Lunch by Siebelink in Wijk 00 Binnensingelgebied

Whenever I'm in Enschede, I always pop into Siebelink for a delicious cup of coffee, often with a treat. It's one of the few coffee shops that also serves ristretto, and it's just as good as the best in Italy, which is rare in the Netherlands. The pastries are all delicious, and everything else is excellent.

The coffee was okay, but the owner was incredibly (!!!) rude. We sat there, each ordered a coffee, and colored in coloring pages. It wasn't crowded, and we didn't bother anyone. The owner came back an hour later and started yelling at us, saying it wasn't a creative space, that we'd already been sitting there for an hour and wouldn't order any more. She then kicked us out and scolded us in a super-aggressive way! We don't understand why, because we weren't loud, didn't take anyone's space, let alone damaged/dirty anything while painting... It was absolutely not a pleasant experience to be yelled at in such a humiliating way, especially since we hadn't done ANYTHING that could have been problematic.

Terrible service and terrible matcha latte. You'd better not drink it at this cafe.

This place is often empty, and now that I've been there once, I understand why. The atmosphere is uninviting and the staff is unfriendly, especially the woman behind the counter. And judging by the other reviews, I'm not the only one. Time for some reflection?

TOP place for a good cup of cappuccino👌🏼

Dropped by for a coffee and lunch. The place was pretty empty and there was no atmosphere, but it used to be really nice there, when it was still Doppio. Ordered flammkuchen pulled pork to share; burnt, completely cooled down, dry and inedible. This was also not a flammkuchen at all, it was a kind of tortilla with some dried out pulled pork and a few rocket leaves. And that for almost €11. We had it taken back after 1 bite because it was simply inedible. The staff went to consult with the owner about the bill. She didn't even come over to us for an apology or anything, she calmly sat outside and told the staff that it would just stay on the bill because the flammkuchen 'was supposed to be like that'. Ridiculous show, no atmosphere and the food is really bad. Too bad because the staff itself is friendly!

The ginger tea contained two tiny pieces of ginger, hardly ginger tea. The food was basic and not worth the price.

Unfortunately, the coffee cannot be recommended!

If you’re looking for the smallest “large” cappuccino in existence, look no further—Lunch by Siebelink has mastered the art of minimalism. My “large” cappuccino was so tiny I wondered if I had accidentally ordered an espresso with foam. Temperature? Let’s just say lukewarm would be a generous description. And for the privilege of this underwhelming experience, we paid over 10 euros for two equally tiny “large” drinks. At least the morning sun was free—though I wouldn’t be surprised if they start charging for that too.

The food is okay, but no more than that. You pay quite a bit for what you get. The chicken breast is just slices from the supermarket. We also found the cappuccino had a strange aftertaste. When I mentioned it, I was approached quite defensively. They asked if I hadn't just brushed my teeth. She had just had one, and it was fine. My tip: if you ask for and receive feedback, don't immediately blame the customers.

People, find something better in Enschede, this lunchroom isn't worth it. The owner is incredibly rude, just like when she used to work at Douwe Egberts Cafe. Back then, she had a manager who wanted to get rid of her from day one, and all her other colleagues wanted to shoot her. She humiliated people to the core, so avoid this lunchroom.

2x a BBQ Chicken Thigh sandwich, €8.55 each. The taste itself was okay, but you did find bones in it. You certainly don't expect that in chicken thigh. Also unsure whether this is chicken thigh, think just chicken fillet. If you find this, report it to the staff immediately!! The sandwich itself was a standard bake-off that you can get straight from the supermarket shelf at home for 98 cents per 4 pieces. It's a shame because I don't think there is any love for the product as a result. It's more about the quick turnaround. Stroopwafel Latte was okay, nothing wrong with it. The freshly squeezed orange could have been chilled for freshness. This was too hot. Modern decor and good seating areas. The high seats are not convenient for eating, the table is too high compared to the chairs. Staff are friendly and helpful. Decent for a lunch, but don't expect culinary delights. Price is a bit on the high side for what you get (quality and quantity), keep that in mind.

