Beautiful deli, friendly staff, all clearly detail oriented focused on presentation. Substance somewhat less impressive, the classic toastie was burnt, with cheese that didn’t have a good melt, quite poor and that at €8.50. Then came the total shock of seeing a mucky wet dog coming in and out of the kitchen area with the cooks preparing food not even batting an eye!! Surely this is a huge food hygiene violation not to mention allergy risk? I have never seen anything like it in my life! We left kind of scandalised by it. I love dogs and dog friendly places but it is just wrong to have them wandering through a restaurant kitchen looking for scraps. The complete lack of regard from the staff made us suspect it was theirs or a regular. Truly astonishing scenes. It’s a shame, because I wouldn’t soon come in for food nor recommend it due to this hygiene problem and I would’ve liked to, solely for the lovely ambiance.

What a treat every time! Pure, delicious products beautifully presented in a very cozy atmosphere. Large portions, excellent value for money. Attention to detail. A top-notch experience. Staff passionate about their work. Highly recommended! They also serve as caterers. The trio of mini wraps is delicious.

We only got takeout, but we'll definitely eat there again. What a lovely atmosphere. And what delicious products—fresh salads, fresh bread, etc.

With a group of about 25 people, including eighty- and ninety-year-olds, we were unfortunately placed in an orangery with very little space and freezing cold. The acoustics were so poor that you could only talk to the people sitting immediately next to you. The food was fine, but the surroundings unfortunately were not.

It's a shame you can't make reservations. We waited patiently and got a table. Then they asked if we wanted to make room for a party of four. There were only two of us. We were fine with that, but the seat we were given was really bad. They said you can have a nice look into the kitchen. Not a very nice spot. You were sitting next to each other, kind of pushed aside. Unfortunately, the lady who had asked us was nowhere to be found, so we stayed put. It was a bit of a shame. That place is really bad. Otherwise, the food was good.

Our favorite restaurant. We come every Sunday and love everything about it: the super friendly staff, the cozy atmosphere, and especially the wonderfully presented and delicious food. Vegetarian options are happily prepared for individual dishes.

We bought Togoodtogo, hoping to try something tasty. We received a salad with discolored vegetables, lots of onion, and even the stems of the vegetables were in it. The macaroni, too, had discolored raw vegetables. Unfortunately, it ended up in the trash.

We happened to cycle past it on our family vacation. The atmosphere outside is simply delightful. Once inside, you're almost enchanted by the Burgundian interior, where you'll feel almost like you're in a medieval tavern with a modern twist. Another plus was that, just like in Mediterranean countries, you're mingled with the company. For example, you're seated with others at a long table. We were served by friendly and helpful staff. And to continue with the praise, the food was sublime and the portions generous. For anyone in the area, vacationing in the region, or just wandering past! Highly recommended!

Great service at the counter, as for the restaurant, the menu is varied, the food was delicious.

The food was delicious, and the seating was atmospheric. We ordered lunch twice, but both weren't served at the same time. As a result, we had to eat our (hot) lunch separately, which was a shame.

We went for lunch today and yesterday, and once again, everything lived up to our expectations! What a lovely place, what a great atmosphere, and what a selection! We not only had lunch there the past two days, but also picked up all sorts of fresh treats for the evening, instead of going out for dinner! We're quite surprised by the many negative reviews we've read; they're completely untrue in our experience! Highly recommended! If we're (reasonably) in the area, we're happy to make the detour; we love going here. We'd happily send our culinary friends there with confidence. A truly wonderful welcome on our first day back open, and it was packed right away! Perfect breakfast: highly recommended. Complete understanding of the large group of children. Delicious! Hats off!

We received many gift certificates from Loods81 and bought a lot of "fresh" produce. But unfortunately, it wasn't as fresh as we thought. We both got sick from meat in mustard sauce. An unopened container of head cheese had gone moldy in the refrigerator the next day. But we tried again after months. When we tried to take a container of lasagna home from the store, the saleswoman said she'd rather not sell it because it didn't look good. So we bought the above-mentioned products again with our certificates, but unfortunately, the quality or freshness simply wasn't good. There was no date on the head cheese either, so we don't know what the expiration date was. It's a real shame we lost our €100 gift certificate. The wine, on the other hand, was good. We still have some certificates left, but we won't be using them.

