The cleaning leaves a lot to be desired.

There's a nice, clean toilet and plenty of toilet paper.

We had a nice meal and were able to sit quietly for a while. It was a nice, quiet McDonald's. It was noisy outside due to teenagers, making the parking lot busy. (But maybe this was a one-off.)

I came in through the door, and then I saw Teun sitting there. I think he is a regular customer.

A lot of young people are hanging around the building, which isn't really pleasant.

I didn’t receive half of my order

It was quiet when we were there. Everything looked clean.

Deep-fried maggots as fries, 2 sponges with a leather patch in between as a burger... And that for a lot of money. (And that doesn't only apply to Winschoten) The only upsides: The strawberry shake and the Big Tasty with bacon

Spotlessly clean. At least when we were there. A staff member was constantly cleaning tables and everything. Great service. They even serve organic milk with the kids' meal. Unfortunately, that's no longer offered in Germany. Top!

Well arranged Everything went smoothly

Incompetent staff, the food went around the terrace twice because they didn't know what to do... the fries were cold and the burgers poorly topped.

The milkshake was so bad, milk and sickly sweet.

The food is tasty But quite pricey

The toilet is extraordinarily filthy, the smell is sickening, there are used sanitary pads and pee on the floor and very old food or spit stuffed into the corner, and the food here is not the very best.

We had a good meal, and it was nice and cozy, but it was busy.

Super friendly staff. Very clean, including the restrooms. All employees are also very child-friendly.

Just placed an order and guess what? Ordered a McFlurry without M&Ms, and what do you get? M&Ms. We got home and it turned out the order was completely wrong. You order chicken wings and then you get McNuggets. And while it may be written on the board what you ordered, it was changed every other minute so you couldn't see it at all anymore. We won't be coming back here.

Great helpful staff, tasty as usual, fast action

Very friendly staff who do know that you address customers formally, unlike at some other McDonald's branches.

The lady provides excellent service to everyone and is always busy.

I received my order very late and I am very angry.

In the morning the service is really slow, I want to stop for breakfast some mornings but it always takes me 20/30 minutes even if the restaurant is empty, on the other hand the food is good and with the standard quality

6 out of 12 chicken nuggets are filthy. Everything is dirty: ceiling, floor, wall, toilet, kitchen, chairs, and tables. Regarding the atmosphere, first take a good look around at the mess. Drinks are 80 percent ice. The playground equipment is almost always closed. Have them fix it. Service is often friendly, but often not. I NEVER WANT TO COME HERE AGAIN, but I have no choice. I'D RATHER GO TO VEENDAM THAN THIS FILTHY SNACK. Plenty of places, there are hardly any people anyway.

So you think you're going to pop through the drive-thru with the kids on a Saturday afternoon, and yet another order is incomplete, sauces you paid for don't get, a Big Mac that just fell into its box, "Make do with it," and fries that are just cold. You're asked to park in the parking lot, and an employee literally comes and throws everything in, "Oh, sorry," you're told... well, I'm done with this, what a disgrace.

I ordered a strawberry flaky and got a caramel flaky. I'm angry. (Just kidding, but not funny.)

January 16, 2026, around 7:30 PM, I went to McDrive and ordered Double Big Tasty. When you get home, you get a box of double. With only meat, I don't think it's fair that you pay for it. Jeroen doesn't like that, I know. Too bad I can't upload a photo. Too bad.🥴👋

Just a good Mac. Very fast. Table service. There's also a McDrive. Close to a shopping center.

I had a Happy meal I opened up my Cheeseburger took a bite and the next thing I see is a Hair a long brown hair right in my Cheeseburger I was about to throw up because of the insane amount of disgust I was in not only that the fries were awful I've never had McDonald's fries this bad they were Floppy cold unsalted and tasted like I took a bite in a raw potato the apple slices had my lips swelling up the only good thing was the coke cherry zero as well as the workers they were friendly and gave me a replacement burger that was cold very bad experience

Not good at all, I waited an hour for my food!!! I didn't like that at all, because when my food arrived it was cold. It gave me diarrhea, and I threw up from my cheeseburger with the apple turnover.

