I am a big coffee lover and the coffee here is just heaven, but their baked goods are truly matching that coffee as well. The atmosphere is just lovely.

what a simple and flawless concept!! perfect sour doughs, great natural wine selection; and French pastries. A great stop on a cold winter morning.

love their (milk-based) coffee and the chill atmosphere but i write this review because i just tried their rye choco cookie today and it is a-ma-zing. chewy chocolatey with the perfect amount of salt. my only regret is i only bought one and seems like they don't make it every day. 🤣

Excellent sourdough bread and delicious canele. The staff is very fast and friendly. I got everything to go, but next time I'll definitely stay to try their sandwich and other pastries. Unfortunately, there's limited seating.

My go to in Amsterdam, and for a good reason! The cinnamon brioche is my guilty pleasure alongside their coffee which is good and consistent. I love the fact that everything is sourdough, so naturally their bread is also divine! Always a joy to sit in if you are lucky enough to snag a seat 🤎☕️

On the door it says open till 17:00 but we couldn’t get a coffee at 15:30 because one of the staff (girl) closed the machine an 1hr and 30 minutes before closing. The owner should be asking his staff some questions. Happened on 22/9.

Phenomenal bakery, stuff is being baked fresh repeatedly during the day so the aroma inside is always pleasant. I usually get the cinnamon rolls or sandwiches around lunch time.

The sourdough is nice but it’s expensive for the size. And the service wasn’t very good as well. I think there are better options for great sourdough in Amsterdam

Very lovely bread!! I had the sandwich of the day which was really great, will come back to try their pastries as well. The cafe itself is quite small but they have a nice bench outside.

Outtight expensive and not very friendly

I’ve bought from this shop before and was happy, but my recent Too Good To Go bag was disappointing. The bread was small, dense, and underproofed! unfortunately not edible. The cookie was crumbled apart. I know the bag is discounted, but I still expected better quality.

Your cheesecake is good, but if you cut it any smaller it will be see-through. Being a bit stingy there at that price point 🤦🏻

Great bread, solid natty wine selection. Service is helpful and nice, everything always smells as delicious as it is - hard to walk by and not stop.

Service is slow and not very friendly. Pastries are often dry and over baked, and I don’t like natural wine. However, they make some of the best sourdough bread, it’s excellent, and that alone deserves 4 stars.

I got some bread and it was delicious. The place felt really cosy. They had other baked goods, sandwiches, wine, books, etc. I will return to explore more.

I tried the cinnamon brioche and loved it! They also have great coffee. Other than that a few pastries and bread. Not a huge menu but still nice. What I am not sure of yet if you can also have a glass of wine here since they do sell loads of wine. Will have to come back to try that. The service wasn’t really friendly which was a bit of a min.

Pastries are quite tasteless and not an enjoyable texture. The cinnamon barely has any inside and the cardamom tastes literally like a hint of it on spelt bread.

Good bread, but expensive for the size. staff was not very kind. I was the only customer and they did some other tasks instead of serving me. They package the bread in a tray bag, not very suitable.

The bread is one of my favorites in Amsterdam with the perfect balance of taste in sourdough and same for its texture. Same for the focaccia with olives. The cinnamon and chocolate buns are tasteless but I think that’s because they want to highlight their dough and not make it a typical Sweet bun.

Sandwiches here are always a special treat.

A nice bakery with delicious bread and good coffee. Also affordable by Amsterdam standards: €13.25 for two cappuccinos (one with oat milk), a whole loaf of bread and a Madeleine. There isn't much seating space, and the stools are a bit uncomfortable, but I definitely recommend taking something with you!

it seems like no further hype is needed, as a food loving crowd is always present. Still, the baked goods need to be pointed out: heavenly soft crunchy tasty bites. The Foccacia Sandwich was my favorite, madeleines and caneles are equally not to miss! 🥐🥪

Gorgeous little hole in the wall bakery. I love the pastries but it’s their sourdough loaves that are my favorite.

