We made a reservation for 7 people on February 15, 2025. We promptly received an automatic confirmation by email. When we arrived at the restaurant, it turned out to be permanently closed; there was clutter everywhere, chairs piled up, and it had clearly been empty for a while. There was no mention of the closure on the website, and Instagram and Facebook were still active. That's a shame! Imagine people driving a considerable distance to dine in Nijmegen, only to find the doors closed. So, this is a warning to avoid making a reservation at Mas Nijmegen.

We waited over an hour and a half for our food, but never got anything. When we paid for our drinks, we were presented with a bill for €280, which turned out to belong to another table. We were also suddenly denied the use of the restroom. And when we paid, we were laughed at for leaving because "it would be better tomorrow." A terrible place. Absolutely pass by!

We had a wonderful evening of unlimited enjoyment. Delicious food, fast service, and a great atmosphere with good Spanish music. A fantastic evening, and we'll definitely be back!

Super tasty food for a good price and the service is friendly and social. In short: top experience!

Super tasty food, recommended.

There was no one inside, which is suspicious. The staff just chatted and showed little interest in us. The garlic bread consists of four thin slices of bread with tomato paste...it's cold and tastes and looks like nothing. We ordered a few tapas. The quality is mediocre. All in all, we spent too much money for very little food. Never go there.

We started the evening with disgusting orange juice and coke; something was broken on the tap, which happens. But after waiting over 2 hours and 15 minutes, the second round still hadn't been served. When we inquired, the waitress told us the chef wasn't cooking for us anymore because our two hours were up. We refused the offer to pay for the dishes from the first round and only one round of drinks. €30 for 2 cokes, 3 pieces of baguette, and a handful of nachos wasn't worth it. After discussing, waiting, and consulting with the manager, we only had to pay for the drinks. That was very polite, but a pleasant evening dining with Spanish tapas was far from the norm. Kudos to the waitresses; they couldn't help it and remained very friendly! The decor didn't make me feel like I was in a Spanish restaurant; a cold wind blew under the table, making it uncomfortable. Our visit will remain a one-time thing and I would not recommend it.

Too few staff, therefore long waits.

In short, service poor, food quite tasty. After 40 minutes I had 1 round (small snack). After 2 hours (end of package) 4 rounds. Because I complained, we were allowed to order something else. One person in the service seemed to systematically ignore us. Also every time she served the table next to us she didn't look at us. This became very annoying. It is not warm in the conservatory.

We had a delicious meal with a Social Deal package. The service was friendly and attentive. There was a small error on the receipt, but it was promptly resolved at the checkout. Absolutely value for money 👍

Had a nice evening here with four people. We were served very nicely by a friendly boy. Food was fine :)

In retrospect, it was strange that all the dishes were cold. The taste was good, we stupidly didn't say anything about it.

We had a Social deal package, soup with pinchos. The idea was to order more after the arrangement. But the pinchos were very meager and not tasty at all, nothing special about this food. We just went quickly.

Was terrible. We wanted All you can eat. This was not possible because we had not mentioned this when making the reservation. They could not be reached by telephone. Neighbors were allowed to order this, but had not indicated this when booking. When I asked what all you can eat meant, a boy serving staff said he didn't know either. He also indicated that he did not know how to order drinks either. Then he brought a large container of bread, which we had not ordered either. Then ordered individual tapas. 5 meatballs 8.50, croquettes 5 pieces, 8.50, mussels 10.50 and soup 5.00. Up to 5 times they brought a dish that was not intended for us, except for the meatballs. They eventually delivered this. There was no bread with the mussels. But stopped ordering and ate at home. Have to say the Sangria was delicious. What poor service and how expensive. So bad. So don't go.

Nice restaurant at the Waalkade in Nijmegen. The staff is friendly and the food is tasty! The tables are a bit small, especially considering that the plates/wooden serving planks are quite big in comparison. We did not have much room to put our drinks.

It was a messy reception, staff were busy discussing (bickering) in the kitchen. The food was not warm and the shrimp croquettes were sticky and mealy, there was also something with squid that didn't taste like anything. I really thought it was a shame that it was so disappointing, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Four of us were there today to redeem a social deal. The service was very slow at the beginning. We waited about half an hour for the first drink order to be taken. The tapas then arrived very hesitantly, dripping onto the table one at a time. The first tapas bark took about 45 minutes including everything. From then on the service would be better because it would be faster. The tapas themselves were very tasty. The social deal was worth it from a purely financial perspective, but whether we'll eat there again is anyone's guess.

Outstanding gourmet. Second to none services.

I had dinner here with my husband last Wednesday and it was so delicious! Never had such delicious Spanish food in the Netherlands before. Friendly service, beautiful open kitchen, nice atmosphere. All in all, highly recommended and we will definitely come back again.

