Wanted to eat with 3 people today Table. Taken outside After asking that we wanted to be served, we were told to do so inside. After we wanted to order inside, we were told that we couldn't eat or drink anything outside. After we saw a table outside with 10 people sitting at it, we were told, "Yes, but they ordered for over 200 euros." Then you aren't worth our 50 euros either You won't see me there again. Worthless service and waitstaff .. Staff shortage was the reason, but they serve others because they spend more?

Weird place. You sit there on the terrace for 15 minutes waiting for service, and they finally come out to say that the terrace isn't open because they don't have enough staff. Without even putting up a sign saying the terrace is closed. Bad service!

Cozy ambiance, however the onion soup was bland and had a strange smell and taste.

Nice place, beautifully decorated. Good food. Highly recommended, but come early. You cannot make reservations, and Sunday between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM is peak hour.

We had an incredibly delicious meal at Eetpodium Loods 81 on Friday evening. There is a choice of fish, vegetarian, and meat dishes, three- or four-course menus, and delicious desserts. The drinks menu consists of very good wines (both local and international), various local craft beers, etc. In terms of the quality of the dishes and products, this restaurant stands far above many other restaurants in the area that might be more focused on tourism. In addition to all the delicious food, we were also received very warmly. We will certainly return when we are in the south of the country again!

How often have we driven past here, not realizing what we were missing? The unassuming exterior of Loods 81 gives no hint of the restaurant concept that awaits inside. Behind the entrance door lies a rustic delicatessen section. You find yourself surrounded by countless delicacies and then take a seat at one of the large, long tables. The staff is very attentive, friendly, and efficient. The dishes are freshly prepared in their own open kitchen. They not only look incredibly appetizing but also live up to expectations. All in all, the price-performance ratio is excellent. We were extremely satisfied and will definitely be back. We'd love to bring friends, especially if they also have table service on the terraces.

Great restaurant with homemade food

In the beautiful hilly landscape of Limburg lies the hidden gem Loods 81 in Margraten. Upon arrival, the authentic facade already gives a hint of what is to come. After taking a seat in one of the greenhouses and being pleasantly warmed by the morning sun, we ordered the tapas platter at Loods 81. It was more than enough for two people and offered a delicious combination of different types of bread, spreads, and variations of fish, meat, and cheese. The atmosphere was pleasant, the food was delicious, and the price was very reasonable, resulting in a romantic lunch in the hilly landscape. When it was time to pay, we discovered that there was also an extensive takeaway bar. We will definitely be going here more often! Highly recommended!

A beautiful location. Cozy, atmospheric decor. It's practically always packed with customers. The food is a bit pricey, but delicious! There are three tea houses in the garden, where we ate. It's a nice concept, but it was cold. It's February, so that's the time of year, but there wasn't a fireplace (although there was one, I don't know if it worked), and the door wouldn't close properly, so everyone kept leaving it open, making it windy inside. All in all, I highly recommend stopping by for a bite to eat because the service is very friendly and the food is delicious 😊

Went here for the first time today. Upon entering, it already has a very cozy atmosphere, and they've put a lot of effort into the decor. The food was certainly on par with the atmosphere and decor; it was truly delicious. The staff was also friendly, even though it was incredibly busy. We'll definitely be back.

First time for me. What a lovely location, very cozy, and you can buy almost anything you want to eat. Highly recommended. It's a shame you can't make reservations; only large groups can.

The food was good, but the cheese we brought with us was moldy. After complaining, we received a replacement, which was also moldy and greenish-white. The saleswoman said it was normal and that they remove and repack it every day – yeah, great. That's a health hazard! It's not normal for a hard cheese to have greenish-white mold! So be careful.

Beautiful deli, friendly staff, all clearly detail oriented focused on presentation. Substance somewhat less impressive, the classic toastie was burnt, with cheese that didn’t have a good melt, quite poor and that at €8.50. Then came the total shock of seeing a mucky wet dog coming in and out of the kitchen area with the cooks preparing food not even batting an eye!! Surely this is a huge food hygiene violation not to mention allergy risk? I have never seen anything like it in my life! We left kind of scandalised by it. I love dogs and dog friendly places but it is just wrong to have them wandering through a restaurant kitchen looking for scraps. The complete lack of regard from the staff made us suspect it was theirs or a regular. Truly astonishing scenes. It’s a shame, because I wouldn’t soon come in for food nor recommend it due to this hygiene problem and I would’ve liked to, solely for the lovely ambiance.

