Lieve Lente in Centrum Oisterwijk

Yesterday, Christmas Day, at 4 p.m., we dined with your staff. Upon arrival, we wished them a Merry Christmas, which received absolutely no response. We were then seated in a corner near the entrance, where it was very drafty and cold. We mentioned this to the staff, and they replied, "It'll be warm in an hour because it'll be full." It wasn't even 15 degrees Celsius when we arrived. Your staff certainly didn't have any Christmas spirit! If this is what your restaurant strives for, then it was a great success!

A bit of a noisy big table inside... But hey, you can't help that, can you? The food was good, and the autumn menu was very reasonably priced. Delicious!

We've been coming to Lieve Lente for a long time. But for a while now, you get a shot glass of water with your wine. Before that, it was a regular glass. My feeling about this is contempt for your guests. A kind of mockery. Forcing people to buy a bottle of Spa. Look at your neighbor (where we've moved to as our permanent address, by the way). A perfectly normal glass of water (even with ice in warm weather). It costs nothing. It can be done that way. Again, you can even charge for a glass of water. But don't insult people by reserving a "thimbleful" of water.

Lieve Lente, waar blijft mijn eten? Een vraag die ik mezelf te vaak heb gesteld in de twee uur dat ik aan mijn lege bord zat, met een nog legere maag. Ondertussen worstelde ik met de diepere vraag: 'waarom ben ik hier naar binnen gelopen?' Het menu is eenvoudig, maar niet op de trendy 'less is more'-manier, nee, helaas niet. Lieve Lente serveert een uiteenlopende variatie aan gerechten uit verschillende keukens, maar heeft alsnog geen enkel gerecht dat eruit springt. Dankzij mijn tafelgenoten heb ik verschillende gerechten kunnen proeven, maar niets was zo opmerkelijk als mijn teleurstelling. Ook zit er geen ziel in de keuken en het lijkt alsof er maar wat gedaan wordt met het eten. Het eten heeft weinig smaak en wordt met dezelfde liefde bereid als diepvriesmaaltijd. Verder zijn de porties klein. Je zal dit restaurant verlaten met ongeveer dezelfde leegte in je maag en ziel waar je het "restaurant" mee binnen bent gelopen. Alleen is jouw portemonnee ondertussen ook een stuk leger. En als kers op de taart, pasten de serveersters ook helemaal bij het geheel, want zij waren net zo smakeloos als het eten.

Zeer lekker gegeten op onze 38e trouwdag. Vriendelijk personeel en een leuke omgeving. We hebben op het terras tegen de gevel aan een heerlijke avond gehad met goede gerechten en heerlijke biertjes. Echt een aanrader.

Slechte, vieze, dure tent. Onaardig en arrogant personeel. Eten zat geen smaak aan. Kortom zeker niet aan te raden, ga hier niet heen om lekker te eten.

Great food, great service. We sat outside and enjoyed our dinner. Usually we don't sit outside due to the smoking and vaping. However the air was clean, no smoke, no vape. I don't know if this is normal for this restaurant or if we were just lucky, but it sure was nice to have dinner without all the smoke.

Too bad, I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich that was so hard around the edges you couldn't even cut it with a knife. Of course, I said something about it, and they said a grilled cheese sandwich should be hard around the edges. I told them not to be so hard and tapped my plate. "I'll pass it on," she said, but I didn't hear anything more. Bye dear Lente, there are plenty of places.

A wonderful discovery during our stay in Oisterwijk: good food (choices for all tastes), friendly service, a pleasant atmosphere, and reasonable prices. I highly recommend it.

Ongezellig personeel en voor kraanwater bij de koffie moet je betalen. Dat hoort echt niet. Misschien even toch nog wat horeca ervaring opdoen in een gastvrij professioneel restaurant.

The salmon was so overcooked it tasted like canned salmon. The vegetables and rosti rounds were a disgrace. Very poor quality for the price. Don't fall for it. Tourist trap!!!

Het twaalfuurtje vis was een zompige zooi op 'n te klein bord. En dan ook nog noorse garnalen die zijn al waterig, en nepkrabsalade ook. Dus het brood was ook zompig. Toen we vroegen of ze het brood niet beter apart kunnen serveren, snauwde ze terug dat ze het zo altijd deden. Veel geld voor een smerige lunch. Kritiek dat mag niet.

Enjoyed drinks and snacks on a rainy market day. Attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere. Good prices.

Our table was wobbly. This wasn't pleasant to eat in. The waiter refused to fix it, saying it was our own fault. We had moved the table. By placing a magazine under the legs, the table was stable again. However, upon leaving, we were met with a strong barrage of wind. You don't do that at home, and it's even worse. We no longer feel welcome. I hope the staff realizes there are other ways to do it. And that service is also important for the experience and the decision to return.

The bites did not seem homemade, but thawed and reheated.

The food was good, but the service was mediocre on Friday, July 6th. Like our neighbors, we had to wait a very long time for a glass of wine. It was a real shame if that only arrived after the food was finished. It also took a lot of effort to get the staff's attention several times (with one exception). A waitress was supposed to come back to help us, but we didn't see her again.