This is my favourite place for sour sourdough bread and foccacia. What makes it special is that the dough tastes actually sour and it’s the most delicious. This makes me want to be a regular.

Some of the best sourdough foccaccio, white and rye loaves I've had the pleasure of eating anywhere. I haven't tried their viennoiseries yet, but I bet they're as scrumptious as they look. My only caveat: Don't leave your shopping till too late or you risk finding the baking racks bare, as happened to me today, sniff.

Best sourdough in Amsterdam 🫶 the olive focaccia are next level - and they have a great selection of natural wines. Really minimal seating if you want coffee so would usually recommend takeaway or getting coffee elsewhere.

If you're in time for a sandwich before they run out (get there before 13:00 to be safe), you're in for a treat

Really nice artisan bakery and natural wine shop in one neat combo. Great selection, which varies from very affordable natural wines to more rare selections. I spotted a few rare bottles from Anders Frederik Steen in the store. The bread selection is small - but great - focusing on french classics. There’s also a small selection of books available. Definitely recommend this little shop.

Delicious bread and focaccia. Really disappointed about the organisation. Waiting line for nothing. Just bad organisation. You might stay in line for long time. Only one person doing coffee, super slow, and serving customers. This on Saturday. Ridiculous. Mostly I walk away during the weekend.

A real french bakery with one of the best kouign amann I've ever eaten. There are also exquisite brioches and other pastries.

Poor value for money. There are better bakeries out there. The pastries I received were dry as a bone.

5/5 for their naturel/plain sourdough loaves which are delicious! Though I haven’t tried all sourdough bakeries in A’dam, this one is definitely on the top of the list; you can taste the sourdough tang with each bite and the loaves have the perfect crumb. PS. They offer their day old loaves for a good discount; just ask 😉

Cosy place to enjoy a coffee and a treat or even some lunch and wine. Cute interior and perfect for people-watching the street!

[UPDATED REVIEW in light of bakery’s response.] Fully agree with other reviewer that quality continues to go down. Burnt loaves (for me) have been the norm. Also I routinely come midday during work week and they are sold out of the basics so suggest coming in the morning for best options.

Je eet nóóit meer supermarktbrood als je dit brood hebt geproefd. Dit is het echte werk, zoals brood bedoelt is. En dan hebben ze ook nog allerlei heerlijke lekkernijen. In een koelkastje links ligt echte Franse gezouten roomboter. En bij de ingang heerlijk verse biologische eitjes. Man man man, wat een genot 🥰😋 En dan zijn ze ook nog eens lief❤️

This sourdough bread changed my life!!!!

I had a brioche and it was not up to standard at all. Contrary to the french vibe its name tries to give, the bread was really dutch - dry, didn’t smell buttery and very salty. I think calling that a brioche is a false representation. The personnel was also unkind and not accommodating - would not recommend if you’re after good bread.

I have to say everything is very good, except for the cinnamon and cardamon rolls ( dry and tasteless). But I'm giving 5 stars because the bread, baguette, gallettes, cheesecake, sandwiches, salami, eggs are sooo good! 😍 The bread + baguette have a good crunchy crust + soft inside. Hard to find something like this in Amsterdam. Good coffee too.

Het zuurdesembrood is heel lekker, maar svp investeer in een broodsnijmachine, want het is super veel werk om het brood zelf te snijden. En het stokbrood was er vroeger elke dag, nu alleen in het weekend; jammer.

Fantastic bread, one of the best in the city. Sour, but not too sour. Crumb was good and the loaf was also very edible the next day, which is rare.

I did not plan to go here, but I felt an amazing pastry and bread smell while passing by and now I can not stop going here 🥺🥺 Amsterdam is a city that has a real shortage of good bakeries so this is a true gem! And their canneles are to die for 🥰 They also have an interesting selection of wines
