Food reasonable Burger too cold, drinks nice and cool, fries tasty

McDonald's Emmen is one of the better McDonald's in the region; the hygiene is definitely on the good side compared to other fast food restaurants in the area. The food was ready quickly, perfect for a quick bite. One of the better ones! Highly recommended!

McDonald's is much better in the Netherlands than in Germany.

Paying €1.70 for 2 portions of fries sauce and getting sweet and sour sauce? Also 7 chicken nuggets instead of 9, too bad I was already home when I realized it.

I am very disappointed. I ordered what I thought was a delicious McFlurry and to my surprise it looked like it just came out of the oven, melted, sad and a mess. Never again. Great service though!

Always delicious, craftsmanship

Ridiculous, taking 30 minutes for two breakfast burgers. On top of that, one of the servers was constantly distracted by a group of teenagers he probably knew, instead of serving them.

Large restaurant, more expensive than a German McDonald's, but much better. Tables, chairs, and floor were very clean. Despite it being evening, the service was quick.

Thijmen had to wait a long time for his cookie at the McDrive yesterday. He was very sad afterwards. Otherwise, it's always great here!!!

The Quarter Pounder was cold and had 6 slices of unmelted cheese on it. An employee probably didn't feel like separating the slices to make the bun decent with two slices of cheese. Very disappointing, hopefully better next time.

You always have to check your order when you come out of the drive-thru, and 9 out of 10 times it's not right. Sauce forgotten, wrong quantity, different kind of sauce, missing nugget... always something.

I come here occasionally when I want to treat myself. The staff is good and friendly. There are always plenty of parking spaces. In the evening and at night, there are almost always groups of young people hanging around, which is a real shame and gives a feeling of insecurity.

This is my second time here; the food was ice cold again and everything was prepared. If you complain about it, you get a rude response like, "Yeah, that's how we do it here," but you still have to shell out 45 euros for three people. P.S. The ice cream was nice and cold though, just as it should be.

Too bad you can't give minus stars Came here after a long workday, ordered two double cheeseburgers and was allowed to drive through to the first window. I realized there was a pickle on the burger, a burger I don't order often, so I told the waiter they need it without pickle because I'm allergic to it. I drove through to the second window and got my burgers immediately. I took them, was standing in the parking spot, didn't trust it so looked at the burger first; there were literally still the imprints of the pickles in it and the smell too. Went back and got the wrong burgers again. After getting it wrong three times, I finally had the right ones. Take one bite. Well, there's just a kilo of sauce on it, no exaggeration. I threw it away. I'll go to the shawarma place instead.

Incredibly arrogant and rude staff. The order was wrong and I get snapped at when I come back. I am asked 3 times what I ordered and the door is slammed shut. Done with this McDonald's!

Received the wrong order for the 5th time in a relatively short period. This time I asked the manager to look into it. I asked how this was possible; it was the only car at the time. I also asked if I could get my order right now, and preferably warm. By then, 2 milkshakes had already melted in the car. Not even an apology from this manager? Didn't see it again after that either. And you guessed it, cold fries etc. at home. How is it possible that this branch functions so poorly?

The coupon didn't work at the self-ordering kiosk. I asked for help, but they can't do anything with it. I was told to just email McDonald's Netherlands. Very nonchalant.

We had an extensive breakfast here. The food was as it should be, and therefore top-notch. The service was good, the toilets were cleaned upon arrival, and because we were there before 10:00, the restaurant was nice and quiet and clean... An extensive breakfast for 2 people cost us €21.

Expensive fake food. Orders are frequently incorrect and some items are lukewarm upon delivery. Cutlery isn't even available and the staff regularly doesn't qualify for employee of the month.

The food was fine, the atmosphere too, but the service wasn't. I ordered two cheeseburgers without pickles, but I got them with only sauce. How can you forget cheese on a cheeseburger? Then I had to wait 10 minutes for a small milkshake.

Nice McDonald's, no noisy customers and crispy fries with a brown edge like you don't often get at a McDonald's. There were 9 of us and the order arrived quickly and was complete.

McDonald's like any other, Except when I went to the men's restrooms, halfway through my visit a kitchen employee walked out of the toilet that was about to be locked, and judging by the smell, he was doing his number 2 in there. He walked past me *and* the sink and walked straight back into the kitchen. Hence the 1-star service, Because the service of his star doesn't really belong with the food he prepares.

Some waitresses walk around lazily and shout at each other to carry out orders. The fries were cold. The chicken in the McChicken was overcooked. Not recommended!!!

I ordered a double cheeseburger without pickles due to my allergy. It was clearly indicated on the receipt, but there were pickles on it anyway. This is the last time I'm going here.

Paying more than €16 for 4 McFlurries including discount, and then only filling the ice cream cups a third of the way....... Including a surcharge for the McDrive and a plastic surcharge. Too expensive, and then delivering too little as well.....

