A real pain in the ass! We ordered two hot chocolate milks with whipped cream, apple strudel, and a sausage roll. We first received lukewarm chocolate milk, then seven minutes later the apple strudel, and the sausage roll didn't arrive at all because they'd forgotten it. We told them how awful we found it, and then they responded with a weak excuse: "It's busy," which wasn't so bad. When we went to pay, he even had the nerve to ask if everything was to our liking! What arrogant service! And also, dirty old toilets that you have to climb up a slippery, steep, old staircase...

Had a delicious coffee on Sunday afternoon. Because we were also craving pastries, we were told, upon inquiring, that they did have apple pie, but it was a few days old, "not as fresh as we'd like." Uh, that's not exactly inviting on a Sunday afternoon, is it? No, thanks. Otherwise, it's a cozy and pleasant atmosphere.

Great spot in the heart of Zwolle. Delicious food, no fuss, just good. The meat was delicious, and the terrace is a lovely spot to sit, right in the middle of the busy shopping street. The service was also friendly. Definitely recommended for a relaxing lunch.

Yesterday, we ordered drinks for four from the dark-haired waitress on your terrace. After about five minutes, a blonde colleague of hers came to ask if we wanted to order something, but we told her we'd already done so. Meanwhile, we saw her dark-haired colleague mainly chatting with guests under the awning, looking our way, but making no move. After about 15 minutes, we went to a colleague of yours where we quickly got our drinks. Hospitality at its finest. A dampener on a lovely day in Zwolle.

A nice atmosphere, reminiscent of an old pub in terms of colors. Nice and right in the center, ideal for a quick stop between shopping. Great service, we were barely seated when we were helped immediately. Fast and friendly service. Food was fine, it's a shame that the bread looks a bit like the cheapest bread from the supermarket. My daughter had fries with frikandel and got a decent portion. Both enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate to warm up a bit.

De uitsmijter Blocks krijg je gepresenteerd, gesmeten op 3 slappe witte boterhammen. Ham, kaas (niet meegesmolten) en spek door elkaar met een paar blaadjes sla. De gehaktbal met wel heel veel broodkruim erdoor, kwam met een paar slappe boterhammen en een vies bakje mosterd. Ook de karnemelk was van een zeer matige kwaliteit. Voor ons gevoel het goedkoopste supermarkt brood en dito karnemelk. De prijs die we moesten betalen was wel van het hoogste niveau. Verder zijn de toiletvoorzieningen ronduit schandalig. Van de damestoiletten was van eentje de pot vol en vies, de andere liep steeds door waardoor er geen water in de stortbak zat en je dus niet kon doortrekken. De sicilonenrand van de wasbak was smerig en vol schimmel. Ook de kraan was niet in orde. Mijn advies "je kunt beter een andere lunchgelegenheid zoeken".

We were shopping in Zwolle with our 2 kids and we were looking for a nice place with an affordable menu and something kids also like. We found the choice wide and the price-quality good. The service was short and functional, we did not get a hospitable feeling. Coffee was tasty and the food looked good and fresh. It tasted good too. Service no longer came by for more drinks or to ask if it was to your liking. Toilet was okay, it wasn't great and after paying 53 euros the nice day wish was forgotten. Food top, price good, hospitable and service less so. If you find this review useful, please let me know.

Ended up here by chance. What a nice, homely and friendly atmosphere. We can use such an establishment in more places in the catering industry. The predicate purveyor to the court is appropriate here. You feel like a king here.

Had a drink here and ate nachos (without the bacon). I didn't like the nachos again, because I didn't like the cheese sauce on top. I think real melted cheese is much better. My party asked for an ashtray several times and ultimately did not receive one. I didn't find the atmosphere very cozy either, a bit basic. When you sit on the terrace, you are actually just in the middle of a shopping street without a nice view, which felt quite strange to me. Wouldn't go back here anytime soon.

This was on Wednesday, July 19, during one of the Blauwvinger days. Had a delicious spicy chicken sandwich for lunch with fun entertainment. Blocks has traditionally been known, among the "real" Zwolle residents, as a good lunchroom.

Beautiful location. Tasty food and good portions of food on the menu. Warsteiner on tap. But the employees are the real plus.

We didn't eat anything, but we did drink a delicious fresh mint tea and cappuccino. The waitress was friendly and smooth.

