There were a lot of people so I bought some and ate it, but it didn't have any special taste and it tasted a bit like porridge.

I loved them, the best fries of my life with truffle mayo, they were amazing!

Unfortunately, it was a prank; the cheese sauce tasted awful. (May God forgive me for saying this.)

One of the worst fries I’ve ever had. This place feels like a tourist trap. The fries were not properly cooked at all. Even though there are many dip options, it doesn’t matter when the fries themselves are poorly prepared. On top of that, it’s very expensive and there’s a long queue, which makes the experience even more disappointing.

The classic and famous Dutch fries in the city center, on Damrak. The portion is generous: a large one costs about €8 and is filling, even if it's not the largest. The sauces are also excellent; there's something for everyone and they really make a difference. There's usually a bit of a line, especially during rush hour, but it moves fairly quickly. Fast and plentiful did think it was a little expensive for what you got but big portions and lots of options for vegan sauce and vegan cheese.

Terrible customer service. Would not come back here unfortunately. Moved me to two different queues after ordering and then after waiting nearly 30 minutes told me I didn’t order anything.

It says that it's number one in fries. But it's the worst fries I have ever tasted. Very salty and the sauce also wasn't that special. I won't go there again. Slechte frietjes, koop hier niet, zonde van je geld.

Delicious fries with ketchup (special) and mayo with onions are a big hit. Unfortunately, the packaging isn't ideal, as it's difficult to reach the fries at the bottom.

The fries were incredibly delicious, and there was such a wide selection of sauces. Even though I'm not usually a fan of fries, these were fantastic. I had them with cheese and sweet and sour sauce. A brilliant combination. The line was extremely long and stretched all the way to the tram tracks. Nevertheless, we didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes. It went incredibly fast.

STAY AWAY! I never liked this place, as I’ve always thought it was just a tourist trap, but we decided to give it a try, and it was a huge disappointment. The taste was awful; my guests said it was the worst they’ve ever had. The man in the photo (I removed the photo because I am trying to be a better person) was extremely rude, he nearly threw the food at us and said something very disrespectful (in Dutch), assuming I was just a tourist. When I responded in Dutch, he looked quite annoyed.

I don't think it's as great as people make it out to be. Besides being served hot and being large, there's nothing special about it. They add plenty of sauce, but the sauce overwhelms the flavor of the potatoes. You'd be much tastier eating them plain.

The best place for fries in the center. Really fast service, even if you see long a long queue do not worry about it, it will be gone in 2minutes. The portions are definitely really big, great value of money and really tasty

This is a great place to try Amsterdam's famous fries. The fries are delicious, the portions are very large, and there's plenty of sauce. You can enjoy your fries however you like. There's a queue at all hours of the day, but it moves quickly. There's no seating, it's takeaway only.

The potatoes are average in taste, but they become delicious with sauces. They are especially worth trying with Parmesan and truffle mayonnaise. You might have to wait in line a bit.

The service and atmosphere are great! However...the flavor is a little too salty and there's a ton of mayonnaise on top...I'm not happy about it lol To make some memories... 🤗😅

We chose two medium sizes. We tried the truffle mayonnaise, andalousy, and parmesan sauces. We paid 21 euros for both. The portions were quite large and filling; even the medium was more than enough. Don't let the line scare you; even the long line was over in 10 minutes. The flavor is worth the wait.

Delicious, quick, and very creamy. The potato wedges are sweet, and the truffle sauce has a very strong flavor, but it's delicious.

The fries were EXTREMELY salty, so overrated, the price is so high for basic fries. Do not recommend at all.

This was our favorite meal during our European trip. The sauce was just right and the portion was generous. We added cajun powder for a spicier flavor.

It’s more advertising hype for the fries it’s a normal place serving fries with different types of sauces. That said, you have to wait 30 to 40 minutes in line.

I had potatoes with truffles and their most famous sauce. I'm not blown away but I like to try familiar things.

If you're eating alone, ordering a small portion is enough to try it out. The taste is good; they're thick-cut fries, but they do get a bit greasy towards the end.

Great crispy fries with a crazy variety of sauces! The medium serving is pretty huge and enough for 2 people. There is always a line but it moves fast so don’t be intimidated. The staff serving us was a little clueless on the sauces and had to keep asking his peers to answer our questions. All in all a good experience. Also, this place is open till late at night so that’s a great!

This is my first experience with this branch. The place is crowded. The fries are good but hard. The other branch was better.

I finally decided to try them. I have to say the fries are not as great as you would expect. And still I'd recommend to try them just because of how fun the experience of buying them can be. Maybe I was just lucky, but the staff who took our order was extremely funny and we had a great time just getting our fries. I did not know they also have an immense variety of sauces to top your fries.

We took the large portion for 2 people. The special ketchup was very good, the truffle mayo was quite good, however when you say you are number 1 and charge 12 euros for a large potato with 2 sauces, you expect something wow. It tastes good but it does not reflect the quality in relation to the price. Too bad that 2/5 of the potatoes were black and they do not separate them. Service and payment within 15 seconds for something of poor quality. We heard it, we saw it and it was ok.

Claims "best fries in NL" but honestly tastes like any other street friet – nothing special. Price is higher than average spots nearby. Garlic sauce was fresh but meh. Always a long queue of tourists though. Try if you want hype, skip if you want value. Still, hot fries on a chilly evening hit the spot.

This place sells some famous Dutch fries. I found them expensive. But good to try once. Long queues should be managed someway.

First fries that I've tried in Amsterdam.. lots of different options around town but I think the premise is the same. Hot, crisp fries in a cone with a little wood stick. There is a wide variety of sauces to choose from. I think the standard is to put the sauce(s) directly on the fries. I requested them on the side and it was no problem. I got the cheese sauce and the satay sauce (peanut). Both were tasty. The smallest size could easily feed 2 people. Ordering - I recommend standing off to the side and figuring out your sauce(s). There are a lot and the line moves pretty quickly so it's best to have figured it out. You order in one line and then go to the back of the line to your left to get your order. It was a little confusing so am hoping to help. Cheers!

Very expensive, two medium fries with sauce 17 euros

It's chips and a choice of sauce, what more do I need to say. Portions are generouse and the sauces are good. I recommend the "Samurai Sauce" if you like it a bit spicy.

We went there around 12pm on a Thursday, there weren’t a lot of people and we got our fries in around 10min. The fries are fresh & tasty. Medium size is easily enough for 2 people. I would recommend coming when there are no long lines.

defnitely a must have when you're in Amsterdam. Fries were of good quality but what made it great were the dipping sauces. We tried the local, recommended sauce and couldn't have been happier with our choice. All in all, a great snack when you're in town.
