Ze hadden nog een leuke verassing voor onze jarigr dochter.

Lekker gegeten met hele familie. Mijn zus was jarig en hier werd op een leuke manier op gereageerd!

De verjaardag van onze dochter gevierd, lekker gegeten en gedronken, bediening en sfeer was uitstekend, uitermate vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. BEDANKT

Essen war Lecker. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für das Abendmenü ist vollkommen angemessen. Vorher die Karte lesen ob einem diese zusagt. Eventuell wäre hier zu überlegen vom 2-4 Gang Menü wegzugehen und einzelne Gerichte Abends anzubieten.

Lekker gegeten, zeer vriendelijke bediening en keukenpersoneel. Het was druk dus wel wat langer gewacht op het eten. Met kleintjes handig om er vroeg te zijn. Dan hoef je daarna er niet over te klagen zoals in andere reviews! Heerlijke plek om te zitten, want de kids kunnen de heuvel afrennen en in het speeltuintje voor het terras spelen!

Met de hele familie hier gegeten tijdens een weekendje op het park. Helaas echt een teleurstelling. Wij zaten lekker buiten op het terras met het mooie weer. Omdat we met 8 personen waren moesten we zelf tafels samenvoegen, ondanks de reservering. Geen hulp vanaf de bediening. Tafel en menukaarten waren plakkerig. Keuze uit een 2 of 3 gangen menu. Stevig aan de prijs voor wat je krijgt. Gekozen voor de carpaccio en de bavette. Carpaccio kwam duidelijk uit de koeling met sla en al. Ijskoud op het bord en daardoor smakeloos en vrijwel geen toppings. Daarbij bestelde we wat wijn, bier en 2 cocktails. Die vervolgens gebracht werden met 8 ijsblokken en 1cm vloeistof. Na een opmerking hierover werd deze vervangen. We wilden graag wat kraanwater erbij hebben en kregen dit in een grote plastic kan dat iets weg had van een Tupperware maatbeker. Omdat het donker werd buiten gingen we naar binnen want er was geen verlichting aanwezig bij onze tafel. Binnen werd de bavette geserveerd op koud bord, waardoor de steak al lauw was voor de eerste hap binnen was. Vlees was redelijk. Gebakken aardappels prima. De kids wilden ook graag een biefstukje, maar dit stond niet op het kinder menu. Hiervoor hebben we dus 2 keer de prijs van een volwassene moeten betalen. De keuken bleek om 20.30 dicht te gaan dus ik heb me afgevraagd hoe het dessert om 21.30 geserveerd kon worden. Leek alsof ook dit kant en klaar uit de koeling kwam. Het was overduidelijk dat ze ook hier kampen met ongeschoold personeel en tekorten. Borden eten door laten schuiven door de gasten naar de juiste persoon, over het hoofd van gasten uitserveren en 8x bestek op de hoek van de tafel neerleggen terwijl het eten al geserveerd is, is ronduit slordig. De rekening bleek niet te kloppen. Echt heel erg zonde. Want de locatie is top, groot terras. Mooie binnenruimte en personeel is verder wel vriendelijk.

Met kleinkinderen tosti's gegeten. Na het spelen in de zandspeeltuin gingen die er wel in. Duurde even wat het geduld van de Kids op de proef stelden.

Zeer prima eten en service, erg gezellige sfeer

Ontevreden vertrokken. Hier komen we niet terug, voornamelijk vanwege de slechte bediening/service. Lang wachten, zowel om te bestellen als vervolgens het serveren. Je moet als gast teveel je best doen om iets geserveert te krijgen. Seinen, seinen, vragen, vragen. Waardoor je de neiging krijgt om zelf naar de bar te lopen en het zelf in te schenken. Opnemend personeel kijkt niet on zich heen. Eten is verder wel prima, behalve de maistorttillas, erg saai/flauw.

Het is zoeken naar pluspunten bij La Selva en die vinden we vooral in de lieve aandachtige bediening. Het eten valt enorm tegen. Er lijkt veel uit kant en klare verpakkingen te komen. Er wordt niet gevraagd hoe je het vlees wil (is het sous-vide gegaard?) de garnering ratatouille bestaat vooral uit rode ui, de friet is veel te slap en bleek gebakken, de patatas bravas zijn veel te zout en er is geen creativiteit mogelijk bij een voedselallergie. Het eten komt wel razendsnel en is warm. Dat is een voordeel voor volwassenen maar een nadeel voor kinderen die nog 5 minuten naar hun friet en frikandel zitten te staren voor het genoeg afgekoeld is. Er staan geen prijzen op de kaart voor alleen een hoofdgerecht, alleen voor 2 of 3 gangendiners. Pak er gerust een toetje bij want de prijs van een los hoofdgerecht t.o.v. 2gangendiner is uit verhouding. Wij komen niet meer terug (ondanks de lieve meiden in de bediening)

Fijne plek, tafels niet te dicht op elkaar. Leuke bediening, kindvriendelijk (maar waarom zijn er geen puntenslijpers voorradig???) Jammer dat de lekkere aspergesoep lauw was.

Food is well prepared, but we had a very slow service…

Super mooie plek en heerlijk gegeten eerste paasdag. De borrelkaart was perfect en de service van Esmee, met haar erg fijne wijze van omgang met de gasten, was super prettig.

Leuk restaurant! En super gezellig en leuk personeel! Aanrader!

Friet met piri piri. Friet smaakte best echt de piri piri was erg karig.

Geen idee wat dit soort restaurant hier doet weinig aanbod, hoge prijs. Mooi aangekleed maar totaal geen sfeer. Prima eten, beperkte keuze

Slechte bediening erg discriminerend behandeld door het personeel jammer ik kwam met een goede instelling kwa service echt 2 ster paar x wat bestels maar kwam maar niet ,keuze kwa eten was er haast ook niet echt , voor de rest prima maar er mag echt wat worden gedaan aan het personeel van de bediening

Leuke eetgelegenheid, met grote zandbak/speeltuin Concept is 2, 3 of 4 gangen. Wel maar 3 gerechten te kiezen per gang, waardoor weinig variatie... Maar over het algemeen wel goed en lekker eten

Gezellige omgeving. Eten prima/ok. Tiramisu met hint van limoncello lijkt niet op tiramisu. Moet je van houden. Hele mooie indoor speeltuin voor de kleintjes. We denken dat er qua ruimte niet veel mensen tegelijk kunnen eten ivm hoeveelheid personeel. Reserveren is nodig.

Meerdere broodjes besteld als lunch. Waren geen van alle het geld waard. Matig belegd , alles koud en ik denk zelfs niets zelf bereid. Ik denk dat er op het moment geen kok aanwezig was. Alles zo uit de koelkast op een broodje gelegd en uitgeserveerd. Zeer matig. M

Prima plek om even een hapje en een drankje te doen als de kids even buiten in de speeltuin aan het spelen zijn.

la selva is bijna niet open door personeelstekort. we waren er met de bingo en het assortiment drinken was zeer beperkt.

Voor een vakantiepark, een heel gezellige gelegenheid. Verzorgde verse gerechten., vriendelijke bediening
