Lin Fa Chinese Indisch restaurant in Wijk 01 Centrum Zeist

On the evening of Friday, July 31st, I went out for dinner to order Foe Yong Hai. During the meal, a huge piece of eggshell landed in my mouth. When I mentioned this, the explanation given was that they use fresh eggs—about eighty a day—and so this can happen. In the entire time I have eaten Foe Yong Hai, I have never experienced anything like this. No discount, no drink as a mea culpa! The result: the next morning I felt unwell, later in the day I vomited, had severe stomach cramps and diarrhea with a fever. According to the doctor, it was food poisoning; the food came out after about 20 hours just as it had been consumed the night before! An eggshell in food can contain bacteria or salmonella on the shell itself. Very annoying, because I am visiting family in Zeist and have been lying in bed sick there since yesterday. What annoys me most about this is that the restaurant has made absolutely not the slightest effort to take even the slightest responsibility regarding this incident. I am considering reporting this to the NVWA because I find it unbelievable that a restaurant using fresh eggs is unaware of the dangers or consequences of incorporating a raw eggshell into food. I will list them here: bacteria, salmonella. Not just from having the shell in your mouth, but this actually spreads throughout the entire food! A restaurant should absolutely realize the consequences of this and certainly not try to 'brush it off' with a smile and an irrelevant explanation for the customer.

Ordered the takeaway monthly menu. €28 for 2 people. Simply very good and tasty. Very generous portions. Also very friendly staff. Will definitely come back.

Babi ketjap; What a bowl of scrap meat. Not crispy, fell apart. All small pieces in a not-so-tasty sauce. Noodles poorly filled, but okay. Tried it again, but never again.

The restaurant is excellent, delicious food served quickly, and also a nice atmosphere. Ordering food is also great, often on time and just as tasty as in the restaurant, highly recommended!

I ordered food for delivery; I am sick and didn't want to leave the hotel room. I checked the box for disposable plastic, which I assume is cutlery. There is nothing included. I called, but it wasn't listed on their list. I have the receipt in my email and it is clearly stated there. This is terrible... I even left a tip, and I regret that so much... worthless business.

A culinary surprise. Today I went to dinner with a fellow student at Lin Fa, a place I'd never heard of. We opted for the surprise menu and were treated to a culinary surprise. Flavorful, freshly prepared, and a delicious combination of dishes. As an Indo, I was pleasantly surprised! As a bonus, I was able to meet the owners and hostess, Marieke, who made this evening an unforgettable experience. The food, the atmosphere, the ambiance, the conversations—in every way, it was more than an excellent evening. Thank you, and I'd love to come back. Highly recommended! Ordered food, it was supposed to take 40 minutes, it took over 90 minutes... called several times, always busy, finally got through, the delivery person was on his way, we were the second in his route, as a result the food had cooled down considerably to even cold and to make matters worse it was not complete so called again, it was delivered later... I think never again

Ordered takeout. When I got home, they didn't include any bami. I was told over the phone to pick it up. Only the person with the car had driven off immediately. She wanted to transfer money for the bami and pick it up elsewhere, as there weren't enough delivery drivers... I didn't agree, and the owner kept yelling at me over the phone. Finally, she said she'd deliver the bami in 40 minutes, and then I'd have to microwave the pangang. Because I persisted, they finally delivered both the pangang and bami, after some very rude remarks from the owner. She was also yelling at the staff while I was waiting inside the store. I feel sorry for these guys and girls.

The food is usually good/tasty. For a long time now, ordering through Thuisbezorgd has included a flyer to order directly from them. I tried it for the first time today, and it barely makes a difference (convenience is more important to me through Thuisbezorgd), AND there's a last-minute charge for iDEAL payment (which seems €0.25 too high, considering only the actual cost should be charged). If you pay by credit card (Mastercard or Visa debit cards also work), you don't pay this extra service fee!

