McDonald's Maastricht Gronsveld in Wijk 01 Gronsveld

Unfortunately, it wasn't very tasty, even disgusting. The quarter pounder was cold, had huge chunks of raw onion on it, four slices of pickle, and all the sauce was more disgusting than on the burger. I'm a McDonald's fan (I've eaten it in 27 countries), but this was truly the worst burger I've ever had. The milkshake was also disgusting and absolutely undrinkable. The service was friendly.

McDonald's with MC café on the side of the highway. In the disabled restroom, when you want to change a baby, you have to remove the diaper changing bin to open the changing table. When you ask to heat a baby meal, you're told there's no microwave. Then, after 22 minutes, you're told that the frappe machine isn't turned on. And you have to wait another 15 minutes before your child gets the cappuccino they ordered with frappes. So I don't recommend it at all.

Always busy, so you might have to wait a bit to get your order, but it's manageable. The upstairs has a lovely view of the shops and traffic. There's a spacious terrace for outdoor dining. The driveway is very narrow, but you can still fit a large van underneath, which is completely impossible at Geusselt!

Unbelievable how this staff simply ignores customers. Two coffees and two cookies took half an hour, and only because I asked for them; otherwise, I probably never would have gotten them :-(. Meanwhile, they were already 20 orders past my order, which had probably gotten lost. And I wasn't the only one standing there... Seriously, I've never experienced such a bad McDonald's in the whole world!

They just don't speak Dutch, that's not normal

The outdoor patio is unfortunately very dirty and appears to have not been cleaned for quite some time. Service is slow, and to make matters worse, staff members sit outside, right next to the guests, smoking continuously. This seems particularly unhygienic and unpleasant for those who want to enjoy a meal there.

Well, lukewarm food, but yes, it was expensive for what you get.

Good staff and also tasty food and a nice atmosphere

Untidy, messy, clutter on the floor, tables, and benches. Unfriendly staff. Upstairs in the restaurant, a few staff members were chatting with each other, even though the restaurant could easily have been cleaned with a cloth and a broom. It's also bare and uninviting.

Parking is a bit tight during peak hours. If you're parked next to the businesses, there are no trash bins. Otherwise, everything is fine.

After driving 1,000 km from France, you quickly consider stopping at MAC. It was still open for over an hour, but everything upstairs was already closed. This meant there was very little room to sit anywhere, and people had to sit outside, even though it wasn't pleasant outside anymore. We paid for medium fries instead of large, even though we asked for a large one. We did get small fries as a supplement, but it wasn't appreciated. No napkins or straws. I didn't feel like asking again. Things are clearly changing here. Last time we've been here.

I ordered the same menu I had before, in Eindhoven. Disappointing, to say the least. One of the rules of thumb is identical products. They didn't manage that in Maastricht! I worked from age 16 to 18, so I know. Crushed ice in the lemonade, the perfect lemon combination. Add chunks of ice, and the whole thing loses its charm.

This is possibly the dirtiest McDonald's in the country.... Cobwebs, dirt on the floor, sticky tables, overflowing trash cans, not to mention the toilet... Music blares from the speakers, while Arabic rap blasts from the kitchen, drowned out by a young woman... Maybe they should have staff who are over 16...

We went here after returning from vacation. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly!

Everything was lukewarm, almost cold. Strange, though, it was very busy, so you'd expect hot food. The milkshake was thinner than water... Apparently, there's a new Burger King nearby now, so I'll give it a try.

The fries were tough and lukewarm. There was a large menu, but the fries were only half full. There was more ice cream than drink in the cup. One large menu and a small milkshake cost €20, which I think is too much for what I got. I didn't mention this because we were already on our way.

Great McDonald's restaurant, the food is excellent, the service isn't that great; they often forget things like a bottle of drink or a burger, or something similar. The staff also takes ages to arrive before the food arrives, even though there aren't many people there.

30 min wait for Mc Chicken menu and Spa Blue and 6 nuggets that were also old and cold. Mac drive apparently has priority over customers in the store here.

Fast food, good food, convenient that there are charging stations for electric cars. There could be a few more though.

Convenient location near the highway. We arrived in the evening, and not everything they had was available. That was a shame. The restrooms were clean, and there was ample parking.

