The food was way too salty and greasy, and we didn't get any vegetables with it. The fries were good, though, and nicely presented. It is a nice location. In short, not recommended.

I've been here for the second time; the first time for dinner with the family, and now for lunch with girlfriends. The menu is extensive with plenty of choice for everyone. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and they have a great outdoor terrace. One downside, in my opinion, is the acoustics inside, which makes the sound from others overwhelming/loud. As a result, you tend to speak louder yourself. (Unfortunately, I experienced this both times) Furthermore, you have to pay for parking at the Pathé; they do not have their own parking facilities.

Very nice location by the lake. Fine service, but the food downright bad. I had fries with stewed meat; a very large, deep plate full of fries with a dollop of stewed meat on top. A construction worker wouldn't be able to finish it. The fries were very soggy because of that gunk on top; a cook is supposed to know that! And it was downright disgusting. I ate one soggy fry and a little bit of stewed meat. I won't be eating here again. Sorry.

We have eaten at Moeke Ede very often, purely because we know that you are guaranteed to get good and fresh food there. Today we went out for the day and ended up at Moeke in Nijmegen. We hadn't made a reservation, but we got a nice table outside. We somehow already knew that this would definitely taste good, and it did. Both the meat and the fish were well prepared and tasty. The mussels were okay too. Bread roll beforehand, delicious! The service was very good, and it was nice that the gentleman also came over for a chat. Nice to see; unfortunately, you don't see that very often anymore.

We came to Moeke with a group of 8 people to enjoy a meal with family who were visiting especially from France. Unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing. We waited patiently and, in the meantime, saw several groups that arrived after us simply being served and shown to a table. We were eventually sent away in a very unfriendly and disrespectful manner. There was absolutely no polite or hospitable communication with us, and precisely because we were with family who had come all the way from France, this felt particularly unpleasant and embarrassing. I understand that it can be busy and that certain rules or reservations may apply. We have every understanding for that. But the way this was presented and how we were treated was absolutely not customer-friendly. As a guest, you are entitled to expect, at the very least, to be spoken to in a normal, polite, and respectful manner. What sticks with us most is that other groups that arrived later were served, while we, as a group of 8, were sent away without a clear and proper explanation. That really gave us the feeling that we were not welcome. For a place where you specifically want to get together with family in a pleasant atmosphere, I find this very disappointing. I can understand a busy business, but I find unfriendliness and a lack of respect towards customers unacceptable. Hopefully, more attention will be paid to this in the future, because with a little hospitality and normal communication, this situation could have turned out very differently.

Large restaurant with a beautiful terrace. There is a separate area for swimmers just in front of the terrace. Service is okay. Order a snack and enjoy.

Nice place for drinks or lunch by the water in the summer. The staff is friendly! The food, however, is really too simple. It gives you the feeling that you are preparing the same thing at home, whereas you expect a bit more from a restaurant. It is a bit simple/basic.

Lovely spot by the Lentse Plas. Large outdoor terrace. We sat at a picnic table. The weather was beautiful, so we enjoyed watching all the children swimming and playing in the sand and in the water. The schnitzel and the rosé tasted excellent. The fries that came with it were tasty, but actually too much. Nice place, excellent service, and delicious food. Highly recommended! Funny, by the way, that you can also book a sauna. Oh, one downside: parking is paid – on the Pathe grounds. We paid €5 for 2 hours.

I had a delicious lunch and dinner at Moeke, and had a drink in between; so I am a customer all day long! Now my car is parked in a disabled parking space (I have a card) on their premises. And in between, I was at the beach. I get a note on my car stating that they noticed my car has been parked there all day, and that there are also disabled parking spaces at Pathe. I politely walked inside to indicate that I am a customer here all day. Even so, at Moeke, it is apparently not allowed to park there! 🤷‍♀️ because it is busy and I have to make room for others. Well, I went inside a few times and the spot next to me was occupied only once, and for a very short time. Why am I not allowed to park there if I am a customer? Do they expect me to park at Pathe while I am eating and drinking there all day? Even after my calm explanation, I received an answer that I can park at Pathe... so customer-friendly, Moeke! I am not going to eat/drink/park there anymore. I didn't think starting a discussion was worth the effort either, but I do think writing a review is justified! That is why the service and atmosphere get 1 star! The staff, however, was friendly and top-notch! PS: I didn't have a trolley with me. But the female manager that day made it very clear to me in an unfriendly manner that I could just park at Pathé regardless of how much I eat/drink there. So, with this, you have also lost a customer who comes there often, even without ever lying or sitting on the beach in between.

