Pizzeria Ristorante La Fontana in Wijk 00 Veendam-kern

Tasty pizzas Very friendly people We have been customers there for years

Had a delicious meal, friendly service

Pizza full of grease. So full that the boxes just tear. A shame. Generously topped, though.

Had a delicious meal at La Fontana tonight. It was pleasantly busy. Prompt and very friendly service!

The service was fine and the food was okay. I found the decor itself a bit old-fashioned, but cozy.

What a wonderful experience, had a delicious meal in the amazing hidden courtyard.

We had a delicious meal on the outdoor terrace. A very beautiful, flower-filled spot to enjoy. We love coming here. Actually, everything is fine. The only thing that bothers us is people smoking on the terrace. It is probably allowed, but the smell of smoke and food is simply very unpleasant.

Charming pizzeria, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service. Value for money. Definitely recommended.👍

Thursday, May 28, 2026. After browsing around on maps for a bit, we ended up at La Fontana. We were early. There were no guests inside, whereas the outdoor terrace was nicely filled. After all, with few guests, you tend to have different thoughts. After ordering our drinks from the friendly staff, we made our choices. As a starter, a misti carne with fromaggio olives and salad, and delicious warm bread rolls. Well, this was a fantastic experience. After a nice break, we continued with the main course: a salmon, tuna, and vegetable pizza. And once again, we were pleasantly surprised; this pizza tasted delicious. We ate half and took the other half home, because a dessert in the form of the homemade tiramisu naturally had to be tasted as well. Having eaten several Italian tiramisu desserts, this one definitely makes it into my top 10.

Delicious food at a good price. Friendly staff. Very cozy atmosphere inside and out ❤️

We had a delicious meal. Adjustments were no problem either. We were helped by an extremely friendly lady.

Very nice restaurant with friendly staff The food was very good

The pizzas were large and very generously topped. They were delicious. I found the atmosphere a bit disappointing; it wasn't very cozy.

Delicious food, very friendly staff, and affordable too. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back to eat at La Fontana!

Had dinner last night. Great staff. Lovely atmospheric restaurant. Very satisfied with the food. Highly recommended...

In short: disgusting! Not expensive, but a frozen pizza from Albert Heijn tastes better.

We always loved this restaurant for both the atmosphere and the food. However, this time, when I was asked if I liked it, I said "no," but maybe it was just me. The woman said she'd pass it on to the kitchen, to which I replied that wasn't necessary. The woman came back a second time to ask if everything was alright. "The owner" quickly arrived and decided to fix it. I again told her it wasn't necessary, especially not that she'd come, and a heated discussion ensued, which the whole restaurant enjoyed, and everyone, of course, had their say. The fun was over for us, and we paid, which led to another discussion at the cash register, where the owner made it clear that SHE was the owner. In short, the pizzas were sour and not tasty, and I'll never go back. I don't understand what's going on there. An initial joke wasn't well-received, and the reservation wasn't in order either.

Some time ago, my girlfriend received a €75 dinner voucher from her sister for her birthday. Since we regularly went to "La Fontana," we thought it would be a good idea to use it there, so we called the pizzeria to ask if the voucher, which we had described in detail over the phone, was redeemable there. It was indeed, so we immediately made an appointment for that same day and had a delicious meal there—so far, so good. However, when we handed over the voucher, we were told it wasn't the correct one. What should we do next? After some discussion, my girlfriend took out her wallet and paid. Disappointed, we went home and haven't been back since, which is a real shame. I contacted them about this incident afterward, but they were completely unwilling to accommodate us in any way. In short, it was a real shame.

We ate at this restaurant for the first time tonight. The service was pleasant, friendly, and efficient, without being pushy. The food was delicious. Good portions and surprisingly tasty. The starter was mussels, the main course was salmon/shrimp and chicken/spinach, with spaghetti and salad. For dessert, we had vanilla ice cream with espresso. We highly recommend it. And we'll definitely be back.

always a nice and cozy atmosphere, the service is super good and the food is excellent!

We ate here last Saturday. The staff were very friendly, and we received prompt and cheerful service. The atmosphere is pleasant and quite busy, but we could still hear each other perfectly. The food was delicious! We had the Carne Misti appetizer for two, which we thoroughly enjoyed, and my husband and I had Cannelloni for the main course. We each had a different flavor and really enjoyed it. The portions were generous, and we were so full that we took our dessert, the delicious lemon and chocolate cannoli, home with us. We'll definitely be back; it's a true gem!

Delicious food at a good price. Personal and friendly service.

Really delicious pizzas 🍕! Friendly owners and service.

We had a delicious meal here yesterday. The prices are very reasonable. These are simply the best pizzas in the north! You won't find them anywhere near us that good. It's hard to find a good pizza ria, my compliments!

Whenever we're in the area, we always stop here for a bite to eat. Excellent pizzas that they don't skimp on, and they offer a very reasonable price.

Cozy garden, had delicious pizzas, the price-quality ratio is very good

Simply great, so inconspicuous and yet beautiful

Delicious food, friendly staff.

Delicious food. Cozy atmosphere. Friendly service and a very reasonable price. Definitely recommended!

The spaghetti bolognese is particularly tasty

Great food, highly recommended. Good service and relaxed service

We recently had dinner there with colleagues. It was super tasty, nice service and the pizza was top notch and the leftovers to take home are highly recommended!!

Good and delicious food. Good and friendly service.

