Mario's Shoarma Grillroom "De Pyramide" in Wijk 00 Uitgeest

Dirty restaurant with disgusting food. Had a stomachache for 3 days. Very bad experience.

We ordered two pizzas here and had them delivered at 5:45 PM. They were delivered at 7:50 PM. Unfortunately, they apparently needed two hours to make and deliver two pizzas, and then they even delivered them to our neighbors. The food wasn't really warm anymore, and the taste was very disappointing. The delivery driver wasn't very friendly, according to what we heard from our neighbors. So, unfortunately for us, this is the first and last time we've ordered from here.

Lovely little bistro serving tasty italian dishes

This restaurant has been around since time immemorial. Delicious shawarma and pizza, top-notch sauces, and friendly staff. Thanks for your hard work, Mario! And that goes for the woman too (sorry, don't know her name). ❤️

Yesterday I ate at Mario's for the first time. I ordered vegetable soup and it was fresh and homemade, big plate full of delicious soup. Pizzas and lasagna all fresh. Nice homely atmosphere with good music. Staff works hard and is polite. When I'm in the area I will definitely come back! Thank you team Mario. 💚

Had dinner at Mario’s Grillroom and Shoarma, but unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The menu says a shoarma sandwich for €7.50, with “large €9.50” in small letters. I simply ordered a shoarma sandwich — without any specification, as most people would do — and then got the more expensive, large version without this being discussed. When I kindly indicated this, instead of understanding, I got a big mouth in return and was accused of saying it more clearly myself. Customer friendliness was nowhere to be found, and I definitely did not feel welcome. No more Mario’s for me. Too bad, because the quality of the food could not make up for this unprofessional service.

We picked up pizza today. We received very friendly service, the pizzas were ready quickly, and they tasted good. The price-performance ratio was absolutely fair. The owner has done everything right up to this point. What's really unacceptable, however, is the location itself, which is in dire need of renovation or an update for 2025. Bottom line: as a takeaway, if you're craving a delicious pizza, it's absolutely top-notch.

Been coming to Mario for 30 years and will continue to do so for another 30 years if possible. The salami pizza is my favorite, but the vegetarian options are also very good and richly filled. The homemade garlic oil is so delicious that we always allow quite a bit extra on the pizza. Service is a 10 as far as I'm concerned; Mario always spends a lot of time and attention on the food he makes and also has time for a nice chat. You often just get something extra. My favorite pizzeria!

Delicious food at a very reasonable price. We received the wrong meat dish today. After a phone call, the owner personally brought the correct dish! What great service and what friendly people!

Always delicious food, well cared for and very customer friendly

Really one of the best and tastiest pizzas I've eaten! Dough was not thick and not thin and the pizza was well filled! I will definitely get it more often!!

I ordered spare ribs, but unfortunately, they were all gone. Mario called me right after ordering, apologizing and offering to choose anything they had as an alternative. I chose a calzone, potato wedges, and a can of drink. Mario is very friendly, and the service is excellent! Then the food arrived… :-) It was truly delicious; the calzone was perfect, and the seasoning on the potato wedges was truly delicious. We'd happily order from here again!

A legend for years and the quality remains superb

Food came way too late and left me with a stomach ache afterwards…not recommended!!!

After a day at the beach, we stopped for a pizza. This is how a pizza should be and taste. Your pizza is prepared with a lot of passion. The furnishings of this small "shawarma grill room" are solid. Everything behind the counter is crystal clear. Super clean. Staff are very friendly. Highly recommended. The pizza tasted delicious. Too bad about the previous reviews.

Thank you Mario for the tasty pizza and always cheerful and hospitality. You can create your own combination and of course Mario never says no to his customers.

If you don't want to eat what you ordered, you have to eat here. If you order chicken shawarma, you will get donür, Mr. runs a catering business and doesn't know what chicken shawarma is, but if you say something, he insists that dunür kabab is chicken shawarma. Anyway, I ate while my girlfriend doesn't like donür, then the gentleman charges extra for things he says he did extra that we didn't ask for because we wanted to eat there and he put the pizza in a plate, the gentleman charges extra costs when you are going to pay, look carefully at what you pay, sir, invents his own costs. AND NOW IT COMES MY GIRLFRIEND HAS BEEN VOMITING FOR AN HOUR WITH ABDOMINAL CRAMPS AND I HAVE HUGE ABDOMINAL PAIN IMMEDIATELY AFTER WE DRIVE AWAY I'M TYPING THIS WITH CRAMPS IN MY ABDOMEN IF YOU WANT TO GET SICK YOU MUST ORDER PIZZA HERE 16.50 EURO TO THEN SUBJECT TO EXTREME STOMACH COMPLAINTS BY EATING A PIZZA THAT YOU DIDN'T ORDER AND ALSO HAD CONTACT BY TELEPHONE ABOUT WHICH PIZZA WE WANT AND THEN STILL DARE TO CHARGE ADDITIONAL COSTS SHAMELESS AND DISRESPECTFUL.

