The food was tasty and it wasn't too crowded.

Filed a complaint via email a couple of weeks ago, also tried calling a few times but got no answer each time…

Ordered two milkshakes and, since the weather was good, sat outside with a number provided. After 15 minutes, I went to check where the milkshakes were, whereupon a kid of about 15, without looking at my receipt, said: “You can just go sit outside, the order is still coming.” After 30 minutes, the same kid saw me and quickly walked on with other orders. The same two cups were still waiting for someone, whom the manager glanced at briefly and told the kid: “Just make new ones.” After half an hour, we finally had two milkshakes and zero service….

Yesterday, September 25th); The menus we ordered were really not warm; it was more like a cold buffet. Afterwards, we ordered a soft ice cream anyway, which was brought to us, but there was no protective cardboard around the cookie dough cup for hygiene. The tables and floors weren't exactly nice and clean either. Upon leaving, I went to take another look at the ice cream, but everything was being done without gloves. There was even one of the staff members who was just wiping her nose and then happily went back to making her order. I'm sorry, but I find this very unhygienic. I feel that you don't have proper control over your staff; that really should be different.

It's McDonald's, that really says it all. They really should clean more often.

The sign said it would open at 9:00, but by 9:20 the door was packed with people and it still wasn't open. I don't know what the staff inside were doing. I even saw one guy outside making himself coffee. It was ridiculous.

Fast food isn't so fast anymore. Also, the sundaes were only half-filled.

It was no really clear and a lot of rats outside need more to clean

It was too expensive to justify buying anything at double UK prices for exactly the same meat-free rubbish. Follow the big 'Q' instead! Instead we used the only decent thing about this location - the toilet.

The playground was unfortunately closed due to damage. The rest was as in most branches, perfectly fine!

The food was fine. I received the wrong milkshake, which they made a bit of a fuss about... eventually resolved. Otherwise, neat and clean.

They don't have good hearing; we ordered two McDlurries but only got one (had to drive through the Mac drive-thru or order inside). The fries are soggy. The Big Mac was cold and the ice cream was warm.

Every time I travel, I visit McDonald's. Note: One of the waitresses mixed up my order with someone else's without confirming who we ordered. Unfortunately.

Despite the crowds, we were helped well and quickly. The number of baby seats is a bit limited. And the regular chairs attached to the tables are inconvenient. Also, the sofa in the separate room is completely broken. Otherwise, everything is perfectly fine.

Nice restaurant well located close to the highway.

Maastricht, Geusselt, and Gronsveld could learn a thing or two from this; McDonald's Geleen is a Michelin-starred restaurant compared to Maastricht/Gronsveld!

The burgers were inedible, the McKroket had a very hard bun, and the Chili Chicken was flattened; I think someone had stepped on it.

Extremely dirty when we were there. Toilets not clean, liquids in the hallways, and overflowing trash cans with lots of flies. Food was as you would expect from McDonald's, OK.

Disgusting! What a filthy McDonald's. All the free tables were downright filthy, trash cans completely full. There were even trays stacked next to them. Flies everywhere. Asked if they would clean the table, which they did, but without soapy water. Never again.

Nice ice cream. The receipt machine was just broken.

It's a shame that no napkin or straws are provided with the meal. You have to get them yourself.

Great, a McDonald's with table delivery. Very tidy and a large patio. Close to the highway. The restroom is so-so. The double-lane drive-thru is a real rarity.

Filthy and dirty, wasn't cleaned up, tables were full but staff walked past them three times. It has really gone downhill. It used to be neater, there was always a woman walking around who noticed it.

It was closed, and you had to ask at the window and wait a long time.

Sorry to have to say this, we walked around the entire restaurant to find a clean table (saw other visitors doing this) but practically all the tables were dirty, wads of paper and fries on the floor, and trash cans overflowing, regret having already ordered. Plus point: the food was good, toilet was reasonably clean.

Excellent, but there are some shortcomings in the service. For example, when I ordered food for myself and my family to eat at the restaurant, I was surprised to find the food brought in takeaway bags. When I asked why, they said they didn't have clean trays. And when I opened the bags to eat the salad, I couldn't find a fork or napkin.

