This is honestly the worst McDonald's in the Netherlands. I got my food here; literally everything, from fries to burgers, was cold. Avoid this place!!! A good 20 euros for cold food.

Never wait too long always on time and very tasty

Dirty, messy, cold, raw burger, and fries without salt. And when you try to call to say you don't like your order and want a new burger, there's no answer. Terrible store.

The crew is rude, and the food is often undercooked. My Big Mac was red on the inside and tasted like blood. A terrible experience. Tip: start resembling McDonald's in the cage.

I believe that when you order, it should be complete. If something is forgotten, that's no problem, of course, but please answer the phone. This didn't happen when I ordered here. I called 30 times with no answer, and I wasn't there, so I couldn't come back. I ordered two expensive burgers, one of which wasn't there. This is really frustrating. Next time, I'll unpack my order at the counter because this awful manager has a really hard time answering a phone call. So if you come here, check everything, because the McDonald's are already money... You get what I mean! :)

I order food and now my daughter has no fries so barely anything to eat they say yes go to Uber as if they made my food finally they say buy a new one so then you can come and have a good business this is none of their business and you have to solve it yourself.

This is definitely one of the worst-maintained McDonald's I've ever been to. The restroom smelled of marijuana, and the fixtures were burnt, suggesting that this sort of thing happens regularly there. The overall impression – unfortunately, very negative. If I didn't have to, I probably wouldn't come here.

The apple pieces were excellent again. I still think it's a shame that the larger ones aren't available anymore.

Always a good experience at McDonald's Den Helder Centrum! The staff is friendly, the service is fast, and the food is delicious and fresh. The place is clean and inviting. Definitely recommended!

After waiting 20 minutes for a chili chicken burger, I saw an employee grab the chicken from the heated rack with his bare hands and place it on my chili chicken. I reported this to the floor manager, who also mentioned that the burger was cold. He suggested he would have a new order made. After waiting another 10 to 15 minutes, I asked the employee, who was grabbing my food with her bare hands, if I could still get my chili chicken and burger. She replied in an unsociable tone that the order didn't exist. I replied normally that it did, and she said no. After I persisted, explaining that I'd already been waiting 30 minutes, she went to her manager, who immediately confirmed that it did exist. She then quickly grabbed my order, which was already cold. Poor management, poor, and unsociable staff.

Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. Managers were arguing behind the counter in full view of customers, and staff were doing strange things. They simply put a cup that fell on the floor back in the dirty cup holder, and then they forgot my order. Sorry, but I think it was all a complete mess. Then my food was cold because it had been sitting out for far too long. That really needs to improve. And oh yeah, if you're going to have an argument, never do it near customers. It's just not done.

What a terrible place! The order was incomplete and cold when I got home. I filed a complaint, and after three weeks, still no response. The restaurant (if you can even call it that) is a complete pigsty. I think the food inspection service should take a look.

Grim atmosphere inside and outside

I recently visited the McDonald’s in Den Helder, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. Compared to McDonald’s in Poland, the food here feels bland and lacks character. The cheese bites, in particular, were a letdown the breading is far too thick, which gives the impression that you’re mostly eating crust rather than actual cheese. This makes them heavy and not very enjoyable. Overall, the menu items tasted flat and didn’t deliver the flavor I expected. On the positive side, the sauces were really good, and I appreciated their generous portion sizes.

Brand new, definitely recommended

This is the dirtiest restaurant I've ever been to. When the floor is sticky and the restrooms are full of trash, I don't want to know what happens to the food. Disgusting.

I've never seen such an extremely dirty McDonald's. The floor was as slippery as a mirror with soap. It was impassable. The toilet was covered in feces and was extremely dated and broken. What a filthy mess.

In the evening when I came, the place was dirty and poorly lit, as if some of the lights weren’t working. It felt unpleasant to stay inside. However, the staff was polite and helpful.

I think this is one of the dirtiest Dutch McDonald's I've ever been to. There's filth everywhere; tables, chairs, and benches are dirty, etc. As you go down the stairs to use the restroom, the smell of urine hits you. The men's restroom has a floor with, we think, water? The women's restroom also has wetness, it stinks, and the toilet paper holder is past its prime. The burger and fries were cold. We politely reported this to the counter and received new, warm ones later. Very nice. Furthermore, there are a lot of noisy guests, which makes it quite unpleasant to sit and eat there. We won't be coming back.

The toilet was dirty and the floors were wet, and despite us telling them they were out of toilet paper, they didn't respond. We ordered a macfleuri after inquiring and only received it. It's bad, we won't be going back.

A bit boring. Run-down corner. The building next door is empty. It doesn't really exude any atmosphere. Couldn't find a toilet.

I don't think even the ugliest train station could be dirtier than this McDonald's. It's a total dump. Bathrooms full of urine and the restaurant floors are filthy.

