We really enjoyed the food and highly recommend it. Unfortunately, we don't live nearby, otherwise we would definitely come here more often.

Wide choice, delicious food and very friendly service.

Great spot for drinks, lunch, or dinner. Don't expect fancy work, but a well-prepared plate of food prepared to perfection. Friendly staff!

We received a warm welcome from the enthusiastic and professional host. We were allowed to choose our own table, and the interior looked cozy. We had a social deal for 4 courses! Excellent value for money.

Had lunch here...can't say anything but bad...croquettes from the air fryer, I think...lukewarm...soup lukewarm...healthy sandwich with a generous dollop of mayo...made a comment about it...and the solution offered was a cup of coffee on the house. Not worth repeating as far as we're concerned.

We've been here for dinner or coffee a few times recently. Pretty good. But… recently AND today we had to leave because "another group was scheduled." Today we were seated on the terrace at 2:35 PM. At 2:45 PM, the waitress told us a group was arriving (between 2:45 PM and 3:00 PM) and that they weren't taking any more orders. "Don't keep us waiting, or put up a sign!" The website says they're open now, but you can't sit there. We left for another terrace. We won't be making a third attempt. It was our last time here. It happens once, but after a second visit, you'll lose us.

Great place for a bite to eat or a drink. It's a quiet place to sit on the edge of the shopping area. We immediately noticed how clean the patio floor was. It was covered in food scraps and other debris in many places. The toilet door, which had a small doorway designed for children, was amusing. Everything inside was also neat and tidy. Dogs are welcome inside. A bowl of water was provided. Friendly service.

If you book a table through Google, it is confirmed immediately and you arrive at the door at the agreed time. It turns out they are on holiday. I think that can be done differently.

Great experience for our family of six! The server was very attentive to the kids and the kids meals were huge! Absolutely fantastic experience.

I just ordered 2 beers and a snack board at 12.40. The waiter says, sorry, the kitchen doesn't have time to make a snack board... how? It's Saturday and the terrace is beautiful again

We regularly have lunch at dear Sophie's. The food is good, the atmosphere is great and the personal attention is excellent.

Nice and quiet and you can eat and drink well and you will be treated nicely and the staff will be friendly and helpful

Worthless. The chefburger is a small pressed hamburger on a large bun with little decoration. The pulled pork was a cold, mini portion, half burnt with little addition. The portions are way too small and way too expensive. The children's menu of fries with chicken nuggets was a mockery, it seemed as if 1 nugget was divided by 4 and that was it. The croquettes tasteless. In short, very cheap ingredients, without taste or presentation. Certainly not prepared by a chef but rather by a weekend helper. The only positive was the service, who really did their best. This was our 3rd but last time here, what a travesty. Way too expensive for no quality and way too small portions.

We had dinner at dear Sophie's on April 12, they had a new menu. We had the dish with the orzo. Portion was very small for an amount of €24:95. We only received cutlery when the food had already been on the table for 5 minutes. There was little attention from the customers. While there were only 4 tables occupied. We didn't recommend it!

Ordered satay dish. Very large, fairly disproportionate plate with 2 mini satay skewers plus a mini bowl of salad. Also a bowl of fries. It was really too minimal for the quantity. I also ate here three years ago and it was much better then. Shame. Service was friendly and the location was excellent.

Had a drink yesterday with a group of 20 people. Drinks board was richly filled. What was particularly good was the service! Attentive, professional and smooth service! Recommended!

We ended up at Lieve Sophie through a Wonderbox that we had received as a gift. We received a very friendly welcome, wide choice from the menu. The food was very tasty and my girlfriend's pregnancy was taken into account in every possible way. We will definitely come back here again!

Last week we had a delicious meal here at family restaurant Lieve Sophie. We have been coming here for a number of years. In the summer we can relax on the terrace with our dog! He can even come inside because he is well raised!! Nobody bothers; is usually sleeping. Can some people with children follow this example.......... Hope to see you soon!

