The staff were incredibly friendly and happy to help me. The pastries were also delicious, and there were many different pastries to choose from.

Quaint and pleasant atmosphere! The baked goods are excellent, and the bread isn't what you'd expect in the Netherlands. We only noticed it by chance after years of visiting Middelburg. Anyone looking for a good breakfast in a pleasant atmosphere should definitely go there.

We had breakfast there for two days during our vacation. The advance reservation via email went smoothly and the service was always super friendly, in a good mood and communicated perfectly in English. After the first breakfast we wished we had a bakery like this back home in Germany - unbeatable in taste, production and appearance!!! Whether it's bread, rolls, cakes or other pastries, everything is made in-house from high-quality ingredients and smells so tempting that you can't leave without three bags😅 The locals also really appreciate their work and quality!!! A huge compliment to this exceptionally great bakery - we already miss you!

I've had an amazing breakfast here whilst in Middelburg. The bread and patisserie, but also the coffee and all other ingredients such as cheese, ham, yoghurt were absolutely top-notch. No wonder there was a queue of locals in the morning for the bread and the place was overall buzzing. My go-to spot for breakfast in Middelburg.

Luuk is the best boulangerie in Middelburg. Their baguettes are perfectly crisp, and the pâtisserie is refined and full of flavor—just like in France. Everything is made with care and top quality. The warm, friendly service makes every visit a pleasure. Highly recommended!

Bread, this is bread. The way bread is meant to be. Pure, delicious, full of flavor in every bite. This bread does not bloat your stomach or leave you feeling heavy. A tasty crust and a full cut. My toppings can do something with that.

Small bakery where we ate a delicious cake

While looking for really "smart" bread (not the kind from the supermarket), I came across this cute bakery online during my last vacation.  We were late, sometime in the afternoon, and were just able to buy a loaf of bread and two croissants. A revelation!!! The croissants are to die for. Add coffee, that's all you need for the perfect start to the day. And the bread? Gigantic!!! Simply delicious. It was a matter of honor that we were there again today. Buy bread and croissants. Any time! Don't miss out on this quality! Absolute recommendation!

The best sourdough bread in Middelburg.

We were passing through Middelburg and wanted a pastry. We arrived 20 minutes before closing, but that didn't stop the staff from welcoming us warmly. The service was impeccable, despite the late hour. The pastries were absolutely delicious, accompanied by equally excellent coffee. A real treat for the taste buds! 😋 I recommend this place without hesitation for breakfast or lunch. The selection of breads and pastries is of high quality, and the atmosphere is particularly friendly. A great discovery in Middelburg!🥰

Top notch bakery in beautiful central Middleboro. These guys are incredibly hard working producing artisanal breads that are absolutely delicious. Complement with a well crafted coffee and u won’t want to leave.

Very rustic and great atmosphere. Bread is super delicious (sourdough bread fresh from the bakery) coffee tastes very tasty. We as turis discovered it by chance. Anyone who wants a good breakfast should go there. Real Becker craftsmanship!

Delicious coffee, but that shouldn't be the reason for your visit. There is exceptionally delicious patisserie. My favorite: strawberry. But everything else is also worth a try. The employees are totally friendly.

The space is very small, cramped. So it would be nice if you could hang your coat on a coat rack. Small, hard chairs (I was there with my very elderly mother) and no one did his/her best to make her comfortable. There was a very fat girl sitting at the table next to our reserved table, so I couldn't sit down, but I had to solve that myself. In short, only suitable for young, hip, flexible guests.

A baker who, with love for his job, “conjures up” breads and pastries that are clearly different from the usual baked goods in town. Much tastier, with sourdough and sometimes even with seeds. The sandwich with avocado and wasabi paste for lunch was amazing. All highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We know Middelburg very well and have been walking past this small artisan bakery for a long time. Now I went in and bought a sourdough bread... I have to say TOP quality, very customer-friendly staff and a cozy place. Thinks the BEST bakery in the city and beyond. Here you still eat REAL bread. Will definitely come back when we are in the area. 👍👍👍

The best place !!! We been there to take breakfast, scramble eggs are delicious and roastbeef too. The Bread is amazing. If we back to Middleburg we will eat here again. And thanks for trying to speak french for us.

Everything is so delicious. Good honest sourdough bread. Spelled whole wheat is our favorite bread and particularly good for... you know 😉.

In addition to rich culture and history, Middelburg is also home to a range of catering establishments. Sometimes you hear about it but you simply don't get around to visiting it. Too bad in this case, because Luuks Brood & Patisserie should have been discovered earlier. A business you would say, but once inside you get the feeling as if you are visiting a good friend. Despite the decoration of the building, there is a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. In between baking there is room for customers, paying, serving and delivering orders. Big compliments to this man. I will definitely come to this place more often.

Had breakfast this morning at Luuks Brood and we were suprised in a good way. Everything fresh and staff very kind. I tried some breakfast places in Middelburg, but this one is the best.

Delicious bread which you can buy as a whole or as part of a delicious sandwich. Besides the amazing bread their patisserie is also really good with a nice coffee. Overall the menu is well priced, would definitely recommend.

We had known about the existence of this bakery/pastry shop for a while. Today we were there on Saturday around 3 pm. Limited choice of pastries unfortunately, but understandable. If you want more choice, come earlier in the day. The pastries looked perfect in appearance. Ate them at home and they were really delicious 😋. Definitely worth repeating, they are not cheap in terms of price, but they are real handmade quality pastries, you should not forget that. Keep it up and we will come back for these pastries and I'm curious about the rest.
