Great place for a delicious lunch

One of the few restaurants where the food, atmosphere, and service are all top-notch. Looking at the price, it's not that expensive at all, but the quality is good. I had a (as they call it there) suicide burger, with all sorts of meat on it. Man, that thing was delicious. This restaurant is definitely recommended. The desserts are also unique and worth trying.

Two adults and two 7-year-old children. Unfortunately, our table was forgotten twice. After 40 minutes, we still hadn't been able to place our order. We then decided to pay for our drinks at the bar. The waiter, who had already been to our table twice out of a total of four times, had no idea where we had been seated. Sincere apologies, and the drinks were on the house!

This afternoon, I had a DELICIOUS lunch here (from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM) with my sisters and brothers-in-law. The dishes all looked delicious, and they were even more delicious than they looked! And we had such a wonderful time! This is certainly thanks to the exceptionally friendly and customer-focused service. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything was possible. What a fantastic, top-notch team works there!!! Yorick, you deserve the compliments too! We didn't notice at all that you've only been working there for a week! We will DEFINITELY be back. There are still SO many delicious options to choose from. Keep it up! Good luck!

It was a great place, but the photos gave a slightly more upscale impression than reality. It was quite full, and with all the noise, which wasn't dampened much in the rather bare space, it felt like a chicken coop. A few of us had the surprise menu, and that was the last time. Very tasty, by the way, but the piece of meat in the main course was ridiculously small, and the cheesecake in the dessert was ridiculously large. It was nice and cheap, but the meat could have been twice as big, and the cheesecake half as big. Otherwise, the food was excellent and not particularly expensive, except for the still water. €6.50 for a bottle is simply theft. And you only find out the price after paying the bill. In short: this was a one-time visit.

We went for dinner after the fruit parade on Saturday, September 27th. What a lovely, good restaurant! The service was super friendly and the food was delicious. I'll definitely go back, but with company.

Neat and clean restaurant, with fast service and good quality food. The bill came with a block of mints and a small hammer – a nice touch for smashing your own mints.

My previous review got lost somewhere along the way, so... Oysters were great... Bavette surprisingly good with truffle sauce... Truffle fries... could have had more truffle flavor, and I personally opted for Parmesan and sauce/mayo on the side... The Padrone peppers... nice find!

A charming restaurant in the village of Beneden Leeuwen. I had the chef's selection for lunch, and they were all delicious. The food is excellent and there's a wide selection, but don't expect anything fancy. The wine was okay. €214 for 5 people, plenty of food and drinks.

The food is delicious, that's one of the most important things, right? Unfortunately, you have to wait a really long time for your food. Sometimes half an hour or longer. But okay, if you put that aside, you also have the snobbish staff. Sure, they'll greet you with a smile, but the atmosphere felt like people who would rather smell their own farts than the air outside. Maybe that's just my opinion, so let's skip that for now. No, the prices are truly outrageous for the portions you get. I don't need to pay 10 euros for a soup I can make myself for €1.50. At least I had high expectations when I saw the menu. Yes, the prices are expensive, but I'm sure the portions are generous. No, unfortunately, I was still hungry after my starter, main course, and dessert. I'll conclude by saying that the food was good, and the decor wasn't bad either. But because of this bad experience, I can only give it 2 stars. Meraqi, this could be better! After a pleasant phone call with the owner, I was planning to give my review 3 stars. Unfortunately, my review was reviewed and I couldn't edit it. One of the reasons they gave was that the owner might have appealed. In any case, it's very strange, so it's 1 star instead of 3.

Fantastic restaurant, lovely atmosphere inside. Great wine list, Sangiovese blend is highly recommended. The menu is very extensive with delicious dishes, the ribeye is fantastic.

As we were to attend a wedding that evening at 8:00 PM and needed to eat dinner before, we made a reservation for 5:30 PM for 10 people. When we entered the restaurant there were only two other guests. We ordered drinks and our food. More people came into the restaurant after us and were served their dinner order. The waitress came to ask us several times if we wanted more drinks and we ordered two bottles of water. It took a half hour for the water to arrive. at 7:05 PM we still did not have our dinner order at which point my husband talked to the waitress to tell her we needed to leave soon. Dinner arrived at 7:20 PM!!! The food was good but we were very disappointed about the time it took them to serve it to us.