Had lunch here with a friend I didn't know it yet even though I've passed by it often. No hard feelings, but the first thing I noticed was that there were a lot of older people... The restaurant is quietly decorated. The waiter sometimes took too long to arrive, but was very friendly The food is super tasty, there's nothing to say about that! All in all fine for once.

We had a funeral in Nijmegen at 5 p.m., so we decided to have a late lunch beforehand. Dear Sophie was the best on our route. We all had a Latte Macchiato and a Club Sandwich. Everything was very tasty and the Club Sandwich was quite a lot. Staff very friendly. Definitely recommended to go for lunch. Unfortunately forgot to take pictures.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff! I just expected a (small) salad with the 3 course dinner.

The food was really delicious, and beautifully presented, the 3-course menu is also very affordable.

Review Restaurant We recently had dinner here with the family and we all chose the cod. Unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The piece of cod served was shockingly small — about 3x5 cm — which looked more like a starter than a full-fledged main course. For €24.95 we clearly expected more. The dish also consisted of a watery puree and a sauce, but everything was too bland and tasteless. The puree barely had any structure, and the entire dish was gone in no time. The fact that there was an apprentice chef in the kitchen and the owner was not present may explain the poor quality of the food. When we reported our dissatisfaction to one of the servers, one cod was removed from the bill, which we appreciated. However, we decided to eat dessert somewhere else, because we simply no longer had confidence in the rest of the menu. All in all a very disappointing experience for the price.

Delicious high tea! Nice and smooth, good snacks and sandwiches and sweet treats! Nothing was lacking.

Unfortunately. Just grabbing a bite to eat turned out to be a bad start to the weekend. Boneless ribs 25 euros.... normal price so I was interested in that. The few pieces that were on the plate with a bowl of fries. That was not worth the money in any sense. Service is okay, but in front of us they ordered the loaded Fries but the staff did not know what it was loaded with. Yes, some cheese on top or something. A snack board was no longer possible, was it finished? At half past seven in the baking sun? My girlfriend had the pork tenderloin skewer with satay sauce. The satay sauce did not taste like satay sauce but like something of which neither of us could discover the origin. The coleslaw on my plate was swimming in mayo... in retrospect I would have preferred fries with a snack from the cafeteria because that would have been better and the price-quality ratio would have been better than in this restaurant. This was a mockery for us. I won't be coming back here again. I hope others will have a better time here.

Very tasty black Angus and fish and chips eaten on the terrace. Quiet friendly place.

Fantastic food with unique taste combination s you rarely see. We had the black angus and the Balinese pork and both were amazing. The service was nice enough but nothing extraordinary and the atmosphere was also nice but with too many people smoking outside next to our table.

What lovely staff there was on Saturday afternoon. The young man and young lady were service-oriented and very friendly. I happened to be there the first time, but I will have a glass of wine here again if I am in Wijchen again.

Was here tonight with my girlfriend. First time for me, my girlfriend had been here before. Friendly staff, willing to take and implement tips. The food I ordered tasted excellent. Later a few more people joined us. Had a nice evening, enjoyed the drinks. We will definitely come back here.

Nice terrace. Unfortunately, after the drinks and lunch were taken, we were no longer taken care of. The drinks still arrived, but when we asked about lunch after 45 minutes, they turned out not to have been served and the wait staff had not noticed that we had empty glasses and still no food. Where people work, mistakes are made, but here the waiter came back sheepishly to report that he had not served our lunch without further suggestion. After 45 minutes with a hungry toddler there was no prospect of any food and we left hungry. Too bad the service is so clumsy, 2 stars for the effort. 5 stars for the nice terrace with the sit & heat cushions. No stars for the food because unfortunately it did not reach our table.

We booked a high tea de luxe at Lieve Sophie. What enthusiastic service. Everyone does everything they can to make you happy. Even a water bowl for the dog had been thought of. Will definitely come back again.

