McDonald's in Wijk 05 Geleen

I can't stand lettuce. I pointed this out at the cash register, saying I wanted a McCrispy without it. When my order finally arrived, it had no lettuce whatsoever, so I went back and asked for a new one without it! I finally got it after another 10 minutes, and after a few bites, I started itching all over. There was still lettuce under the sauce, very hard to see, but it was still there. THIS IS NOT ON!

Way too busy we were there around 12:30 toilets were dirty

Drove all the way from Belgium to this McDonald's today. It was freezing. We sat there with our winter coats on the whole time. There were other people who even kept their hats on. The food was ice cold in no time. Absolutely not worth the money. Hopefully they'll do something about it!

On the way back from the hospital, I ordered a McD's "eat in": 1 large cappuccino 1 Big Tasty Received: 1 large cappuccino "to go" with a lid you can't get off + a bag of lukewarm Big Tasty sauce that was so thick it oozed out of the cardboard and even took the lettuce with it for fun. I was tired and let it happen, but now I'm really angry. I won't be coming back here for a while. Yuck.

Used the drive-thru! A last resort! It's McDonald's, after all!

Eating isn't always consistent. But there is improvement.

The staff was friendly. My burger was cold and I got a new one right away. The manager also resolved the issue promptly when I ordered the wrong drink. When I tried to order at the kiosk and scan the app, I was told it wasn't working? That it could only be used at the counter? Huh? Isn't it supposed to be scanned yourself? Never experienced that before.

Dirty fries, and the hamburger and Angus burger were also disgusting. Very friendly service, though.

Tested the drive today... Debit card payments are impossible, and it's very strange that this organization doesn't have a backup PIN card. The trash cans outside are overflowing, and definitely not full from a day out. The entire parking lot is covered in trash. Such a shame.

Just got two strawberry milkshakes and two hamburgers from the Drive-Thru. I didn't feel like it, but I should have returned it. The milkshakes had absolutely no flavor. The strawberry sauce was nowhere to be found. I spent almost 9 euros flushing it down the drain. I can't believe what a mess.

Clean McDonald's. They forgot our sharing chicken nuggets box, but after we asked, it was immediately brought to our table.

I'm not normally a McDonald's fan, but I stumbled upon this place to take a break. The food isn't really my thing, but the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The trash bins were overflowing and weren't being emptied. The order was delivered fairly quickly. It was quite busy.

We were about to place two orders at the drive-through, but they were refused. They told us it was only one order per car. The store manager, Heather, was rude. We had to send each other a "tikkie"! They only took one order per car. They're definitely not following the rules, because two men walked through the drive-through ahead of us, and they still got their orders. The McDonald's in Geleen is terrible!

Bad employees are not polite to customers

We ended a fun evening with friends by stopping by the drive-thru. The so-called manager (Heather, as she called herself) let young people order through the drive-thru (which isn't even allowed by the rules due to safety regulations she should have known, working in that role), but taking two separate orders was unacceptable. (Which is allowed by the rules). The rules allow separate orders as long as you notify us immediately. We did, but for our own convenience, we were treated unprofessionally and simply sent away. She should find another job if she's too lazy to do her job properly. What an attitude! It's truly embarrassing that someone like that works in your business.

This morning I drove to McDonald's and when I got there, all the egg mc muffins were "sold out". I've never made them before!

If you like McDonald's this is a very good place.

This is the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. The burger bun was sooo dry that I had to take a sip of my drink for every bite. There was trash on the floor next to the bins. People don’t pick up when things fall off their trays. This experience definitely put me off Mac Donald’s for a while.

The second star goes to the lady at the coffee counter; otherwise, it would have only been one. The burgers were as bad as ever (what do kids see at McDonald's??), the slide was closed, no explanation given, but the rest of the playground was open. Less than five minutes later, the manager came by to say the entire playground was closed 🙄 During the summer holidays. Because there was no cleaning staff 🤦‍♀️

Complaint is not taken seriously.

You come here for ice cream and a manager yells at someone in your group, saying, "Get lost, you're not getting any food here." What terrible service! I also noticed this manager was harassing the women he works with.

