Mamma Mia in Wijk 00 Veendam-kern

Ate delicious pizzas. Special recommendation: Pizza Pollo and Pizza Julia

The nicest restaurant in Veendam, of course!!! And the tastiest!!! And a good learning experience for children!!!

We had a delicious meal; not only are the pizzas highly recommended, the rest of the menu is also very good. Nice staff, quick service with a friendly chat.

Good Italian restaurant with a wide selection of pastas and pizzas. Pasta carbonara was very tasty. Service was a bit slow at times.

A very small, pleasant restaurant. The food and staff are excellent. Highly recommended.

We actually came here two evenings in a row. Everything was great, the pizzas were delicious, and the service was incredibly attentive and friendly. The atmosphere inside was okay, the outside was just so-so...

I ordered pasta here once, but the penne was still hard and undercooked. Yesterday we went to eat at the restaurant again, and unfortunately, the pasta was undercooked once more; the penne was hard again. Additionally, our food arrived without cutlery. When we asked for cutlery, the waiter took a fork and a spoon and placed them on the table just like that. Normally, the cutlery is neatly wrapped in a napkin or served hygienically. We had also ordered drinks without ice cubes, but the drinks were lukewarm instead of cold. That was very disappointing.

Great atmosphere, friendly service, and enjoying the delicious food outside. Definitely recommended.

We had a delicious meal, as always. We sat outside this time because the weather was lovely. Fast service and very friendly staff. So, everything was top-notch!! As for the atmosphere inside, there is still some work to be done. The cozy and quaint feel of pizzerias from the old days is obviously missing. Thatched or tiled awnings and large bottles of Chianti are obviously no longer possible, but a bit of Italian atmosphere would be possible, wouldn't it? (Italian cars or scooter, a nice photo of small streets) Anyway, once again, the food is exquisite 😉. We will definitely be back.

Very tasty and customer-friendly

Reserved for 4 people on a Saturday at 6:00 PM, upon arrival the place was full, noisy and busy, but in a non-Italian way. Takeaway customers and regulars mixed together, people waiting at the bar looking around without a drink doesn't contribute to a relaxed atmosphere when dining out. The friendly young waitress was still wearing the previous day's work clothes. Pants dirty with stains and the work polo shirt likewise. And she wasn't the only lady walking around in stained clothes. I know how it works, however, on black you see everything, and unfortunately, after having cooked for 30 years, I see everything. We ordered Salade Caprese and Pane Caldone Mamma Mia as starters. Unfortunately, these were served at the same time as the main course. Pizza Quatro Fromazzio (€ 20.-) 🙄 for the lady and Bella Italia (€ 22.50 🧐) for yours truly, and 2 pizzas for the kids. The pizzas were not really generously topped, soggy, and not crispy. What a shame! The ambiance isn't very inviting, which is certainly the case at La Fontana in Veendam. Drinks came from the small bottle, as they should! The lady's Rosé wine was of poor quality, not to mention the quantity. There is a middle ground, but if you have to make your money with Rosé this way, we'll stick to just one glass. Something about turnover rate, cost price, and purchasing.... We paid €119 for 4 pizzas, a rosé wine, 0.0 Heineken, 2 soft drinks, and the 2 aforementioned starters. We'll leave it at that; too bad.

Based on all the positive reviews, we decided to grab a bite here. Never again for us. Uninviting and unfriendly staff. The pasta carbonara turned into a kind of extremely salty soup and a pizza with so much grease on it that it collapsed... unfortunately, not again for us.

Tasty meals, pasta, and antipasto... Fast, careful preparation. Friendly crew. Unfortunately, prices do rise regularly.

I'm not a huge pizza fan myself, but Mamma Mia Veendam never disappoints! Delicious pizza and pasta. 10/10 From the service to the food.

The pizzas were pretty good. Not overly topped, but with good dough and at least fresh vegetables. The service was friendly, but we left early because of the smell of burnt food. Apparently, the baking sheets weren't cleaned, and the extractor fan definitely wasn't working. We put all our clothes in the wash at home.

We've been coming here for takeaway and food for 30 years now, and I think that says enough. The food here is always fantastic.

I recently ordered three pizzas, and unfortunately, they were quite disappointing. If I had to give a rating, I'd give it a 4/10. The pizza dough was too soft and tough, the cheeses were too salty and flavorless, the vegetables were large, and everything was a bit soggy... all because it was overloaded with all the toppings. The prices are also quite high for what you get.

Friendly staff, delicious food,

As locals, we went to Veendam for a Laura Figi performance at Van Beresteyn. As Italian food lovers, we wanted to start with. Well, Mama Mía is highly recommended. It has a great atmosphere, isn't overly large, and the service is excellent. We shared the Insalata Fantasia starter, with crisp vegetables, olives, capers, ham pieces, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Afterward, I had the Putanesca pasta with tortellini. A rich sauce, and the tomato pieces weren't overcooked, but delicately cooked. Meanwhile, my wife was enjoying the gorgonzola lasagna. The portions here are truly generously sized. And what's not to love? Next to us sat a group of burly farmers, with whom I had an interesting conversation about the sugar beet harvest. Bottles of olive oil and balsamic vinegar were on the table. The bottle of Pellegrino came with a cute little bucket of ice cubes and shiny lemon slices. The bread in the basket had a deliciously salty crust. We had coffee afterward. In retrospect, Mama Mìa was the highlight of the evening.

Super delicious, especially the spaghetti that Nouko makes for me

Really nice restaurant, the pizzas are delicious.

Simply fantastic! Even though they were actually fully booked, they still accommodated us and we got a table, and thank goodness! We really enjoyed the pizzas. Very friendly staff and great service!

