A very nice, clean, and well-organized McDonald's here in Sittard. The service is quick, the staff is always friendly, and there is a pleasant atmosphere. The food was nice and hot and, also importantly, the order was completely correct. Moreover, the location is easily accessible and there is more than enough parking space. Exactly what you expect from a good McDonald's. Definitely recommended for a quick, tasty bite!

Then I find the atmosphere much nicer in Echt than here.

Often many things are out of stock, and something always goes wrong. Geleen and Echt are better locations.

People, it is McDonald's, not anywhere close to gourmet. They usually get orders right, you don't have to wait that long unless there is a game on, they are quick with special orders. Small parking lot, but it is what it is. Keep in mind that it is right around the corner from one school and at least 2 indoor playgrounds or climbing places.

Update June 2, 2026: this Mac has been newly furnished and not only does it look much better, the chairs and benches are significantly more comfortable. Great! Great McDonald's with very friendly staff. Everything seems well organized to me. Fast service, great!

We placed the order inside at an ordering kiosk. That was easy and quick. It was a clear menu with photos to help you make your choice. The food was good and kept hot. The staff work hard there.

Just served by crew trainer Angela at McDonald's Sittard. Very friendly, the food was complete and nice and hot. After being put on hold for a bit, we received our order with a smile! A pleasant experience and definitely worth repeating. Thanks and see you next time! :-D

Friendly staff. Food good and fresh. We had breakfast there with my brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

I would prefer the fries to be warmer; with the revamped interior, service efficiency is not optimal inside the restaurant during busy times. However, in my opinion, there should be two cash registers, and six screens placed relatively close together cause congestion at the entrance. I understand that the Fast Food chain's formula is always evolving, but more thought needs to be given to one of the most important elements in the restaurant: the screens and the cash register. The staff does their job well and meets the expectations of the franchise. Food is Fast Food, so according to the formula/recipe—it is a matter of personal taste, to put it mildly.

Pleasant location close to the Fortuna Sittard Stadium, customer service is good, and the food is served neatly.

Very clean...very friendly staff...they have gluten-free hamburgers and fries here...which you can't get in Germany...great for people with celiac disease

This chain's location is neat. Unfortunately, a cold wind blows through the store every time the door opens. You'd think the architect would have considered this when designing the store.

I visit this McDonald’s a lot (it’s close to home & open late, don’t judge me) & I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience. I typically drive through, but sometimes will order inside on the screen for take out. Fairly quick in my opinion, especially compared to some other McDonald’s locations in the area. I’ve only had breakfast from here once (egg McMuffins)—they weren’t bad but they were just a tad bland, so I used the butter & jam from my croissant to give it some extra flavor. Otherwise, I usually eat their lunch/dinner items & am always satisfied. There’s been only one time where we struggled a little bit with the language barrier, but all-in-all everyone speaks English quite well, which is really helpful for me since my Dutch is not very good yet :) but this is in my Top 5 favorite McDonalds’ of all time. Beats any McDonald’s in the states, that’s for sure! Genuinely I come here far more often than I’d like to admit. Pleasant experience just about every time! Always treated kindly by the staff which makes such a huge difference. I’m very thankful for the customer service at this location :)

Sometimes it's really dirty there. There seems to be plenty of staff, but they rarely come by to clean everything. The toilet is especially bad. They do have gluten-free burgers, the only one in the area. They handle it well. Recently, we had to wait a very long time, and when we inquired, it turned out something had gone wrong with the gluten-free food, so they were remaking everything. Excellent. As compensation, we were all allowed to choose a McFlurrie of our choice. Very polite of the manager. The cash registers often make an annoying beeping noise.

My friend and I both ordered the Big Mac (without pickles) through table service, and our orders arrived within just two minutes. The burger itself looked delicious, practically exactly as it always looks in the ads. My friend even took a picture of it. A male employee also thought the burger looked great and shared our enthusiasm with the kitchen. We received fantastic service. And above all: it tasted great! P.S. Give this man a raise or a pat on the back for his amazing character :).

It arrived 15 minutes after I ordered. It was crowded when we went. Young guys were working. The shop was clean.

I ordered a double cheeseburger and got a regular cheeseburger. It's a bit of a shame because the bread-to-burger ratio isn't right with the regular cheeseburger, and the whole bun is a bit too dry.

1 star because the receipt printer isn't working properly. You always say that. Staff say yes, there's nothing they can do about it. This is very annoying. Receipts are always illegible. I've never received a clear receipt; this always happens.

The interior is nicer and especially cleaner than the McDonald's in Geleen. Hence the 4 stars. Otherwise, it's what you'd expect from a McDonald's, period. Great for a quick bite to eat.

McDonald's Sittard is a very busy location. It's just outside the city center (which doesn't have a McDonald's) and near the Fortuna Sittard stadium. This often results in large groups, crowds, and congestion around the ordering kiosks. The food is good and the wait time is acceptable, although it's best to avoid it between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM (especially the drive-thru) as it gets really busy then. Restrooms are hit and miss in terms of hygiene, and the parking lot is often crowded and chaotic. Many cars will have suffered scratches while parking due to the awkwardly placed boulders and abrupt turns.

