Had a delicious meal, good value for money. Polite service and a cozy atmosphere. We will definitely come back.

The food was delicious; I would prefer the Tiramisu to be a bit creamier and contain more alcohol, but that is a matter of personal taste. We dined at Los Argentinos with 9 people; a nice table was reserved for us. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good. Highly recommended for dining here in the canal cellars.

Friendly staff, they were really nice with our 2 year old. Great value for your money. Mix grill was great portions of each meat (2 types of beef, chicken and ribs), good steaks (we got a 400g), kids menu was even a great deal (grillen chicken, fries, appelsauce, and 2 giant scoops of ice cream. Nice malbec. Ok dessert. All in all with drinks and everything we were just under 150. We will definitely come again

We had a delicious meal! Good tender meat and tasty side dishes! The service was very friendly and pleasant. We sat outside, a lovely spot by the Utrecht canal, a beautiful atmosphere with the passing boats, swans, canoes, etc. We enjoyed it!

We had dinner here with 37.5 3 course meal. The carpaccio was good. However, I am giving 1 star as the steak was really not good. It’s chewing gum which is very disappointing.

First time at Los Argentinos in Utrecht. Truly incredibly delicious meat, exactly as it should be. Nothing tough or requiring long chewing. Some restaurants could learn a thing or two from this. Steak, in particular, is often impossible to cut through. And nice and friendly staff. In short, highly recommended.

Incredibly friendly staff who try their best to make the guests feel completely at ease. The food is superb. I returned for the 3rd time from the Eindhoven area and there will certainly be more visits to follow.

Service could be much better! It sometimes takes a long time and they regularly forget to pass on drink orders. Otherwise, it is a good restaurant and definitely recommended. However, I would go with a maximum of 4 people; with a larger group, you get a modified menu that isn't great for everyone, and you have a bit limited choice then.

We came here after a fun day out with the girlfriends. It is by the canal, so we didn't expect anything extraordinary. Which is fine. The food was tasty, not super special, but it was fine and the portion was large. The staff, on the other hand, were young and awkward. Two or four of them were standing in the doorway waiting. Sometimes on their phones on Snapchat or staring at the guests. It made us feel slightly uncomfortable. You don't have to be constantly busy, but don't just stand there doing nothing. It came across as rather clumsy. Also, having phones in their hands the whole time came across as unprofessional. Additionally, the main course took a very long time to arrive, and the side dishes came much later than the main course. A bit like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.

The weather was nice. Cheerful and good staff, and the food was delicious.

One of us, who was sitting by the waterside, pushed his chair back a little and subsequently fell into the water, chair and all. It turned out there was a drop directly behind the chair, making this very dangerous. We are lucky that he did not sustain serious injuries. What made it even worse was the staff's reaction. Not once was he asked if he was okay. Instead, we were told that "everything is always fine," while our belongings were lying in the water. When we reacted angrily to this, the owner even started laughing. We found that downright unprofessional, disrespectful, and rude. We felt completely disregarded. There was absolutely no question of customer friendliness or taking responsibility. Due to the dangerous situation and the way it was handled, a report has also been filed with the police. Fortunately, there are plenty of other hospitality establishments in the area where customers are taken seriously. We therefore absolutely do not recommend this place.

Terrible experience. All the time we have to call the waiters - to give us menus, to take the order, to bring forgotten drinks, cuttlery. All of this constantly. The waitress can be standing on the doorway looking at the tables outside while we have been sitting with the menus for 15 min. The waiter took our order for drinks, didn't write it down and kept serving other tables. After 10 min we asked him for the beers, and that's when he remembers it. As for the food, everything except steak is very small in portions. Tastes well but really not enough. The tiramisu is so buttery, we were unable to finish it.

The carpaccio wasn't that great; I've been here before and it was better then, but now it looked like wholesale carpaccio... tough. The tenderloin was also less than I'm used to, and I asked for medium/rare, but it was overcooked, very disappointing.

As an Argentinian, I didn't feel represented at all. They should clarify that it's some kind of fusion cuisine... less than a quarter of the menu consists of dishes eaten in Argentina. The empanadas are tiny, appetizer-sized, with a filling I've never seen before, like pasta... with peas! The chorizo ​​is a German sausage. The cuts of meat are fine. The dulce de leche pancake was a folded crepe with ice cream, cream, and dulce de leche all separate... and it was miniature. The wines are weak, and to top it off, the one we ordered wasn't available. The chimichurri... another strange paste that isn't chimichurri. And the music! All salsa, merengue, and bachata, which are nothing Argentinian! I brought people along so they could experience it, and it was a nice dinner, but it had nothing Argentinian about it... There wasn't a single Argentinian working there! They have room to improve everything! Otherwise, be honest and say grilled meat and other options.

I have since become a regular customer. I don't need the menu anymore.. The mixed grill is so incredibly delicious that I order it time and time again.. The staff is very friendly and we are regularly spoiled with a complimentary cup of coffee.