I went to this McDonald's today and was very disappointed with the hygiene standards. There was no way to wash your hands before eating. The soap dispenser in the restroom was empty or broken, there were no paper towels, and the hand dryer wasn't working either. Overall, it felt very unhygienic – especially in a restaurant where you eat so much with your hands. For a large chain like McDonald's, I expect the restrooms to be regularly inspected and maintained.

I went to McDrive around 1:35 a.m. on Saturday to order a small snack. They said they were closed at 1:00 a.m., but they were happily waiting until 2:00 a.m. I really don't think this is a good look for the company.

Toilet should be checked every hour but unfortunately not they were super dirtiest.

Opening times are completely wrong

It's been worse; I think they pay more attention to customers. Otherwise, it's a MC. Fast food restaurant, staff is helpful, but ordering via a post creates more distance between customer and staff, which is rather impersonal...

Her food was cold. I go there to please my grandchild. Otherwise, I'd never go back.

McDonald's isn't what it used to be. I thought I'd give it another try. Last time, I was already disappointed after having to drink two sips of coffee from a paper cup, and the spout looked absolutely unappetizing. I went back for a McFlurry, hoping they still used plastic spatulas, but unfortunately! Ugh, I can still taste that disgusting thing after half an hour. Oh, and the McFlurry was just over a spoonful (depth-wise), which is a third of the size of the cup. For €4.10! If you'd used €0.10 to give a decent portion, it might have been acceptable. Bad McDonald's, you're losing customers. More than you realize with these poor choices.

Friendly service and delicious food

Terrible restaurant, I've had this happen several times when I order takeout and it's missing something from my order...that's how I earn my money too.

ZUM KOT*EN In a hurry to get something warm in the stomach, I ordered it from McDrive. It's a big joke what you get for your money. I went for Menu McChicken Old Amsterdam. Instead of chicken I got one of those hamburgers, which are dried out and taste like a SHOE SOLE. Meat floated in the sauce, with chunks of unchewable lettuce. 1 sliver.. 2 shavings.. 3 shavings of cheese... BAH! And the fries way too salty. At the snack bar they save on salt, at MAC you get 3 x as much salt on the fries. Staff is snarky and therefore not nice. REALLY WHAT A SHAME. I don't need a receipt... I DON'T WANT TO EAT SUCH NASTY MESS ANYMORE

Almost every time I visited, the order was incomplete... from sauce to fries or burgers. A gift missing from the Happy Meal was not accepted. My daughter had to go to the counter with her menu, and then it was almost cold by the time she could eat it. The staff, with a few exceptions, were friendly and helpful.

Hit or miss, just like any other McDonald's.

Not for me, the food there is not to my taste.

We recently visited the store for breakfast and found the restaurant to be very clean and pleasant. The staff were friendly, the food was tasty and the service was fast.

There's always something wrong with every order. Either they don't give it to you (McDrive) or they misunderstand you. Sure, you get a confirmation on the sign, but they talk you through it so quickly that you don't even dare to make a correction. (Inside) There's also no pleasant interaction during a visit. Sure, you don't have to engage in a full conversation with a customer, but making them feel wanted can also be done briefly and effectively. The food always seems like a jumbled mess, nicely arranged but always crooked or just a mess of onions. As soon as you get the food, it's already lukewarm. All in all, a horror. Luckily, they have a slide outside; the kids would give it 3 stars.

McDrive and then you order a side salad. It was sold out. Yep. Every time I ask, it's sold out. What a load of rubbish. I think the person behind the counter had just started. Couldn't find anything at the register. Had bad luck with the staff again. For the umpteenth time. I'll definitely go to Veendam next time. 😡

Great McDonald's, the food was good. It was clean and tidy. I'd eat here more often. It's a shame our order wasn't complete and we had to order it again before we could eat it; this happens far too often at every McDonald's. The food gets cold too quickly, and you don't really have time for it. I also think McDonald's is getting very expensive. Another annoying thing was the troublemakers who ruined the atmosphere by making a lot of noise and throwing food. The staff can't handle that, since most of them are children.

