If I could give the service 6 stars, I definitely would! What delicious pastries! They're incomparable to other bakeries and supermarkets, but the price reflects that. It just depends on what you're willing and able to spend. We've now placed eight orders with Limburgia, twice in Broek op Langedijk, near Alkmaar. Unfortunately, it closed down, but the service wasn't fantastic. In Assendelft, they're not fussy about delivery; everything is possible, and payment is easy and confidential with a Tikkie. I hope this shop survives; there's nothing else like it in North Holland right now.

We found a bakery; apparently, Browniehuys is no longer open. What a pity.

I came in here for the first time this morning because the baker in the little square at the market square was on vacation, and the atmosphere was so oppressive from the moment I stepped inside that I was gone within two minutes. There was also a very sweet girl behind the counter with the pastries who was clearly bored, didn't dare look at me or say hello, and felt very uncomfortable, which made me feel strange. Maybe next time I'll do better.