Absolutely incompetent McDonald's. The fact that they handle your order correctly is a miracle, out of 6 burgers 2 are missing, incompetent staff including managers.

The Big Mac was cold and the receipt didn't even come out of the self-checkout.

Got a delicious coffee and a cheesecake; it wasn't busy and I had a question about my order. I was helped very well by Host Davey, a friendly young man who takes you seriously. Tasty coffee; I consider the heart a bonus point.

Yikes, waited 20 minutes for my order, burgers were cold, McFlurry turned into a milkshake, it had been waiting that long. We went here as an emergency, but we won't be doing that again.

There's a sign at the entrance that says "smoke-free area." Then, staff stand right next to the entrance, smoking. Not exactly the best example for a child-friendly environment. The food wasn't very warm.

Yes, McDonald's, like so many years ago, and it's pretty much the same everywhere. Nothing special, it's pretty tasteless, as always. What I find truly absurd are the recent prices: €30 for two menus. Nothing special, just two "value menus" for €30 more! Sorry, but for €10 more, you can get food at a decent restaurant that fills you up and has a lot of flavor. ! McDonald's, your prices are ridiculous!

We waited in the drive-through for half an hour; the other side of the drive-through was running smoothly, and we waited another half hour. We asked someone at the other end to inform us that we couldn't order. Due to an "error," things went a bit wrong. Then, the entire wrap we ordered was lying loose in our bag, making it difficult to eat.

Not our thing, but since nothing else was open, we ended up here at 10:45 on Sunday morning, much to the grandchildren's delight. We had the McChicken Hot, which wasn't bad at all. The fries were still half raw and meager, I think. It's great that there's a healthy option too.

Ordered two menus for 40 euros, the cola wasn't delivered, and they gave me a 34-cent refund. I called them, and it wasn't their problem. I was almost laughed at.

The McFlurry here is always only a quarter full and half of your order is always missing. The drive-thru staff are too busy chatting, just like the management/managers. The food is 9/10 cold, but then I go to Assen, and there you at least get what you order, and the McFlurry is properly filled, the food is always hot, and everything is correct. They might as well stop in Emmen, pay a fortune and get next to nothing... And then Assen North-South is just as bad as Emmen. I don't know what's put in the ice cream here, but I keep getting lumps in it. I've never had that at any McFlurry, but Emmen does. I don't know what kind of incompetent managers are there, and so on. It's not quite 100%. Then you can't accept the reviews at the McFlurry, but don't forget that objections can also be filed, smarties, just fix everything and hire good staff who don't constantly make mistakes. Do you also have no bad reviews?

The staff at the MC drive-thru were extremely rude. They refused to serve us food because they thought we were filming with our phones. They demanded that we erase our phones. This is unacceptable and extremely rude.

I placed an order through Thuisbezorgd, received it, but the sauces were forgotten. I called McDonald's and was told, "Yes, we don't have our own delivery drivers, we go through an intermediary," so I should have called Thuisbezorgd first for a mistake McDonald's made themselves! Ridiculous.

Around 6:30 we drove through the McDrive. Despite the crowds, things thankfully moved along smoothly. We were treated very kindly by the staff. Unfortunately, the food wasn't piping hot when we received it, so it was lukewarm when we got home. And unfortunately, they forgot to add the sauce. All in all, we had a good meal.

I had a really bad experience. Customers were unfriendly at the checkout, yelling and snapping. Then came cold fries, lukewarm coffee without sugar, and an iced coffee stirrer without a straw. And the employee came with my lukewarm chicken nuggets (the box was pressed in) by pushing on them with his chin. Totally weird and unhygienic! I was completely disgusted, and there was no salt on the cold fries. What a disaster! Emmen, take care of your staff. This is unacceptable!

The restaurant itself was very clean and tidy. However, we waited over 45 minutes for two fries and two burgers. You'd be better off going hungry than eating here.

A very neat and clean restaurant. Table service is good. The location isn't the best, being a bit further from the city center.

We were looking forward to it, but prices will only go up a lot less, and the quality will only get worse—cold, order incorrect, etc. We were full of hope for something tasty, but this was a real disgrace. Cold, but hey, we're used to it. But then there's the burger, with tons of bread, lettuce, and sauce, and you had to search for the burgers. If this is McDonald's protocol, they should be ashamed and won't see us again.

Always say a McDonald's is a McDonald's. I've never seen a McDonald's like this. They don't understand you, making mistake after mistake. This is the future of the Netherlands.

What a worthless thing! Hot drinks, cold food, which is simply not good, I'd rather have it next year than today. A truly lousy company! Anything but customer-friendly and customer-focused! The only thing good was the nougat!

Mac drive smooth service and food great fries could use a bit more salt.