We stopped here to try the Dutch McDonald's and its original products 🍟🇳🇱 This restaurant is also a perfect place to stop for lunch while traveling. The M arch is very visible from the highway, which is how we ended up here. To sum up, I've always found German McDonald's better than French ones, and as for the Dutch McDonald's, I find the presentation very attractive, but sometimes the burgers lack ingredients... It's still pretty good, nothing special! The service can be very fast, like for my teammates' platters, or very slow, like for my platter 🥲 The prices are lower than at home, but they charge extra for everything, even sauces and non-recyclable cups 🙃, which quickly adds up to a high bill. For dining, there's a large indoor area with accessible restrooms (including for the disabled) and an outdoor area. There's also a drive-thru and parking for orders to be taken directly to your car. @lvs.kid

We ordered quickly and easily at the ordering station. When we wanted to sit down, some McDonald's colleagues were chatting, and suddenly a McDonald's employee with cancer started cursing. A rather unusual experience. Then the order arrived at our table. The fries were all cold... It was 9:00 PM, and after a long drive home, a portion of warm fries was definitely in order. The burgers weren't quite hot either. A bad experience at this McDonald's. I hope you pay more attention to your staff and their professionalism at this place.

Still Coke, fries container only half full, Big Mac cold, and a dry bun. Disastrous.

Part of my order was forgotten. After asking, it was supposed to be brought, but then it was forgotten again... It's pretty frustrating when one of the children doesn't get their food until the rest is finished.

Great restaurant, food was good. The tables and restrooms could have been cleaner. But the staff, en masse, sitting on a bench on the patio smoking next to diners is absolutely unacceptable. I'm not bothered by the smoke myself, but I'm sure others are. And my burger doesn't have to smell like cigarette butts while eating.

Unique experience. It was quite busy, and our payment screen had a printer error, so one of the employees had to go get our order number from the kitchen, so she wrote it down on a napkin. It turned out to be the wrong number. They'd been calling out our order for almost five minutes, and I had no idea. It worked out fine, but it was a bit disappointing.

Exactly what you expect from a Mac, but we got our food quickly and tasty.

Never seen such a dirty McDonald's

Well, it's a McDonald's. With a view of the highway.

We stopped here briefly on the way there and back during our trip to the Netherlands, as the highway unfortunately offers no other "highlights" for several kilometers. The restaurant is unfortunately far too small for the number of visitors. Nevertheless, the staff was always friendly, and the restrooms were relatively clean. For lack of an alternative, we'll probably end up here again on our next trip to the Netherlands.

First Mc after the border and therefore very busy, chaotic and lots of mess.

If you don't come during rush hour, this is truly the best McDonald's I've ever been to! Friendly service, everything was delicious, and we hardly had to wait.

Great McDonald's, although it's near a busy exit and there's a staircase up for seating, but there is a nice little play area for kids.

The food here is just standard McDonald's. What's particularly striking is that it's old and extremely dirty. Tables aren't wiped down. The floor is covered in trash, and even the walls are covered in something unidentifiable. The restrooms are too disgusting to use. It seems like you're risking all sorts of illnesses for free. The furniture is broken and clearly in need of replacement. When we asked an employee to clean the table and bench, it was actually too much to ask, but they did. He threw the trash on the floor himself, and the cleanup would happen later. Drive past this place quickly. This franchisee should be deeply ashamed. It's incomprehensible that McDonald's Netherlands hasn't intervened yet.

A great stop for a tasty snack on the way home from your vacation. Much better than the McDonald's at Maastricht station. Friendly staff.

The men's restroom was dirty. It even smelled (this time). Otherwise, it was a great place to stop.

They had mixed up several orders and the solution was to join the queue downstairs while our food wasn't even warm anymore when they brought it... luckily we were able to exchange some with other customers.

It was 10:00, so we decided to stop at McDonald's. After 45 minutes, we still hadn't received our food. So we went to the cash register, and it wasn't ready. And we had to drive for two hours, which was ridiculous.

