Ik had een aspergessoep besteld. Het smaakte niet naar asperges, het was heel zuur en er zat geen 1 stukje asperge in. De smaak stond mij echt tegen. Heb het laten staan na een paar happen en dit gemeld. Er werd ook geen alternatief aangeboden. Bij het afrekenen moest ik toch de volle mep betalen. Hier was ik verbaasd over. De baas was niet aanwezig en doorom moest ik de hele soep betalen, was het argument. Heb nog gevraagd of ik de helft mocht betalen omdat ik er wel iets van gegeten had. Helaas Jammer want we vonden de plek heel leuk om te zitten.

Had a very nice pleasant afternoon. Something for everyone. Unique recipes with nice music. In short, a nice combination for an afternoon 'out'. Staff is friendly and wants to make sure everything is to your liking, very involved!!. Definitely recommended for everyone!!

I was surprised here at my baby shower, we sat outside at long tables in the sun. I heard afterwards that this was arranged for us on the day itself due to the nice weather. The food was also beautifully prepared, a feast for the eyes. And it tasted great! Also for vegetarian/vegan. Thank you!

Had lunch with the grandson at Lust, Bakerij&Bustro after the visit to the technology museum. Let me start with a positive point and that is the service. You will be helped quickly by friendly service in a nice environment. Now the criticisms. The price quality is far below par. An egg roll (Sunny Side Up), which was also not properly cooked with some raw crust on a plate that was too small, for € 9.50 is not a sunny surprise. I also think the mint tea for €4.10 and 7up for €3.25 are on the high side. No, Lust, Bakery & Bistro is not great.

Had a delicious Valentine dinner yesterday! How delicious and beautifully served it was! Truly a feast for the eyes! Really enjoyed the atmospheric restaurant and friendly staff!

Had a delicious high tea here today. Everyone is also very friendly and we had a nice table with plenty of space to sit with two strollers. Definitely also baby friendly. We will definitely come back here again.

Ordered a taco plank for 52 euros, 8 different tacos. The creme fraiche, salmon, avocado and pomegranate seeds were missing... which meant that 2 tacos could not be made anyway. When we asked for an explanation about the tacos because we didn't see the salmon, it turned out that it was gone... the plank was really not worth the 52 euros! And without the creme fraiche, some tacos were really dry.

Heerlijk gegeten bij Lust! We hebben genoten van een het heerlijke Jumbo-menu. Borden waren prachtig opgemaakt en de gerechten waren heerlijk! Ik kom zeker nog eens terug!

Gezellige Entourage, vriendelijke bediening en een lekker en verrassende lunch.. met parkeerplekken rond het pand.

Had lunch here with the children after a museum visit. Nice original menu, the rendang sandwich was delicious! The decor is beautiful. The allergen card was very neatly organized and quickly found. We sometimes see that differently. Friendly service. In short, highly recommended!

Wat ben ik blij dat Freek weer in de keuken staat. Hij maakt van elk gerecht een feestje. Het is bijzonder hoe hij alle smaken bij elkaar weet te brengen tot een bijzonder lekker gerecht.

Wij hebben er een heerlijke high tea gehad. Lekkere hapjes zowel zoet als hartig en erg mooi gepresenteerd. Leuke sfeervolle zaak, vriendelijke bediening en goede parkeergelegenheid.

As a group of colleagues we chose to have dinner here. Unfortunately, we did not experience it as very positive. It looked like one of the girls at the counter was having her first day at work. She couldn't take our orders correctly and also walked away all the time in between. The communication left much to be desired. The most annoying thing was that our dishes were not served at the same time. One half had finished the main course and the other half had yet to receive it. I understand that a large group may need a little longer to time everything correctly, but please indicate this neatly. I sat with a plate of carpaccio in front of me for half an hour during the starters before the last starters arrived. Even only after someone had indicated this. The service was sparse at the table and did not ask if it was to your liking. Someone also had to wait 2 hours for a cup of soup... all in all, after the main course (3 hours in total) we decided to call it a day. After several people complained, the excuse was that it was very busy. But there were only 3 other tables next to our table. In the end we were completely ignored. I think Lust is a great place for lunch/brunch/high tea. But for dinner I would skip it. It was a big disappointment for us unfortunately.

Upon arrival we were told that everything downstairs had been reserved... we had to sit upstairs, which is fine, but then we heard the employee say to people after us: find a seat... (maybe because we had our daughter with us, they didn't want us downstairs?). Very child unfriendly… Ordered apple pie: came frozen.. Crazy for a company that calls itself, among other things, a bakery. Not worth repeating for us.