Looks nice from the outside BUT NOT RECOMMENDED! Old bread. Not set for gluten-free. And stubborn staff who immediately jump into defense. Not the most expensive in terms of prices, but great value for money. So if there are alternatives in Zwolle, pass by this place

Had a drink on this terrace, a great spot in the sun. The woman serving was very unfriendly. We didn't know what we had done wrong, but she was very blunt and curt. Afterwards we wanted to pay and walked inside, where we met her with a full tray and we moved aside for her. We couldn't even ask if we could pay, because the lady already snapped 'come in, table 38' without looking at us or anything. Then we wanted to leave after paying and it turned out that one of us had left her phone behind, and she had found it. Very nice of course, but it's a shame that she drew our attention to this in a very mean way. Screaming on a crowded terrace: "Have you forgotten something haha?" She laughed out loud and tried to embarrass us on a crowded terrace. Very unfortunate, but we will never come here again. The woman we paid with was very nice.

Wij kwamen rond 3 uur binnen. Een tafel die achter ons zat werd eerst geholpen en daarna konden wij drinken bestellen. Meneer leek vlot in de omgang maar dat veranderde snel naar ons, meneer kon goed met de tafel achter ons praten maar service aan ons leveren ho maar. Meneer liep elke keer langs ons (zag duidelijk dat wij weer wouden bestellen maar koos ervoor om ons te negeren) Na drie kwartier wachten besloot ik om een serveerster aan te houden, heb haar gevraagd of ze ons kon helpen waarop het antwoord was "Ik kom zo bij jullie" Na een kwartier was ze er nog niet en was bij mij de maat vol Ik liep naar de bar om af te rekenen waar Meneer al lachend vroeg "u wilt afrekenen zeker" Geërgerd zei ik ja... Drukte kunnen wij begrijpen maar dit was gewoon negeren. Plus de bediening was meer bezig met praten dan mensen helpen. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Gewoon slecht! Hadden een huisgemaakte gehaktbal besteld, echter was de gehakt ver te zoeken. Het was meer een meelbal met te veel rode pepers. Erg smakeloos en hebben het ook laten staan. Aangegeven dat het echt niet te eten was, hier werd niets mee gedaan.

08/17/2021 I used to like to come here for lunch. Since today I never go there again. First of all, we looked for a lovely spot on the terrace. After this we had to wait half an hour before we were finally helped. If the terrace was full I would have understood. But unfortunately there are not yet a handful of people on the terrace. Finally it was our turn to have a very grumpy and demotivated waitress. Our drinks were taken. After this, another waitress just came and took the lunch menu from the table and gave it to another table. Okay, pretty special. Our drinks were brought and we were asked if we wanted something to eat. I indicated that this would be easier with a map. After this the waitress rolled her eyes and took out a card. Placed order and just wait. I got my carpaccio sandwich which unfortunately had everything wrong with it. The carpaccio looked gray. It was indicated that this was fine to eat, the truffle mayonnaise was normal mayonnaise and the Italy roll seemed a day old so tough. After years of enjoying it here, I will never come back after today.

I wanted an apple slice with my cappuccino, but the waiter said the kitchen was closed. A little later a hot meal was served at a table further away... nice job with a closed kitchen.....

Yesterday Lunchroom Blocks organized our birthday party. In one word...super. The food was delicious and it was nicely arranged for a guest with various allergies. But we also like to come here for lunch or a nice drink. Team Blocks...respect. 👍

Son had a nice meal, I didn't like my bouncer. The egg had gone too hard, the ham was ice cold. The tomato wedge had black pieces. Normally I'm quite satisfied with an average dish, it doesn't have to be perfect. Unfortunately, I found there were too many errors in this. The establishment is attractively decorated, the service varies. On the one hand, the lady knew about the food, on the other hand, she was very rushed and busy with other people while she was still standing at your table. All in all, we had a reasonable lunch, but I wouldn't repeat it.

Unfortunately the menu was very unclear, we expected a luxury hamburger for 8.95 but it was a soft bun with a lot of ketchup, mayo and onions. This wasn't there, and since I can't stand onions and don't like ketchup, it's a shame. The burger itself was nice and mildly seasoned. Unfortunately, the salmon sandwich was not fresh, but it was tasty. So continue your food question, Radler beer that Liefmans supports is just Amstel (fortunately) orange juice was tasty. The pancake was a misunderstanding and we got a double pancake with cheese and ham back. Good against food waste, less tasty...

The food was great again. And cosy. Recommended.