After ordering, there was no seating because the upstairs restaurant wasn't clean yet. Finally, after 30 minutes, we went to get our order ourselves. The employee told us to prepare it. But after another fifteen minutes, we'd had enough, so we asked for our money back. Finally, we drove away. We still have a two-hour drive ahead of us. Such a shame.

Waiting more than an hour was all it took, asking for a refund also took 20 minutes.

It was really bad, we had to sit in the car for 4 hours so we thought we'd stop somewhere, we hadn't eaten anything because of course you expect it to be delivered, so we sat there waiting and waiting, my mother and father went downstairs to check and we ended up waiting 45 minutes while my grandparents had already finished everything and their pancakes were almost cold, and I also went downstairs and half of the order wasn't even ready and another 2 hours of waiting. Too bad, we asked for our money back while a man came to tell a lady that all his cheeseburgers were cold (3 cheeseburgers)

We waited over half an hour for a wrap, two croissants, a burger, and an apple, even though it was very quiet. Then, we walked up to the cash register to ask where it was, only to be told we were out of croissants. The service was really bad. Every time we asked where it was, we were told, "I don't know, we're almost done, and we're starting now!" My wrap had more sauce than chicken, and a friend of ours ordered a hamburger (with no cheese) and got three cheeseburgers! I don't recommend it.

We ordered at 1:50 PM, and our number wasn't on the order board. We didn't see our food for a while, but it had been sitting there for ages. And finally, the food arrived, and it was lukewarm and a bit cold. Never again at this McDonald's.

Unfortunately, this afternoon (around 2 p.m.) we had to wait over half an hour for our order. "It'll be right back... it's a bit busy," was the constant message. And when we finally got the menus, half of them were practically cold! 😞 So far from what we're used to at MAC, both in terms of service and quality. A disappointment!

The unfriendliest person we've ever encountered behind the counter/coffee bar at a McDonald's. It was 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning. Upstairs was closed (too much work to serve upstairs?), so only one restroom was open. Downstairs, all the tables were occupied. There was a huge line for the restroom. The employee noticed, but oh well... My cappuccino was too cold.

They take a long time to get a simple order and often the order is not correct, so you have to wait extra for the food you originally ordered.

Toilets are closed because it's evening. Only a single toilet downstairs is open. That toilet is even dirtier than one along a French highway...

Service could be a bit better and faster, 15 min wait for a coffee...... and then the sugar was forgotten.

I don't write 1 star reviews quickly, but man oh man this was embarrassingly unprofessional. I don't even know where to start. The order that just went off the screen, without anything being made. After fifteen minutes I had to ask if something had gone wrong, after which they started making the order. A dirty rag on the counter was used for the milk frother. Halfway through making the order they walked away again and our coffee was forgotten. Had to ask again after 10 minutes. Had to make everything again, because it was cold. In between I was allowed to witness a show of strange behavior from the employees. A big chaos, no one who seemed to feel responsible, making strange faces at each other behind each other's backs, dancing in the kitchen while everything seems to go wrong. Bizarre.

Order was not complete after a long wait

Close to the highway, with another large store right next door, and plenty of parking, including for trailers.

This place is not recommended. Staff show no interest in waiting customers. And the restrooms are so dirty. How is the hygiene in the production process? We left without eating.

Had a short stop here for a pee break and a cup of coffee, very friendly staff and clean toilet. We didn't need much more, coffee met expectations and enough parking spaces. We were back on the highway within a minute and the gas station that followed shortly after seemed a lot busier just before the border. All in all a good choice to make a short stop here instead of at the gas station on the highway. ⛽️

We ordered food here that was not delivered to our table, after asking an employee it was brought anyway. However, the food was no longer warm and the mayonnaise was not included. After complaining to the manager we were told that we could get the money back for the mayonnaise. What bothered us the most was the manager's street sweeping, how bad is this!! We are really deeply disappointed.