Normally I don't like reviews, but this lady (most likely the owner) is clearly on the verge of burnout. I wanted to go to the toilet with my 3-year-old boy without consumption, so as shown on the toilet door, it costs €1, but the lady still sent us away while there was another lady in line for the toilet. Her reason was that it was busy, I don't know what that has to do with the toilet. And it wasn't that busy, but because she didn't have things in order, she was running around like a headless chicken. I used to come here regularly, but not anymore.

Rude staff, old lady came out yelling because we sat down at their table for a few moments and didn’t intent to order. Keep out

Catastrophe with the alleged superfood à la the Flammkuchen menu! A base completely soaked with oil, cheese that's far too greasy, poorly topped, and a few lettuce leaves piled carelessly in the middle doesn't make the tarte flambée any healthier or tastier! Return inedible! Supposedly it was reported to the boss, but according to the waitress, her boss said it had to be that way! Arrogant and incompetent! Too many staff behind the counter and no one knows what to do properly and whether it is appropriate! Had to pay the entire bill!

The drinks are great, iced cappuccino was amazing. The food was so bad I only ate half of it.

The cheapest bake-off pistols you can think of, with a chunk of factory tuna salad and filet American that later gave us stomach aches. With two coffees and then pay almost € 25. Worthless and loveless; worst option in Enschede!

Not recommended for me. High prices for ordinary things that you also have at home. Not a nice staff either.

Cozy in the center, great pastries and excellent coffee/cappuccino!!

Food: worthless, had to wait a long time and then had to "try" to process the quality far below par. I stopped halfway through my Flammkuchen with pulled chicken, I couldn't eat it! And the brie sandwich could just as easily have been called arugula sandwich. Service: mediocre, one noticed that we didn't like it and didn't ask about anything at checkout, and the other couldn't be understood, open your mouth when you talk makes a difference. Atmosphere: what atmosphere?!

Delicious food, but the portions were small. We waited 45 minutes for 1 sandwich and 2 cold sandwiches when it was only half full. We waited from approximately 1:05 PM to 1:50 PM, so a little after rush hour. First the sandwiches came and after 5 minutes when they were already eaten I got my sandwich. There were also (although it is not prohibited) 3 people vaping and smoking on the terrace after their food was finished. In the city everyone is of course constantly walking around and fewer people are bothered by it compared to people who have a permanent spot on the terrace. It also started to rain and of course the umbrellas weren't that big either, so it was uncomfortable. €40 for 3 people (sandwich and one drink) was quite a lot for this experience in my opinion.

Regular lunch, with coffee and coconut cappucino. Two sandwiches, which we could have prepared better ourselves at home. Nothing special. And that for €26. I'm quite willing to pay a little more for an extensive lunch. But this amount for two simple pistols?!? No, once and never again

We drove 130km to Enschede to shop or go on a trip with the family. The children went to the toilet in the parking garage but unfortunately our 6 year old son urgently had to go to the toilet again in the middle of the center. As we were standing in front of Lunch by Siebelink, my husband went in with our son to ask if the little one was allowed to use the toilet there. Since we didn't consume anything there, he also offered to pay for it, but the owner refused and sent them both away. A little later we were shopping in the shop next to Lunch by Siebelink, our sons, 6 and 10 years old, were waiting outside because the older one had eaten a "bamischijf". Apparently the boys sat down on the terrace of xxx, whereupon the owner took the children spoke in Dutch. As we came out of the store we saw her standing next to the children with a cigarette in her hand and shouting things about how rude the children were because they didn't answer her (my children don't speak Dutch and generally don't speak Dutch with strangers), I ran over To find out what's going on, I could hear from the owner DIRECTLY. I haven't educated my children (!!!!) because they don't answer her and sit there with "strange" food. I was shocked by her exaggerated reaction to 2 children and insults! And that as an owner! whereupon it got loud and unpleasant things were said, which is just shameful, and then she even threatened to call the public order office. You don't have to let any children go to the toilet or sit on the terrace, but you can also say it normally and remain polite.

Very tasty and nicely decorated. The cappuccino (L) wasn't really large, but it had a lot of flavor and was delicious. I had a “Hazelino” tart and a tiramisu, both really delicious!