The food is always hot and the staff is friendly

The place is nice and interesting, well-maintained, with a large patio, McDonald's, ample parking, delicious food, and good service. The tables now have numbers, so there's nothing to complain about, but not all of them, and some require a number from the machine. 😂 But that's a minor detail; otherwise, it's okay. Fast, efficient, and delicious.

A standard McDonald's with the standard menu. The only downside is that they had absolutely no gluten-free options. We haven't been used to that from McDonald's in a while.

The food is the same at every McDonald's. And the atmosphere is terrible everywhere.

I don't understand why it's not possible to keep the restaurant open longer than 11 p.m. on weekends. You can eat your meal in your car. In Germany, most restaurants are open until 2 a.m. on weekends. The quality of the menu was otherwise good, but if I have to eat it outside or in the car, then of course there's no atmosphere.

Drive: The screens are off. Reason: "energy saving." How am I supposed to know what I can order? At the same time, all the lights are on, including the McDonald's logo. Ridiculous.

Great McDonald's. It was very busy, but we were helped quickly. We ordered takeaway cups, which cost extra. They are the same as the dishwasher-safe cups. You have to cross the road to get to the outdoor playground equipment, which I don't think is very safe.

Delicious, but our fries had no salt. And we came to McDonald's for the delicious fries. The fries weren't very good. The burgers were just fine.

The waiter and waitress are very cool and welcoming. Fast service.

Today around 4:00 PM, I bought a "big tasty menu." I was standing there waiting for my food and was being laughed at by two foreign (Muslim) boys wearing yellow shirts. One was packaging the food, and the other was bringing it to the counter. They were throwing paper towels at each other (very unhygienic, by the way) to get attention and signal to each other to laugh at me so I'd see it too and feel bad about it or something. I pretended not to see it because I wanted them to keep going so hopefully a manager would see it, but they were too busy to pay attention to these two clowns, unfortunately, which makes sense. I'm sure the camera will show how unprofessional they were. Hopefully, this will be looked into and these two can be addressed. I assume McDonald's doesn't condone this behavior? Or are they being instructed to chase away customers, and we should be wary of McDonald's Geleen? Hopefully not.

Had to wait half an hour for a few spicy chicken nuggets. Now I'm normally pretty patient but this made no sense especially considering the fact that the restaurant was almost empty. After asking twice how much longer it would take, it was finally brought after half an hour. They were warm though.

A quick stop for a delicious peach milkshake and a McFlurry.

Hundreds of flies inside. We left even though we wanted to eat there but the flies were even on our cups of drinks. I didn't want to take the drinks with me anymore. Ugh, a disgrace.

Floor is covered in swag and there are many flies. Tables are dirty.

The best part is that the parking lot is spacious and there are very soft and comfortable seats. There are also a lot of planes inside. The bathroom isn't very clean. Like all McDonald's branches in the Netherlands, there aren't many options, so the app doesn't work as well as in other countries. The general layout is old and a bit dirty.

A bit dirty inside: it wasn't busy at 7:30 pm, and still most tables were DIRTY and sticky and covered in sauce residue. In several places in the restaurant fries on the floor, while the staff was chatting and relaxing.

Toilets never seen so dirty anywhere. Blood on the sink of the disabled toilet, then visited the ladies toilet, the entire toilet seat everything was covered in urine, un-believably so dirty. I didn't even place an order and left the branch

I waited 25 minutes for my order even though there were only about five people ahead. Half of the self-service machines were out of order, which added to the delay and confusion. There’s no table service, so customers are left standing around the counter waiting, which creates unnecessary congestion. Overall, the service felt inefficient and poorly managed. I hope you can address these issues to improve the experience.

Ordered two things, chicken nuggets and a triple choc cookie. Paid, got the bag, drove home.. no cookie. No idea how they managed to screw up an order of 2 items, but won't be stopping here again.

Last time I went there I had cold fries and a lukewarm quarter pounder, only the coke was good

really very strange. I asked for a double quarter pounder with big mc sauce. this was not possible, not even if I paid extra for it. but what was possible was to buy big mc sauce for 2.50. really scandalous! how much effort is it to put another sauce on my sandwich. no you are obliged to buy a bottle of big mc sauce. I really have no words for this. so the largest fast food chain in the world forbids you to put another sauce on your sandwich you are only ALLOWED to pay extra extra extra so that you can put it on yourself. really a strange world we live in.