I stopped in because I wanted to eat something quickly. I waited over 20 minutes for a simple set and it was still incomplete and the lady had to graciously bring me a drink. If you've ever had the sinking feeling that someone behind the counter might spit in your food, this place radiates that exact energy. The staff behave like they couldn't care less whether you eat or leave hungry. Zero customer service. Zero care. We've visited this location multiple days in a row, hoping, foolishly, that maybe we just caught them on a bad day. But no, each visit confirmed the same thing: this place has absolutely no business serving people. The muffins and cookies sit there for days, growing staler with each passing hour, and no one seems remotely bothered. It's genuinely disturbing to witness how little pride or hygiene exists here. This location is an embarrassment to the McDonald’s name. We've stopped going, and if you value your time, money, and basic human dignity, you should too. Employees appear more interested in their phones than the customers in front of them, and any attempt to ask for help is met with indifference or outright rudeness. It’s genuinely shocking that a brand with such global standards would allow a branch like this to operate unchecked. Please do better. Until then, we’re taking our business elsewhere...and advising others to do the same.

Just went to this shop to eat. Ordered 2 double burgers. 1 was not delivered properly. So I had to walk back. Quickly helped though. Tables are dirty and no one cleans them. Trash bin was full. No one empties it. The bin where you can throw the rest of your drink in was full. I come here often and will continue to do so in the future. But the staff could do with a bit more effort.

Stood here waiting for almost half an hour for 2 meat burgers, fries and a milkshake... the 3 customers after me left first. Already seen 3 people whose order was incomplete. Too bad you have to pay in advance, otherwise I would have left already. If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. Completely applicable to this Mac location. 0 catering staff employed. Ordered a double cheeseburger without onion and pickle, so I'm not allowed to have the ketchup.

Never in my life have I experienced this poor of a restaurant experience. The people there care a whole 0 for you and your money so I highly encourage you to go to the other locations, either in the city or the one next to the MVV Stadium. Where do I even start, first visit there was horrible. Fine, perhaps people are having a bad day, whatever. All good. Went there the following day, same experience, and the next day the same. Just a few examples, went there and ordered some McFlurry's and some cones, simple enough you'd think right? It's just 3 items, and all are more or less able to be served within a few minutes. Fast forward 10 orders that came after me that had been handled and finally after 16 minutes I've received my items, not a sorry. Nothing. Fine, whatever. Next example, I ordered a dip for my menu. Being already very skeptic of the place I ask the person is the sauce in the bag? He replies with yes, sure enough. When I arrive to the car and I check my order the sauce is not there and instead has been swapped out with another sauce. I was very upset by this and went back to ask what had happenened, so instead of them comunicating this with me and asking if I want an alternative they instead put a random sauce in the menu that I never even asked for. Absolutely horrible, okay next one. I order a McFlurry a few days after and I receive it in a paper cup, not the tradiditional one. I inform the lady in question which is also a team leader btw, or a person in a higher position supposedly and she says yeah their sold out, I kid you not. 1 minute afterwards the customers in front of me received it in the original McFlurrry packaging. So not only did she lie to me, she mocked me as well. All the people in the kitchen are more on their phones then actually working and the people that are meant to be the higher ups care 0 themselves so how are the other staff ever meant to do better? Out of respect I ask the person as well, Dutch or English? She then follows up with I speak Dutch, and then when I speak Dutch she then switches to English. Its things like these that give me 0 reason to ever want to go back to that estbalishment. 1 big tip to the higher ups at McDonalds NL, check up on your staff there because it's hands down a circus down there. I wish I could give 0 stars, but alas. Take your hard earned money elsewhere guys and stay away from this one.

A really dirty MC, the men's toilet is really ridiculously gross. Tables are hardly ever taken. And I have difficulty with the fact that I am addressed in English in the Netherlands. I really don't think this is possible.

What a sad experience. Order was incorrect at all. Several parts were missing, such as the chicken in the chicken salad. 🤦‍♂️😏There was also no cutlery. Almost all orders on the first floor were incomplete. Something had to be done at all the tables because it was not complete. Very bad management, someone has to check the orders before they are delivered. Positive was the super friendly English-speaking employee, who welcomed everyone personally. What a nice man. He was the one who got the wind out of everything and had to follow through on everything. But remained extremely friendly.

Sunday 11:15 a.m. order placed..... 25 minutes later when there are hardly any people there, our order arrives..... Cold from cold..... With the mcflury.... Time to eat we had a milkshake rather than a mcflury...... The coke has no taste.... In short, an experience that I will certainly not repeat at this McDonald's Groonsveld!