Extremely friendly welcome from the waitresses. Diverse food and drink menu. Very dog ​​friendly and accommodating.

Ordered a cappuccino and received an unsolicited coconut cappuccino (nasty). No apologies, just some laughs. Then I just had regular coffee, unfortunately it wasn't tasty either. We expected the chicken thigh fillet sandwich to be warm, but it came cold. Boring flavors. Flammkuchen with salmon, sour cream and arugula was also inedible. Salmon was warm and dry (so no smoked salmon, as is usually the case) and the crème fraiche was not present. Upon inquiry it turned out that this restaurant serves food before baking. Weird and dry. Very salty too. Why make it like that..? When we wanted to wash it down with a white wine, it turned out that they don't serve alcohol either Not recommended, really disappointing all in all.

Nice little coffee We were only there for a coffee/cappuccino. Delicious But the cakes in the display also looked very tasty. You can also get tarte flambée there. It's worth it for a little break in between.

Ended up here by chance for lunch and thought the place itself looked nice. Staff was friendly, but Pulled pork sandwich could have been a bit better for that price. Just wash a white bun with meat and a BBQ sauce. Then put a luxurious roll or something and a little less sauce.

First impression was good, but that good impression disappeared quite quickly. Taking the order took a very long time. Once we received our order, we were surprised at the size of the sandwiches. Very small and also cold. In our experience, a pulled pork sandwich, which we also ordered, was warm. But, maybe we are wrong. It was extremely cold and therefore tasted strange. I can recommend the drinks, including ginger tea. Prices are high for what is offered. The amount of staff present was striking. There was no structure in who was helping which table. Unfortunately, we don't come here often.

Worthless company manager gives big mouth

Nice restaurant. I walk in because my 5-year-old son had to go to the bathroom. costs were 50 cents. The toilet door had to remain open (for inspection?) and I was asked if I had also gone to the toilet because then I had to pay another 50 cents. strange sensation, I assisted my son in urinating, he is 5 years old. Very unhygienic as you can see into the toilet from the restaurant. When I offered to pay the extra 50 cents, the staff no longer asked me to do so

Super koffie en heel vriendelijk personeel! Mooie uitgebreide menukaart met verrassende opties (misschien handig als daar ook allergenen op worden vermeld?). Eten duurde wat lang voordat het werd geserveerd, maar we hadden geen haast. Aanrader voor fellow barista’s en koffie-liefhebbers.

Heerlijk gebak, prima koffie, vriendelijk personeel, top hoor!

I am American here to visit family, we sat down and were immediately greeted. That’s great except my family speaks German and I myself speak American. We asked to be given a moment to study the menu and only had one menu to share amongst three people. They come back not even a minute later and when we explained we needed time to share the menu we then proceeded to be ignored for a good 20-30 minutes, they were walking right past us to take others orders so we left. Extremely rude and uncalled for. It was pretty disappointing and on top of that I’m 7 months pregnant so I was very hungry and ready to eat.

Snel verdienen zo met de mocktails. Mojito? Zou net zo goed Sprite kunnen zijn. De Smoothie was waterig en de Pina Colada was kokosmelk met waterig ananassap. En daar gewoon €6,75 per glas voor vragen! Dit gemeld bij de overigens aardige bediening. Antwoord: men is nog aan het uitproberen…??? Voor ons niet meer.

Fijne plek waar je goede koffie kunt drinken. Je kunt zowel goed binnen als buiten zitten. Bediening is prima en netjes.

Leuke inrichting/sfeer, lekkere koffie

Ik heb er een club sandwich besteld voor 8 euro. Wat ik kreeg was 3 dikke plakken brood met wel heeeeel dunne plakjes kip.

Uitstekende koffie zelfs met amandelmelk en soyamelk en altijd bijzonder vriendelijk. Ook voor de hond wordt goed gezorgd. Zij krijgt altijd vers water en een lekker hondenkoekje.

Lekker lunchen en leuke tent. Supervriendelijke bediening.