Lately, I've been feeling a bit hungry every time I go to McDonald's, and I regret it. It's gone downhill so much. The fries were a bit limp. The burger tasted good, but not quite right. It was a bit soggy. A paper straw... never mind. A packet of fries sauce is really not practical. Do I have to squeeze it over my fries or put it in the to-go bag I ripped open so I don't get grease stains in my car? Not very practical. The container of fries sauce was ten times better. And a menu isn't exactly cheap either. It's not the Emmen branch's fault, but the chain's. McDonald's has gone downhill so much.

We returned the order twice because it was incorrect. The third time we thought it was correct so we took it with us. When we got home, we still missed all the things. We had to wait 30 minutes for the wrong order three times.... Do something about it, McDonald's Emmen

Orders are wrong 8 out of 10 times at the drive-thru. How hard is it to read a receipt to figure out what to put in a bag?

Unfortunately, 9 times out of 10, orders are placed and one or more items are missing. This was the case again tonight.

Poor service, whether drive thru or inside.

The food is good, there's always room. Orders are delivered quickly, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I have my doubts about the McChicken; it tastes like nothing anymore. I have a feeling they just sell the veggie version as the regular McChicken. And the Chicken Sensation is never worth 7 euros; it's not tasty.

That place was AMAZING thanks to Davey Host one of most amazing and devoted persons I met , a polite, kind and always had a professional attitude.I’ve been in many places in my life and I’ve never seen someone conscientious and meticulous in his work. Thank you again Mister Davey.

Unfortunately, I experienced that McDonald's is not friendly to animals. While we were eating, an employee stepped on a spider, which deeply affected me. Unfortunately, I also experienced that the employees preferred to talk to colleagues rather than take our trays. This disappoints me greatly. I also find it a shame that the staff are talking on the phone in a foreign language after their workday, and the walls are absolutely filthy. Otherwise, the food was delicious.

I had to wait 15 minutes, and there was a bullshit story about the order not being registered correctly... Zoë had to bring extra apple cookies. Well, I'm still looking for them!

Today we had another bad experience at McDonald's Emmen. Upon arrival, we ordered via the kiosk and waited at the counter for our food. While we waited, several customers complained about their orders: something was missing, something was wrong, or there wasn't enough. That didn't bode well. When our order was ready, we walked outside. In the car, I asked my daughter to check if everything was in the bag. As I feared, something was missing. So, back inside, we went. Without checking the bag, we were quickly given the missing item—they politely said, "Apologies for the inconvenience." Once home, my daughter wanted to start on her cheeseburger... it turned out to be a Chili Chicken, and cold too. This isn't the first time something has gone wrong with an order at this location. Is it really that difficult to properly check an order before it's delivered? It's a shame, because it could be so easily prevented.

Great McDonald's, only I think they couldn't handle the pressure. The food tastes just like you'd expect from McDonald's.

It wasn't busy on a Saturday afternoon. Still, there was a bit of a wait... Maybe that was because my Big Mac wasn't warm. My wife had the same experience with her Korean wrap. That's not how it should be! Service should be fast and the food hot...

Those toddlers are doing everything they can to screw things up in the drive-thru. My order was 2x The Big Arch, 2 strawberry/banana milkshakes, and fries sauce. The fries sauce wasn't included, and both the milkshakes came with banana. 😂😂😂 When we get something, it's usually a bit later in the evening. After the evening shift, we stopped at McDonald's to get it. This evening was no exception. And it's the umpteenth time something's missing. It's really annoying when you only realize it when you get home. This time I got 3 Big Mac Menus through the drive-thru. After a while, we were given a small bag, which immediately seemed too little to me. So, from experience, I first checked the parking lot. Turns out I was missing 3 fries. I went inside where they came up to me and asked, "Did you forget the fries?" And then, after a somewhat grumpy remark to me, they went through the store yelling, "Enjoy your meal!" Management was there with the empty boxes. We go to KFC more often now.

Today it took ages to order at the drive-thru, and we were second in line. It happens, but we ordered two cheeseburgers and a chili chicken. Those weren't ready 30 minutes after ordering. When we complained, they laughed at us. We ended up leaving without eating. Very disappointing, if you ask me.

They forgot to put a chili check in the bag. We called and were able to come by. First, we reported it to the first window, then we were able to drive to the second window. There, we received a bag full of food with a menu. This has now been resolved properly.

I find it a real shame that you literally never get what you ask for and only find out when you get home. I order a Big Arch, but get a Big Mac. It's true that both burgers say "Big" on the box, but "Arch" actually starts with an "A" and "Mac" starts with an "M." Apparently, the Dutch alphabet is very difficult for the staff at this McDonald's. This was also my last visit.

Stood in the McDrive for half an hour to order a small coffee. When I got to the second window, I was put in the hold position to cool down for another 10 minutes, waiting for one small coffee. Madness.
