We had a blast here. It was very reasonable when I bundled it with a canal ride. It included a mixed drink in the warm bar. Then we had an introductory video and a”Captain” yelling at us. Next we were given coats and gloves and ushered into the “ship” at 15 degrees. We received 2 cold shots inside. It was a blast.

This was one of the most disappointing sports bar experiences I have ever had. Me and two friends arrived around 10:00 PM, almost two hours before kick-off, because we wanted to have dinner, enjoy a few drinks and watch the Argentina vs. Cape Verde World Cup match. To our surprise, the bar was not serving any food at all. We were ready to order burgers, fries or anything simple, but there was nothing available. We ended up having to leave the bar, walk to McDonald’s, eat outside because there were no seats available there either, and then come back to watch the match. When we first arrived, the atmosphere inside the bar was calm. However, once the match started, a group of people who appeared to be Dutch arrived, as they were speaking Dutch. They were clearly intoxicated, shouting constantly throughout the game, and smoking what smelled like marijuana very close to us. Because of the constant yelling, we could barely hear the match commentary. It made the experience very uncomfortable and unpleasant. The worst part came at the end of the game. While the match was still being played in stoppage time, the security staff started telling everyone to leave. Instead of allowing the game to finish—which was literally only minutes away—they stood by the TV and forced everyone out before the final whistle. It was around 1:48 AM, and the match was still officially in progress. I completely understand that businesses have closing hours. However, making customers leave while an important match is still being played, after we arrived early and intended to spend the evening there, shows a complete lack of consideration and customer service. I have also attached a photo taken at the moment the staff began asking everyone to leave while the match was still in progress. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a live sporting event.

The bartender on the left told me to go see the bartender on the right. The bartender on the right sent me back to the bartender on the left… and then I have to PAY to use the restroom!? Even as a customer who's ordered drinks? That's the first time I've ever seen anything like it.

Great atmosphere, great service, and such a fun place! The whole team was friendly and welcoming. I visited this place with friends to watch a FIFA World Cup match and we ordered drinks twice along with food. After we finished eating, the service became very unpleasant. A waitress with black hair latina lady with glasses repeatedly pressured us to order more drinks. When we politely declined, her attitude changed and she became rude. She even brought over a security staff member, which felt completely unnecessary and intimidating. The fries were terrible, and the overall service was just as disappointing. I hope the owner takes these complaints seriously and works on improving both the food quality and customer service. After reading other reviews, I can see that many customers have had similar negative experiences. That’s really unfortunate. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place.

Live Amsterdam Pianobar is an absolute blast and a must-visit for a fun night out! The atmosphere is electric, with great music that keeps everyone entertained. The service was good and the staff were friendly, although it can get very crowded, so expect a bit of a wait during peak times. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy some drinks and live entertainment in the heart of the city. Highly recommended for the vibe alone!

They are really abnormally mean at the cloakroom. NOT recommended.

Last Saturday, I was at the Live. I had lost my ticket, but I did have a photo of it. However, I didn't get my coat back. Not even when I showed my ID, which was inside the coat, and showed photos of my coat. Then I had to wait for my coat for 3 hours, which meant I couldn't go home until around 5:30 as a 20-year-old girl. I was also ignored by the cloakroom staff. Purely bizarre.

The menu published on the website lists dishes that aren't actually available; the actual menu is very limited, and the staff doesn't explain the difference, not even offering a small discount. Furthermore, the prices on the online menu are lower. We went on a Saturday (in April), and there was no live music, even though the website said there is music every day. The food quality was average, but the prices were high. A real rip-off; it would be illegal in Italy! Don't trust them.

We booked the Live Amsterdam Piano Bar for our company party, and it was a great success. The atmosphere at the Piano Bar is fantastic, and with the pianist, it's the perfect location for a fun evening! We enjoyed a delicious three-course all-inclusive meal, and the service was fantastic; glasses were kept regularly refilled. Special thanks to Mitch, who made sure everything ran smoothly and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended for an unforgettable night out! We will definitely be back.

My friends and I thought we'd have a nice night out. We were quietly waiting in front of the restroom. It was very busy, but we weren't pushy and waited calmly. When we were at the front, my friend was about to pay when she suddenly got a hard shove from the woman, unexpectedly out of nowhere. She shoved me too, but my friend fell to the floor and now has bruises. I said, "There you go, because it's not appropriate to get shoved out of the blue, and you don't expect it at all." But I got a scolding and was shoved again. We left immediately because that kind of atmosphere is obviously not okay...

Nice place, but the woman at the restroom is truly awful. She wants to hit people and curses everyone out. It's bizarre how she behaves.

Do not go here. The lady that works at the bathroom is so incredibly rude. My friend got charged to use the restroom for 3 people, eventho she only went to the restroom alone. The lady had a big box of different candies and when i asked to get one she got very agitated and aggressive. I stood up for myself and told her she was rude, she got even more aggressive and grabbed and pinched my arm incredibly hard. Now i have the bruise in the picture. Do not go here, the lady quite literally verbally abuses everyone that wants to go to the bathroom and physically abused me.