A truly delicious TiPan with chicken. A warm welcome and, upon departure, a wonderfully friendly chat with the owners. What lovely people!

The owner is so friendly and cheerful, truly excellent service! I was here with a vegetarian friend and we enjoyed several vegetarian dishes, including lohan and tofu ketoprak. Everything was absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be back! 😄

Had a great meal at Lin Fa! The dishes are fresh, well-seasoned and beautifully presented. Especially the babi pangang and the tjap tjoy were really great. The service is friendly and attentive and you immediately feel welcome. A must for anyone who loves good Chinese-Indonesian food!

Babi pangang ordered via Thuisbezorgd.nl. Meat was hard, dry and tough, the whole thing had little taste. This is not how Babi pangang should be. Once but never again.

I recently went to Lin Fa in Zeist and the food was really delicious! The portions were big and I really enjoyed the taste. Everything was served on time and it looked good too. Really recommended if you like Chinese food. Our waitress was a young lady and she really made the evening complete. She was very friendly and attentive, and made sure everything was neat and on time. Really recommended!

I came here for the first time. Spring rolls were fine but we had to wait an hour for them. Very long, I don't know if I thought it was worth it. Too bad, no apologies or anything.

Don't. Never go there. Bad food. Tasteless. Long waiting times. We ordered 2 specialties. Half pineapple with chicken and vegetables and Beef Hot Wok. We got a hollowed out half pineapple with 2 pieces of pineapple in the dish and 2 pieces of pepper and extremely tasteless chicken in a tasteless pink sauce. The beef hot wok was flambéed at the table on a spirit burner in a stainless steel bowl for 20 seconds, ready, because I wanted medium beef. The beef was still raw, the onions were still raw, the whole thing in a black bean sauce. Terrible.

Today I placed an order via home delivery, it was delivered very quickly, first of all. My noodles/chicken is 1000000 percent not from today, the chicken was very dry and hard. It's outrageous how you can have this delivered to people!

After a not so positive experience when picking up at the old Slotlaan location, I tried the 'new' Lin-fa after years. That was also the last time for me. It seems that the kitchen cannot handle it all logistically on a busy (New Year's) day... while the restaurant was (still) closed. The spring rolls were very tough, the Tjap-tjoy very coarsely cut and the mini spring rolls were forgotten. Even though the food was visibly indicated through the hatch from the kitchen, the dishes were no longer very warm when we returned home (after a maximum of 8 minutes). It also seems that the cooking is not really done with 'passion'. On the bami special there was a thick slice of 'egg sausage' (that it still exists!) Frying an egg is apparently too difficult..... On the other hand, the chicken satay and tomato soup were highly appreciated. Next time I will drive a little further......

My order only arrived more than two hours after ordering and the phone was only answered after 9(!) calls in 45 minutes. I complained about this via Thuisbezorgd.nl, this is really ridiculous. Fortunately, the food was tasty and the delivery person was friendly, but it is still a shame if you are waiting and they are not available

Ordered a combination meal (babi pangang, tjap-tjoy and foe yong hai) for 2 people via Thuisbezorgd with a delivery time of 17:45. We live in Zeist, 15 minutes from the restaurant. The food was delivered half an hour late, was lukewarm and had no smell or taste. We will never order from here again. What a disappointment!!

Been waiting for my order for 2 hours and 20 minutes. Just called and it's only now leaving she says not normal never experienced so long. Just not worth a star. Unfortunately have to give 1 star to post😞.

Delivery too late. Babi pangang tasteless but fortunately with SPLINTERS. Tasteless noodles. Highlight the prawn crackers. This is still possible to prepare. If you don't feel like cooking, don't take orders. Or just stop. Never again.

Had takeaway here for the first time and it did not disappoint. Delicious satay (with homemade satay sauce), babi pangang, nasi, noodles and spring roll. A perfect Sunday evening.

