A lovely Italian restaurant with a fine menu and very friendly service. Prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is appealing.

If I want to get a nice expensive appetizer, nice place. If you wanna do something against your hunger, don’t go here. Really disappointed. After spending over 80€ we can go to some other place after, just to get rid of our hunger.

We received a warm welcome with our small child, which isn't always the case, and then enjoyed very tasty, obviously homemade pasta and tiramisu. We didn't try the pizza. Since the pasta portions, as is common in many Italian restaurants, aren't huge, we recommend ordering a dessert or a small appetizer. Overall, a definite recommendation.

Warm and humorous service, pampered like at Mamma's, delicious crispy pizza just like in Italy - unfortunately, the tiramisu was already sold out… otherwise, we would have treated ourselves to another one 😉

We arrived with a group of 11 people shortly before closing time and received a warm welcome. The service was excellent and the pizzas were handmade and fresh from the wood-fired oven.

The place was about to be closed but stayed open for us. Excellent service, fast and friendly with tasty food. A strong recommendation 🍻👏

Unfortunately, this restaurant no longer lives up to all the reviews published here. The "highlight" from the Parmesan wheel was a complete disappointment for €25. It was too mushy and the flavor was somehow off. Definitely not good and not the "specialty" that was promised and even touted as such by the owner – it only looked good while being prepared. The T-bone steak was far too thin, overcooked, and not served on a hot lava stone as described. At least it was politely taken back and I didn't have to pay for it, which speaks to the reasonably good service. Instead, I had spaghetti with clams – the clams were good. The rest was just ordinary pasta swimming in oil with a bit of garlic. So, all in all, the food was mediocre, and the service could be improved in terms of attentiveness and coordination. Otherwise, everyone seemed quite friendly, and the seating was comfortable.

Food was acceptable, but what was disappointing was 3.95€ for tap water. Tap water.... not bottled or with gas, but a plastic cup from the tap. And no bread, despite being an Italian. At the end of the day it's a tourist trap.

The food is good but nothing special. Just a tasty meal. I had brought a digital gift card. They refused to accept it, only the physical cards. The gentleman did not have an app or tablet with which he could scan the card. Very annoying. If I had known this, I would not have eaten here but at another restaurant. The trick worked for the gentleman; we were "lured" inside and paid for everything by card. The farewell was, of course, silent and cold. I am now home sad and disappointed. It was supposed to be a special evening, but it didn't turn out that way.

Perfect evening, very friendly staff and good food!

My girlfriend ordered a white wine and a glass of water. The waiter indicated that no water had come out of his tap for 9 years, so we could only order a bottle of water—strange and certainly not customer-friendly. We had eaten; the food wasn't bad, but not great either. The waiter came by and asked if we wanted dessert. We declined, and within 10 seconds, a card machine was shoved under our noses. So, we didn't get the chance to order another drink either. A rude experience, so they won't be seeing us again.

Yesterday I spontaneously ate tortellini at an Italian restaurant; it was very delicious.

The staff were very friendly. The pizza was delicious and the spaghetti carbonara was really excellent (no mass-produced cream sauce). I highly recommend it.

I can only agree with the previous reviewer that these pizzas are definitely not Neapolitan pizza. We were there today in a restaurant that wasn't full, with our dog and toddler. I was glad we could bring the dog. We were able to order drinks relatively quickly and then ordered bread with oil as a starter so we could give our son something. I'm not familiar with ordering that separately. Usually, it's placed on the table from the beginning, especially in the mid-price range. After two tables next to us had been paid, new guests were seated there, and they received their food before us, we went to ask where our food was. Suddenly, it was ready very quickly. It has to be said that our food was simply forgotten. In a restaurant that wasn't full, and we were the only ones there with a toddler who had actually managed to sit still until then. But after almost an hour, when our food finally arrived, our child had lost interest. Then, suddenly, we were asked if we needed a high chair, and a coloring book and crayons were brought to us. All of this happened only after we had to ask about our food. We actually wanted to order dessert and an espresso, but we didn't have time because of the long wait. The food itself was quite tasty, but as mentioned above, it wasn't Neapolitan pizza. In my experience with good restaurants, if someone forgets your order, they usually offer a complimentary drink or appetizer. But even the overpriced baguette with the olive oil was charged.

Delicious food - and the staff are super friendly! Highly recommended.

The food was great, yes, the staff speak poor Dutch, just like me! English is no problem. The restaurant is on a side street, which isn't a problem; you can eat well here!

Starter: Italian bread – three slices of very dry baguette, accompanied by what was supposed to be olive oil... It was a reddish oil with absolutely no flavor. Main course: Tortellini with ham and cream sauce – there was no cream sauce at all, and instead of ham, there was some bacon. Penne pasta could be picked out several times. The portion size was more suitable for small children.

The "Italian bread with 3 ingredients" looks a lot like three different types of pre-baked baguette (that's what the ingredients refer to). The olive oil is reddish and tastes of nothing. The penne arrabbiata are unfortunately not at all al dente, and the sauce resembles canned Barilla sauce. Very watery and drenched in oil. The wait was over 1.5 hours. One more small note: Parmesan is not vegetarian, but it's marked as such on the menu.

Great service, good food. Centrally located.

The food was delicious and the price was reasonable. We had Margherita pizza and tagliatelle with salmon. Our highlight, however, was a very pleasant and attentive waiter who was very cheerful and fun to be around. We were able to communicate well in both German and English.

The Vulkan Teig pizza was a huge disappointment. It also wasn't cooked through. The Margherita was bland and uninspiring. The service was very friendly. The place looked clean.