An incredibly lovely place. We had beautiful weather, so we could sit outside with a view of the water. Naturally, we had Moeke's special: fries with stew and dessert afterwards (see photo). No idea how I thought I would manage to finish it all beforehand 😅 but it was really delicious. Very friendly staff, but at a certain point, a bit too much so! Our conversation was interrupted a little too often to ask if everything was still to our liking. But oh well, if that's the worst thing to complain about 😉

What a super nice place this is! Beautifully situated by the water, with a small beach. Allergies are handled exceptionally well. They consult with the kitchen and take them into account for the entire dinner. Highly recommended. Friendly service. They know what they are doing.

Having eaten and drunk here a few times by now, we have discovered that this is a really nice place. The food is always perfectly fine; not outstanding, but simply good. It is pleasant to sit here in virtually all seasons, with the beautiful view of the lake. In the summer, it is truly lovely to end up on the terrace after a morning at the beach, but it is also perfectly fine for a quick drink after a visit to the cinema. Prices aren't very cheap, but that's not really the case anywhere anymore. In short, a very nice and versatile place.

I celebrated my 50th birthday party here, in the upstairs room with the terrace. I had such a great time! We were very pleased with the room and the terrace. The BBQ was tasty, and there was more than enough. It was a bit chilly, but the heaters and blankets were helpful. The service was really great. Gerald was incredibly hospitable right from the start and made a great impression on us and our guests. The other two also helped us pleasantly, but I didn't remember their names. The packages (BBQ, including options for vegetarians, vegans, and allergies, and Dutch drinks) met our expectations and we really enjoyed them. Our DJ had a nice spot and it was great that he could play some good music. It was nice that we could use the TV for our photo app Kiekje, which the guests were using. It was nice that we received 10 parking tokens to hand out to the guests and make parking nearby so affordable. All in all, really great! Thank you for the good service!

Very unfriendly service. Lovely weather, but not allowed to eat or drink at the terrace tables on the beach side. Consequence: no view of small children near the open water, with all the associated risks. Making a fuss just for the sake of making a fuss. I am a regular customer, but I will never come back like this. We left without eating or drinking, even though we had driven 30 minutes specifically for it. Update: see the many bad reviews on Tripadvisor, much lower than on Google. At this rate, no one will come back soon. Update following a response: I offered several times to take a table where the terrace was open and for my children and us to finish our drinks at the empty tables on the beach side (and to set them up there myself). Then we would sit down to eat afterwards in the ‘open’ part of the terrace. However, nothing was possible and I was treated so unkindly each time that we left. Unprofessional and simply annoying.

Nice restaurant in terms of decor and location, clean. Friendly staff who were very helpful when it got a bit noisy (turned the music volume down a bit and moved to a quieter table). If it gets really busy, you probably won't be able to avoid that. Great selection of drinks and pastries. I haven't eaten there yet, but what others had looked good. The paid parking (at the cinema) is well organized thanks to the discount and the option to pay via QR code.

A lot of nuisance on the beach. Guests just sit on the beach to eat, and there is a lot of litter.

We dined with a group of 7. The food was delicious, the price was good, and the service was friendly. However, what I found really bad was that 2 desserts arrived at least 10 minutes before the others. As a result, those 2 were almost finished before the rest arrived (and one was completely forgotten, but we didn't have to pay for it, so that was good service). That's why 4 stars instead of 5.

Out for the day on my own, and after a visit to the cinema, I wanted to have lunch here. I had never been before, so I walked across the terrace looking for a place to go inside. Outside was packed (it was 32 degrees), and the only spots left were in the full sun. As I was entering, I ran into a staff member who greeted me kindly. Once inside, there were a number of people eating scattered across tables. I wanted to take a seat when a staff member asked if he could help me. I indicated that I wanted a bite to eat and that the only seats left outside were in the sun. Then I was told that there was a queue outside (?) and that I could join it because a staff member was supposed to be there? (I didn't see anyone). But inside was closed, so I couldn't take a seat there. Disappointed, I walked outside. I actually never come to this town and had been looking forward to a spontaneous lunch. The place looks cozy. It is a real shame that things turned out this way, especially since there were definitely people sitting inside. I got the feeling that one person 'wasn't worth the effort'. Hopefully, I sensed that wrong.