We hadden voor eerste paasdag gereserveerd bij Meraqi en het zag er bij binnenkomst netjes en mooi uit. Aan tafel werd ons de dagspecialiteit eggs benedict aangeboden die we ook besteld hebben. Ik heb al vaker eggs benedict gegeten, maar dit ei was koud alsof het uit de koeling kwam net als de saus die daardoor erg dik was en de smaken niet goed uitkwamen. Snap best dat je op drukke dagen voorbereidingen doet zodat het allemaal vlot loopt alleen was het niet druk en is het misschien beter iets als dagspecialiteit aan te bieden wat beter tot zijn recht komt.

I recently dined at Meraqi and my overall experience was very positive. Calamary fries were served as a starter, a dish that immediately caught the eye. The calamary was excellently balanced, with a vibrant color contrast that enhanced the fresh taste. The bread board was also a unique highlight: instead of the usual baguette, steaming hot pitta bread was chosen, which was served with a portion of flaky salt and matching sauces, a surprising twist that enriched the experience. As a main course I ordered a 300 gram ribeye steak, served with perfectly prepared vegetables and a light, flavorful puree. I also chose to have a butter sauce on the side, which went great with the steak. There was clearly great attention to detail in every part of the dish. It was noticeable that my steak, which I ordered medium, was ultimately served closer to medium well, almost well done. Considering it was the hottest day of the year, it is understandable that the grill temperature may not have been fully adapted to the warmer weather after a long winter. The service at Meraqi was commendable overall. The service was well trained and professional, although there were some minor points of attention: my wine glass appeared to be somewhat dirty upon arrival and the water glass showed clear scratches. Despite these minor imperfections, my experience at Meraqi was excellent.

Last night I took my parents to Meraqi Beneden-Leeuwen. We ate here for the first time and we are very positive about this beautiful restaurant! Very atmospherically decorated and a beautiful bar and open kitchen. Everything was really delicious; bread board with warm bread, delicious starters (burrata, vitello tonnato, tomato soup and tuna). Then we enjoyed the sea bass (with nice crispy skin), grilled salmon and the 2 children ate from the children's menu. The service was also really great; very friendly and attentive, but not too present. For us, definitely worth repeating!!

It's probably the best burger I have eaten. The place is in the center with parking spaces in the neighborhood. The personnel is kind, and the food gets to your table very quickly. The burger is very juicy and cooked medium-rare as i like. Very generously filled with tasty ingredients.

Cozy restaurant with an Asian shared dining concept. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Toilets were very clean. Unfortunately, the dishes were disappointing. The Crispy Tuna Nigiri can't really be called a nigiri since it's a giant nigiri and it wasn't even crispy, rice was very limp, soggy and had no taste and the tuna was almost impossible to find. It could also be that my expectations were too high since I expected the crispy tuna nigiri like at Izakaya/Mr. Sam and that's just how it should be here. The Caesar salad also didn't meet my expectations, chicken was dry with a strange seasoning so it didn't taste like a fresh salad and why dry bread instead of croutons? The only plus point is that they weren't stingy with the parmesan cheese. In addition, my entire coat, clothes and hair started to stink of that fire pit smell from outside at the entrance of your place, which is very annoying.

Professional and attractive! Correct reception upon entry. Nice menu with wide choice. Surprising starters: vitello tonato and a burrata with pistachio, tomato puree and luckily with Iberico ham. Delicious! Main courses: Cod and a well prepared tournedos with truffle gravy. We enjoyed it. From the smoothly running kitchen to the service that makes you feel like you matter. Warm, cordial; professional. Finally, a dessert with a fire fountain for my birthday. Hats off

Delicious food and good service. Atmospheric restaurant, but a bit noisy

The food was really good and delicious! The flavors were top notch and clearly prepared with care. The staff was friendly, but seemed very rushed. Communication was sometimes difficult to follow, and glasses, bottles and plates were quickly removed from the table, which felt uneasy. While having drinks and chatting, the bill was unexpectedly placed on the table, which broke the atmosphere a bit.

