I had a really bad experience. Customers were unfriendly at the checkout, yelling and snapping. Then came cold fries, lukewarm coffee without sugar, and an iced coffee stirrer without a straw. And the employee came with my lukewarm chicken nuggets (the box was pressed in) by pushing on them with his chin. Totally weird and unhygienic! I was completely disgusted, and there was no salt on the cold fries. What a disaster! Emmen, take care of your staff. This is unacceptable!

Food as expected, service took 40 minutes, the ambiance was nicely decorated, but due to the wait, I wouldn't recommend it for any length of time. (Postscript: Negative ratings wouldn't even do this place justice.) (Second Postscript: Food arrived, the server spilled it, and we've been waiting for another 20 minutes. Please spend your time better than here.) (Third Postscript: Food arrived cold and was prepared in a way that was not worthy of the animal.)

The restaurant itself was very clean and tidy. However, we waited over 45 minutes for two fries and two burgers. You'd be better off going hungry than eating here.

Always say a McDonald's is a McDonald's. I've never seen a McDonald's like this. They don't understand you, making mistake after mistake. This is the future of the Netherlands.

We were looking forward to it, but prices will only go up a lot less, and the quality will only get worse—cold, order incorrect, etc. We were full of hope for something tasty, but this was a real disgrace. Cold, but hey, we're used to it. But then there's the burger, with tons of bread, lettuce, and sauce, and you had to search for the burgers. If this is McDonald's protocol, they should be ashamed and won't see us again.

What a worthless thing! Hot drinks, cold food, which is simply not good, I'd rather have it next year than today. A truly lousy company! Anything but customer-friendly and customer-focused! The only thing good was the nougat!

Lately, I've been feeling a bit hungry every time I go to McDonald's, and I regret it. It's gone downhill so much. The fries were a bit limp. The burger tasted good, but not quite right. It was a bit soggy. A paper straw... never mind. A packet of fries sauce is really not practical. Do I have to squeeze it over my fries or put it in the to-go bag I ripped open so I don't get grease stains in my car? Not very practical. The container of fries sauce was ten times better. And a menu isn't exactly cheap either. It's not the Emmen branch's fault, but the chain's. McDonald's has gone downhill so much.

We returned the order twice because it was incorrect. The third time we thought it was correct so we took it with us. When we got home, we still missed all the things. We had to wait 30 minutes for the wrong order three times.... Do something about it, McDonald's Emmen

Orders are wrong 8 out of 10 times at the drive-thru. How hard is it to read a receipt to figure out what to put in a bag?

I have my doubts about the McChicken; it tastes like nothing anymore. I have a feeling they just sell the veggie version as the regular McChicken. And the Chicken Sensation is never worth 7 euros; it's not tasty.

Unfortunately, I experienced that McDonald's is not friendly to animals. While we were eating, an employee stepped on a spider, which deeply affected me. Unfortunately, I also experienced that the employees preferred to talk to colleagues rather than take our trays. This disappoints me greatly. I also find it a shame that the staff are talking on the phone in a foreign language after their workday, and the walls are absolutely filthy. Otherwise, the food was delicious.

Today we had another bad experience at McDonald's Emmen. Upon arrival, we ordered via the kiosk and waited at the counter for our food. While we waited, several customers complained about their orders: something was missing, something was wrong, or there wasn't enough. That didn't bode well. When our order was ready, we walked outside. In the car, I asked my daughter to check if everything was in the bag. As I feared, something was missing. So, back inside, we went. Without checking the bag, we were quickly given the missing item—they politely said, "Apologies for the inconvenience." Once home, my daughter wanted to start on her cheeseburger... it turned out to be a Chili Chicken, and cold too. This isn't the first time something has gone wrong with an order at this location. Is it really that difficult to properly check an order before it's delivered? It's a shame, because it could be so easily prevented.

Great McDonald's, only I think they couldn't handle the pressure. The food tastes just like you'd expect from McDonald's.