Gewoon goed vers broodje met lekkere huisgemaakte tonijnsalade.

Heerlijke producten, echt lekkere koffie en varianten, fantastisch. Mooi nette zaak, goed verzorgd, rust en reinheid, erg prettig. Alleen jammer dat je op basis van wat je draagt beoordeeld wordt. Niet kan genoeg? Dan krijgt je ook minder aandacht. Het neigt bijna naar discriminatie. Het personeel doet echt wel zijn best om die houding te verbloemen, maar het lukt niet 😭

Hele leuke zaak. Super koffie en heel goed personeel. Ik kom er bijna elke week.

Lunch was matig.. koffie was daarin tegen erg lekker. Jammer dat de mensen die daar werken niet vrolijk zijn.

The best coffee and best greek yoghurt with nuts. And their sports breakfast is what I love! And with the spring coming the terrace is a fantastic spot!

Prima spot voor koffie met heerlijk gebak, ruime keuze in vitrine . Binnen en buiten terras met heaters . Vriendelijke en vlotte bediening .

Echt Schade Doppio war soviel besser! Egal ob Sandwich oder Kaffee oder Kuchen es lohnt sich nicht mehr dort einzukehren!

Heerlijke koffie, choco's en dat soort zaken! Wij komen zeker terug!

Voor de lunch niet echt een aanrader. Kleine selectie broodjes met weinig fantasie. Tosti’s zijn karig met normaal tostibrood. Siebelink zou er goed aan doen eens bij de concurrentie op onderzoek te gaan. Een kleine kaart is geen probleem, maar de afgelopen 10 jaar is de lunchkaart overal toch erg veranderd. We zullen zeker nog eens terugkomen voor de koffie en het gebak, want dat zag er fantastisch uit.

Really tasty desserts! The coffee is super good too (both the cafe latte we had and the iced coffee). Always wanted to try cannolis and I’m glad I found this place. The chocolate cannolis are delicious and the brownie has a caramel drizzle and walnuts sprinkled on top, which I really liked. If you love coffee, you’ll love this place.

Tolles Cafe mit sehr tollen Kaffeeideen. Latte mit Sahne, Karamellsauce und Waffelstücke...sehr zu empfehlen... natürlich serviert mit der niederländischen Freundlichkeit und einem Keks dazu.

De ijskoffie die je hieronder in de foto ziet is bij verre de beste ijskoffie van Enschede. En ik heb bijna alle ijskoffies gehad in de binnenstad. Verder heeft Siebelink de beste service !

Wij hebben een cappuccino, ijskoffie (cookie monster), yoghurt ontbijtje en broodje gezond genomen. De koffie was erg lekker, vooral de ijskoffie! Ontbijtje was ook erg mooi gemaakt en smaakte helemaal goed. Ik vond de cappuccino wat pittig smaken en kon de smaak niet plaatsen. Ik vroeg dus aan de barista waar die smaak vandaan kwam. Zonder problemen hebben ze een nieuwe cappuccino voor me gemaakt en ook meteen uitgelegd dat deze bonen behoorlijk pittig zijn. Heel erg vriendelijk dus 😊 de prijzen zijn ook meer dan redelijk, dus wij komen hier zeker terug!

Goede locatie voor een goede kop koffie terras in Enschede.

De specials (latte’s) zijn erg goed, beloofd heel wat dus, maar de broodjes vallen enorm tegen. Amper beleg op de broodjes met wat rucola ernaast. (Rucola is een kruid geen sla). Tosti was ook geen aanrader, kaas niet goed gesmolten. Voor wat je krijgt best aan de prijs.

Op zich oké. Alleen om 6.10 te vragen voor een heel klein ieniemienie broodje tonijn is jammer. Dit moet beter. Meer aandacht voor de aankleding en presentatie maakt veel goed. Nu beetje tonijn rucola en n klein plakje tomaat is erg onder de maat. Zeker voor 6.10 euro. Nu een absolute misser.

De lekkerste koffie en daarnaast lekkere broodjes. Ik kom hier graag, altijd erg gezellig. Personeel is vriendelijk en altijd in voor een gezellig praatje.
