Take the time to dine in instead of ordering takeout. We had a Christmas Eve rijsttafel (rice table) for six people. Absolutely fantastic! Friendly service, delicious and diverse dishes, and a relaxed atmosphere. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.

We had a wonderful meal here! The service was incredibly friendly and helpful. And the food was delicious. It was very quiet, so we could chat normally with our table companions. Even when we order takeout, it's always good.

Today, Christmas Day, we had a delicious meal at Lok Moon with four people. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious! Truly the best Chinese restaurant in Haarlem! ♥️

Lok Moon is not transparent. They've been offering a combination dinner for €11.60 for years: nasi and babi pangang. €0.70 for an extra nasi. However, I've paid €16.70 each time. Lok Moon apologizes, but the menu on the website is outdated. This is unacceptable and not allowed. This is misleading and customer-unfriendly.

Terrible. Stay away. Never again. It's rightly on sale. Is this bami like you're used to at Chinese restaurants? Just strings of noodles, and you have to pay extra for them. The rest was also tasteless. I was alone; no other customers were picking it up; it took 22 minutes to be ready.

I went here for the first time. The names on the menu weren't entirely clear to me, but I clearly stated that I wanted two dishes: Chinese noodles with chicken, vegetables, and spicy sauce, and Chinese noodles with chicken, vegetables, and sweet sauce. The girl at the counter asked if I meant curry sauce. I firmly said no, because I don't like curry. When I got home, I discovered the following: one dish had no sauce at all, just some burnt onions. The other dish had curry sauce! Neither dish contained any vegetables, except for some burnt onions and a few bits of burnt bean sprouts, and only 3-4 small pieces of chicken. To my surprise, there were also shrimp in it—there was no mention of that at all when I ordered. I paid 37 euros for all this, which ultimately ended up in the trash. Outrageous!

Ordered food. The special spring roll was well-filled and tasty. The combination dish was also good.

Very bad experience. The food tastes like plastic, and the incredibly unfriendly staff tries to rip you off (30%) right in front of you.

Had a nice meal with my brothers. The decor is very plain, but the food is good. Nice classic Chinese.

Poor place on the outside and not much better on the inside. The food wasn't great either, certainly not for that price. I won't go there again.

What a bad Chinese. The noodles tasted like nothing. White strings, dry, no ham or leek pieces to be seen. The babi pang course contained almost no meat. Lots of sauce and a stray piece of meat here and there. Will never order from here again!!! Really expensive too!! €45 for three dishes. Foejonghai 1 person, babipang gang 1 person, four dry balls with meat in them, with dry noodles, dry satay with nasty sauce, no, don't do that!!

My boyfriend ordered here a second time. Terrible customer service, it took almost two hours to get delivered and the food was half of what we got the first time. He called the place up after an hour and they said the food had been gone for twenty minutes. So he called the uber eats delivery driver and he told him he just had picked it up. For Chinese food getting so little of food for €70 is not tolerable, definitely won’t order here again

Unbelievably slow delivery, called 2 times and the staff hung up once and then gave a false delivery time. Food was half the size of what we ordered the first time. Never ordering from here again. Stay away from this place.

Babi Pangang, Koe Lo Yuk & sweet and sour chicken. Okay, maybe it's risky to order so many sweet and sour dishes, but this was really unbelievably bad: soooo extremely sweet, as if there were kilos of sugar in the sauce. It seriously hurt Glaze. Really bad (and actually very easy to adjust: more focus on fresh ingredients and less disguising the taste with +++ sugar/acid/salt). Shame! Unfortunately, never again for us.

What a rubbish restaurant. Starters had to wait half an hour which didn't taste like anything. Received a phone call that I needed to be hospitalized urgently. Hadn't eaten a main course yet but had to pay the entire bill. 94 euros... for 2 people... never, never again.

Friendly service, nice menu and good portions. The babi pangang was exactly as you’d want it to be from your local dutch Chinese restaurant.

For many years I have found Chinese-Indian restaurant Lok Moon, located on the Rijksstraatweg in Haarlem-Noord, to be the ideal place to enjoy Chinese-Indian cuisine. Obviously a super nice and hopefully lasting asset for Haarlem in general and for our beautiful district in particular. I always feel very welcome there. Maxim Mulder

I ordered the Chinese noodles with shrimps and tomato soup. The soup was very tasty, but the noodles were tasteless, little green and almost no shrimp to be found. That's a shame considering the price of 20 euros for it.

We chose a Sam Sin Menu with Babi pangang, Foe Young Hai and Tau Sie Kai. The food was ready to be picked up. The food was tasty and is what you would expect from your local Chinese. The nasi could be a little better in our opinion and the place has a very dated interior. Nice to have a local Chinese around the corner.