Personeel was vriendelijk. Eten matig. Voorgerechten ( beperkte keuze omdat de ingrediënten op waren!!)) werden op borden geserveerd met een kapotte rand. 1 voorgerecht was niet restaurant waardig.. vis besteld, deze werd koud geserveerd, daarna met een brander op temperatuur gebracht 🫣

We had several vegetarian dishes, all of which were delicious and fresh. The non-alcoholic cocktails were also very tasty. The service was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was really nice!

Tubantia menu gekozen, was ook de enige optie deze maand, anders kon de keuken het niet aan. Brood vooraf moest apart betaald worden, prima. Voorgerecht was smaakvol. Hoofdgerecht ook, maar hield qua hoeveelheid niet over. Friet erbij moest apart betaald worden, werd niet verteld overigens. Ook qua drankjes werd gewoon opgenomen en niet gezegd dat een Texels Skuumkoppe niet onder het Tubantia menu viel. Sterker nog, dit werd volledig berekend, dus ook niet als meerprijs. De medewerker vond dat eigenlijk heel logisch en reageerde wat stug en ging een discussie aan, wat er indirect op neer kwam dat de prijs al heel scherp was, uiteindelijk heeft hij het biertje van de rekening gehaald, wel netjes maar voor mij was de toon gezet. Vooraf duidelijkheid scheppen voorkomt dit soort gedoe! Het eten was prima, maar zeker niet meer bijzonder dan elders, waar we zeker niet duurder uit waren, zonder lezersmenu. Een dergelijk menu lijkt me bedoeld om mensen nog eens te kunnen ontvangen om a la carte te eten. Dat is Lust niet gelukt. De dames van de bediening deden het heel goed, daarom voor hen nog wel een fooi achtergelaten!

Staff was not quick to order, what we ordered was changed to something else without saying a word because they didn't have it. Very nice tent! Atmospheric and beautifully decorated. Unfortunately, the service wasn't anything to write home about. Called in advance about allergens and everything was possible. On site they knew nothing about it and there was hardly anything fun to be had. Also received half an order and the rest did not arrive. A bit of a shame because it is otherwise a very nice tent.

The burger was amazing, truly. Every individual ingredient was delicious and together, KAPOW! Weirdest mojito I've ever had, however. Still... great atmosphere, a beautiful place that's great for photos, and a great place to hang out on a hot Saturday afternoon. The patio feels like we're at the beach. Add a bouncy castle for the kids... what's not to love about this place?!

Lunch was tasty, was good. But the service at the end was very disappointing. When we received our sandwich, I walked to the counter to ask if I could order natural pancakes. As a surprise for our son. That was possible, so I said "great, then I would like pancakes to take with you". After this we went to the counter again to order pastries (to take away) for grandpa and grandma. It should be noted that they can also be taken away, just like the pancakes. When we received the bag to take with us, I saw 2 boxes in the bag and I had the feeling that something was wrong. "Are the pancakes already included?" I received a curt answer "no, you didn't order that" and she started a discussion with me. We were sitting close to the counter, so my friend had also heard that I had ordered the pancakes. No, she hadn't done anything so she couldn't do anything for us. Unfortunately I left home with a sour taste.

Great place - we went spontaneously on a Sunday morning and had coffee, cake and a sandwich. Everything was very tasty and the service was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back :)

A slightly beachy tent with a beach area with folding chairs. It is located a bit outside the center of Hengelo, but is a wonderful place to enjoy a drink on a terrace.

Were here with a large group. Service was good, drinks were brought quickly so we were not thirsty. Only it took an hour and a half! before we got the food (it wasn't even completely full so that's no excuse). In addition to things not being there (like the ribeye) the portions were small and the food was lukewarm when it was finally served. If something changes in the kitchen I would like to come here again, but my experience now is a one-off for me.

Easter brunch with 2 children. Delicious starters, homemade sandwiches and a delicious dessert. Children were also taken into account and were given special dishes. Everything prepared with attention and care. Kok clearly has a passion for his profession. We have eaten from the menu here before, but I think we have now also become regular Easter brunch guests 😉

We came at this restaurant not for the first time, first time everything was okey. But when we came at the second time it was horrible. We order food and we were waiting for 2 hours long. Every time when we asked about it, waiter told us: “it’s coming”. Any time they didn’t ask is everything okey… when we already came to the bar with our question “where is the food”. They said: “oops, can you wait a bit, in two minutes food will be on the table and drinks from the house”. Food came, but pasta with my friend order was spicy. And it didn't say on the menu. She has allergy to spicy food. She went to the bar, girl said, for me it’s not spicy. We asked for manager. We explained everything and in one moment waiter took our plate and started to eat the pasta, and then he said it’s not spicy for me. We were in shock. I think it’s not normal that waiter eat from guest’s plate. Manager didn’t react. She said, I can give you 10% discount and one round of free drinks. I can’t believe. It’s terrible place. I won’t come back there again. I didn’t recommend this place. Better to find something else.

