Best place for hummus and falafel and healthy salads.

Today, I went to Le Sud because my friend was craving an eggplant wrap in Lebanese bread. I couldn't resist trying the falafel wrap and the mango hummus, and everything was amazing—very tasty, full of flavour, and fulfilling! I also had a wonderful conversation with the staff. They are very lovely and helpful. I would give more stars if I could. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

Consistent quality and delicious food and snacks. I like all the aubergine dishes as they really remind me of Iranian homemade food. Friendly staff, it's money well spent as I can't find anything with same quality in Amsterdam.

Heaven for a vegan! I got the aubergine broodje and it was soo soo delicious! They have an amazing variety of flavors of hummus including mango, caramelized onion, zaatar and much more! This is my second time back and one of my new favorite places to grab a bite in Amsterdam! Just fyi it is to-go only but you can find benches along the street to sit and eat.

The food here is delicious and the quality is top! The staff is not only customer-friendly but also child-friendly! I recommend everyone to definitely try a falafel sandwich and the chicken balls! Honestly, everything I've tasted so far has been super delicious. Plenty of choice! Highly recommended!

Great sandwiches and perfect for lunch

We have been going here for 15 years, simply wonderful hummus lunches to take home or on a picnic. Never had better! Favorites are the mango, the walnut, the eggplant humuses, with the Lebanese bread they also sell, or white Turkish bread from the Mediterranean bakery down the road.

One of the best catering/takeaway places I've ever been to! I had catering from Le Sud for a party of mine, it was perfect. The dips nibbles and olives were amazing and tasted so good and full of flavour. definitely recommended! The staff treats you so well too!! What a great place

I really liked this place. It’s a quick grab and catch restaurant with a wide variety of options that all have a new twist in the taste. Some had a good taste, others lacked a bit of more flavor. Staff are friendly and helpful. The place is inconvenient if you wanted to eat outside, it’s more for takeaway

I ate 2 falafel wraps and they were really fantastic. A wrap only costs 6 euros and is very filling. Not expensive. We even received an extra bowl of hummus for free. Recommended.

A pearl on the Haarlemmerdijk. An incredible choice of houmous and other Mediterranean delicacies.

In addition to super tasty food with delicious flavors, lots of herbs, an intensely large range that makes you dizzy when you walk in, but they quickly show you the ropes or help you choose, search and let you taste. Great for dips and olives etc at a party, or if you don't want to arrive empty-handed. Very Suitable for Vegetarians! There is also some meat and they have gluten free falafel.

Not a restaurant, but at least as good! The attentive staff behind the counter, which is very rich and beautifully stocked, immediately sees questioning looks and supports overwhelmed tourists (like us) ;) Following the recommendation, we chose 2 falafel wraps that were put together from the individual components from the counter. The price is a bargain by local standards, especially once you have bitten into it and can enjoy this wonderful taste. Last but not least, I was here again shortly afterwards and ordered 2 more wraps, this time one with eggplant and additional feta. You can also have the individual delicacies tackled and enjoy them at home with a glass of wine. Mandatory program next time!

This place is a hidden gem. The owner is always very friendly and lets you taste everything. The flavors are fantastic and so much better than most other stores. Personal favorites are: lentils with spicy hummus, hummus with grilled eggplant, grilled olives and the beans in sauce.

A great place to get falafel, but also other good sandwiches. A wide array of options to top it off. There is a small place to sit and dine in, but take away seems to be the popular option.

Wow! We had several different items and they were all phenomenal. Had no idea what to order with the extensive menu options and the owner helped narrow down the options. I was blown away by how good the food is and really recommend stopping by if you are in Amsterdam!!! I love humus, and I now I’m ruined because this restaurant’s hummus is so superior to anything I’ve ever had I don’t want any other hummus again. I don’t have any photos because we started eating so fast! Nice location, we ordered take out.

If you want to taste something to make a choice. Successful lunch, all containers were empty and it tasted like more! Another satisfied business customer! Must try; Lebne, Kashki, Hoemoes mango, fried eggplant, pumpkin salad, muhammara.

The Haarlemmerdijk has so much to offer. You can easily get lost in this street. An employee from the cinema “The Movies” suggested I pay a visit to Le Sud. Since my stomach was rumbling and I didn’t want to go into a film with an empty stomach. The display and variety of colors, ingredients and flavours are mesmerizing. The staff is very friendly. And the owner takes great care of his employee’s reminding her that her tea was getting cold in the breakroom. How nice is that? For me all the flavors really complimented each other. It felt like every spice was working very well together like teamplayers doing a homerun lap in your mouth and around your tongue. While eating my falafel wrap in the store. The owner told me Le Sud will be celebrating it’s 14th year this November! Which is an incredible acchievement is it not? The only reason I gave ‘sfeer’ 4 stars is because i’d love to dit down and maybe dine from a bar with some bar stools looking out at this amazing street. However the products and flavours are so diverse you can mix and match and eat very varied. It’ll take weeks before you’re tried it all. A must visit for everyone who loves mediterranean food and the kitchen of the Middle East.

Super lieve mensen die heerlijk eten bereiden! Toen per ongeluk het verkeerde gerecht bij mij werd bezorgd zorgde ze dat ik binnen 15 minuten een overheerlijk broodje bezorgd kreeg en ik mocht het andere (niet bestelde) mocht houden!

Een meester! De man achter het succes van Le Sud is een ware meester in het bedenken van smaakcombinaties gebaseerd op prachtige producten. Vraag hem, of een van zijn dochters achter de toonbank, je te adviseren met je keuze en de gelukzaligheid is nabij.

Fantastisch!! Een aanrader. We komen er ook om te halen. Eigenaar is een super aardige man en geeft uitleg wat er in zit. Een groot assortiment. Alles is daar gewoon lekker!!

On-point rating 9,3 I frequently go here for catering on the boat or to get a falafel wrap after gym. I love the wrap (5,95) its filling, healthy and properly stacked with humus, salad, peppers and of course falafel. This place is run by I believe hard working family that loves to cater people with good food and honest prices

Das Essen war einfach perfekt! Es war super geschmackvoll und es gab eine riesige Auswahl an verschiedenen Gerichten. Also so leckeres Essen hatte ich ehrlich gesagt lange nicht mehr. Preislich auch absolut fair und die Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend. Ich werde auf jeden Fall öfter kommen und den Laden an Freunde weiterempfehlen!

There is a wide selection of food and what we bought was tasty. However, “dine-in” is a bit exaggerated. There was a low table with a bench in the corner, to which you could take your food. Because the shop ended up getting very full (a good sign, of course, that the food is good), we ended up taking out food and eating at a nearby bench. It is really a take-out delicatessen type place, but if you are expecting to “dine” in a vegetarian restaurant, this is not the place to choose.
