Wedding celebrated with 85 people. Everything was perfectly arranged.

Welcoming and friendly staff! Thoroughly enjoyed a well-prepared high tea. Everything was delicious down to the last bite. Nice, surprising location. Highly recommended!

During our trip to Hengelo, we visited “Lust, Bakery and Bistro” to have a quick lunch. This is a genuinely wonderful place, especially outdoor area, to sit relax and have a meal or coffee. This café is located next to the Oyfo Technology Museum with spacious outdoor and indoor areas. Although we only had a snack, but it was delicious…especially the Dutch speciality “Bitterballen”. Also, the frozen cappuccino (my first time) was very tasty. The staff (the young lady who served us) was very friendly, efficient and the service was great.

Colorful place where you can order good high tea, but do make a reservation first as you cannot arrange it on the spot. I found the à la carte menu rather cafeteria-like. They don't serve sandwiches with egg and avocado or salads. The ambiance is industrial with beautiful colors. A tall building with a lovely terrace. We arrived a bit later and it wasn't very busy, so the service was quick. At first, we wanted to sit inside, but it gets quite noisy when multiple groups are having high tea, so we sat on the terrace. Parking is easy because it is outside the city center and there is ample parking available.

The fries and battered fish were undercooked, and the toast was supposed to be replenished, which didn't happen. No, I do not recommend this place.

Food good, atmosphere okay, space is small; when everyone is sitting inside it becomes too much to have a quiet lunch.

It was very tasty and the price was reasonable. The atmosphere was pleasant. What I particularly liked was that there were also special dishes for children.

Today we had a baby shower high tea at LUST and we are extremely satisfied. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail and excellently organized. The location is beautiful, atmospheric, and colorfully decorated, which immediately created a cozy and festive ambiance. We enjoyed various types of delicious fresh tea and a wide selection of fresh sweet and savory snacks. Everything was prepared tastefully and was of high quality. What we also really appreciated was that we were allowed to decorate the space exactly as we wanted, enabling us to make it a truly personal baby shower. Additionally, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout the entire afternoon. In short: a beautiful location, delicious food and drinks, and excellent service. Highly recommended for a baby shower or other festive occasion!

Delicious High Tea, highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic! Had a lovely monthly menu for May 26. It was very tasty, with great flavors and beautifully presented! I will definitely come back again, perhaps for lunch. Highly recommended. The brothers also had an Irish coffee, with a generous layer of whipped cream😋

Drink prices are nowhere to be seen. Drinks arrive quickly, food takes a VERY long time.

Last Saturday, we hosted a dance party at Lust to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! With 80 guests consisting of family, friends, and colleagues, we had a fantastic party. There was lots of dancing, chatting, and singing! What a beautiful location. Great atmosphere! Inside and out. A colorful setting with beautiful lighting effects on the dance floor.

Nice place, friendly service. The cold brie toastie was mainly a lump of white bread with little flavor and partly empty. A drinks menu without prices is not customer-oriented.

Last Sunday, a group of 15 women and I enjoyed a delicious high tea at Lust Bakery for a baby shower. We sat in a nice, separate corner upstairs, which allowed us to do our own quiz on a screen. The staff was very friendly, and all the allergies and dietary requirements within our group were taken into account exceptionally well. Definitely recommended for a baby shower or other group occasion!

Had the Tubantia monthly menu; it was all very tasty. Plenty of space (also outside), a wonderfully quiet spot just outside the center. Nice atmosphere, very cozy.

We had high tea here. The dishes looked beautiful and tasted delicious. It was nice that the sweet section had pink tones, which fits well with the decor.

We had a wonderful Easter brunch at Lust with the family. Freek is a fantastic cook and the lovely staff created a cozy atmosphere. Our children were even allowed to help carry the plates to the kitchen. Highly recommended!

Very nice little place in terms of atmosphere and location, but I got stomach problems twice after eating here. The menu is disappointing.

Terrible terrible service. Was pretty quiet inside and no one came to take our order for 25 mins so i went up to order and they said they’ll come to the table shortly and did so. We ordered and received the drinks reasonably quick. The milkshake, waffle and kroketten took much longer to arrive. The kroketten were tiny, completely overpriced. The milkshake came with the wrong sauce on top. 2 waffles were brought instead of 1 and a portion of fries was given to us even though we didn’t order any. No cutlery given for the food. No tissue given. What a joke. Food and drinks were tasty though.

Very nicely decorated. Friendly staff. Just very expensive for what you get. I was charged €60 for a high tea, which was very tasty but very small. We left hungry.

A hidden gem, had delicious pita bread and spareribs. Easy parking, and the staff are friendly and attentive. They clear the table quickly and, when the glasses are empty, immediately offer to refill them. Fantastic!

If you are looking for a venue for a party, big or small, "LUST" is the place to be. No, this review wasn't "whispered" to us! On October 16th, we hosted a party at Lust with 140 "partygoers." The thorough preparation, involving many of our questions and requests, was expertly managed by Peter. The reception, room layout, buffet setup, and active service for the (older) guests. Music, DJ, and available lighting system. Everything was discussed pleasantly down to the last detail. With a final check by Sophie! An in-house kitchen, top class! A buffet of distinctive quality that we still receive daily compliments about from the guests. A remarkable achievement by the kitchen. TOP! There was a slight hiccup; a different arrangement of the buffet(s) was resolved very professionally. The individual attention for the older guests was fantastic. A compliment for that as well. As you can read, it was a magnificent party; we look back on it with great pleasure.

We had a delicious meal in a lovely location with very friendly staff and a chef who told us all about the delicious food.