What a treat every time! Pure, delicious products beautifully presented in a very cozy atmosphere. Large portions, excellent value for money. Attention to detail. A top-notch experience. Staff passionate about their work. Highly recommended! They also serve as caterers. The trio of mini wraps is delicious.

We only got takeout, but we'll definitely eat there again. What a lovely atmosphere. And what delicious products—fresh salads, fresh bread, etc.

With a group of about 25 people, including eighty- and ninety-year-olds, we were unfortunately placed in an orangery with very little space and freezing cold. The acoustics were so poor that you could only talk to the people sitting immediately next to you. The food was fine, but the surroundings unfortunately were not.

It's a shame you can't make reservations. We waited patiently and got a table. Then they asked if we wanted to make room for a party of four. There were only two of us. We were fine with that, but the seat we were given was really bad. They said you can have a nice look into the kitchen. Not a very nice spot. You were sitting next to each other, kind of pushed aside. Unfortunately, the lady who had asked us was nowhere to be found, so we stayed put. It was a bit of a shame. That place is really bad. Otherwise, the food was good.

Our favorite restaurant. We come every Sunday and love everything about it: the super friendly staff, the cozy atmosphere, and especially the wonderfully presented and delicious food. Vegetarian options are happily prepared for individual dishes.

We bought Togoodtogo, hoping to try something tasty. We received a salad with discolored vegetables, lots of onion, and even the stems of the vegetables were in it. The macaroni, too, had discolored raw vegetables. Unfortunately, it ended up in the trash.

We happened to cycle past it on our family vacation. The atmosphere outside is simply delightful. Once inside, you're almost enchanted by the Burgundian interior, where you'll feel almost like you're in a medieval tavern with a modern twist. Another plus was that, just like in Mediterranean countries, you're mingled with the company. For example, you're seated with others at a long table. We were served by friendly and helpful staff. And to continue with the praise, the food was sublime and the portions generous. For anyone in the area, vacationing in the region, or just wandering past! Highly recommended!

Great service at the counter, as for the restaurant, the menu is varied, the food was delicious.

The food was delicious, and the seating was atmospheric. We ordered lunch twice, but both weren't served at the same time. As a result, we had to eat our (hot) lunch separately, which was a shame.

We received many gift certificates from Loods81 and bought a lot of "fresh" produce. But unfortunately, it wasn't as fresh as we thought. We both got sick from meat in mustard sauce. An unopened container of head cheese had gone moldy in the refrigerator the next day. But we tried again after months. When we tried to take a container of lasagna home from the store, the saleswoman said she'd rather not sell it because it didn't look good. So we bought the above-mentioned products again with our certificates, but unfortunately, the quality or freshness simply wasn't good. There was no date on the head cheese either, so we don't know what the expiration date was. It's a real shame we lost our €100 gift certificate. The wine, on the other hand, was good. We still have some certificates left, but we won't be using them.

We‘ve rarely been treated as rudely and disrespectfully as we were by the woman at the counter. She seemed to assume we‘d just seat ourselves event though we just wanted to have something to take away - why, we‘re not sure. We were all a bit shocked, especially since that kind of attitude is really unusual for this region. We ended up just grabbing the carbonara pasta. It was okay as a quick snack, though a bit bland. The place itself is actually quite nice but we won‘t be coming back.

It's always a treat to be here. Whenever we're in South Limburg, we MUST stop by 😉. The food is fresh and delicious, the staff is very friendly, the setting is beautiful, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Our favorite. It's a shame they're also short-staffed. You'd want to work here!

Disappointment! It looked nice when we cycled past. But the lunch was disappointing. It's great that it's self-service (and you can clear your own dishes), but the food was truly subpar. Especially for the price. The 18-euro goat cheese salad was a bag of iceberg lettuce with brown edges. In between, there was a stray carrot, some red onion, and a slice of goat cheese. The bread was dry. The croquettes on bread were still cold. A nice view of the castle, but that doesn't make up for the poor food.