We had a nice dinner here with 12 people. The food was simply good. The only thing we had to criticize was the service. It was a busy evening and you could see they were really short-handed. They forgot an order a few times, so sometimes the wait was quite long. You could also see at the bar, full of dishes, that they were handling it well. Had lunch here today. The service clearly couldn't handle the King's Day crowds. The boy who served me did his best but was struggling. Ordered a spicy chicken sandwich for 12.95. It was spicy, but that was about all there was to say about it. The chicken was very dry, there was no sauce, and it was far too small for the price. Several groups complained about it, and I see a common theme emerging in the reviews due to the meager portions. Classy, ​​ripping off your guests like that. I read that it's a recommended spot in the neighborhood; I don't understand where that image comes from.

The four of us come to the Motor Show every year. And every time, we enjoy the delicious food. The staff is super friendly and they do everything they can to make it as pleasant as possible. We especially appreciate that despite the long queue (luckily we had made a reservation 🤪), there's no time limit. See you next year 🥰

Not for us again. The food wasn't great. The prawns were too burnt and slimy when opened, the carpaccio had an odd flavor, and all the meat was too dry, including the medium-rare tenderloin/loin steak. The spare ribs, while tasty, were too dry and fell off the bone. Some dishes come with fries, while others require a separate order. There are no vegetables or anything else on the side. The service is okay, but when you ask, they don't really listen. The atmosphere is very understated, and if everyone is sitting together, it's very noisy. We wouldn't recommend it, especially not for the price.

Unexpectedly, we were able to dine here on Valentine's Day. Even though the restaurant was fully booked, there was still a spot available at the bar. We really appreciated that. Our order was also taken quite quickly, which was nice considering the crowd. I ordered a Pornstar Martini. The flavor was good, but the glass was quite small, and I missed the piece of passion fruit that usually accompanies this drink. For our starters, we had carpaccio and nachos. The carpaccio was very tasty and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, the nachos were disappointing. The ground meat made everything a bit mushy and didn't taste particularly fresh, which was a shame. For our main course, we opted for a skewer and a mixed meat dish, served with corn on the cob, regular corn, and fries. I had the mixed meat dish and chose veal ribs instead of the regular spareribs. They were truly delicious. The chicken was well-seasoned and tender, and the steak was well-cooked and flavorful. We found one piece of meat a bit dry. The portions are large and more than enough, especially for the price. That's a real plus. The skewered meat was also very tasty. The corn on the cob was wonderfully creamy, and the fries were delicious. The regular corn on the cob wasn't anything special. Because it was Valentine's Day, it was very busy. We sat at the bar, so you get a good sense of what's happening behind the scenes. We noticed that colleagues weren't always speaking politely to each other. The bar was also full of dirty glasses. It seemed as if there were many new employees working, or that people were simply overwhelmed by the crowd. Despite these points, we would definitely eat here again, but would prefer to eat at a different spot in the restaurant than at the bar.

When we arrived, it took 20 minutes before anyone asked if we wanted a drink. We then had to wait an hour for our appetizer, and finally, the main course arrived at the same time as the appetizer. The food was tasty, but the plates were sparse. Only a few lettuce leaves next to the meat were considered "salad." All in all, not recommended.

The food was delicious, and the service itself was excellent. We sat up front, which was cozy, though a bit chilly. But that can vary from person to person. We had a wonderful evening.

On Friday, March 6, 2026, we went out in Utrecht and ended up at Los Argentinos with a group of eight. We ordered seven mixed grills and one spare rib. Everyone was very satisfied, and our bellies were full afterward. In short, highly recommended. My review is actually a 7x.

The meat is absolutely delicious, very good quality and perfectly cooked. The sides (like the tomato salad) could be improved with more variety or originality (like included kale, red peppers or other stuff)

Luckily, my husband liked the tenderloin, because I found the chicken fillet bland and plain for the price... €22 (see photo). Once, but never again! (3 stars for the tenderloin and 1 star for the chicken fillet)

We had delicious dishes and a wonderful meal. The quality of the meat is top-notch. The meat was tender, fresh, and melted in your mouth. The fish soup was deliciously fresh and full of chunks of fish, not a mixed seafood dish. The only downsides of this restaurant are the atmosphere and the staff. The service was okay, but no questions were asked in between... another drink, or is everything to your liking? It's a shame there's no music in the restaurant, otherwise it would definitely have received a high rating.