This is a really lovely spot for a delicious Sunday lunch; the food is absolutely delicious! And the location is beautiful.

Last Friday, my parents were surprised at their home with a delicious treat from Lust. They had wanted to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary at Lust, but due to my mother's fragile health, this was unfortunately not possible. To our surprise, Peter came to congratulate my parents on this special day and brought them both delicious treats. Peter and his team, thank you so much for this special gesture!

We had a wonderful high tea at Lust! A good mix of savory and sweet, lots of fresh tea to choose from, everything tasted fantastic (chorizo ​​croquettes and scones with lemon curd were favorites) and not too heavy! Highly recommended 😊

Delicious food and something different. I had a delicious tuna melt sandwich on delicious brioche bread. The portions are more than ample. The service is very friendly. Highly recommended for a tasty lunch!

I still had a savings card from Lidl restaurant weeks. Made a reservation, and had a delicious meal outside on the terrace. A three-course lunch was excellent and luxurious.

Well... in a word: Superb. Although I'm talking about the sparerib sandwich... I'll definitely be back for that. One drawback was the rather loud ambient noise. The acoustics could be better. Otherwise, it's a very nice place.

Went to the OYFO museum today and had a bite to eat here. What a lovely little place. Friendly staff, and we had a delicious meal. A spare rib sandwich, a carpaccio sandwich, and a spicy chicken sandwich... Delicious! Kudos to the staff.

Best Bahn Mi Rendang in Twente!

Ik had een aspergessoep besteld. Het smaakte niet naar asperges, het was heel zuur en er zat geen 1 stukje asperge in. De smaak stond mij echt tegen. Heb het laten staan na een paar happen en dit gemeld. Er werd ook geen alternatief aangeboden. Bij het afrekenen moest ik toch de volle mep betalen. Hier was ik verbaasd over. De baas was niet aanwezig en doorom moest ik de hele soep betalen, was het argument. Heb nog gevraagd of ik de helft mocht betalen omdat ik er wel iets van gegeten had. Helaas Jammer want we vonden de plek heel leuk om te zitten.

I was surprised here at my baby shower, we sat outside at long tables in the sun. I heard afterwards that this was arranged for us on the day itself due to the nice weather. The food was also beautifully prepared, a feast for the eyes. And it tasted great! Also for vegetarian/vegan. Thank you!

Had lunch with the grandson at Lust, Bakerij&Bustro after the visit to the technology museum. Let me start with a positive point and that is the service. You will be helped quickly by friendly service in a nice environment. Now the criticisms. The price quality is far below par. An egg roll (Sunny Side Up), which was also not properly cooked with some raw crust on a plate that was too small, for € 9.50 is not a sunny surprise. I also think the mint tea for €4.10 and 7up for €3.25 are on the high side. No, Lust, Bakery & Bistro is not great.

Had a delicious Valentine dinner yesterday! How delicious and beautifully served it was! Truly a feast for the eyes! Really enjoyed the atmospheric restaurant and friendly staff!

Had a delicious high tea here today. Everyone is also very friendly and we had a nice table with plenty of space to sit with two strollers. Definitely also baby friendly. We will definitely come back here again.

Ordered a taco plank for 52 euros, 8 different tacos. The creme fraiche, salmon, avocado and pomegranate seeds were missing... which meant that 2 tacos could not be made anyway. When we asked for an explanation about the tacos because we didn't see the salmon, it turned out that it was gone... the plank was really not worth the 52 euros! And without the creme fraiche, some tacos were really dry.

Heerlijk gegeten bij Lust! We hebben genoten van een het heerlijke Jumbo-menu. Borden waren prachtig opgemaakt en de gerechten waren heerlijk! Ik kom zeker nog eens terug!

As a group of colleagues we chose to have dinner here. Unfortunately, we did not experience it as very positive. It looked like one of the girls at the counter was having her first day at work. She couldn't take our orders correctly and also walked away all the time in between. The communication left much to be desired. The most annoying thing was that our dishes were not served at the same time. One half had finished the main course and the other half had yet to receive it. I understand that a large group may need a little longer to time everything correctly, but please indicate this neatly. I sat with a plate of carpaccio in front of me for half an hour during the starters before the last starters arrived. Even only after someone had indicated this. The service was sparse at the table and did not ask if it was to your liking. Someone also had to wait 2 hours for a cup of soup... all in all, after the main course (3 hours in total) we decided to call it a day. After several people complained, the excuse was that it was very busy. But there were only 3 other tables next to our table. In the end we were completely ignored. I think Lust is a great place for lunch/brunch/high tea. But for dinner I would skip it. It was a big disappointment for us unfortunately.

Upon arrival we were told that everything downstairs had been reserved... we had to sit upstairs, which is fine, but then we heard the employee say to people after us: find a seat... (maybe because we had our daughter with us, they didn't want us downstairs?). Very child unfriendly… Ordered apple pie: came frozen.. Crazy for a company that calls itself, among other things, a bakery. Not worth repeating for us.

Personeel was vriendelijk. Eten matig. Voorgerechten ( beperkte keuze omdat de ingrediënten op waren!!)) werden op borden geserveerd met een kapotte rand. 1 voorgerecht was niet restaurant waardig.. vis besteld, deze werd koud geserveerd, daarna met een brander op temperatuur gebracht 🫣

We had several vegetarian dishes, all of which were delicious and fresh. The non-alcoholic cocktails were also very tasty. The service was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was really nice!

The latte macchiato is not served in a proper large cup nor is it even the traditional one latte and the apple pie slice is tiny and not delicious at all.