A bit run-down. It's not necessarily the restaurant's fault, but more the people who treat the staff like a cleaning crew. The mess wasn't cleaned up, so there was soon a mess on the tables all around.

It was quite a mess in this M. And chaotic, but oh well... the food was top-notch again!

Worthless, tables were dirty and trash cans overflowing, asked for the table to be cleaned before the food arrived which didn't happen! Still had the nerve to ask for a refund and go home to cook Angry and very rude staff who also address you as "bro" No words for it

Google says they are open until 3:00 AM, but they are already closed at 2:30 AM, if not earlier.

I ordered a coffee to drink inside. Despite ordering at the counter for dine‑in, my coffee was served in a paper cup. When I politely asked for a plastic cup instead, I was told I had to pay a €1 deposit because “people steal the cups.” The staff member who served me seemed offended just because I asked to change the cup, which felt disrespectful and unnecessary. At McDonald’s in Sittard, customers are not treated like potential thieves — the attitude there is completely different and much more respectful. Please improve your approach towards customers. A simple request should not result in unpleasant treatment.

A McDonald's like many others, with the familiar range of treats. We were there for a full breakfast, and that was still quite digestible, although the rolls were rather on the tough side. We are used to something different, so we just hope it is a one-off disappointment. The fresh croissant, however, was fine. All in all, it tasted good. Two full breakfasts cost just over 17 euros together.

There were at least 2,000 flies inside; they were everywhere. The food didn't taste good, and there were dead flies lying everywhere as well.

Is it difficult to quickly check if someone has made adjustments to their order???

It is swarming with flies... awful. Unfortunately, we had already ordered, otherwise we would have left immediately 🤮

Very friendly staff, order quickly received, and food is actually fresh, not sitting past the allowed times like other mcd. Every other store gives me a dry quarter pounder but here it's juicy and warm. The teens who hang around can be a bit much is my only criticism. I also noticed a lady who took kids one by one to get free ice cream cones and make them themselves too. You just don't see that kind of service these days, really a kid friendly place. And it has a play place which seem to also be disappearings at other mcd.

Update June 2026: it doesn't seem to interest them at all, because the restaurant is still very dirty. The self-service ordering machines have been broken regularly for years, and they don't issue receipts. I pointed this out three years ago, and it is still the case. It is time for a complete renovation like they did in Sittard. Update November 2024: 2 stars less than before because it was incredibly dirty again. Trash cans so full that a mountain of trash was piled on top, the table was smeared with filth, and that's not even mentioning the floor... On the positive side, the staff is very friendly and they work quickly. It can get very busy. I find the decor very uninviting, and it is due for replacement again. The McDrive, however, is great; I am always served quickly.

Service is getting worse. Multiple customers are receiving incorrect orders... if the food is cold, you get the comment: "Just heat it up in the oven at home, right?"

1 star — and that is being generous. McDonald’s Geleen was not a meal, but a culinary disaster distorted by fluorescent lighting and cardboard disappointment with sauce stains. The McCrispy was so limp that “crispy” is actually false advertising. The sauce was everywhere except where it belonged, the packaging looked abused, and the entire tray looked like the kitchen had given up on it too. Dirty, messy, uninterested, and way too expensive for this sad deep-fried flop. This wasn't fast food; this was regret in a box. The atmosphere? Just as sad as the tray. Everything felt sticky, rushed, and uninterested. If this is the standard, then the bar hasn't been set low, but buried underground. McDonald’s Geleen: thanks for the reminder that being hungry is sometimes better than eating..

The climbing frame with slide on the terrace has been closed for almost a year. There is absolutely nothing left for the children to play for. Next door, in the enclosed (glass) room specially set up for a birthday party, the sofa was cut up with a knife and nothing has been done about it for weeks. It seems as if 0 euros is being invested in maintaining the place.