We‘ve rarely been treated as rudely and disrespectfully as we were by the woman at the counter. She seemed to assume we‘d just seat ourselves event though we just wanted to have something to take away - why, we‘re not sure. We were all a bit shocked, especially since that kind of attitude is really unusual for this region. We ended up just grabbing the carbonara pasta. It was okay as a quick snack, though a bit bland. The place itself is actually quite nice but we won‘t be coming back.

It's always a treat to be here. Whenever we're in South Limburg, we MUST stop by 😉. The food is fresh and delicious, the staff is very friendly, the setting is beautiful, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Our favorite. It's a shame they're also short-staffed. You'd want to work here!

Disappointment! It looked nice when we cycled past. But the lunch was disappointing. It's great that it's self-service (and you can clear your own dishes), but the food was truly subpar. Especially for the price. The 18-euro goat cheese salad was a bag of iceberg lettuce with brown edges. In between, there was a stray carrot, some red onion, and a slice of goat cheese. The bread was dry. The croquettes on bread were still cold. A nice view of the castle, but that doesn't make up for the poor food.

We asked for a place for two and were shown to a table for four. We sat down there and had been waiting for quite some time for them to come and take our order. However, when a staff member came, it was not to take our order, but to place two strangers at our table. We indicated that we did not want that and then left. We were told that this is how their concept works. We indicated that we had specifically asked for a place for two, but she kept the same answer. And those strangers were placed at our table. So we left reluctantly, because the menu and the many good reviews had really captivated us and we intended to enjoy it for a while. And to be honest, what I saw lying around and seeing passing by promised a lot of good. Unfortunately, we did not try the food.

Coffee good . But when we ordered an Italian shelf and it arrived, it turned out that there was only 1 of the various things that had to be placed on it. Everything was good to eat, but we thought this was a minus. When I asked about it, the answer was I think the cook wants to go home. Too bad that answer would otherwise have been 5 stars and now 3. But other than that it was just fine

Sometimes you come completely Unexpected in places that make a big impression. This was one of those moments. What a great place: delicious treats, great service, great ambiance. Delicious breakfast on Sunday morning. We had the standard breakfast which could easily be adapted for a vegetarian diet. Staff very nice and it is a very nice place. The terrace also seems lovely in the sun. Another tip: the website still contains a number of old opening hours. Like open on Sunday at 12:00 instead of 10:00.

Tijdens onze fietstocht door het heuvelland van Zuid Limburg hebben wij wat gegeten en gedronken in Loods 81 in Margraten. Het is een oude loods langs de Rijksweg, die verbouwd is tot restaurant en waar je tevens een heel scala aan lokale gerechten kunt kopen. Wij hebben heerlijk in het zonnetje gezeten en genoten van het eten en drinken en het vriendelijke personeel.

Top location for tasty snacks, perfect satay and friendly service! It was busy, logically, but we were able to go to the Orangerie, our own place!

Very nice for breakfast and (a big) lunch. We have dined here a few times and the menu changes periodicaly. The food is always amazing! What is very nice is they also sell local/regional freshly made produce. The only reason this does not get 5 stars is because the consistency of service is erratic and they have no reservation for groups smaller than 10. It's always dificult to find a seat. It's 2025 and making a resaurant reservation should not have to be this complicated. They could implement a deposit system with the reservation for example

Atmospheric affair. Busy. Tasty food. Onion soup returned (strange taste and onions undercooked). Can happen and got an apology. Strangers may be seated at your table (few privacy). Took 45 minutes for lunch to arrive. Reception by owner was a bit unfriendly. We'll give it another chance.