Food is good but delivery is a disaster. Ordered at 5:30 PM and it was delivered at 6:30 PM, which is acceptable. But at 7 p.m. I called to see where it was, vague story, they were working on it and it was busy (always on Sundays), had to be put on hold because they would ask how long it would take and then hung up the phone... at 7:30 p.m. finally the delivery person at the door. Next time I'll either order it somewhere else or get it myself.

Very customer friendly and make sure you wear gloves when eating, otherwise you run the risk of eating your fingers..... 😉

Today we have been waiting for a spring roll and nasi with babi pangang for an hour and a half. Ordered at 5.40 pm and now at 7 pm still nothing!!!! Already the second time we have to wait so long and CANNOT be reached by phone!!!!!

What a good Chinese/Thai restaurant this is! What a delicious and delicious meal we have had for the second time now! My table companion went for the Thai chicken with tender chicken fillet, fresh vegetables and herbs from Thai cuisine, red curry, deglazed with coconut milk, delicious (slightly) spicy in taste! A big 8.8 I went for the hot wok beef. Very tender tenderloin at the table, quickly fried alternately and prepared with black pepper, excellent!! A big 8.6 It's been a long time since we were able to enjoy such good food and such high quality in an oriental restaurant. The wine, a chardonnay, is also nice and fresh and delicious in taste. The interior does not look specifically Chinese, but has a pleasant mix of oriental and modern styles, very pleasant. The hostess (owner?) is a very hospitable and helpful lady who thinks along with you and makes you feel very welcome! The whole thing therefore gets a well-deserved rating 8.8!

We ordered food to pick up. Normally we do this in Driebergen at the Indonesian, but LinFa is only a 1-minute walk for us so we wanted to try it. The ordering process went well, but the food was a real disappointment! For the combination dishes you got really small portions and the flavors were bland. Next time we will take a trip to Driebergen again because the price quality is so much better there! Too bad LinFa.

No idea what happened to this restaurant, but since moving to a new building, the food and delivery times have been very bad. A new owner? Start-up problems? Many mistakes are made and with a bit of bad luck you may end up waiting 90 minutes or more for your food. They are also very difficult to reach by telephone. Hopefully we will soon get the quality we are used to from Lin Fa again. Edit: After a year there is little improvement. People will continue to order here because it is still the only Chinese in the center of Zeist, but it has become very mediocre. My expectation is that Lin Fa will also stop soon. There are better restaurants in the Vollenhove and Bunnik shopping centers.

Ordered from Lin Fa for the umpteenth time and again the food has not been delivered half an hour later than agreed. Ordered at 3:30 PM for 6:30 PM but it is already 7:00 PM and still nothing. Last time it was also more than an hour late...

I was told this and some other things when I ordered for 67 euros and called to say that a container was missing. I eventually got that bowl, but if I had known how bad the food here has suddenly become, I wouldn't have even called for it. The food was always very good here, but now it was very disappointing. Well, the service was very friendly, but the food was less so. I ordered a piece of steamed cod, Vietnamese style. It looked beautiful but it was not tasty cod from the North Sea but some cheap sweet farmed fish from Asia. Tilapia or Pangasius are therefore full of antibiotics and other junk. Another freshwater fish too. But probably grown in Vietnam. Dirty. If it says cod, it must be cod.

Placed an order today. The food is normally of good quality. But today the noodles were pangang. The meat isn't that good. It tastes like hard burnt meat. I called politely. I hope it will taste better next year.

On Tuesday, November 14, I placed an order at this restaurant. I had set the time at 5:45 PM then at 6:05 PM it had not yet been delivered, so I thought I would call where it is, to which the answer was 'the delivery people are slow but your food is ready and would be delivered within 10 minutes. . Then it wasn't there after 30 minutes. In the end the order was placed at 6:40 PM, while it was said on the phone that it would take 10 minutes... then the food arrived cold and the spring rolls were soggy, so I called this restaurant again to indicate that the food was cold and the spring rolls were soggy. To which I get the answer that this is not possible, sir, because the food has only just been prepared, while I was told half an hour ago that the food was already ready and they were only waiting for the delivery person. So he's just lying to me. He then tells me that from now on I will have to pick up the order myself. What bad service!