Uncomfortable sitting inside. It's not exactly clean outside. Filthy, smelly men's restroom. I asked the manager to come take a look, but he refused. They said it would be cleaned. The interior isn't inviting either. Perhaps it could use a facelift?

The food was okay, but the restrooms were in really bad condition. There was a lot of mold on the walls, the exhaust system, and it looked like they hadn't been cleaned properly. The smell was so unpleasant that I had to smoke a cigarette to get rid of it. The constant beeping noise from the kitchen can be heard throughout the McDonald's.

Not clean at all, compared to other branches, the food was incomplete on several occasions and the toilet was barely usable.

They should send someone over there because they have no idea what hygiene is like there. The restrooms are ALWAYS filthy. It's like they mop with old frying grease; the floor is so slippery, and if you smell the odor, you immediately don't want your food. What a disgusting mess!

Dirty tables, dirty floor, dirty kitchen, cleaning products left open against drinks. Food was tough, toilet was filthy. It took 10 minutes to get help with a question I had.

I came here for ice cream, but I had to wait 15 minutes while others after me were helped. My number even disappeared from the sign. When I pointed it out, I received an unfriendly response. The place was dirty, and the staff stood there watching a girl who dropped a drink instead of working.

A pretty terrible 'soft'. The toilets are filthy, the food looks awful, the cola was without bubbles and taste. The staff is inept, but nice and hardworking.

Very dirty, the floor was sticky and there was trash on the ground. The burgers were just nice and cold when they arrived at the table.

After visiting the maritime museum and walking along the sea I needed a light meal as I still had to travel for 2.45 hours. And then you end up at a McDonald's again. Those meals are never heavy on the stomach and are filling. The restaurant itself was clean and the vending machine worked fine. Quite soon after I had taken a seat at a clean table my meal was delivered with the correct order by a friendly young man and still nice and warm. The lid of my coke cup closed a bit difficult so it kept shifting when I took a sip from the paper straw. The atmosphere among the people and the temperature were good. Satisfied I left the establishment after I had put away my tray.

I was here last time I think a year ago and now again but pfff what a drama this time. Forgot dressing, forgot sauce, forgot straw but ok quickly solved, great! But the floor and tables were just really f*cking disgusting, the floor was so greasy that I almost slipped and the tables were just not clean. There is actually no excuse for keeping your shop at least a little bit clean.

It doesn't matter when you come here, it's always dirty somewhere. Of course, people should also clean up after themselves, but given that there are many antisocial people who don't, you expect enough ownership from the management team to ensure that it stays clean. They would rather sit near customers and have staff conversations about how things can be improved, than look back and see that it's really dirty somewhere. Several people also walk away from these dirty tables. The management is not even a meter away. You should definitely avoid the toilets here, it looks like an NS train.

Dirty place, bad staff who do not adhere to hygiene rules (young man put her nails in my ice cream??) food is lukewarm or even cold. Waiting times are long even though it is quiet. Floor is sticky because of soft drinks. There are mice running around while you are eating. Toilets are extremely dirty. And on top of all that, the staff is also super rude and not customer friendly!!!!

I go there often. Quiet peaceful place. There is a children's playground on the street in front of the entrance. Convenient parking.

This is really a very bad McDonald's. Long waiting times... staff chat more with each other. The order was not complete and I had to return by train to pick up my sandwich. Man, what a bad situation in this store. This was the last time.

Food is ok, you can't go wrong. The staff is more concerned with doing nonsense than doing their job. The toilets are just disgusting. Completely pissed and dirty.

It was really exciting to visit this fort and learn about its history. An audio guide is also offered if you don't feel like reading 😉 You will be guided through a route through the entire fort, but you can also explore everything yourself. But the given stations make sense. It was really interesting and seeing the finds from the old days was very exciting. I can only recommend a visit to anyone interested in these stories

Nice stamp campaign. But then you are told at ALL branches that they no longer have stamps and that you are 'bad luck' - not so, you just sign off. Unprecedentedly bad. And that for a promotion that will still run for more than 2 months. Screw this owner

Men's toilets no longer even have toilets, just a single normal toilet. It all looks dirty

Delicious lunch when visiting Den Helder. After the adjacent building is completed, the MacD will move.

The food was bad, the quality was quite mediocre. The employees are treated very badly by the managers. The manager with the name badge "Delano" was very unfriendly and went on a rampage with an employee who brought my food. That employee did everything right and brought the food to me neatly and politely. I hear from many employees that that manager does this more often. But I hope that there will be an improvement.

