We had a fantastic wedding cake made by misz baksel. It not only looked delicious, it tasted great too! Exactly what we wanted, and the communication was great. I definitely recommend it to everyone 😀

We've been getting our daughter's birthday cake from Misz Baksel Mariska for three years now, and it's been a hit every time. But we don't eat a single bite before we've thoroughly studied it, because it's always so beautiful! You can choose any theme. Bobo, Paw Patrol, and Deep Under the Sea are the themes we've already considered. I'm curious to see which theme our daughter will choose next year. But I already know the cake will be a hit, because we're having Mariska make it again!

The products look nice. The contact is curt and impersonal (very fast, by the way). A design may not be possible, but if you are in the party business, some friendliness is not an unnecessary luxury.

Very nice and very professional. Lots of choice of flavors, colors and (almost) nothing is too crazy.. Thinks carefully about ideas! Many options.. Chocolate.. cakes for weddings, parties, birthdays, cake smash, cupcakes, donuts, etc., entirely according to your wishes!

U Bake Meppel certainly has good, tasty bread and pastries, etc. Friendly staff. But unfortunately, the staff can't count very well. If you order or order half a loaf of white bread, you only get 8 slices and a slice of bread. I've been getting this for weeks, even though half a whole loaf should be 11 slices and a slice of bread. I've mentioned it a few times, but unfortunately, they can't share fairly. It's the boss's job to teach the employees to share.

Zomerdijk 31Always delicious cake/pastry, etc. I ordered a cake online but accidentally entered the wrong date, a week later than I needed it. Even though it was my own mistake, they arranged it for me right away. And I could still pick it up. Thanks again!

Grote Oever 2On November 29, 2025, I bought oliebollen (Dutch doughnuts) without raisins in Meppel around 11 a.m. What a flavorless dough, inedible, and at €1.30, it's outrageously expensive. It's light and airy, but a truly expensive dough without even a single flavor. I won't be back. Not recommended. And that from a bakery that was still well-known in 2024? It was to be expected. The bread is also much less flavorful than a few years ago.

Prinsengracht 10After a good conversation and a handshake, I'm revising my review. A difference of opinion always remains, and proving it is always difficult. But for two days, the toilet was my best friend, so to speak. I certainly don't mean any harm to the case, but the fact is the fact. A good conversation does have a positive impact. On to new opportunities, so to speak, and a better outcome.