I think the food arrives much faster since the renovation, which is great! One thing I do find a shame is that no one takes the tray away when something new is brought to the table. Everything else looks great after the renovation, but I do miss a quiet spot. Now you're basically sitting in the middle of the hall, with everyone else, and sometimes there are children screaming or crying. There used to be a separate area where you could have more peace and quiet, and I miss that now. It makes it harder to sit quietly and enjoy.

Ordered the Veggie McChicken menu (not large). When I got home, it turned out to be the regular McChicken. Besides this menu, I also had a medium milkshake. Totaling just under €17. Is McDonald's so expensive these days, or did they make a mistake with that too? This location won't be seeing me again.

Sorry, but just drive to the McDonald's in Echt!!! They know what a shambles is!!! And a normal portion of food! As someone sitting above you from your office, your staff doesn't deserve to receive all these complaints because of your invented protocols. If you want value for your money, go to another McDonald's.

Ordered through Uber Eats. The delivery driver waited 45 minutes at the restaurant for the order to be ready. From the time he left until he reached me, it took 5 minutes, yet the entire order was cold. Furthermore, part of the order was missing. You pay a premium price through Uber Eats: €27 for a menu and a few chicken nuggets. The least I expect is for the food to be fresh and for the order to be complete. Not too much to ask, right? Especially considering that for €10 more, you could eat at a real restaurant. I tried to resolve this through Uber Eats customer service, but they were completely ineffective. This is the last time I order from McDonald's and through Uber Eats.

Good place still fast food tho but still tasty

Just went through the McDonald's drive-thru. I ordered 6 spicy nuggets. I got a box of 6 with only 4 nuggets in it. Sorry, but I'm not paying for that.

First of all, I don't understand the many negative reviews here. Equipment can break down, and where people work, mistakes are made, so even after checking, mistakes can happen. I went through the drive-through last week and experienced this myself. A burger from the menu was missing from my order. That can happen, and we didn't check before leaving and only discovered it when we got home. Frustrating, but everyone makes mistakes sometimes. I then filed a complaint about it on their website. I received a very polite response and apology from management. I was also offered a voucher as compensation, which I find very thoughtful. That's why I'm giving the review 5 stars because, they were polite, and even though the burger was forgotten, so be it, we didn't starve. Sincerely, Thom Hansen

What a crappy restaurant.... Three times in a row, an incomplete takeout order...this time, two large fries are missing... The staff doesn't check anything...they stand there like a bunch of zombies... Oh dear, more than 10 customers...help, it's busy...No, this was my last time here... I hope they'll compensate me for this...be a bit more customer-focused...

The food is fine and the time it takes is okay although it could be improved as well but the really annoying thing js, that the printing machine in the self service food order is always(!!!) empty. Please run it properly or allow a QR-App interface so that it’s send to my McDonald’s app…

I've received cold food several times now. Too much stuff has been waiting for too long. I'm done with McDonald's for now. Incidentally, when the food is nice and hot, you get what you expect.

Great, paying €3.80 for a McFlurry that's not even half full. Back to the cash register, three employees say: "This is protocol from above, we can't do this anymore." Absolutely scandalous; this is criminal behavior.

Everywhere in the area and furthermore delivery people for Uber Eats. But here always unavailable. Already been able to cancel order 3 times via Uber. Rush hours are no excuse, Geleen is 3 times as busy and they still do it. Incompetent empty heads.

My first review ever, and I hope it will be the last. I ordered from this McDonald’s three times, once with delivery. The first time was delivery, and we didn’t get the Minecraft meal, only the burger. The second time, when I ordered takeaway, I didn’t get two burgers — unfortunately, I only checked the order once I got home. The third time, I checked the order right away, went home, opened the tortilla, and this time McDonald’s tricked me again — there was no chicken in the tortilla. I’m starting to feel like it’s personal.

I point out to the manager as a disabled person on a scooter in the disabled spot. Thank you for all the incomprehensible, empathy-less responses I received. I got emotional so the boy who owned the scooter walked by frustrated. We explained to him that he could leave the scooter at home because we were already inside and we were concerned about the manager's disrespectful response. This year's exclusivity award goes to Mc Donalds Sittard.

At least 4 times in a row that the order via Uber Eats is incomplete and cold. Is there no one checking whether an order is complete? I strongly advise against ordering via Uber Eats.

A lot of time order was no complete.there is complete mess.

Because every eatery gets a second chance, let's try it again. If I ever eat there again, I will immediately check whether everything is there. 2 cheeseburgers and forgot all the sauces. Fries were cold. (Not cooled down from 5 minutes of driving but really cold). Next time just go to the local entrepreneur.

Honestly, this McDonald’s was disappointing. The service was super slow, even though it wasn’t busy, and my order still came out wrong. The fries were cold and soggy, and the burger looked like it had been thrown together in a rush. The dining area wasn’t very clean either—tables were sticky, and there was trash left around. The staff didn’t seem very friendly or interested in helping, which didn’t make the experience any better. I get that it’s fast food, but this was below even basic expectations. Definitely not in a hurry to come back here anytime soon.

Food was really tasty, also a very tasty milkshake, nothing to complain about, only the lady who helped me was very rude, unfortunately, it was a real shame that it did not make our outing, which was supposed to be very fun and special for the little girl, very enjoyable.