On Saturday, July 5th, I watched the Oranjevrouwen on the many screens. The sound was off, which wasn't a problem; there was good music and later live piano. I was there alone, but I definitely felt seen and appreciated by the staff! Attentive and cozy, and...surprised with two free drinks...the sweethearts! I say: highly recommended! (I missed the restroom attendant...thankfully, judging by what I've read 🤭)

Bad business! Went out here on the 4th of July. The only positive thing about this place was the music. The staff was extremely rude, especially the toilet woman. The cloakroom woman could also do something. Together with 2 friends we paid to go to the toilet once. Then I asked if we could go to the toilet, in a very normal and friendly way, after which she immediately attacked me. This really came out of nowhere, which made me quite surprised and looked surprised. To which she said: "Take it easy, are you crazy?" "Don't look so stupid, are you crazy?" It didn't stop there and she just kept going. This is not how you should treat your guests!

Mitch the bartender served us drinks in the middle of the afternoon and made us feel so welcome to be guests in the restaurant. As an American tourist I really appreciated it as well as the advice for nearby local fare. Thank you!!

The staff was cool and the atmosphere was great. The mojitos were delicious. We had a light meal and ordered 20 pieces of snacks. It was just the right amount for four people. It gets lively later in the day when they have live music.

Told it's a bar for "students" and turned away by the bouncer. Never happened to me in my life. Says that it's a piano bar, but I guess they don't want anyone over 30 going there. If it's a student bar, that's fine, but they should advertise as such then.

I came with a group of friends to watch the Euro 2024 games and blocked our entire afternoon to come early to make sure we secured a good seat well in advance because we had trouble finding a place to watch in the earlier rounds. Before sitting down, we asked if we could stay for both matches and were told that was no problem. We were having a great time, but after the first match was over one of the waitresses was very rude to our group and insisted we had to leave since we had been there for the first match and it wasn’t fair we were staying because they had to “turn Dutch people away” because of us and even brought a security guard over to reenforce that. Meanwhile, there were many other groups that had been there for the first game that were staying, but were not getting similar treatment so it seems we were targeted for not being Dutch, despite the fact that our whole group has lived here for many years and were very interested in watching the games and being in the atmosphere. Luckily a lovely Dutch guy sitting next to us jumped in and defended us being there and we were able to stay, but I was very disappointed in how we were treated by this particular waitress. The new waitress we got after the incident was really lovely thankfully and we did get to enjoy the rest of the game.

The security guard tried to kick me out because I was blocking his view of the tv.. I tried to apologize and he grabbed my arm and tried to rip me out. When I was shocked and said please don’t touch me he mocked me. I’ve literally never been treated like that at any place with staff and it was extremely violating. Other staff also just randomly shoved and screamed at my friends if they were in their path. It was really shocking

We had a great evening at Live yesterday. All friendly and pleasant bartenders with a lot of attention for the people who were there. We immediately felt welcome. We also had a delicious meal. The cook came to explain how he had cooked the spare ribs (recommended); very nice. The pianist did a great job, including the Dutch songs that he sang for us as an American. We had a bite to eat and a drink here with a large group of 16 people. The email contact in advance was very nice and went smoothly. Dining requirements were taken into account and they have an extensive menu. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival. We enjoyed a delicious 3-course menu. The pianist was also very nice and was able to play all our requested songs. Definitely a nice place to go back to! And definitely recommended if you want to have a bite to eat with a large group and have a pleasant evening!

The waitress was very aggressive and not friendly, we had paid in cash when we wanted to leave the terrace, they said we had not paid, we showed our receipt and then they had a big mouth about it and we were sent off the premises with serious illnesses (cancer) itself, the security guard was threatened. Personally, I wouldn't go there again.

What a terrible experience! The toilet attendant started off as a nuisance and alerted security with false accusations. Then two rude security guards approached me and, without any justification, groped and searched me. After a humiliating inspection where of course they found nothing, I was unceremoniously thrown out. This club is a complete disgrace, and the security should be ashamed of their unprofessional and brutal behavior. They can be happy that I am not taking any action against this abuse of power. Terrible!

Summer 2023: Had a great evening! Had a delicious meal and drinks together with colleagues. Staff was very proactive and ensured that we will definitely come back. January 2024: Now away for an evening with a group of 9 people. Still opted for LIVE Amsterdam again but now booked the DeLuxe package. The delicious food in combination with the live piano music (from sing-alongs to background music) turns the dinner into a happening. The Deluxe dinner is a 3-course choice menu with 2 hours of unlimited beer, wine & soft drinks. It often happens that you really have to wait for service with unlimited drinks, that is certainly not the case here! Mitch & the ladies took good care of us, the food was great again, the cocktails were very tasty and the piano man created a good atmosphere. After 11 p.m. the party really started! In short; until next time!

We thoroughly enjoyed the deluxe dinner package, and as a surprise we received a piece of cake with fireworks from the staff! My girlfriend had a great birthday, we will definitely be back! And not just for the nice bartenders! ;)

While going out I had to go to the toilet where I had a very unpleasant encounter with the toilet attendant, she had an aggressive attitude and almost pushed me over twice while I was waiting politely. She said I had to make room. I immediately ran away because she scared me and then I went to the staff to report it because it really scared me. They didn't take me seriously and said I had probably pushed myself. A very unpleasant experience.

lekker terras midden in het centrum van amsterdam, ik had voor een carpaccio en als hoofd een cheeseburger. lekker en betaalbaar, na het terras binnen nog een drankje gedronken, ze waren open tot 05:00 maar dat hebben we niet gehaald

Heerlijk broodje gegeten kom binnenkort zeker terug maar dan met vriendinnen. Dit keer een BLTC genomen maar mijn moeder had een cheese burger en weet nu al dat ik de cheese burger volgende keer neem!
