They don't consider your personal circumstances, simply assume you're lying about being intolerant to something because you don't like it, and then forbid you from bringing a suitable product. They hide behind the rules (my request was due to stomach problems (a complication after surgery)). In their eyes, it's the same product, and because they're the caregiver and I'm the client, they think they know better than the client. It would suit them if they took their clients seriously despite their disabilities, but perhaps this schoolteacher behavior is normal in intellectually disabled care. I live in a residential facility for people with physical disabilities, and thankfully, things are very different there!