Not the first time and certainly not the last. Delicious dishes and a nice wine list. Located on the wharf along the Oude Gracht canal. Service is friendly and efficient. Inside, the noise level can be a bit of a drawback when it's busy.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate another anniversary of our relationship. The room manager at first couldn't find our name on the greasy and crumpled piece of paper. Later, we waited for a free table for 15 minutes, despite having made a reservation for 6 pm. So why make a reservation if your table isn't prepared for you? When it turned out that the table was finally ready, the room manager who leading us to the table start talked to the waitress while she was talking to the guests entering the restaurant. They got into an intense discussion, and we stood behind them in the aisle between the tables, feeling that we had been forgotten. After a few minutes of standing behind the manager and the waitress, (they ignored us), I got impatient and pointed out that we were waiting HERE for someone to show us a table. Completely unprofessional service that cannot cope with the number of guests in the room. We felt disrespected from the start. What kind of room manager, leading the guests to the table, completely ignores them and starts talking to the waitress and another group of guests who have just entered the restaurant? The whole process was unplesant and I have never experienced anything like this in any restaurant in the Netherlands. Seeing our nervous faces and general dissatisfaction, the room manager watched us from the corner of the room. The atmosphere was completely gone as soon as you walked in. We were wondering if we should just leave there before they handed us the menu. Even the food doesn't save you to cover up the unpleasant experience with the service. We won't be going back though due to the unprofessional service and the fact that making a reservation does nothing for you. We waited for a table as if we had just walked into any crowded street eatery on a Friday night. Not to a restaurant that says "Los Argentinos is a lively, friendly restaurant (...)" We didn't feel anything friendly there. Overcrowded room, atmosphere like in a canteen, not very cozy and quite noisy. Maybe consider accepting fewer guests and improve the quality of service. The tables are too tight that you can hardly walk without touching someone. I would give a one star review, but you get the second for the food.

Delicious food for a fair price.

Booking through the website was very easy, and thanks to the weather and availability, we were able to choose a lovely spot on the terrace on the spot. The food and wine were delicious, and the dessert was even surprisingly good! It sometimes took a while for a waiter to appear on the terrace to help us, but the service was consistently friendly and enthusiastic. No students throwing the food on the table and "good luck with it," but people who genuinely enjoyed their meal and made us feel more than welcome. All in all, no complaints about the service, despite the occasional short wait. If you're looking for an Argentinian restaurant on the canal, this one is a winner in our opinion!

Bad tasting chicken fillet seemed spoiled

I visited this Argentine restaurant yesterday and, honestly, the experience was underwhelming. First of all, when you arrive nobody greets you at the door. Even with a reservation, you have to approach the bar or a waiter to ask about your table. It makes you wonder what the point of booking in advance is. We were seated at what was probably the worst table in the whole place, right next to the entrance door that kept opening, letting in a constant stream of cold air. As for the food: the meat was good, cooked well, simple but nothing exceptional. The potatoes were average at best. The empanadas were clearly frozen, although they weren’t terrible. We ordered four dishes (two starters, a main, and another dish to share) and made it clear from the beginning that we would be sharing. Still, the waiter didn’t even bother to bring us extra plates, so we ended up eating from the same plate, which was not ideal. Prices are reasonable, but considering the location and the fact that just next door you have Los Gauchos, I expected more. Also, the only sauce available for the meat was chimichurri. If you offer a variety of cuts, having just one single sauce feels very limited. In short, decent meat but disappointing overall service and setup. Definitely not the kind of experience you expect when making a reservation.

Fast and friendly service with delicious food

Beautiful spot on the water and very friendly service. The food was a bit disappointing. We asked for medium rare, but the steaks were almost well done.

The food and service were good, and the dishes were truly delicious. However, we had to wait almost 50 minutes for our food, which felt a bit too long. We had a reservation for five on the terrace, but the table area wasn’t very tidy and the plates kept sliding, which made it uncomfortable to eat. Aside from that, the service and food quality left no complaints.

Be prepared to wait for a very long time, for relatively small portions. The food itself was of good quality, but did not make up for the time we had to wait while hungry.

Last Friday, I had delicious spare ribs at Los Argentinos. Delicious desserts. Great service. Definitely recommended.

Good atmosphere, great service

The prawns were dry and overcooked. We ordered the sirloin steak medium rare, but it was actually medium done. There were a few tough chunks in there that I couldn't eat. Not recommended.

Today we did pass the terrace of this establishment and it is one of the best in Utrecht when you want a view over the water. But if you order a drink, it takes hours, the sandwiches for lunch. Not to recommend, you can better go to Il Pizzo (other side) or an other one. I had a Italian Bol with Tuna. Still waiting for the Tuna fish to swim to me. And the terras is 15 tables, 4 people serving but they show no smile, no emotion. 20 minutes to get drinks served, 30 seconds to get bill served.

Average food with good service and good views. I had fish, others in our group had steak, spareribs and shrimps. The meat was a bit chewy, the fish was overcooked and dry. Luckily they are generous on sauces. Shrimp and spareribs were better. Servers were attentive and kind. And of course the view of the Oudegracht is always nice.

We had a three-course meal for €34.95. Four different flavors: empanadas as a starter, 200g steak. It tasted good, with a nice sauce and fries, and for the small bowl of mayo, you had to pay an extra €0.75. The homemade tiramisu for dessert was also delicious. The house red wine was good. I also missed a portion of vegetables on the plate. But that's modern in the Netherlands, while it's actually better for your health to eat a portion of vegetables. We waited an hour for service. Something had gone wrong in the kitchen. Perhaps a note had blown away? 🤪😮‍💨 and even the wine didn't arrive. So we were left dry for a long time. The wait for entertainment on the canal was manageable. The staff didn't seem to be paying attention to all the guests. Naturally, we didn't leave a tip, although we did enjoy our meal. A beautiful piece of meat that tasted delicious. Given the time, we skipped coffee.