A cozy warm friendly restaurant with delicious food.

Aankomst bijna gelijktijdig met de eigenaar/bedrijfsleider/personeelslid?, omdat hij buiten nog wat aan een vertrekkende klant had afgegeven. Hij was verrast dat wij hem hadden voorgelaten, eenmaal binnen liep hij zonder naar ons om te kijken weg. Door een ander personeelslid werden wij naar ons tafel verwezen, dus ondanks reservering niet eens er naartoe gebracht. Aan tafel is het nog tot een drankje en de menukaart gekomen, daarna werden wij straal genegeerd. Omdat naast ons niet één maar zelf twéé verschillende tafels van mensen die na ons waren binnengekomen reeds uitgebreid werden bediend vroegen wij of wij ook eens mochten bestellen. Onze opmerking over de volgorde van bediening viel helemaal verkeerd, meneer bleef maar volhouden dat wij niet te lang hadden gewacht.

Very tasty meal! Tent feels and looks chic but is not fancy or anything... We were able to use the shared dining principle very smoothly, where we had chosen 4 starters to share. The choice from the +/- 16 starters was quite difficult.. But that gives a reason to come back again 😁 We couldn't choose what we liked best, it was all good! Then we ate 2 more desserts together and ended the evening with a good feeling. We will definitely come back here.

Delicious food in a great atmosphere

I had a good meal here 3 times, but this time (gave dinner to neighbors) pretty worthless. Music much too loud. Couldn't hear the staff when serving. I later turned it down, but conversation was not fun at the table. Shrimp were in pieces on the plate, cod with fries without anything added! Vegetables were supposed to come but were not brought. A free cup of coffee can't make up for this.

Leuke inrichting (tip, ga aan de bar zitten, krijg je meteen een kijkje in de keuken) gezellig en vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk eten. Wij hadden als starter een broodplankje, vooraf de Aziatische oesters en als hoofdgerecht mijn man een entrecote met Aziatische jus de veau ik een bavette met truffel-eekhoorntjesbroodsaus. Als toetje mijn man een Irisch coffee en ik de Ferrero Rocher bomb (mmmmmm). Echt een aanrader. Wij komen zeker terug!

9 November 2024 Wij hebben hier gegeten. De voorgerechten waren heerlijk. De Bavette was helaas een beetje taai. De Zeebaars kwam met kop en staart aan tafel, wat niet prettig was om het op deze manier te consumeren! Dit had vermeld moeten staan op de menukaart. De tafels staan teveel op elkaar waardoor je geen bewegingsvrijheid hebt om aan tafel te gaan zitten zonder de ander te storen. Verder is het sfeervol ingericht met een open keuken.

Goed ingericht restaurant met irritante muziek. Menukaart getuigt van fantasie maar voldoet niet aan vereisten voor een goede maaltijd: groenten of sla zijn met een vergrootglas te zoeken, en altijd maar die eeuwige friet, friet, friet om koolhydraten binnen te krijgen ... en dan ook daarvan een klein bakje voor een groep hongerige mannen. Vervelend als je met een behoorlijk gezelschap komt en telkens weer om een nieuw bakje moet vragen. Ze komen wel om de haverklap langs of je nog wat wilt drinken (alcohol en zo), maar als je gewoon om een glas water (naast de wijn) vraagt moet je een paar keer zeuren ....