I'm not going to portray the restaurant too negatively. I've had delicious meals there for years, but it's really less so now. In the combination dishes, everything is in small round bowls and it is difficult to detect any vegetables in the nasi goreng with the naked eye. Very unfortunate and hopefully temporary.

The food was delicious, but when you order Chinese noodles you don't expect to get noodles with a little pak choi in them. You can buy those noodles for €9 at Appie Hein for €1. However, the cha siew was good, just a bit of a shame about those noodles.... luckily the Chinese noodles in Alkmaar are better than this Chinese one 🤪

Delicious food and delivered fairly quickly. Warm enough. The spicy cassava prawn crackers were also very tasty and plenty of it. Positives that they had several vegetarian options (I had the kong pao tha-hoe, in the photo). You get enough food for 2 days.

Was difficult to find at their new location. Vegetarian: We didn't like rice. There was no fried rice without meat. Quality is too expensive for that taste. Vegetables: there was a full bowl of bamboo and very little tofu. = really ripped off. It was said "...with lots of vegetables". Well... it was awful. I expected at least salty chunky oil, but alas... The plus point is fast home delivery.

No, but this is a unique experience, NEVER go there. I put 0 for everything, I'm going to eat this July 19 for the first time, I have a young girl who serves me and I ask her that after the soup, we wait at least 30 minutes, my two year old daughter and my partner are eating soup and starter and the owner brings the dishes. So I explain to her that we haven't finished and she packs up the dishes. An hour and a half later, not seeing the dishes arrive, I asked for the dishes and a bottle of wine, the owner told me that the kitchen was closed and therefore we would not have our dishes. So I explain to him that I asked his waitress that after the starters we take a break, she tells me that there was a lack of communication but nothing else. I ask her to call her waitress and she tells me that she has left. I have NEVER seen this in my life, what a shame and lack of professionalism!! NEVER AGAIN HELP

After reopening at the new Steynlaan location, we immediately reserved a table. There were still some start-up problems in the service and in the kitchen. Indonesian menu in my opinion a bit too much for Chinese taste. But definitely get another chance

Ordered food. Was only delivered after 80 minutes (instead of 45 minutes). It was said "we don't drive for 1 order". Indicate in comments what should be gluten-free and vegetarian. Ordered duck breast, couldn't eat it. Very dry and not even fresh. Chicken dish tasteless. It looks more like the one I ordered bean sprouts dish instead of chicken. Tasteless. First and last time. I will never make this mistake again. A waste of money

Unfortunately, the duck was blue/green in color and it was also very dry. Duck is not freshly prepared. The other food was ok/not super tasty. We didn't feel well after eating either. Not to be repeated.

Today our local Chinese was sponsored. ~Ordered the following~ Spring roll special: tasty but lacks an omelette and is a bit on the soft side Chicken satay: taste is good, chicken nice and tender, just little sauce (tip in a cup instead of a bowl) Chinese noodles with chicken: Lots of chicken, but a bit too bland and on the dry side, if they had given a little more satay sauce with chicken satay, it would have been good. And vegetables on the raw side. Delivery on time, so in good condition! Overall 4 stars! 👍🏻

A bit less the standard furnishings. Friendly staff. The map is also slightly different. Not just the standard Indonesian dishes. We ordered, among other things, a rice table. Neatly cared for in earthenware containers. 9 dishes that were simply delicious. The peanut sauce, for example, was not the standard sweet stuff but just a tasty sauce Recommended

We used to eat at Lin Fa regularly and loved the food there. Haven't eaten Chinese food in a long time. Had the monthly menu delivered today. Everything was still nice and warm and we enjoyed it. We will definitely do this more often.