Beautiful, atmospheric restaurant with delicious, authentic Italian food. Great service, incredibly welcoming. This is the perfect place for an intimate date or a cozy evening!❤️🤍💚

The food was delicious... the atmosphere is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. I've been there a few times and will definitely go back again.

We had a delicious meal. Friendly, efficient staff and service. Daniel is a great guy! We'll be back soon!

Super cozy and you can always enjoy good food here. Friendly staff and a spontaneous owner. Top notch.

The pizza was absolutely inedible. Salami and tuna were chosen as toppings. First of all, there was too much oregano on both my pizza and the other one. The flavor was very overpowering. While the other pizza with ham didn't taste that good either, my pizza tasted like a frozen pizza, disgusting. It tasted so mushy in the middle, as if it hadn't been cooked properly. (I didn't order onions on the pizza either.) I complained. The waitress tried her best to mediate between the boss and us. The boss didn't even come out; he always sent his employee, who "had the boss tell me." I still had to pay for the pizza. Absurd! After a lot of back and forth, I was at least allowed to choose something else. I had the lasagna. It didn't really taste good either. I stopped arguing and paid. Absolutely not recommended.

Delicious food, great service! Son had his birthday and was congratulated by everyone and a song was sung for him when he got his dessert with fireworks in it👌 great!

What a nice restaurant, very atmospherically decorated and most importantly... the pizza was delicious!

Hadn't been there for a while. Food is still great! Pizza Daniele is still a favorite. Restaurant modernized. It was terribly hot, terrace was full, beautiful terrace too. Big thumbs up for the ladies and gentlemen. Hard workers and remained friendly. Ate deliciously at home.

Nice pizzeria, lots of choice and it tastes delicious, definitely recommended

Had a delicious meal with pleasant service.

Delicious pizza, friendly staff and neat restaurant

Tasty pizzas and friendly staff 👌🏻

Great food, good price. Unfortunately, customers walk through the restaurant and wait at the bar. That makes things restless and that's not comfortable

The starter in particular was "dirty" tasty! 😋🤭

Delicious food and friendly service

Very good and tasty menu and cozy furnished terrace outside.

Pizzeria Mamma Mia in Veendam is highly recommended for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine. From the moment you step in, you will feel welcome thanks to the warm and hospitable atmosphere. The interior is cozy and attractive, which immediately creates a nice ambiance. The menu offers a wide range of delicious dishes, but the pizzas really steal the show. The thin, crispy base combined with fresh, tasty ingredients makes every bite a pleasure. The Margherita and the Quattro Stagioni are personal favorites, but the pastas and salads are also definitely worth trying. What really makes this pizzeria special is the excellent service. The staff are friendly, attentive and always ready to help with a smile. They take the time to make sure you have a great dining experience. In short, Pizzeria Mamma Mia in Veendam offers a perfect mix of delicious food, a cozy atmosphere and top service. A visit to this pizzeria is a guarantee for a successful evening. Buon appetito!

The pizza's are, since long, of excellent quality. Recently they started to charge tap water (refrigirated) at 1,25 euros without any warning. "Do you want water""yes please" and that adds up 1.25 on your tabb. Furthermore, service when it is busy is great but at some point, when there are 6 to 8 tables left, they clearly want to go home and service becomes a must ask. Coming here for more than 20 years and the pizza's were still great but everything else was appalling including all of the fruitflies at our table. Come on mamma Mia, I have seen you do so much better

Chairs outside were dirty and full of spiders. Table wobbled. Service was very good. Food was good too.

Friendly people. fast and professional. food was also good and well prepared. Will come back again and again

Super tasty pizzas and spaghetti... When we have picked up the food at home it is still very hot (10 min drive) Big 10!!! Highly recommended

The food is delicious and the service is quick. Just perfect!

Delicious food and nice service 😋

The best pizzas in Veendam and surrounding areas

The three of us got pizza here and oooohhh these are really so tasty!! And very nice staff, we would love to come back here!

We had lasagna and tortellini crema, but it wasn't that great. The ambience isn't like that either. But the service is nice and attentive.

We had a delicious meal here, a nice table was reserved for us, friendly staff, a super tasty three-course menu, so all praise for this

Super good food, and free parking in front of the door

Delicious food, great service and a fantastic atmosphere. Price ratio very good.

We were there for the first time and had a delicious meal and nice staff Highly recommended

Friendly and hospitable reception. Operation very skilled and accurate. Food very tasty, try something other than pizza, it is really worth it

As always a delicious meal. The interior turned out very beautiful.

Delicious food and good service!

Been for the first time, everything was as expected, good pizza with a delicious base, we enjoyed it, will come back here more often

Good pizzas. Smooth operation. Normal price for pizzas. The restaurant would feel a little more cozy if the color of the lighting were a little warmer; now a bit too bright/white.

Haven't been for a long time and was pleasantly surprised by the new (for us) interior. Due to a miscommunication, perhaps also on our part, we each received half a pizza ... an apology was immediately given and the great thing was that this mistake was perfect for us! With a starter it was just enough. We had a really delicious meal! We will do this more often. So thanks for the mistake! :-)

Altijd gezellig, eten altijd goed

Goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding! We hadden een pizza en een pasta. Aanbevelingswaardig!!!

Lekker eten, grote porties. Alleen jammer dat overal oregano over heen zit

Super .....

Elkaar verstaan was soms lastig.

Super! Top service!

Heerlijk eten en vriendelijk personeel

Heerlijke pizza, lekkere bodem.

Uitstekend gegeten, prima bediening.

Lekkere pizza’s altijd snel klaar 👌

Heerlijke pizza's goede vriendelijke bediening

Heerlijk gegeten.

Goed eten, goede service, Betaalbare,

Miła obsługa i smaczne jedzenie.