Een gezellig etentje gehad in de fijne setting van Meraqi. Het interieur is erg mooi en zorgt voor een goede sfeer. De gerechten zijn verfijnd en smaakvol, je proeft dat men waarde hecht aan kwaliteit. Waar ontbrak het aan voor vijf sterren? We hebben drie verbeterpunten: het gelijktijdig uitserveren van alle gerechten van het tafelgezelschap. Hier zat behoorlijk tijd tussen waardoor gerechten afgekoeld zijn, dit is niet zoals het hoort en zonde van de kwaliteit. Daarnaast probeert men de wijnen in te schenken aan tafel, helaas is de beheersing van een dienblad met een aantal flessen onvoldoende waardoor de bediening meerdere keren aan tafel moet komen. Dit ervaarden wij als storend. Daar waar een gastvrouw of -heer doorgaans onzichtbaar maar toch aanwezig mag zijn. Tot slot nog een aanbeveling: er worden mosselen geserveerd in een sfeervol pannetje zonder een extra couvert waardoor je uit de pan moet eten. Een vochtig doekje zou daarnaast ook niet mogen ontbreken bij schaaldieren. Al met al is de prijskwaliteit goed in verhouding en zouden wij zeker nog eens teruggaan om te zien of onze feedback ter harte is genomen.

Restaurant Meraqi is an absolute favorite for us! The food is delicious and is prepared in an open kitchen, which always creates a nice atmosphere and extra confidence in the quality of the dishes. The menu is extensive and offers unique dishes and flavor combinations that you will not easily find elsewhere. The **Suicide Burger** is an absolute must – a true explosion of flavor with every bite. The combination of ingredients creates a great experience. We recently ordered a mini version of the Suicide Burger for our daughter, without gorgonzola but with cheese and pulled pork. She loved it! It's also very nice that they offer an adapted version for the little ones. In short, Meraqi is a restaurant where we would like to return for delicious food, surprising dishes and a nice, hospitable atmosphere. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic place for a cozy and delicious meal. One of the waitresses told us that MERAQI stands for PASSION. This was noticeable in the taste of the food (delicious menu) and the enthusiasm of all the staff. Highly recommended!

Following good reports about Meraqi, we reserved a table there. Reception was most friendly. Then it turned out that the staff had not yet been fully trained...wrong drinks at the wrong tables, wrong wine for the wrong person and having to ask for the menu. The dishes turned out not to be what we expected, the kohlrabi consisted of three slices with some curry sauce on top, a bit plain. The bavette was tender and had a good taste, but I expected more from the gremolata, here too simple and all in all a bit too easy. Ultimately we decided to leave desert for what it is and end the evening at the ice cream parlor nearby.

Enjoyed it wonderfully, it was a bit more special and luxurious than we are used to. Beautiful combinations

New review 2023: (3 stars) Still a very nice atmosphere and design, but today a bit disappointed compared to a year ago. Tea was not hot, soup was not hot, long waiting times (for menu cards/bills for example, but also for drinks/food). In terms of food, I had the tomato soup; extremely tasty! But not really warm. I also had the chicken camikaze, which was very disappointing; a few small pieces of chicken and the rest overloaded with lettuce, red cabbage, avocado, sauce, etc. All very dominant and intense in taste. Not my favorite. A plus: they do great when it comes to gluten-free! Delicious gluten-free bread and soup neatly gluten-free. —> addition: dinner has few options! Shame!

Had dinner there yesterday. Wasn't the best experience, first a tray of wine was thrown over me, which can happen. Then we waited over an hour for our main course. The meat would be cooked medium, I happily put my knife in it and guess what? Just raw inside. I have it removed again with the promise that the next one would be cooked medium. And after half an hour still nothing on my plate. We had already been waiting there for 90 minutes for our food and then we just got out... No, we will never go there again

Dit nooit meer Eerst krijg je een dienblad wijn over je heen .Kan gebeuren dacht ik .maar daarna een uur op ons eten gewacht .Vlees medium besteld en eindelijk komen ze het brengen ik vrolijk mijn mes erin gezet en weer pech. Vlees goed rauw van binnen Laat het weghalen met de belofte dat er een nieuw stuk vlees zou komen .Vervolgens weer een half uur gewacht en toen maar opgestaan en gezegd dat het niet meer hoeft. Even wachten is oké maar dik 90 min was ons teveel. Nee mij zien ze daar nooit meer
