There's a very relaxed atmosphere in the cafe, and they serve good coffee. What more do you want from a cafe?? The few times I visited it was pretty quiet, maybe it's because it's located just outside of the city centre, but this is definitely worth the 5 minute walk. I asked the barista what the best cake was and he told me the carrot cake. It was really moist and the icing was delicious, get it! I'm still eager to try the banana bread by the way. Finally, the latte art was very pretty.

A beautiful bright and airy space.Has a lovely community coffee shop feel.Coffe is superb and you can tell the owner takes pride in his product.Had a cheese toasty with Kimchi which was simply delicious.Already planning a return visit to beautiful Haarlem and Maeva will be my first stop.

The most important thing is a little smile. The woman who greeted us today was quite tense, and this was the only cafe in Haarlem where I didn’t feel welcomed. I don’t know if she was having a bad day, but it was a really unpleasant experience. Also, the heaters weren’t working, and in -1 degree weather, the place was very cold plus the windows were dirty, making the cafe look unclean. At least the coffee tasted good, so I’ll give one more star, but never visit again.

Just always great on all it proposes to do. Great coffee, food, ambiance and service. The people that are there are also a great public so this is definitely a gem in the city.

Absolutely recommended for coffee lovers! They serve the coffee exactly as it should be – full of flavour. The baristas are clearly experts and pay attention to detail, which is reflected in their nice latte art. The café itself has a nice, relaxed atmosphere, ideal for taking a break or working quietly. If you like really good coffee, this is a great place!

Great coffee, spacious and relaxed café and very friendly owner. For lunch I recommend the Pom tosti (Youssef makes all spreads himself and gets his bread from a cute bakery nearby). Maeva is a great asset for Haarlem and the Vijfhoek neighborhood!

Super chill and spacious cafe:) the coffee is def one of the best in town and they have fitting sandwiches and cakes to have with it. Also, try the chai! Lastly, the art is also on point and gets changed regularly so it’s fun to come back to over time.

Everything five stars seems a bit exaggerated, but it is deserved. The coffee is always top notch. Delicious ginger tea with turmeric. And the kanellbulle are addictive. Be on time, because they are going fast. Not an extensive menu in terms of food, but the sandwiches offered are special, tasty and healthy. And the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed, because of the peace that owner Yusef radiates, because of the nice music and because of the locals who like to come and chat.

This cafe is on the periphery of the city center. The coffee and food are not bad and the space is attractive. But the service is bad. I ordered a 2nd coffee. It just didn't come. When I finally said, "Leave it alone because I have to leave now," the response was, "That could happen." To be honest, this is a reason for me to look for a more hospitable place next time.

The freshly squeezed Jona apple juice with fresh ginger 🍎 🍏 🍎 was very tasty. You have to bring some time, but I think that's the concept here. A quiet oasis of well-being... you can definitely have a nice coffee here. ☕️ next time I'll test it...

What a nice relaxing tent. We had delicious coffee and tasty toasties with mushrooms and pom. Great that we could sit outside in the sun. The service was very friendly and relaxed.

Honestly the best coffee you’ll find in Haarlem. It’s just beside the city center, but absolutely worth visiting. Not many places that get even close to the taste of the coffee at Maeva. Spacious, animal friendly and peaceful atmosphere. In case you don’t like coffee, they have a very nice turmeric chai, different tea’s and some fresh juices which are very tasty. Food wise, the tosti with mushrooms is highly recommended. Long story short, if you’re in Haarlem, for sure give it a chance! 😄🫶🏽

One of the best coffee spots in Haarlem

Very nice here. They were also open with the Luilakmarkt. And that's why I only noticed it now. It was fun to watch people passing by with bags full of plants

It's mostly just for coffee and tea. The owner is nice and the drinks are good. Despite the sign saying they have lunch, food options are very limited and somewhat flavorless. I would come here to relax with just a drink since that seems to be their main thing.

We were ready for a cup of coffee and that was downright weak. After getting feedback, the excuse came that I should have asked for better coffee??? Atmosphere good food maybe too.

Finally had great coffee again in the center of Haarlem. While many coffee shops suffer from bitter/sour coffee, Maeve Café has a perfect balance. Take the time to explain and give good advice. We will come again soon! We will try the beans for home soon.

What a delicious coffee. Choose from various quality beans. Beautiful and spacious cafe. The service was a bit off when it got busy. Update: still delicious coffee and quite long waiting times. This remains a favorite place for me (provided I'm not in a hurry 😉).

Hands down the best coffee in town. Their vegan blueberry cake was smooth and “smeuïg”. The kimchi grilled toast was excellent! Try the croissants with a cappuccino, you will love it!

Had a very chill Sunday morning coffee here. Coffee and juice were tasty and definitely try one of the cakes. I had the banana bread and it was excellent. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

I was in Haarlem for a day to do some shopping, walking around we bumped into this amazing place called “Maeva “. Coffee was very good, the atmosphere and service were splendid. Definitely favorite place in the city. By the way the “tosti rendang” with sourdough bread is delicious.

Verreweg de beste koffie die ik in tijden heb gedronken. Ook erg geschikt voor alle leeftijden en een heerlijke sfeer, mede mogelijk vanwege de jongeman die op zaterdag ochtend vaak werkt. En ook de eigenaar en de andere medewerkers zijn uitermate vriendelijk. Echt op elk vlak goed, goed, goed.

Maeva has the best decaf coffee in the city of Haarlem, great aesthetic and a friendly atmosphere. I love coming here with friends, but also to quietly read a book and enjoy the ambiance.