It wasn't busy on a Saturday afternoon. Still, there was a bit of a wait... Maybe that was because my Big Mac wasn't warm. My wife had the same experience with her Korean wrap. That's not how it should be! Service should be fast and the food hot...

Those toddlers are doing everything they can to screw things up in the drive-thru. My order was 2x The Big Arch, 2 strawberry/banana milkshakes, and fries sauce. The fries sauce wasn't included, and both the milkshakes came with banana. 😂😂😂 When we get something, it's usually a bit later in the evening. After the evening shift, we stopped at McDonald's to get it. This evening was no exception. And it's the umpteenth time something's missing. It's really annoying when you only realize it when you get home. This time I got 3 Big Mac Menus through the drive-thru. After a while, we were given a small bag, which immediately seemed too little to me. So, from experience, I first checked the parking lot. Turns out I was missing 3 fries. I went inside where they came up to me and asked, "Did you forget the fries?" And then, after a somewhat grumpy remark to me, they went through the store yelling, "Enjoy your meal!" Management was there with the empty boxes. We go to KFC more often now.

They forgot to put a chili check in the bag. We called and were able to come by. First, we reported it to the first window, then we were able to drive to the second window. There, we received a bag full of food with a menu. This has now been resolved properly.

Today it took ages to order at the drive-thru, and we were second in line. It happens, but we ordered two cheeseburgers and a chili chicken. Those weren't ready 30 minutes after ordering. When we complained, they laughed at us. We ended up leaving without eating. Very disappointing, if you ask me.

I find it a real shame that you literally never get what you ask for and only find out when you get home. I order a Big Arch, but get a Big Mac. It's true that both burgers say "Big" on the box, but "Arch" actually starts with an "A" and "Mac" starts with an "M." Apparently, the Dutch alphabet is very difficult for the staff at this McDonald's. This was also my last visit.

Stood in the McDrive for half an hour to order a small coffee. When I got to the second window, I was put in the hold position to cool down for another 10 minutes, waiting for one small coffee. Madness.

Great service, friendly staff, they even picked up the trays themselves and offered towels. Best service I've ever encountered at a medical center in the Netherlands.

The McFlurry here is always only a quarter full and half of your order is always missing. The drive-thru staff are too busy chatting, just like the management/managers. The food is 9/10 cold, but then I go to Assen and there you at least get what you order and the McFlurry is properly filled, the food is always hot and everything is correct. They might as well stop in Emmen and pay a fortune and get next to nothing... And then Assen north and south is just as bad as Emmen.

We came and we asked for 3 my flurry Oreo strawberry and a fries WITH fries sauce we paid when we got the food no fries sauce and the Mac flurry's were not mixed

Been coming here for years. Always a long wait, orders never correct, food always cold.

Unfortunately, I have to give one star because there's no option to give zero stars. I've had several bad experiences with this McDonald's, especially in the McDrive. Burgers, sauces, etc., are often forgotten. I've driven back a few times for that, which, of course, costs gas. Now I'm ready to check the order on the spot, so nothing gets forgotten. My partner and I ordered at the McDonald's itself this time, and even left a tip. We wanted to try the new chili Mac wrap. We accidentally selected the wrong wrap, the meatless one. We reported this to the staff. They couldn't do anything about it; a grumpy woman answered our call. It was obvious she wasn't interested in her work. Her customer service was impeccable. They didn't even try to find a solution to accommodate us. Disgraceful. While I was talking to the lady, dozens of colleagues were standing behind her, watching her. I thought, "Shouldn't you be working?" Those people in the McDrive are also waiting for their cold orders. We left without the wraps, so we could enjoy the rest of our food. Unfortunately, the fries were colder than the cola, and there was a hair in my fries. Delicious. For the prices they charge, I expect at least good food and some customer service. Yet another disappointing experience. We'll never be back.

We wanted to have breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately, it wasn't what we expected. Once we ordered and paid for everything (for 4 people), it turned out there were only two croissants in total. With a chain as large as McDonald's, that shouldn't be allowed.