Update in my rating: from 1 to 3 stars After three negative experiences in a row, where I expressed my dissatisfaction with the service, I decided last Saturday to give McDonald's another chance. And I must say, luckily it was good again! The food arrived quickly, tasted perfect and the temperature was also good. Therefore, I have adjusted my rating from 1 star to 3 stars, in the hope that the improved service will continue. I'm glad it was okay again 🙏🏻 This should also be heard, because in recent years I was satisfied much more often than dissatisfied. --- Original rating: 1 star I don't give low ratings quickly or easily, and I rarely do this. Things were going well here for years, but in recent weeks I have been very, very, VERY dissatisfied with the service. It is literally NEVER good again. Orders are missing, burgers are way too salty or almost saltless and without sauce. Complete orders are mixed up, causing you to miss products. Now this is the 3rd time in a row that it has gone wrong. Then my order is canceled after a long wait, which means that at 11:00 PM we are still without dinner and have to eat something else ourselves. I really hope that something is done about this, because as a satisfied customer for many years, I have little desire to order from here again. Once the service improves I will give 5 stars again, but I'm done with it for now. I hope this gets resolved because I was always satisfied. At this point, the service hasn't been this bad in any restaurant.

Kitchen staff needs to be more focused on each order properly!!! 9 outa 11 always something is missing…. Not a big damage just 2,75€ or 1,95..2,15 etc… but 6x7 times in the row….

Ordered food, waited. It was canceled because we wouldn't be there. We waited downstairs, the doorbell didn't even ring. Called later and was told that they were going to throw away the order and that they could not deliver it again. Very poor service, apparently ordering costs 20 euros more than ordering on site!!

Unsociable and often forget something

Hamburgers were like rubber, cold, and very dry, afterwards I had a stomach ache from the food. The tables are dirty and sticky, the entire interior is just filthy, a lot of dust blows into your food, the toilets are also gross. And the staff is busy with each other. You also don't get a receipt from the machine, so if your order is incorrect you're out of luck, because you're not going to win the discussion with the manager lol.

Negative point disgusting bathrooms otherwise nothing to point out

This Mac looks dilapidated compared to others and clearly shows a lack of maintenance. it is particularly pronounced when it comes to sanitary facilities. it was very dirty and smelled like it looked. very unsanitary. the plumbing itself was damaged and/or broken. the food was basically standard mcdonalds and could hardly be faulted. the service was excellent and the ladies working there are very friendly and polite. it made us feel like they were trying to make the best with the minimal resources they have.

One Happy Meal was ordered with an extra burger and nuggets. The waitress put 12 nuggets in front of us and thought that was it. A Beef BigMac was delivered as a Chicken BigMac, this staff was an absolute disaster.

Staff were very busy with each other, 1 girl was helping and three were busy with each other.

Food was all salty, even the burgers HAD to put salt and pepper on them, they couldn't eat them and they didn't get new ones, the staff wasn't really active and came across as 'lazy', we'll never go there again!

Reasonable establishment with McCafe, without McDrive. Fast and friendly service. But there is still rubbish on the tables and floor everywhere from antisocial customers.

I am not a fan of McDonalds or fast food. We had to take the grandchildren to eat there. The grandchildren of course loved it. I.v.m. the privacy of our grandchildren, no photos of them.

I ordered a double big tasty Walois, I received the single, well then you have me friend, I think it's a shame, I called 5 times, no one answers, strange, I think it's strange. Yes, you have me by the ass and I'll tell you the truth, I have now ordered again but I find it strange that I don't get to drink what you are supposed to drink WITHOUT A STRAW?! This is strange, one more thing, my double CB was a bit salty, looks like the whole pot is finished?

McDonald's, the staff isn't exactly friendly, you should avoid the toilets, the coffee was good, they have cool cups.

Out of all McDonalds location i’ve seen (around 40-50) around europe this would be the worst, verry dry quarter punder with almost no pickles and onions, out of the 3 sauces i ordered they got 2 of them wrong.

Our visit to this McDonald's left much to be desired. Half the restaurant was closed, limiting seating options. The available sofas were in poor condition, with ripped holes and an uncomfortable stickiness. The tables also lacked cleanliness, requiring regular attention. The staff's unfamiliarity with the McDonald's app codes hindered our ability to avail discounts on specific items, reflecting a service gap. Despite these drawbacks, the saving grace was the fresh and enjoyable french fries. Unfortunately, the vanilla milkshake left a bitter taste with hints of a cleaning product. This subpar experience was particularly disappointing for a city accustomed to a significant tourist influx. Improved maintenance, staff training, and attention to customer service would undoubtedly elevate the overall dining experience at this McDonald's location.

Not good, I get a medium chocolate milk, I ordered a large. I report this to the staff and they lie to me that this is a big one. Upon further investigation it turned out to be a medium. Bigtasty was lukewarm. Dirty order screen, full of stains and fingers. I also have to eat my food with my fingers that were just on that plate again! Worn interior, lots of damage and dirty. Unfriendly staff. So not much good about this Mac. Next time go to Kooypunt again.

What a dirty restaurant, leftovers of food everywhere on the table or very sticky from drinks... next time I'd rather go to the cage, where every table is cleaned 3 times in fifteen minutes.