Food was good. Service is 5 stars. 1 disadvantage: you smell terribly like pizza when you leave. My coat still smells like it now (despite hanging outside for hours)

A place where you can still eat a good pizza.

Delicious dinner with five people. Had different dishes, everything was brought at the same time and tasted good. Service was great, friendly staff. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant itself, nice decoration. Worth repeating!

Excellent pizzas will definitely come back here

Pancake quite tasty, but thick crust and rock hard base, it was almost impossible to get through, so we won't go there again unless this gets better.

Very disappointing quality. We were at a birthday party. Had to wait more than an hour and a half for the food. (when we asked the waiter, we were told that the food would be served when it was ready. The table that arrived after us had already left before we had our food). In the meantime, they are selling several expensive drinks and making a fuss about glasses of tap water. Hard thick and some burnt pizza bases. Pastas without flavour. Sandwiches beforehand and coffee afterwards were good... very unfortunate for the birthday boy or girl! We won't be back...

It's still delicious every time, I'll soon be picking up a special Dynamite, I'm already looking forward to it and it's extra spicy. Half an hour later I was enjoying a well-baked and tasty spicy pizza. I also like a good spread and I don't know of any pizzerias in the area that also serve them well. I think I went there for the first time 27 years ago, and it's still super good.

Delicious pizzas and super nice staff😊

Food is just good, takeaway or on site. Service and atmosphere are great.

I sat outside with my family and had a fantastic meal. The rear terrace is like being on holiday, truly brilliant! The ladies at the counter were especially great, especially Anniek! Will definitely come again on a weekend.

Delicious food, nice staff, good value for money

No Italian sends this out of the kitchen. This pizza weighs a kilo so many onions and mushrooms are on it. Soggy soil due to a lot of moisture. A disappointment unfortunately

Very relaxing Holiday feeling Excellent quality Kind staff In short, we enjoyed it

Only pizzas picked up so far. Very good quality for an excellent price. Nice people, great atmosphere. In principle, you can park in front of the door, but there is not always space nearby: don't let that be a deal breaker, because it is really worth it!

Very good restaurant in terms of price and quality really top!!

Other years fine, but now two different types of pizza, my husband and I, my husband had salmon and tuna (canned, so quite wet), pepper, onion, asparagus, but oh my goodness... Paprika was sour, not fresh, from the pickle, all in all really not good and tasty, I also had a lot of canned peppers, it just didn't taste fresh! Had a conversation, fine by the way, with the chef... Peppers too expensive to buy fresh was his story. Not acceptable, then make your pizza more expensive, you want fresh products and some Italian flavors on your pizza!! But staff was open to conversation so hats dealt with!

I ordered two traditional lasagnas, which, after explicit inquiry, I was assured would not contain pork. While eating I quickly fished out the ham... After contacting them, they offered to prepare a new lasagna. Given the travel distance of two times ten minutes, this was not an option. When I wanted to order again two months later and asked if the offer was still available, I was told that this was not the case. In short: once, but not again.

Cozy pizzeria and the food is tasty and affordable

Good food, friendly staff, and especially if you sit in the courtyard in the summer, very atmospheric.

I don't know how many times I've eaten here. Quite often. I have even referred friends and acquaintances to this restaurant and they now also like to eat there. The food is so delicious there and the salad and spaghetti that you get with the dishes alone is highly recommended to go there. So delicious . The staff is always very friendly. In fact, I have never had a complaint. Yes, once they didn't have the meat I had chosen, but I didn't make a fuss about that and just chose something else and we got a baguette with herb butter in advance from them as compensation. Super, right?

Very friendly staff, very pleasant. Delicious food, definitely worth going here.

Had dinner with the little girl today. Service was fine . Was helped quickly. And the food didn't take long to arrive either. Children's pizza for the little one. (still a decent pizza though). And even the roma with asparagus etc. Well baked. Good taste, in short, a great one! Herb butter for the crusts (delicious!) Add a bowl of oil with various chopped peppers for the pizza. Highly recommended. Delicious food, beer, fristi for the little one. Peppa pig on the tablet. So that daddy can also eat in peace.. And she also chewed quietly. Great.. I'm happy and satisfied and so is my girl. Good restaurant!! You can also park in the alley next to it, there is also a parking space. In the summer you can sit in the back of the house and imagine yourself in Italy...

Good food and nice service, parking a bit difficult, but a 10+ on the food

Delicious food and nice service!

We had a delicious meal, a nice homely restaurant!

We had a delicious meal at La Fontana! Our son just said: if we lived nearby, I would eat here more often. Definitely worth it!

Nice pizzeria with very good pizzas and nice staff. I happily drive 30 km to get pizzas here.

Best pizzas ever!!! Richly filled with fresh ingredients! Really great. Pastas are also very tasty.

The best in the province of Groningen. And that is not just said

Good food, good service and very cozy. Nice garden.

Erg lekker gegeten, vriendelijke bediening

Lekker eten, vriendelijke bediening, ruimte, eerlijke prijzen.

Kortom, we komen zeker terug.

Prima eten, Prima service.

Geweldig restaurant, heerlijke ( hele grote ) pizza’s. En vooral erg leuk en gezellig !

Tja .....pizzas he .....altied goud jah

I ordered takeout pizza. It was really not good. The dough was extremely tough and very hard to chew and the entire pizza tasted of old lard. The quality of the toppings was poor. Not the best first experience...