Friendly welcome, then the staff paid more attention to each other at the bar than to the customers at the table. A number of orders were taken but not delivered to the table, yet you still have to pay for them. Meat was raw and red inside. There was a "skin" on the sauce as if it had been kept warm all day. Rice was also undercooked and to think that our glasses were empty more often than those of the staff. It's a shame because I liked coming here. Perhaps due to the absence of the owner who ensures everything runs smoothly, but I doubt whether I will come back.

We had a wonderful experience with fabulous food and friendly service. It was difficult as there wasn’t an English menu but we were able to order still and we were happy with all the dishes

We were kindly received by the owner. First of all, there is a very soothing atmosphere in the restaurant due to the music and warm lighting. In addition, the soups were delicious (tomato soup and oriental chicken soup) and so were our sandwiches (brie and carpaccio). We komen er regelmatig en de bediening is vriendelijk en behulpzaam maar niet opdringerig als je bordje leeg is. De menu's zijn goed in verhouding tot de prijs.

Lekker 3 gangen verassingsmenu gegeten. Dessert vonden we wat minder. Vriendelijke bediening en knusse atmosfeer.

Leuk eetcafe. Vriendelijk personeel en gezellige sfeer. Lekker gegeten! Aanrader..zomaar in Wijchen. Makkelijk parkeren

2de keer gegeten met een groep van 8 personen. Bediening doet goed er best, sfeer is er prima. Helaas viel deze keer het eten tegen, sommige gerechten waren prima. Andere waren smaakloos, en de bij geserveerde groenten erg zout.

Echt heerlijk gegeten en vriendelijk personeel. Geen grote porties maar na een 4 gangenmenu zeker voldoende gegeten. Goede stoelen waar je lekker op kunt zitten. Een aanrader dus. 👍

Verrassend leuk, klein tentje met zeer vriendelijk, servicegericht personeel. Een groep van 10 met zeer uiteenlopende dieetwensen bleek geen enkele uitdaging voor de keuken; zeer prima hapjes en petje af voor de champignonsoep zonder bouillon! Helaas vergeten naar het recept te vragen ;-)

Gezellige sfeer, heerlijke hapjes bij de high tea. En zeer aardige mensen.

Zojuist bij Lieve Sophie gegeten een klein maar sfeervol en gezellig restaurant. Goede verlichting niet te fel, muziek stond goed afgesteld.Personeel is erg vriendelijk en beleeft. Eten was voortreffelijk. Echt anders dan de meeste restaurants, nu ook gerechten met een herfst twist. Echt een aanrader.

Eten stelt niet veel voor. Ik had een stukje vlees met groente, en aardappel met doperwten deze was zou verschrikkelijk zout, en dan is dit nog zacht gezegd. Niemand aan tafel wou dit opeten. Uiteindelijk zat ik niet vol, jammer maar dit was echt zonde van het geld. Heb tevens aangegeven aan de bediening dat dit gewoon veel veel te zout was. De rest was prima maar drukte wel een stempel op de avond.

Heerlijke high tea! Lekkere soep, broodjes en zoetigheden. Erg lekker allemaal!

Gezellig gezeten. leuke bediening, goede gerechten voor een dito prijs. Qua sfeerbeleving zou er wat extra's aan snuisterijen mogen hangen. Maar dat is persoonlijk. Leuke eigen wc deur voor de kleintjes.

Zo'n heerlijke salade geheten en een hele correcte lieve bediende !

Afgelopen zaterdagavond met 5 personen hier heerlijk gegeten. Prima uitleg bij de menukaart. Uiterst vriendelijk personeel dat uitstraalt plezier in hun werk te hebben [Nikki je bent een TOPPERTJE!] Prijs/kwaliteit is in orde. Een rustig terras zonder hinderlijk lawaai. Zeker een aanrader!