Very nice! Just a bit of a long wait

We asked for a place for two and were shown to a table for four. We sat down there and had been waiting for quite some time for them to come and take our order. However, when a staff member came, it was not to take our order, but to place two strangers at our table. We indicated that we did not want that and then left. We were told that this is how their concept works. We indicated that we had specifically asked for a place for two, but she kept the same answer. And those strangers were placed at our table. So we left reluctantly, because the menu and the many good reviews had really captivated us and we intended to enjoy it for a while. And to be honest, what I saw lying around and seeing passing by promised a lot of good. Unfortunately, we did not try the food.

Sometimes you come completely Unexpected in places that make a big impression. This was one of those moments. What a great place: delicious treats, great service, great ambiance. Coffee good . But when we ordered an Italian shelf and it arrived, it turned out that there was only 1 of the various things that had to be placed on it. Everything was good to eat, but we thought this was a minus. When I asked about it, the answer was I think the cook wants to go home. Too bad that answer would otherwise have been 5 stars and now 3. But other than that it was just fine

Delicious breakfast on Sunday morning. We had the standard breakfast which could easily be adapted for a vegetarian diet. Staff very nice and it is a very nice place. The terrace also seems lovely in the sun. Another tip: the website still contains a number of old opening hours. Like open on Sunday at 12:00 instead of 10:00.

Tijdens onze fietstocht door het heuvelland van Zuid Limburg hebben wij wat gegeten en gedronken in Loods 81 in Margraten. Het is een oude loods langs de Rijksweg, die verbouwd is tot restaurant en waar je tevens een heel scala aan lokale gerechten kunt kopen. Wij hebben heerlijk in het zonnetje gezeten en genoten van het eten en drinken en het vriendelijke personeel.

Very nice for breakfast and (a big) lunch. We have dined here a few times and the menu changes periodicaly. The food is always amazing! What is very nice is they also sell local/regional freshly made produce. The only reason this does not get 5 stars is because the consistency of service is erratic and they have no reservation for groups smaller than 10. It's always dificult to find a seat. It's 2025 and making a resaurant reservation should not have to be this complicated. They could implement a deposit system with the reservation for example

Atmospheric affair. Busy. Tasty food. Onion soup returned (strange taste and onions undercooked). Can happen and got an apology. Strangers may be seated at your table (few privacy). Took 45 minutes for lunch to arrive. Reception by owner was a bit unfriendly. We'll give it another chance.

Ich war hier ein paar Mal. Die Kulisse? Ein Postkartenmotiv. Das Angebot? Auf den ersten Blick ein Paradies für Feinschmecker: außergewöhnliche Käse, feine Pasteten, regionales Fleisch und allerhand Limburger Spezialitäten. Aber dann schlägt die Wahrheit gnadenlos zu – wie ein Schwarm Fliegen im Sommer, der sich gierig auf Ihr Essen stürzt. Ja, Fliegen gehören hier offenbar zum Konzept. Die Produkte? Nicht alles, was glänzt, ist frisch. Das Brot? Oft älter als ein Tag. Und ja, die Mitarbeiter lächeln freundlich – aber Freundlichkeit macht die sinkende Qualität leider nicht wett. Wenn Sie das Glück haben, einen Tisch zu ergattern, erwarten Sie bitte keine romantische Zweisamkeit. Die anderen Gäste sitzen so nah, dass man sich fast gegenseitig das Besteck reicht. Vielleicht ein neues Konzept für “soziales Essen”? Mitnehmen? Habe ich ausprobiert. Der Geschmack? Naja, sagen wir, er bleibt hinter den Erwartungen zurück. Und trotzdem: Der Laden brummt, Sommer wie Winter. Voll bis unters Dach. Offenbar reicht es, wenn die Kasse klingelt – für viele scheint das “gut genug” zu sein. Für mich? Nein, danke.

Nice restaurant, delicious food, good atmosphere

Als je een allergie of intolerantie hebt kan je deze plek beter vermijden. Ze gaven aan echt niet met iedereen rekening te kunnen houden, mede door het grote personeelsverloop in de keuken.

Via een tip ervoor gekozen om hier te lunchen. In een sfeervolle ambiance hebben wij genoten van een heerlijk broodje met een fantastische salade geserveerd. Ronduit geweldig! Alle producten zijn ook verkrijgbaar om daar te kopen en daarna er thuis nogmaals van te genieten! Ondanks de drukte zal het ons niet weerhouden om hier nog eens terug te komen. Wij zijn onze tipgever dankbaar!
