We went there today and really liked it! Food was delicious!

Everything was good until I paid. I have an international card, I pay in euro and my bank handles the conversion at an acceptable rhat I'm aware of. . He quickly pressed keys on the device to charge me me in usd which adds a large mark up for his bank to convert it. I couldn't even see or decide what percentage it was. That alone ruined it all for me so beware. I felt scammed.

A friendly and cosy place, but I had a very bad capucino and the ommelete had some weird taste. I will not go there again.

Was here with my friend for breakfast. A cute cafe with nice cozy vibes and good food. The food is prepared fresh and tasty. The owners are friendly. Also has options to work from the cafe. 😊 Will visit again when in Amsterdam.

I first found this gem in 2022 and absolutely loved it. Came back 3 years later because it was so good. Love the food, the atmosphere, and of course the dynamic duo that brings the magic. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quaint spot with amazing food/coffee!

Excellent service and delicious dishes. By far the best espresso in the entire metropolitan area. We stopped for breakfast and enjoyed French toast and local cakes. Super recommended.

Gate keeps this place! What a nice lunchroom for brunch. The French toast was delicious, you get good portions and the staff is nice. Enough vegetarian, coffee is fine and enough seating. We'd love to come there!

A true pearl! I have been coming here for many years and am a fan of their French toast (the best in Amsterdam) but everything is delicious. I used to come there alone, but now that I have a daughter I often go there together. The 2 owners really love the business, you can see it, taste it and notice it. They know their regular customers and the nice homely atmosphere and fair prices they charge, something that is rarely found in Amsterdam these days.

We were pleasantly surprised by the place, the food both in terms of quality and quantity, the atmosphere is very pleasant and welcoming. Without a doubt it is a place to have breakfast

Dutch cuisine, ideal for breakfast/lunch/brunch. Cozy atmosphere, humble setting, and lovely staff. Very tasty dishes filled of cheese. Huge portions that can feed you for hours during those cold days out in the city. This place is a staple of the area, and I recommend it.

Really a awesome place, it's like sitting in the living place from somebody who lives there for decades :) The two owners are super friendly speaking German, English and Dutch. They have a small menu but everything they offer is made with love and tastes great. It's worth stopping by there :)

The cutest cafe in Amsterdam! And also with the tastiest food and the best service! We fell in love with this place… we just didn’t go there every day of our vacation because it’s closed on Monday and Tuesday! Everything is very tasty, well made and well served! The decor is very cozy, like a grandma's house!

Amazing breakfast! Farm omelet with everything good, delicious cupcake and delicious French toast. Furthermore, the coffee used in cappuccino and latte is of excellent quality. Other than that, it has a very pleasant atmosphere and great service.

If you're in search of a nice, affordable brunch, you need to go to lunchroom grannies. The portions are generous and everything is home made. I took the omelet with bacon and toasts and it was delightful. The french bread are scrumptious as well Please don't miss out on this extraordinary food experience and run to this restaurant!

What a DELICIOUS breakfast! I had the French toast with bacon, and my boyfriend had the meatloaf. So good! Nala also got doggy treats!

This is a lovely cafe serving food that, to me, is very close to homemade. The decorating scheme is nicely eclectic, like your grandmother's parlor. The propietors are really nice and it seems to be a local institution. All of the food we ordered - leek and goat cheese cibata, meatloaf, and soup/quiche combo had good flavor and felt like something we might make at home, albeit a bit better than we could manage.

Whenever I'm in Amsterdam I have to have lunch here! The croque madam here is incredibly tasty, no restaurant has surpassed this croque. I also always take home a piece of delicious cake. Hopefully you'll stay a while longer so I can enjoy the food often! 5 stars.

What an amazing and "feels like home" breakfast we had! The ambiance, the tasty food, the great customer service, and unique experience made our meal truly rememberable. When we come back to Amsterdam, we will be back!

Lunchroom Grannies is quite a misnomer as there are no grannies here, but two men who could be grandpas. The restaurant exudes an old-timey feel with black and white photos of Holland in the 19th century, amidst vintage paraphernalia. It's all pretty charming. Came here for brunch with my friend and we ordered an all day breakfast with omelette, bacon and toast, and a beef stew. Both were delicious and reasonably priced for the generous servings. The stew in particular came with thick cut crispy fries that were cooked till golden brown, and served with a small pot of mayo. Very Dutch. They're so good, we asked to take them away in a bag as we couldn't finish all the food. The man who served us (presumably one of the owners) was happy to oblige. One thing I wish they could do better to elevate the dining experience further is to brew stronger coffee. The cappuccinos we ordered were quite weak. Nevertheless we would gladly come back here again for dinner, except that they're closed after lunch.

Hidden gem in Hoofddorpplein! The cozy and characterful interior of this restaurant run by its owners sets the perfect atmosphere. Tried their French toast and it was a true delight - crunchy and soft, the best I've ever had! Can't wait to explore more of their menu on my next visit!

Omg, this place is a brilliant find in Amsterdam. The lunch room is run by two men who are very warm and welcoming. The service is great, and that's a rarity in Amsterdam. Their vegetarian omelette is the best I've ever had. The ambience of the place is so cosy that you never want to leave. The portions are huge and the pricing is reasonable. The dishes there have an authentic Limburgish touch, also quite rare in Amsterdam. What more can you ask for?! I highly recommend it.

Mega schnuckelig da drin, die Musik ist nicht zu laut und das Personal übertrieben nett. Das Essen war geil, es ist zwar mehr ein lunch/breakfast Ding, aber zum hinknien ehrlich. Hätte davon Fotos machen sollen, war aber darauf konzentriert zu essen solang es warm war haha. Ich hatte das Spiegelei auf dunklen Roggenbrot, mit extra Schinken und Käse, dazu gab's n kleinen Salat. Schmackhaft und hat gesättigt, zum Abschluss n' Cappuccino und war bei ~13€. Ich war glücklich, mein Kumpel war glücklich, passt 👍🏾