Not very tasty, to say the least. Besides the fact that we did not receive what we ordered at all. The macaroni has become penne, and the 4 cheese is suddenly a carbonara…. Nowadays lasagna is also spaghetti bolognese. Very special. Shame!

Pizza reasonable, shawarma excellent, service is top

Worst pizza I've ever had! Dr Oetker frozen pizza is even tastier!!! Eating 2 pieces of a whole pizza just tasted sour.

I went to Mario twice, the food was very good, the staff very kind and helpful, great atmosphere.

It is a mystery to us how such a friendly, nice and likeable man can make such a miserable pizza. There is still a lot of room for improvement. 🤷‍♂️

Delicious food, Mario's hospitality is top notch. We don't experience that often anymore. We were in Valk Akersloot, we had walked there and he wanted to take us back. Super. Recommended.

I recently went to Mario Grillroom and I cannot emphasize enough how fantastic my experience was. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff. The food was downright delicious. The choice on the menu was varied and there was something for everyone. I chose one of their grill dishes and the meat was perfectly prepared, juicy and full of flavour. The portions were generous and I certainly didn't go home hungry. As for service, the staff was attentive and professional. My order was taken quickly and the food was served on time. They were also very helpful in answering any questions I had about the menu. All in all, I highly recommend Mario Grillroom to anyone looking for a delicious meal in Uitgeest. The combination of excellent food, welcoming atmosphere and friendly service makes it an absolute must. I will definitely be back for more! And especially that he wanted to take us to our hotel! What a service!

Delicious pizza and calzone. Made quickly and in tip top condition.

Mario is very hospitable and the pizza was very tasty. Received free sauce and salad and some extra shawarma on the pizza.

We went to get our pizza here because there was no option to order take-away food in the port. Very nice service and I also thought the pizza was delicious. (it's always a matter of taste) Pizza has many variations... so we enjoyed this pizza on the houseboat :)

Good food and friendly personnel

Fantastische pizza, met de hand "gegooid" en goed op smaak. Mario geeft soms onverwacht wat extra's zoals een salade, broodje of laatst zelf een mini flesje wijn. Echt een aanrader voor een lekkere betaalbare bezorgmaaltijd. Volgende keer probeer ik de kebab!

Good calzone, good pizza and some good Shoarma as well. Have been here several times. Owner has a lot of humor and helpful.

Kwamen tijdens sluiting nog aan en ze waren zo lief om toch nog een heerlijke grote shoarma te maken. We kregen een ijsje tijdens het wachten en mijn man een biertje mee met zijn bestelling. Super lieve mensen. Is een aanrader!

Leuk restaurant/afhaalgelegheid. Waar je naast lekkere pizza's ook hele lekkere shoarma gerechten kunt eten of meenemen en het thuis op eten. Je kunt het uiteraard ook laten brengen. Heel vriendelijk personeel (waaronder dus de eigenaar Mario) Naar mijn mening echt een aanrader!! (Al is dit natuurlijk een mening en gebaseerd op een persoonlijke ervaring)

Komen hier al jaren Mario super aardige vent

Vond het niet geweldig goed en voor een pissa en een kip sowarma en 2cola vond ik 30.50 erg duur dat zou inhouden dat ik 4.75 per blikje cola heb betaald

Lekkere bezorgde pizza die nog heerlijk warm was.

Net een salami pizza en pasta carbonara opgehaald. Wat was dit lekker!! De pizza was goed belegd en een krokante korst met knoflook-pesto olie op de rand en de carbonara was heel lekker. We hadden een ander favoriet restaurant, maar dit is de nieuwe favoriet. Ook de kok/ gastheer was een super vriendelijke man. We hebben zelf nog een broodje en salade meegekregen. We gaan hier zeker vaker eten, echt een aanrader!

Waren alle shoarma pizza restaurants maar zo. Mario Vrolijke gast en oude tante zorgt voor de muziek. Erg gezellig Aanrader

Heerlijk lekker gegeten. Gezellige zaak en super klantvriendelijk. En de shoarma is overheerlijk.

Prima ervaring zowel het eten, de service en de bediening.

Lasagne was mmm. Toffe mensen. komen zeker terug.

Ik kom hier al jaren en dat is niet voor niets. Pizza's zoals alleen Mario het kan maken.

We kwamen aan en kregen een blij gevoel van hoe aardig het personeel is. We kregen alles heel netjes toe gedekt Top service!

Wij hebben laat op de avond nog wat besteld in deze barre corona crisis. Ik weet niet waar ik moet beginnen maar ik heb fantastisch lekker gegeten. Pizza , pita en een kapsalon. Grote bak saus, salades er bij en had een complete maaltijd in huis. De Formaggi Pizza was echt perfect. Dank dat jullie goed goed voor ons gezorgd hebben.

Mooie kijk in de keuken en zeer vriendelijk geholpen.
