In this old building, where time seems to have stood still in terms of furniture, but it wasn't at all distracting. We enjoyed a delicious toasted sandwich with a wonderful cappuccino and ginger tea. The staff was friendly, so in other words, a great location for lunch.

Nice place, nice interior, nice story, delicious food. What's not to like?

The brasserie is housed in a historic building. We sat in the conservatory, where the original stained-glass windows are still visible. It's nice and warm inside, and there's plenty of space between the tables. The service is friendly, and the coffee and especially the cake are delicious.

Beautiful cafe in a wonderful neighborhood with a good parking lot close by if you need to drive. I was so happy to see they carry gluten free bread, so I was able to have a delicious grilled sandwich. The staff are very friendly and the service was very fast. I hope to visit again soon.

Cozy brasserie with a charming garden terrace. We enjoyed drinks and pastries, excellent quality. Vegetarian options on the menu are indicated with a symbol. No gluten-free options on the menu. Gluten-free options are available; please inquire with the staff. No wheelchair-accessible entrance. However, the staff does indicate that assistance will be provided for guests climbing the stairs. Due to the building's listed status, permanent wheelchair access is not permitted.

Charming Spot with Great Gluten-Free/glutenvrij Options As someone with celiac disease, eating out in a new country where I don’t speak the language can be nerve-wracking. Fortunately, the staff at Brassiere Lever spoke excellent English and were very understanding about my dietary needs. I enjoyed a delicious club sandwich on gluten-free bread paired with a couple of macchiatos, all while taking in the cozy atmosphere. The combination of the rainy/snowy weather and the café’s charm made for such a memorable experience. The history woven into the setting adds an extra layer of appeal. Highly recommend this spot to anyone—especially fellow celiacs—looking for a cute, accommodating place in Sittard!

Ordered: ham sandwich WITHOUT arugula. What do I get? WITH arugula. And a sandwich with such hard crusts that I didn't eat more than half of it. And that after waiting 35 minutes. Just bad service! NEVER here again.

This is a beautiful catering business in a historic building. We were lucky that a large table just became available. It is not easy to find a table for six during the afternoon in Sittard. My cheddar and chorizo ​​sandwich was tasty. The chorizo ​​itself was not spicy, but the sauce was. We didn't have to wait too long despite the place being packed. The service was friendly.

Call me "five star Gary" but I am often fortunate enough to trust my instincts and go to places I would rate as 5 stars. I try to keep a wide berth of places which look like 1 or two star potential. But anyway, Leven is a good place to start your day or visit mid afternoon. Great food. The bread and croissants were amazing. Coffee is delicious. The ambiance of the back garden and beautiful building is one of a kind. This is in a historic part of Sittard. Near the old school which is now a Doubletree. I highly recommend this place for the service, food and location.

Food is tasty and sufficient. Good quality too. Furthermore, the menu is sufficiently extensive, although you will not encounter any surprises. The brasserie is located in a beautiful old building, but there is a lot of noise due to the bare walls and open kitchen (including the washing-up kitchen). Not suitable for people who are very sensitive to this (or the weather must be good for the terrace)

We had something to drink at this brasserie during our visit to Sittard. A beautiful and striking old building that exudes atmosphere. There is a large and beautiful terrace, where we were able to sit in the shade. The employees are very friendly and hospitable. A nice stop to recover from shopping.

It is a striking mansion from 1909 in a late neo-Gothic style and it is a national monument. Kleikamp's building was a household name in Sittard. For years, Kleikamp was Sittard's Winkel van Sinkel, where you could buy everything, from wind rifle pellets to garden parasols, from nail clippers to dartboards and from screwdrivers to fitness equipment. Due to changed purchasing behavior and competition from large chains, Kleikamp could no longer run it with its old formula. Today the history continues in the beautiful lunchroom "Leven", run by Bert and Ivo. Suburb 2 Closed on Sundays and Mondays Other days 10am to 6pm

Displeased. They advertise homemade tuna salad on a sandwich. Homemade tuna is simply poured from a can onto a small slice of bread. Next to the small slice is a very large, thick, unfilled slice of bread (fresh, by the way). Side salad was very dry, dressing was hard to find. No, no next time for me and I'm really not a whiner when it comes to food

Brasserie Leven ('to enjoy'). Nice place. Trendy brasserie in a monumental building with conservatory and garden terrace. Very sober but attractively decorated with calm colours. Good for a delicious cup of Limburg coffee (Blanche Dael) and a tasty lunch. Friendly service. Highly recommended.

Probably the best option for gluten-free breakfast and lunch in Sittard. With a variety of sandwiches and granola. Gluten-free sandwiches come with a 1 euro surcharge. Lovely atmosphere in a beautiful old building. Had a nice coffee, the place does not offer gluten-free cakes however.

Ordered a cappuccino with soy milk and a coffee life. With the coffee life you get a glass of eggnog with whipped cream, mocha beans, a piece of nougat and a coconut macaroon. You also get a cookie with both coffees. The price-quality ratio is more than okay and the coffee (Blanche Dael) is super tasty. Service is also friendly. Recommended! :)