It was very tasty and well prepared. We really enjoyed the high tea, delicious tea with plenty of treats! The service was good, very attentive and cheerful girl, compliments! Definitely recommended and worth repeating.

Had a delicious meal at Lust in Hengelo. A warm welcome and friendly staff with enthusiastic explanations. Surprise menu was enjoyed in all courses. Proudly presented by the chef, how beautiful is that. Nice warm and club atmosphere. People here know how to do gastronomy and hospitality. Recommended and we will definitely come back.

The restaurant was in a delicious 10 with an offer. We went for the 5-course surprise menu. Some dishes take you quite out of your comfort zone (renngdeng with mango ice cream) but it was all super tasty! Very nice and relaxed atmosphere, nicely decorated and super friendly service.

We had a delicious meal! Creative meals with an eye for detail! Just a little bit different than just a nice meal. The dessert was surprising, beautifully presented, original flavors and personally explained by the chef!

Nice and cozy Bistro. Hiply dressed! Nice atmosphere! We have had lunch here a few times now. We liked this. Had delicious seasonal soup and grilled cheese. We have also had dinner here before. Only the share menu I didn't really like in terms of quantity on the plate, because I then had to divide it between 4 people. Portions were often too small. Erg leuke plek, mooi ingericht, hartelijk welkom. Maar de lunch was onder de maat. Alle deelnemende familieleden (11) hadden meer verwacht van dubbel matig belegde boterhammen / broodjes / tosti’s voor meer dan €10 per stuk. Eén pasta die dreef in de olijfolie, lauwe koffie. Prijs kwaliteit is matig wat ons betreft een reden om de lunch te upgraden

The restaurant looks nice and the service was excellent. It's just a shame that nothing was done with the feedback for the soup that was not liked by three people. Even though it was a soup that cost eight euros. It was dismissed as a bit of a laugh because they had supposedly already sold several soups that day without any complaints.

The food was quite fine, but very small portions. So we had to order something for lunch so we could go home without being hungry. The low point was the chocolate freakshake that was made with mixed chocolate milk.

Stopped here for lunch on a day's wine tasting trip to Franschhoek, on the orange route of the Wine Tram . We had lunch in the Lust Bakery, and were impressed by the variety of options on the menu, and settled for a charcuterie board and a variety of small plates. All the food was delicious and well presented, and the charcuterie board was very generous. The service was friendly and efficient. This is a good lunch stop if you're looking for reasonably priced, value for money food. We also bought a loaf of sourdough from the bakery to take away with us, and that was delicious as well!

Heerlijk genoten van een 4 gangen menu! Uitzonderlijk goede service van de kok die zelf de gerechten uitserveerde. En probeer de desserts deze zijn van hoog niveau en onwijs lekker! Komen zeker een keer terug.

Heerlijk 4 gangen verrassingsmenu gehad. De kok kwam bij elke gang even aan tafel om alles toe te lichten. Vriendelijk personeel! Voor herhaling vatbaar!

Intens genoten van het vijfgangen verrassingsmenu. De kok bracht alles zelf, er werd de tijd genomen voor toelichting en er was ruimte voor erg prettige interactie over het menu. De bediening was op tijd, erg vriendelijk en attent. Een volle avond uitgebreid en heerlijk kunnen tafelen. Het restaurant zelf is sfeervol aangekleed. Bovendien is ook het vegetarische aanbod ontzettend goed.

Heerlijk gegeten! Vooral het toetje (cheesecake) was een explosie aan smaak! We hadden wat later op de avond gereserveerd maar ook toen was het er nog gezellig druk.

Lekker in de zon genieten op dit mooie terras. Springkussen stond er voor de Kids, top. Kids hadden een freakshake zag er voor de Kids fantastisch uit. Milkshake aardbei (werd gezegd maar was bosvruchten) met een (droge) donut, slagroom en spikkels, marshmallows. Bij de kassa schrok ik me kapot .. 9.95 per shake! Dat was de prijs zeker niet waard!

Vanmiddag een bezoek gebracht aan het techniek museum oyfo in Hengelo met een pauze lunch bij dit fantastische restaurant. Heerlijk gegeten… ambiance was prachtig en het eten was boven verwachting! Daarna nog even terug naar het museum… daar had mijn dochter (4) een ongelukje gehad en zijn terug gelopen naar lust en daar zijn we wederom heel aardig geholpen aan een theedoek met wat ijsblokjes om de pijn te verzachten…

Lekker koffie! En lekkers bij! Een aanrader…

Mooie inrichting, verder niet enthousiast. Ze maken reclame voor shakes waarvoor opde kaart verwezen wordt naar een krijtbord, maar het krijtbord was er niet.