Still, LITERALLY not even one order is correct. There's always something missing. The management at this restaurant is truly awful. This is the worst MC I know. Why do I keep going there? Because it's unfortunately the only one in my neighborhood... and yes, I love MC food. But I don't understand the service here. This would be so easy to solve by just having one person check every order before it goes out to the customer... easy peasy. But unfortunately, you should check every order before you go home, and yes, actually only eat in; that way, it's easier to correct the mistakes.

I placed a small order around 2:45 this afternoon, and it was very quiet in the restaurant itself. I ordered a cheeseburger without mustard, and I got one with mustard. I also ordered a spicy McChicken, which usually comes with a good amount of lettuce and sauce. This time, it was very light, and when it's busy, I understand that sometimes it's too much to ask, but it was so quiet that they could definitely do a better job.

Very bad Mac! Slow, beyond belief. They don't know how to work. The quality is terrible. This Mac has been canceled.

Just been to the McDonald's Drive-Thru. The sandwiches were cold, and one had probably been sitting out for far too long. It was just cold and hard! Yuck. Called them and they said they could come by and exchange the sandwich. It's time for them to get away with it like that. No need for that anymore, I won't be going there again. Done! For a quick bite, you'd think, "Let's go here." However, our experience in recent months has been different. Three out of five times, the milkshakes have been wrong—completely different flavors, and the buns are undercooked. In short, I think it could use some improvement.

I went to the Mac Drive, the person taking the order wasn't listening well and I don't think she knew what she was doing. The people taking orders should first of all be proficient in Dutch and the menus.

Even the manager watched, and the McDonald's app failed. The Quarter Pounder discount disappears without being used. "Yes, sir, this is a known issue." So, should I just add the discount manually? "No, sir, we're not allowed to do that." So, the app eagerly receives our private data, but it doesn't seem to be using coupons anymore. Why is that app taking up space on my phone then? Today, the local snack vendor is going to receive my money, and maybe I should just leave it as is. A year later, I still haven't used the app, but the veggie croquette is indistinguishable from the meat version. Point taken. Another year later, the veggie croquette is everywhere. You go to buy one, but it's not available. Point taken. Woke up early on a Sunday. Got two breakfasts before 11:00. The croissants are gone. I only have one, so I'll have a pancake. Got home, didn't get any coffee. Always something wrong. Deducted the last point. But that's not possible. The lowest score has already been achieved. It's 2023, the end of March. Spicey Nuggets on sale. Great, we'll get spicy nuggets. Got home, no spicy nuggets. Regular nuggets. No star deducted because we can't go any lower. 2025, I see my review is blocked. What happened in the past doesn't really change anything.

The burgers are not good, put together carelessly. The service and cleanliness of the place leave much to be desired. I do not recommend it.

The food is just like any other MD. They don't really know how to make McFlurry. The contents are practically nothing.

Order your cheeseburger without onion and pickle and you'll get a half-scraped cheeseburger with half the onion still on it. That's ridiculous, and the worst part is, you'll get a cold meal and a bun that's half torn apart. Never come here again! It's terrible!

Of all the times we go through the drive, about half of the time something is missing. Or get the wrong order, wrong product, forgot the sauce, plain that is not plain, etc. And as I say to employees every time.....why do I get my ice cream in the car and then have to wait another 5 minutes for my order 🤷🏻‍♀️. So the ice cream is melted when the rest of the order is brought. Just don't give the ice cream until the rest of the order is ready.

The food is too expensive. Just going to mac is no longer possible. Moreover, the burgers are almost never warm when I eat them after the French Fries. You do get a new one, which is nice and warm. At this location it is often busy. Difficult with many kids, and also for parking.

I have been to almost every McDonalds in the Netherlands and this was the best! Never seen such a good McDonalds.

We ate on 18.05.25 and were treated for food poisoning for 2 days. I will initiate the necessary procedures to ensure that the damaged product is repaired.

What figures here. Worst McDonald's ever. Staff as lazy as can be. When ordering we received a coffee from someone else, while our order was already given to the person behind us. The cappuccino was so full it overflowed. No spoon with the McFlurry. It's hard to believe that so much can go wrong in one order.