Went here for dinner with my girlfriend on January 25, 2025. Food was good that evening and so was the atmosphere and service. But we were also there for a purpose. We were looking for a restaurant where we could have dinner with a small group after our wedding. And we went here on recommendation. And we liked it. So we reserved that same evening for our wedding day. They looked into the computer and it was possible. Emailed about it the same evening. Once again confirmation that it was possible. And then we emailed back and forth about the menu, in which the day we would come was mentioned several times. So we are completely happy. A month before we get married, the restaurant informs us that we cannot come. Because they are closed because they are having a staff outing because they have been around for 25 years. Have it and that whole day is already fully planned. He did ask his neighbors if we could come there. And in compensation we would like to offer the entire group a glass of cava to go with the wedding cake. Well intentioned. But we chose him because of the atmosphere in the restaurant and what was on the menu. And then we look at what his neighbors have on the menu. Then we have to say No to that. And yes, that cava. That's not really for us either. Fortunately, we have already found another restaurant. And we are going to make it a beautiful day. As people from dear Spring already wrote in the email to us. It's a good thing they found out a month in advance and not on the day itself. Because that will put a huge damper on the day. As if that wouldn't already be the case. Fortunately it has been resolved. But dear Spring doesn't have to count on me ever setting foot in there again.

A cozy catering establishment in the heart of Oisterwijk. Friendly staff and the food is also excellent.

Leuk restaurant in het centrum met terras en aardige bediening. Lekker eten maar wel erg grote porties maar ja dat is bourgondisch Brabant he. Heeft verwarmt terras.

Years ago it was good, now it's very disappointing. The kitchen is closed at 8:00 PM, so you can no longer order anything from the drinks menu. At 9:15 PM they announce that the last drink can be ordered. Then at 9:30 PM they come with the receipt themselves because they are closing. So an evening of drinks is not an option!

Disinterested staff, and the burger was so raw you could have turned it into meatballs.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere is nice and cozy. Two of the waitresses (especially the older ones) were friendly, as they should be, but the two younger ones were very unfriendly; verging on rude at checkout. Shame.

Bad kitchen, super salty, hardly any choice for vegetarians, glass of tap water €1.25, inhospitable, mainly no to our requests and bitchy responses. We were not allowed to take a seat at an unreserved spacious table because we were not more than 2 people, even though we had bags and a dog with us. We were put at a cramped table overlooking the toilet. Later in the evening there were clearly unreserved guests sitting at those tables. Very bad experience, anything but sweet........

Eten veel te zout, ongastvrije reactie op elke vraag, kraanwater €1,25, prettig gelegen ongereserveerde tafels daar mochten wij niet plaats nemen zgn omdat wij niet met meer dan 2 waren. Wij mochten met ons gezicht naar de toilet kijken terwijl er nog een hond bij was. Later op de avond zaten er gewoon wel duidelijk ongereserveerde gasten met z'n 2en aan deze tafels. Wij waren bijna opgestaan en weggegaan hebben spijt dat we zijn blijven zitten. Alles bij elkaar een slechte ervaring. Lieve Lente wat ons betreft alles behalve lief.

Het personeel was vrij gezellig, maar het eten is smakeloos ik was niet tevreden. De visgerechten waren vrij droog bijna niet door te slikken en de vleesgerechten waren ook niet al te best. De tent was best sfeerloos.

Nice location and good food. Unfortunately we had to wait too long for our food due to a shortage of staff. Shame.

Er zat een groot gezelschap binnen dus we moesten lang wachten voordat we konden bestellen. Uiteindelijk was het eten matig. Varkenshaas die niet gaar en niet mals was, romige knoflooksaus die echt niet lekker was, onduidelijke ondergrond onder de paprikaprut en half zachte frites.

We didn't eat badly, nor did we eat very well. Spare ribs mediocre. Fries mediocre. But do years go out to eat twice a month? In my opinion, restaurant 'Lieve Lente' is seriously overrated, some background about a recent visit: - A glass of tap water for an order over €25 costs €1.75. - Service only responds to very loud shouting (gestures, friendly questions, etc. are not noticed) from me, but also from others. - The table next to us dropped a container, they cleaned it up themselves. - 6 frozen prawns in oil for €2 per prawn.......

I regularly visit Lieve Lente. Good price-quality ratio and always delicious food. Both lunch and dinner. Friendly staff, a bit nonchalant but that's fine by me.

Prima zaakje. Groot terras. Prima service. We hebben hier geluncht en alles was prima. Verwacht niets culinairs . Het dorpje is heel erg leuk en gezellig. En druk ook doordeweeks.

When the rosé was served, the wrong bottle was brought. This was more expensive than the one we ordered. The more expensive one was included in the bill afterwards. Later it turned out that there were also two limochello on the bill that we had not ordered.

Excellent restaurant/bar near the centre of town. We had a friendly and warm reception and the rest of the service was excellent. Food choice was varied and our meals were both tasty. Would definitely visit again.

