The long line out the door speaks volumes. Luckily, there are plenty of quieter times too. Delicious, healthy, and top-notch staff.

This neighborhood bakery has a lively atmosphere! The large 7-euro sandwich was enough to fill you up, and the cinnamon bun was delicious. I'd love to try their other menu items if I had the chance.

I don't even want to tell you about Meneer Leffers for worry that demand might exceed requests... but that would be selfish. If you value great food. their bread is not to miss. They are a bright spot in a country full of food mediocrity.

Real sourdough baker. Where regular bakers and supermarkets stuff their bread with junk, this baker sticks to the basics. Sourdough bread... consists of sourdough starter (fermented flour and water), flour and salt. Super basic, no unnecessary ingredients. Minimally burdensome for the stomach and intestines. No bloating. This is mainly due to the fermentation. Negative points. Very expensive bread, this is of course because the bread takes much more time to become a loaf. But 6 euros for a (very tasty) loaf is expensive. And they don't have a cutting machine. So at home, at the risk of your own life, trying to cut the bread. Is very difficult, because the bread is quite moist, the crust is super crispy and tasty hard. So it is really quite a job. They also have some sweet rolls and some sandwiches.

I understand that the very dark crust may be part of this bakery’s signature style. However, the level of charring on the sourdough I bought was excessive and concerning. Consuming heavily burnt foods increases exposure to acrylamide, a chemical associated with cancer risk. While I appreciate artisanal techniques, I believe it’s important to raise awareness that this kind of baking — when it results in charred products — can pose health risks. I hope the bakery considers adjusting the baking process or informing customers more clearly.

Unfortunately, on Saturdays there is always a nuisance from incorrectly parked cars.

Best cinnamon bun I’ve ever had! You can literally see them rolling the dough, and the taste is perfect — not too overwhelming or sweet. The atmosphere of Meneer Leffers is perfect. It’s off the tourist route and just a small, humble bakery with sweets and bread. The bread is also perfect and fresh. Staff was extremely kind and even made me an extra pot of coffee. Thank you!

Very tasty cinnamon and cardamom buns. I highly recommend getting those very early in the morning when they are fresh and still in stock. Also tried some seed buns/breads, which were tasty as well. They have a larger selection of breads, but their cinnamon buns still remain their speciality, in my opinion.

Visited Meneer Leffers, a charming bakery in Delft near Oostpoort. The bread is without a doubt the tastiest bread I have ever eaten.

Quite pricey but seriously tasty. Regularly a new creation that you would not immediately think of, often with a surprising taste. Relaxed atmosphere inside, unless you are claustrophobic.

Bakery where they sell real sourdough. Not standard supermarket food where they claim it is sourdough, but they are cheating. Also tasty. The only drawback is the price. Everything is very expensive.

"Pay attention to the step" sounds corny, but be careful, take this literally to heart when you enter this bakery! For the rest, nothing corny here, on the contrary. Never mind the foggy windows, because international baker's blood is "fermenting" here, they are sculpting artisan bread and cake in front of you. Lack of quality competition explains a lot of the price, I'm afraid, because who can imitate them? Upgrade your sandwich meal or coffee with their products, recommended! (Yeast in quotes because they work with sourdough.)

Best sourdough ever. I got 4 sourdough for my first time visit and I love them. Staff were so kind and friendly. I wanted to buy as many as I can but when I came back to the store in 2 hours, almost was sold out.

Das beste Brot der Stadt. Die Stückchen mit Kardamom ( nicht ganz billig ) sind ein Hochgenuss. Auf die Öffnungszeiten achten. Nicht jeden Werktag geöffnet.

Fantastisch lekker brood voedzaam, knapperig, blijft lang vers. Ook de kokosmakroon en broodpudding waren erg lekker. Dit was mijn eerste bezoek aan Meneer Leffers maar zeker niet de laaste eindelijk brood zoals brood bedoeld is.

Highly recommend. Their loaves are fantastic and full of flavour, as are their baguettes. Go early in the day as some of their breads sell out quickly.

Definitely the best (sour-dough) bakery in the area. Go weekly and would recommend it to anyone. Only downside is that once you’ve been there that it’s hard to find an alternative because the their bread & baguettes are amazing!

Dit is nog eens brood!!! Als meer mensen eens zouden weten wat ze missen door in de supermarkt brood te kopen...dit is zo'n wereld van verschil. Er zit meer liefde, tijd en aandacht in dit brood en dat proef je. Daarnaast zijn de baksels ook erg lekker!!!

Een verborgen pareltje. Zuurdesembrood om bij te watertanden. Omdat ik mn eigen zuurdesemstarter per ongeluk had weggegooid ben ik hier geweest om spelt zuurdesembrood te halen. En niet kunnen laten om citroenkoekjes, citroen maanzaadcake en cardemombun mee te nemen. Alles superlekker en heerlijk vers gemaakt. De moeite om even verder te kijken dan het centrum en hier binnen te lopen.

Bread people, this is your oasis. Sourdough loaves of various kinds, all with crunchy crust and fillings that change seasonally and daily. Many use a mix of grains or a mix of whole wheat and white flour. The only loaf I haven’t liked is the spelt bread, which I found boring compared to everything else. The focaccia and buns (cardamom, cinnamon, coffee-chocolate) are always lovely.

Werkelijk waar het lekkerste brood wat ik ooit gegeten heb!!! Ongelooflijk wat een smaaksensaties! Vooral de krenten/appel brood is niet normaal zo lekker, alsof je gebak eet. Dikke aanrader! Niet twijfelen gewoon kopen en genieten.

Meneer Leffers bakes the best sourdough breads and pastries in the area. Everything is created with local organical ingredients and tastes amazing! Would definitely recommend, but they can sell-out quick. So if you want to be sure of yout favorite breads or pastries, order them!

Zeker een aanrader voor een perfect ontbijtje op zaterdag. Heerlijke kardemom- en kaneel- broodjes en daarnaast is het brood zo lekker dat je geen beleg meer nodig hebt.