Sorry man... I really appreciate the friendliness of the staff, they try their best and stay clean and helpful. But the state of the place itself really disappointed me. The windows were covered in mud, and the tables were really dirty — it just felt unhygienic. I understand that it can be busy, and that customers also play a role in how clean something stays, but this was really sub-par. Too bad, because with a little more attention to hygiene the experience here could be so much better, yuck.

Very dirty, soggy fries, unfriendly staff

Check altijd de bestelling voordat je weggaat in Geleen is de tip! Ik ben het vergeten, en zoveelste keer dat het niet goed is. Was een redelijk makkelijke bestelling; 1 cappuchino maar er iskoffie meegegeven die niet eens te drinken was.

Fries were limp and lukewarm to cold. We also ordered a mckroket, which barely had any sauce on it. The bitterballen looked awful. The contents were already leaking out and they seemed to have been fried with other products, as there were other remains on them. In addition, they tasted as if they had been there all day.

Bad McDonald's. Not recommended!

Very friendly staff, order quickly received, and food is actually fresh, not sitting past the allowed times like other mcd. Every other store gives me a dry quarter pounder but here it's juicy and warm. The teens who hang around can be a bit much is my only criticism. I also noticed a lady who took kids one by one to get free ice cream cones and make them themselves too. You just don't see that kind of service these days, really a kid friendly place. And it has a play place which seem to also be disappearings at other mcd.

Things can never go well here... AGAIN we didn't get a burger... of course you only find out at home when the rest of the family is eating... worthless staff still too stupid to put a burger in a bag.

Staff walks past you 6 times while you have been ready to order for 15 minutes. That tall, nerdy manager is more interested in his female staff than in running the business. The floor is slippery and sticky at the checkout area. and then you come home with your small order of mc flurry and vanilla milkshake and then they also gave you the wrong milkshake... how can you get an order of 2 items wrong?? the worst McDonalds ever!

Clean toilets, plenty of staff and the food was also properly prepared. Completely sufficient for a quick pit stop.

It was good and better than the branch in Belgium, where the cheeseburger was very greasy.

Disappointed weak food and really too expensive

Expensive and very unpleasant. You used to go to McDonald's with your kids for an outing. Now the staff tells you that other guests are bothered by the fact that someone is excited about a happy meal.

What you can expect from a McDonalds, period. Great for grabbing a quick bite (food).

The slowest McDonald's I've ever been to. There were seven employees and only five guests in the restaurant. However, the staff preferred to do other things than serve their guests. After waiting 20 minutes for a small menu I decided to leave and ask for my money back. I've been here several times and each time the waiting time has been extremely long. But today you have upset me so much that I will definitely never come back.

HORRIBLE!! Sunday April 6, 2025 I waited more than 40 minutes and eventually asked for a refund. This is what you call a fast food "restaurant". All the youngsters walked around with a smart answer when you asked after half an hour (!) when it was our turn. Manager was also young, but was the only one who gave some kind of apology. That one star is even too much!!

The Minecraft meal was gone, the cookies were still frozen and took 1 hour, the pop dots were gone and that shitty sundae didn't taste like anything

Went for dinner last Monday, March 31 at McDonal's Geleen. With four people you will spend more than €55, which is normally known and is not a problem. The children like to go to the Mac every now and then. But what a run-down, dirty restaurant. Overflowing waste bins causing rubbish to litter the ground. Tables full of food and drink remains. Staff who can't help but smile. Compared to other McDonalds restaurants, this is really the dirtiest and worst in NL in my opinion.

Food as you expect at a McDonald. Unfortunately, many young people come from abroad who see it more as a place to hang out. In addition, the trays were empty and the plates that are needed if you pay via the screen.

In one order there were 3 errors with our food, 2 times a product was missed. Then ordered again and we received the wrong product.

Usual MC Donalds style and food... But it is in a good position if you are driving away from Maastricht, it is less crowded