The dishes were very tasty, but incredibly small. The mixed grill platter for €24 consisted of three pieces of meat weighing a maximum of 200g each, without any side dishes. Unfortunately, they didn't mention that the fries cost an extra €5. The service was otherwise very friendly, but even the pasta portion was tiny.

The tiramisu is very good and pizza is good too but pasta is a bit so so because I don’t like bacon really really good

Great pizza and pasta. Despite this, the prices are comparatively reasonable.

The pizza tasted of absolutely nothing; neither the dough nor the tomato sauce was seasoned. The ham and mushrooms were equally tasteless. The spaghetti was okay, but you don't need to go to a restaurant for that. All in all, we wouldn't eat there again, especially since there are so many really good restaurants in the area.

The central location continues to prove a decisive advantage. The food quality was appealing and the price-performance ratio was reasonable. The menu selection is clearly laid out. Unfortunately, individual adjustments (e.g., regarding the bread) were not possible, and the option of separate billing could not be implemented due to a lack of flexibility.

I've never eaten such good Italian food outside of Italy. The price-performance ratio is 100% perfect. Thank you, we'll be back.

I'd give it even fewer stars if I could. It's advertised as Neapolitan pizza, and this was even confirmed upon inquiry. In the end, it's just a (bad) pizza from a fast-food joint or supermarket. Absolutely unacceptable. The crust is soft, the cheese isn't tasty, and the toppings are bland. I really wouldn't recommend it. It has absolutely nothing to do with an Italian pizza. A real shame for the price.

I ordered a supposedly Neapolitan pizza to take away. As you can see in the photo, what I received is what I got. Please change that on the menu; it was a complete disappointment.

Prices far too high; the food doesn't justify the price at all. The spaghetti, like the mixed salad, was drenched in oil. Bruschetta for 9 euros.

Too expensive for the quality of food.

Delicious pasta and a cozy and inviting terrace. It was another wonderful evening.

The food was a bit disappointing. The pizza was tasty but the starter is not recommended, especially not for those prices. It is not good value for money. The price is too high for what you get. The staff almost all speak English and do not come across as very friendly. We were welcomed by a woman but the service etc. were less friendly. The atmosphere in the restaurant is fine but I would not come back here to eat out.

We were there for the first time with our dog, and he received such a warm welcome. The staff spoke German and were very kind and attentive. The portions were very generous and reasonably priced, although it must be said that it wasn't expensive.

The service tries to be friendly. Whether everyone understands everything isn't clear. Instead of a bottle of house wine, the bill was for a much more expensive wine. The lasagna was a very, very small portion, and no bread is served with the vitello tonnato; you can purchase a bread basket for €6. Only select guests get a free nightcap; a bill of €90 for two isn't enough for that. If I have to complain about the bill, I won't go there again.

The food was delicious, we didn't wait long. I recommend the "SPAGHETTI AL PARMIGGIANO". The restaurant was full and quite noisy. The portions were very large.

Mercilessly overwhelmed, communication poor. Food could have been improved. The initial information, which stated it would take "a while," turned into a wait of almost two hours. When this was pointed out, the waiter argued that this couldn't be right. As compensation, a drink on the house was offered—for simplicity's sake, water was ordered. Of course, nothing came.

Good food, but disappointing service We were here for dinner. The mussels as an appetizer were really very good, and the pizza later on was also delicious. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired: Although we were brought drinks at the beginning, we weren't asked once during the rest of our stay if we wanted anything else. The wait for the pizza was also unusually long, with no response from the staff. Another point of criticism: We asked for some bread with the mussels (which already cost €25) – although they brought it, we were charged an extra €6, which we find incomprehensible. For that price, we would have expected at least a small side dish. The food was really good, but the service was inattentive and disappointing. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the restaurant for this reason.

We actually wanted to go to another Italian restaurant, but it was closed. We arrived early, the restaurant had just opened, and we could choose our own seating. The server wasn't Italian, but she spoke good English, and communication was very good. Ordering was quick and seamless. Special requests were no problem either. The food came super quickly. I prefer grilled vegetables on pizza; it has a bit more flavor, but the vegetables were definitely fresh and NOT from a can. Our son then spontaneously asked for fries, which also arrived super quickly and was delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant, there was Italian music playing, and the staff mostly spoke in Italian. I definitely don't understand the negative reviews.

First of all I Had metal-screw in my Lasagna... Otherwise the food and the place were allright. A Bit odd was that the waiter asked me If i wanted to keep eating the Lasagna after i told him about the screw. In the end i did Not have to pay the Lasagna.

Had a great meal there, very good calzone. My table companions were also more than satisfied.

Ask for a table for two in Dutch and receive a German card. A bottle of white wine is placed on the table without a cooler and is not poured. Order fries once as an extra and we will receive two small bowls of fries, €10 in fries on the bill. Staff are constantly on their smartphones. Food was quite ok. Atmosphereless.

Great, affordable restaurant with exceptional specialties

Not a good first impression, which, as we all know, counts. My pregnant wife politely asked to use the toilet, but was rudely refused and told it was only for guests. You certainly won't get any new guests that way, but why bother if the store is empty anyway?

Perfect ! Welcoming staff, delicious cuisine, a fairly calm atmosphere which may displease some but for me it was very good! 🙂

Definitely a good choice if you’re up for some good Italian food when you’re in Zandvoort. Everything is fresh, the pasta is home made and the pizza’s are absolutely great (good dough that has been risen for 12 hours). Tip: with pizza’s you also have the option to get ‘black dough’ with activated charcoal. It’s a nice gimmick, but I personally wouldn’t recommend it. As for desert, I can recommend the Tiramisu (home made). The Dame Blanche and Lemon Cake are decent but nothing special.

Definitely the 2nd time there will be back. Nice boss and staff.