Friendly staff, cozy terrace, inside it was comfortably furnished. The food tasted great and came in nice portions. Unfortunately, we were just not lucky with the steak (chamois/fat/not medium). The other starters, mains and desserts were great.

Uitstekend restaurant. Mooie inrichting. De porties zijn (zeg maar) groot. Maaltijd was prima. Personeel zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij. Kortom: een aanrader als je iets in Oosterwijk zoekt.

Had coffee this afternoon and as usual I asked for a glass of water with it. Got a small glass and had to pay €1.75 for it. Now if it were a bottle of spring water, OK. Simply outrageous.

We were looking for another restaurant but walked in here. Because there was room, we decided to stay for dinner. Spare ribs, 2 large pieces but little meat between the cuts. The taste was also disappointing, dry and tasteless. The next day we went to the neighbors (Mals) where we got 1 large piece, but with wonderfully tender meat. I would go there for spare ribs in the future. Staff were friendly. We find the atmosphere disappointing.

We only wanted to eat soup, no problem! The next day we had an extensive dinner. Very friendly staff and tasty food.

Had a nice lunch for two, it was ready very quickly (nice, because I was hungry!). Friendly staff. The price of the orange juice was quite high, but otherwise nothing to complain about. The staff was not pushy about drinks, which I find annoying at other places.

Nice terrace, good service, friendly and reasonable prices. Update Nov 23: I now understand that people complain about the disinterest of the staff. I experienced several times last summer where I was treated downright unfriendly. After 2 of these experiences I decided that they won't see me there anymore. Too bad because the location is great and the food is good. But if as a guest you get the feeling that they find you a nuisance, then there are better things to do.

Delicious and enjoyable meal, both chicken satay and schnitzel for the kids and we had a delicious veal tenderloin with truffle risotto.

Lunch with 2 people and 1 child. Had to wait more than 45 minutes for the food. The food itself was fine! The service was mainly busy talking to each other behind the bar. Ordered coffee, but had nothing after 20 minutes. So in the end I paid the bill without coffee and left.

It was a very pleasant evening with delicious food. The service was also very friendly. The only downside I had was that the food was a bit on the salty side.

Much has deteriorated. René has to tighten his people again. Service was disinterested, not attentive. Food wasn't bad for an eatery, but the ambiance has deteriorated considerably in a few years. There is no longer a line. Service in shorts, dressed differently, making it unrecognizable. I'll wait to come back until it's as it was, still plenty to improve. Last night (8/31/23) new attempt. It was quiet, but the staff paid more attention to each other than to the guests. Without asking we got fish instead of meat. Things have gone well for too long with Spring, then nonchalance creeps in. Good leadership really needs to be introduced here again, the staff present does not understand it.

I can really recommend this place. I took a surprise meal from the manue and got a exciting 3 course menu. Would visit again :-)

Nice and lively terrace in bustling Oisterwijk.

Op een heerlijke zonnige dag streken wij neer op het terras van Lieve Lente aan de Lind in Oisterwijk. Lekkere hapjes, ruime keuze Belgische en Streekbieren super vriendelijke bediening. We hebben genoten!

Enjoyed an autumn menu. Friendly service and attractive environment. 16-7 had a nice meal here again with my wife. Surf and turf was great.

The restaurant exudes a wonderful vibe, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff members are also incredibly friendly. One standout element was the remarkable freshness of the asparagus, adding a burst of vibrant flavor to every bite. However, it's worth noting that the main course missed the mark with its excessive saltiness, which somewhat detracted from the overall dining experience. Despite this minor setback, the restaurant's positive attributes shine through.

This place is in a nice location, but the service was terrible. It was immediately impossible to have a good afternoon. Immediately ordered some drinks, but when we wanted to order food we waited 45 minutes but no one came to take our order. Tried to signal someone from the service but without success. Half the time there was no one from the staff outside to be seen, even though they were looking out the window from inside. After 45 minutes we decided to move on. We asked at the bar if we could pay, where we found the waitress ladies working on the phone. After commenting about the long wait, the only response was an indifferent response. So we moved on to the village inn a little further away where the food and service were top notch.

What a delicious meal we had tonight! We had the 3x3 surprise menu! Was great, more than enough! Delicious wine! What great service, this makes an evening out for dinner very special! Highly recommended, we will definitely come back!!

We had a delicious lunch here a few times during our holiday on Thursday market days. We thought all dishes were delicious and more than enough, the fish sandwich, the fish lunch, the spicy chicken on a roll, everything was delicious. We especially find the service very friendly, cheerful and accommodating. Great👍

Had a nice meal here. We had the 3x3 surprise menu. All 9 dishes were fine, although sometimes they combined a bit strangely. (Asparagus, stew and paella) when ordering, we were asked casually if we wanted fries with the main course. You will then be hit in the neck for this. All in all, a good meal for a fair price.

We have given it a chance several times, but despite this the service is really substandard. Everything takes far too long, you have to ask yourself to order food, receive the bill, etc. Drinks are also forgotten. Disappointed 3 times after 3 visits, but the food is fine. Fortunately, there are plenty of other nice tents on the Lind!