The ordering system does not work. It is not possible to scan the bonus code. I do not recommend it if there is an alternative. They do not issue receipts, you remember the last two digits and wait. I waited 15 minutes for one hamburger and wings with a cola

Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff who assist in a professional manner. The restaurant is a very atmospheric and cozy place. It was nice to have been here.

It took a very long time for the food to be brought to a McDonald's.

I can't stand lettuce. I pointed this out at the cash register, saying I wanted a McCrispy without it. When my order finally arrived, it had no lettuce whatsoever, so I went back and asked for a new one without it! I finally got it after another 10 minutes, and after a few bites, I started itching all over. There was still lettuce under the sauce, very hard to see, but it was still there. THIS IS NOT ON!

Food is good nice place but the toilet of the men was not very clean but the food was good👍

Drove all the way from Belgium to this McDonald's today. It was freezing. We sat there with our winter coats on the whole time. There were other people who even kept their hats on. The food was ice cold in no time. Absolutely not worth the money. Hopefully they'll do something about it!

On the way back from the hospital, I ordered a McD's "eat in": 1 large cappuccino 1 Big Tasty Received: 1 large cappuccino "to go" with a lid you can't get off + a bag of lukewarm Big Tasty sauce that was so thick it oozed out of the cardboard and even took the lettuce with it for fun. I was tired and let it happen, but now I'm really angry. I won't be coming back here for a while. Yuck.

Used the drive-thru! A last resort! It's McDonald's, after all!

Eating isn't always consistent. But there is improvement.

The staff was friendly. My burger was cold and I got a new one right away. The manager also resolved the issue promptly when I ordered the wrong drink. When I tried to order at the kiosk and scan the app, I was told it wasn't working? That it could only be used at the counter? Huh? Isn't it supposed to be scanned yourself? Never experienced that before.

Dirty fries, and the hamburger and Angus burger were also disgusting. Very friendly service, though.

Tested the drive today... Debit card payments are impossible, and it's very strange that this organization doesn't have a backup PIN card. The trash cans outside are overflowing, and definitely not full from a day out. The entire parking lot is covered in trash. Such a shame.

Just got two strawberry milkshakes and two hamburgers from the Drive-Thru. I didn't feel like it, but I should have returned it. The milkshakes had absolutely no flavor. The strawberry sauce was nowhere to be found. I spent almost 9 euros flushing it down the drain. I can't believe what a mess.

I'm not normally a McDonald's fan, but I stumbled upon this place to take a break. The food isn't really my thing, but the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Clean McDonald's. They forgot our sharing chicken nuggets box, but after we asked, it was immediately brought to our table.

We were about to place two orders at the drive-through, but they were refused. They told us it was only one order per car. The store manager, Heather, was rude. We had to send each other a "tikkie"! They only took one order per car. They're definitely not following the rules, because two men walked through the drive-through ahead of us, and they still got their orders. The McDonald's in Geleen is terrible!

This morning I drove to McDonald's and when I got there, all the egg mc muffins were "sold out". I've never made them before!

Bad employees are not polite to customers

We ended a fun evening with friends by stopping by the drive-thru. The so-called manager (Heather, as she called herself) let young people order through the drive-thru (which isn't even allowed by the rules due to safety regulations she should have known, working in that role), but taking two separate orders was unacceptable. (Which is allowed by the rules). The rules allow separate orders as long as you notify us immediately. We did, but for our own convenience, we were treated unprofessionally and simply sent away. She should find another job if she's too lazy to do her job properly. What an attitude! It's truly embarrassing that someone like that works in your business.

If you like McDonald's this is a very good place.

This is the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. The burger bun was sooo dry that I had to take a sip of my drink for every bite. There was trash on the floor next to the bins. People don’t pick up when things fall off their trays. This experience definitely put me off Mac Donald’s for a while.

The second star goes to the lady at the coffee counter; otherwise, it would have only been one. The burgers were as bad as ever (what do kids see at McDonald's??), the slide was closed, no explanation given, but the rest of the playground was open. Less than five minutes later, the manager came by to say the entire playground was closed 🙄 During the summer holidays. Because there was no cleaning staff 🤦‍♀️