Aber dann schlägt die Wahrheit gnadenlos zu – wie ein Schwarm Fliegen im Sommer, der sich gierig auf Ihr Essen stürzt. Ja, Fliegen gehören hier offenbar zum Konzept. Die Produkte? Nicht alles, was glänzt, ist frisch. Das Brot? Oft älter als ein Tag. Und ja, die Mitarbeiter lächeln freundlich – aber Freundlichkeit macht die sinkende Qualität leider nicht wett. Nice restaurant, delicious food, good atmosphere

Als je een allergie of intolerantie hebt kan je deze plek beter vermijden. Ze gaven aan echt niet met iedereen rekening te kunnen houden, mede door het grote personeelsverloop in de keuken.

Via een tip ervoor gekozen om hier te lunchen. In een sfeervolle ambiance hebben wij genoten van een heerlijk broodje met een fantastische salade geserveerd. Ronduit geweldig! Alle producten zijn ook verkrijgbaar om daar te kopen en daarna er thuis nogmaals van te genieten! Ondanks de drukte zal het ons niet weerhouden om hier nog eens terug te komen. Wij zijn onze tipgever dankbaar!

Het eten bij loods 81 is goed. De vitrine met allerlei lekkers is zeer uitnodiging. Je kan niet reserveren, wat maakt dat je vaak naast elkaar moet zitten, aangeschoven aan een lange tafel. Dat praat niet echt fijn. De akoestiek is erg slecht, zo ook ook de afzuiging. Als je daarna nog een afspraak hebt, grote kans dat er een walm van etensluchten om je heen hangt. Jammer! Voor zo’n goedlopende zaak, mag hier echt wel in geïnvesteerd worden. Het is een zaak met lekker eten, maar dit is toch echt een groot min punt

Very tasty food, but the way the table is occupied is not really pleasant. Many people are placed together at tables who have no privacy to have a conversation, so everyone is placed so close together. In addition, putting people who are already eating in a different place so that you can accommodate 3 new customers surprises me. We waited almost 1.5 hours for an order. After what seemed to me to be various excuses, we finally received our ordered platter of cold dishes. This shouldn't have to take so long. But the food was very tasty and plentiful. But not immediately worth repeating.

Een van onze favoriete adresjes in Zuid Limburg, al hebben we nu een minder leuke ervaring. Na ruim 2 uur rijden vonden we een lekker plekje voor de lunch , terwijl we daar van zaten te genieten ,werd ons gevraagd om maar even op te schuiven om plaats te maken voor 6 druk pratende dames. Daar ging onze rustige lunch en zaten we samen aan de kop van een tafel. Nee we hoefden niet weg maar zijn toch maar zo snel mogelijk gegaan, de lol was er vanaf. Best een beetje teleurstellend!

We spent a wonderful afternoon on the terrace here. The food was excellent and the service very friendly and pleasant. Inside you don't know where to look and your mouth waters at all the beautifully presented food. We will definitely come back!

The satay 2 skewers, with bread was really delicious and more than enough, unfortunately I can't say the same about the pickled meat (a half filled bowl of sauce with 4 pieces of meat) with few fries, it was unfortunately not worth the money.

The Loods81 is my find of the week (August 30th + 31st, 2024) On the way to Maastricht we got hungry for breakfast and spontaneously stopped at Loods81 and it was so delicious that we had breakfast there again the next day. First of all, it's an unusual location - you can eat in small greenhouses, for example. In addition, the service is super friendly and much faster. Plus simply delicious food and drinks. Check it out for yourself in the pictures. When we go back to the region soon, we will pay Loods81 a visit again! Kind regards from Cologne to the team 🫶🏻

It's that I don't give 6 stars Ian for atmosphere and food, otherwise I would certainly have done so 😀👍 We passed by here by chance and walked in. No reservations for less than 10 people, so you can sit down at a table where there is room. So in addition to the food, you also have your neighbors to chat with. We had tea and an omelet, and wow... what taste sensations; The tea came with a kind of soft cup filled with peanut butter and it was heavenly. The omelette was just as good, richly filled on a few thick slices of bread with a crispy crust... yum. But the real surprise was at the checkout counter... there was a collection of goodies that would make any culinary heart skip a few beats. See the photos!! We will come back here more often 😁