Visited this restaurant on Sunday with 4 people. We waited almost 45 minutes for the soup, then waited a while for some small snacks, we only ate a few because it stuck to your teeth, a tasteless bite. Never experienced anything like this before. Quickly forgotten!

A great Spanish atmosphere with ditto food. Recommended.

As a regular visitor to Spain, I was quite curious about this restaurant. Good service, food above expectations and even the pulpo was very tasty, the wine was also great! (Mas Rabell)

We had a delicious and enjoyable meal here a few times. But last Monday it was so disappointing. That started with the service not greeting upon arrival. Usually there is an older, very friendly man present. Unfortunately not today. The food was very disappointing. Even my daughter found her favorite dish (the tortilla) different and not tasty. The sauce with the albondigas was really very little, maybe it was gone. The carpaccio also terrible. Actually everything was much lower in quality. We enjoyed coming there but I can't imagine trying it again. Shame...

Had a delicious meal with my daughter. First sat on the large terrace, then went inside due to the temperature. Nice menu with delicious dishes. Nice to discover a different tapas twist in Nijmegen. Food is presented with care, looks beautiful! There is a nice atmosphere among the employees, compliments are shared and laughter is shared. It is noticeable that there are new staff, but if something goes wrong at another table, it is resolved promptly. I don't know how it goes when the place is completely packed, but we had a great evening!

During the four-day celebrations, my wife, 2 friends and I settled down on the terrace of mas. Drink after 20 minutes in a wine glass (150ml). This turned out to be a mistake after I spoke to the waiter about it. I also discovered this because the large group of the owner's friends (a group of 8+, in terms of number and average mental age) who were eating there, were regularly provided with enough drinks, food, etc. Anyway, that's solved. Ordered food. We waited 1.5 hours for this and then decided to get something to eat somewhere else. In the meantime, the aforementioned friends/acquaintances had already had 6 rounds of drinks, their snacks, dishes, etc. Isn't it amazing how that works? Paying also turned out to be a special task in Mas. It doesn't seem to me that a bill for 4 people is €2.. euros. When I told the waitress about it, she looked at me like a deer looks at you before you run it over with your car. The owner was literally standing there with his hands in his hair in a kind of unsober panic and I was asked to pay for food that we had not received? They managed to disguise what looked like a very nice tent in a fresh way. The unprofessionalism of the staff and the long waiting time for the food will certainly make us not come back. What can we definitely recommend? throw a lit match inside and hope it catches fire. what....a....garbage tent. After this I went to a hair salon at Portofino in Malvert for: half the money, treated well and nicely, free coke and I didn't even have to pay for the entire snack bar.

Total chaos, got wrong drinks, half the table didn't get any food. We also had a hard time when, after waiting 1.5 hours, we did not want to pay for the meals that we still had not received.

Service bad. Clearly not prepared for the 4-day event! Everything went wrong; wrong drinks, food only after 1.5 hours and half never received. That's all up to that point, but no apologies, even wanted us to pay for the food we didn't receive. Shameful, don't go.

Came to deliver packages and received a cup of coffee as a thank you, which was really tasty. I actually felt welcome right away even without eating anything, definitely recommended ;)

Cozy place on the quay with a great view. Smooth, spontaneous service despite the lack of staff.

The service was terribly unfriendly. Only had drinks, waited 20 minutes for our beers. Shame..

Management leaves much to be desired. They don't look around and they don't seem to know what they are doing. Food arrived half cold, without cutlery. In the end I ate with my fingers. Pity.

Another delicious meal at Braseria Mas! The churros in particular are highly recommended!!

It's been a long time since I've eaten something like this without being in Spain, with the real Spanish taste! Delicious Spanish tapas to share Serve with a delicious Spanish red wine Welcoming and friendly staff And of course, don't forget a view of the Waal So when you visit Nijmegen, definitely worth it 🙏

The atmosphere is cozy but the menu is mediocre and even if 3 dishes cannot be ordered because the purchase will only come tomorrow (Friday), not even Coke Zero, not a second time for us

Rude workers at entrance, told us to close the door (we even didnt open it, it was Open already) 2 times in very loud voice. Very humiliating, never again

Good food! Nice service, but I didn't really get the idea that they had anything to do with Spain or Spanish food.

Service was friendly but not attentive. Bread with aioli consisted of six very thin slices per person laid flat to fill the plate. Food not really tasty. Desserts were the highlight.

Great pinchos and tapas. You feel like you are in Northern Spain. Fine wines and definitely take a vermouth. Nice service!

Had dinner tonight at this cozy new tapas restaurant on the Waalkade! Friendly service and delicious dishes! Highly recommended!