The burgers 🍔 didn't taste that good and the fries 🍟 were too salty. The banana milkshake was great.

Despite ordering at the terminal, I received the wrong drinks and dips. The fries were cold, soggy, and unseasoned. A complaint was met with a shrug, perhaps because the staff doesn't speak German.

They forgot our order three times, and the cashier was very unfriendly. We won't be back anytime soon.

What can be said about a fast food chain?

Mc Donald's is Mc Donald's, you get what you expect. Except for this review I give it 1/5 because of the service. They make you wait forever and say they'll be right with you and then you get served by the rudest disinterested guy alive and it's the manager to boot.

It's a McDonalds, what else can you say. It was good, It just lacked something.

We were called blind and people with an extra chromosome

Although the food costs a fortune - which means I can now forget about my pension - and we had to create the atmosphere ourselves, the biggest problem really lies with the staff. An executive apparently thought it was funny to insult thirteen-year-old children with comments about disabilities, such as blindness or other serious diseases whose names I don't even want to mention. These children then had to do her work and were then shown the door again. In addition, she was also very snarky. And to get back to the food: it literally tasted like salted blubber. Not recommended!

Ridiculous, the food is already so expensive and doesn't even taste good. And when we wanted to leave, an employee thought it would be fun to scold a bunch of 13 year old children for blindness and diseases that I don't even want to name and also showed the group of children the door, personally I find this RIDICULOUS.

Food was okay, but I heard from a customer that the MC in Germany is cheaper. Furthermore, you can sit comfortably here and enjoy good coffee too.

Menu is like any Mc Donald's. Despite the crowds, the food was brought to the table surprisingly quickly. It was noticeable that it was freshly prepared and was still at the right temperature. It is certainly neat and tidy here, plenty of seats, the entrance is on the side where you wouldn't expect it, but this is also indicated.

MC flurry... the container isn't even a quarter full... it's scandalous

Coffee was undrinkable. When we got a bottle of water to wash away the taste and indicated this, there was no response. Paid for a bottle of water and left. We left the undrank coffee on the table

No more lids on the milkshakes... nice and handy with children, you have to shake the herbs on the fries yourself with a bag and you also have to bake the fries yourself :( and of course the fries are cold after shaking. For a change We sat inside once, but it was so cold that we kept our coats on.

We ate there while passing through. It was clean there at first glance, I had to wipe our table clean myself. Food came quickly and was delicious. I didn't like the ladies' toilet much... but when I was there with my little daughter, the nice gentleman came and wanted to wipe all the time. Even though it was locked, he just stood in front of the door and waited. I found that very strange, you don't do that. Cleanliness, yes, but with discretion in the toilets

The atmosphere could be a bit better. Furthermore, the food arrived very quickly. And it all tasted good too. So if you want to eat quietly and it is already late, then this is a good place to eat your dinner quietly.

The simple salad could do with a lot more pep, more tomato, cucumber, grated carrots, radishes, etc. My current one had 1 slice of tomato oh what a miracle... The rest is as always, it tastes delicious and fills you up. The atmosphere could be much more comfortable, it used to be much more comfortable with the old look, today you get the feeling that you shouldn't sit for long so that the next people can come.

I paid around 40 euros expecting 2 cheese burger menus and only got one really bad one

When someone orders veggie nuggets, there is no way the staff can serve real nuggets in a veggie box. How dare you. This is not only unethical, but downright dangerous. Such negligence can have serious consequences for people with dietary restrictions or allergies.

What you can expect from McDonalds. Friendly employees. A burger was not as ordered, exchanged for the correct one without any problem.

So sad, if you want to eat at McDonald's with your 3-year-old grandson, he is refused the toilet by the manager!