I have eaten and ordered from many Chinese restaurants, and I have rarely been served such a bad meal as at Lok Moon. As a starter I ordered the Sun La Toong soup, which is one of my all-time favorites. However, what Lok Moon delivered can only be appreciated if drinking soy sauce is your hobby. It seemed as if this "soup" consisted of 50% of it. In addition, the soup should be richly filled, which turned out not to be the case. Yes, there were a lot of mushrooms in it, but it wasn't much more than that. Any character, spiciness, distinctive flavor or possibly added but undetectable other ingredient was lost in the taste of soy. Lazy and uninspired. My main course was Tau Si Ngau. I was very disappointed by the toughness of the beef. Usually it should be tender and you can almost suck it in, but with this version you could feel how old the meat was. The other ingredients also did not taste or feel fresh in the mouth. I understand that not every ingredient can be fresh daily and it doesn't have to be. But you can taste that they are close to or just past their shelf life... yuck. The fried rice was absolutely scandalous. You can hardly mess that up, unless you prepared it way too long ago and quickly defrost and reheat it before ordering. Do you know that? A bowl of rice that no longer has any flavor and is watery because it just came out of the freezer? That's what you get from Lok Moon. I have never had anything so disgusting from a Chinese restaurant. No, it was all substandard and disappointing. You can just taste that these people don't like cooking and don't take their customers seriously. The watery tasteless rice was the ultimate example of this. If you have the choice between ordering from Lok Moon or a bag of chips that has been open for a week, choose the bag of chips. Not tasty either, but that disappointment costs a lot less.

Only tried once because Man Wah is closed for the Christmas holidays. Very unfriendly woman at the takeaway counter and the food is disgusting, everything is dripping with grease. This is not a Chinese but a cafeteria. Everything tastes like grease. You hear the fat simmering as you wait for your food

Every time I eat at Lok Moon it's like I'm dreaming. Such delicious food, not normal. Not expensive either. My recommendations: the spring roll of course and also the chicken in black bean sauce. Jummy! Sick tasty!

Had takeout twice, the 2nd time was to give it a 2nd chance. Rice and noodles are tasteless. Quality of meat and vegetables in the noodle were terrible. I hate to give bad reviews like this but hope it does improve as there's no many Asian restaurants around.

A real waste of money, all dishes had the same taste and it tasted very bad. Shame

1 persoonsvoordeelmaaltijden worden wel in hele onhandige piepschuimverpakkingen meegegeven waar de saus uitlekt

The dish had only meat and rice with the sauce. I was expecting some veggies or something else , a bit simple.

Eten was erg lekker en de bediening vriendelijk. Merkwaardig was wel dat op de menukaart stond dat de gerechten werden geserveerd met nasi of bami. Dan kun je dus kiezen. Toch moesten wij hiervoor extra betalen. En dat stond niet op de menukaart.

Eten gehaald. Thuis smaakte het eten prima. Zeker aan te raden! 👍😁

Telefonische besteld en op tijd opgehaald. Alles lag klaar en het eten was van goede kwaliteit. Volgende keer weer.

Erg lekker eten en altijd vriendelijke en gezellige bediening. Ik laat ook vaak bezorgen als ik geen zin heb om zelf te koken.

Een Chinees uit de jaren "70! Dat zij er nog steeds zijn zegt genoeg. Een vertrouwd en smakelijk afhaal adres!

Heb een tjaptjoi met kip besteld en vegetarische nasi en mijn man een mihoen met kipblokjes. Als je binnen komt in het restaurant, dan moet je eigenlijk al meteen willen wegrennen zo vergaan en slecht ziet het eruit. We konden een glimp van de keuken zien toen de klapdeuren open gingen en ook die was volgens mij erg smerig. Mijn nasi was zat vol met verbrande stukjes, dat ik in eerste instantie dacht dat het zwarte peper was en mijn kip smaakte raar. Het eten van mijn man was niks bijzonders en ook zonde van je geld. Sterker nog op het eind zat er een zwarte dikke haar in zijn eten en toen wij verhaal gingen halen bij het restaurant, zonder ons geld terug te eisen, werd er al meteen ontkend en naar mijn eigen haar verwezen, terwijl ik een totaal ander soort haar heb en mijn man kaal is. Ik adviseer u om dit restaurant te vermijden zelfs als je beren trek hebt, want nu isnde vraag nog maar, of we niet ziek zullen worden!!!

Is best goed,maar voor mij vond ik het niet zo lekker,dan wat ik gewend ben.

Zeer goede Chinees als je van meer traditionele smaak houd

Redelijk eten, kan echt veel beter. Smaak was ok, maar ik had er meer van verwacht. Wel grote porties.

Lekkere nasi speciaal veel beter dan normale nasi zeker aan te raden aardige klantenservice

Prima kwaliteit, maar niet helemaal naar onze smaak. Net iets ander gebruik van kruiden en ingrediënten dan we gewend zijn. Maar over smaak valt natuurlijk te twisten. :) We vinden persoonlijk Jin-Lai lekkerder.

Altijd verse ingrediënten, dat merk je en dat proef je. Met name de groentegerechten zijn daar een voorbeeld van. Fantastische Foe Yong Hai en ook de Koo Loo Yuk is een aanrader.

Totalmente sorprendido de la manera más positiva por Lok Moon esta noche. He ordenado solo pensar en la distancia desde mi casa, movido por el deseo de apreciar la cocina oriental. El menú tiene una idea innumerable de China, Indonesia, Tailandia. . . La sopa Thom Yom era deliciosa, tuve la Loempia más grande de mi vida y el pollo al limón hizo feliz a toda la familia. Pero lo que realmente me atrapó fue la cocción y la textura del arroz blanco simple. Pice es más que justo y las porciones son gigantescas. Iré y comprobaré el restaurante con seguridad. ¡Gracias!