We had to wait well over 20 minutes before someone came to take our order. I had to ask myself if we could order, while 4 employees at the entrance were doing practically nothing (other than chatting with each other). At that moment, it wasn't actually that busy on the terrace/restaurant. The burgers were fine, by the way, but relatively expensive, and the location was nice. Had a good meal after the movie, just a real shame about the poor service at the bar.

This is where the staff at Moeke make the difference; they are real stars. They genuinely enjoy making your coffee, lunch, or dinner even better than just good food.

Last time (six months ago) problems with the wait staff. Young people (18-25?) hanging at the bar; barely paying attention to guests.... Today. Had a drink outside. Went wrong; wrong beer! Can happen, of course. Had a bite to eat inside; had to wait about an hour for a burger and a portion of spare ribs. Next to us too! How difficult can it be to prepare these dishes??? Grabbed into the kitchen; 3-4 young people (in their twenties) dressed in black. Kitchen brigade??? Busy with each other (just like the wait staff last time....) busy with smartphones; Coke in hand.... Sad! Where is the management here? Where are the experienced adults who can lead? Good concept goes horribly wrong here! A terrible waste of this restaurant; it could be a success! Maybe teenagers and twenty-somethings get this? We certainly don't!!! Next time back to Brazz... We had a delicious lunch, and then watched a movie at Pathé. A fantastic combination.

On valentine's day ❤️ it was busy!!! A reservation was required. The food was so good, even in a full restaurant the food came quick. The food was hot, fresh and so tasty. We had the snitzel with mushroom sauce. I will go back for that food daily. The servers were really nice and attentive. The only problem we had was parking, with so many people parking was extremely scarce, we managed to wedge ourself into a makeshift parking. On non holiday days there is enough parking. I also absolutely adore the kitty at the door. The story goes she is a random cat that always comes to the restaurants entrance to just nap and enjoy the atmosphere of Moekes. The cat does have an owner. This is the sweetest story. If the cat loves Moekes so much who am I to say otherwise. 100% would recommend 👌

I reserved a table for 9 people between Christmas and New Year's. Upon arrival, I expected a crowd at the entrance. A slight delay at the entrance. The staff was working at full speed, which was understandable. Being escorted to the table could take a few minutes. I, aged 50 and over, decided to wait for the crowds at the entrance and announce my arrival as soon as it calmed down. However, before I had a chance, I was sternly reprimanded. My explanation that I wanted to wait for the right moment was interrupted three times by a lecture about how things didn't work that way. I fully understand house rules, but this derogatory lecture was truly over the top. After this lecture, I lost my appetite and decided to leave the building. I didn't feel welcome. I heard from eight other guests that the rest of the evening was fine and the food delicious. Who knows, maybe I'll try again in the future.

The menu listed tender steak with shrimp: The steak was ordered as medium rare, but it was served "well done." That was a huge disappointment! Especially since the price-quality ratio wasn't right. They asked if I wanted a different steak, but that was too late... The beef tips in the overly warm salad were just as steak should be: tender and medium rare to rare. Not recommended.

We had lunch at Moeke's today. We sat at a cozy table with a lovely atmosphere. However, we found the price-quality ratio a bit off! A meatball with two slices of bread for €14.25 is quite expensive! It's great that we got a discount on our parking (at the cinema) 😌

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, I had lunch at Moeke in Nijmegen. Parking was plentiful due to the variety of things to do on the premises. Paid parking is required. Moeke's interior is very nice, with beautiful industrial lamps and lovely, atmospheric signs. We didn't arrive until around 2:30, so it wasn't busy for lunch. A friendly young man helped us to our table, listing the extras on the menu. I went for the eggs benedict, and my companion chose the avocado toast. Both tasted fine, but weren't exactly wowing. You could tell they were fresh and neatly prepared. During our meal, they came by to ask if we wanted anything else to drink, which was great service. We didn't have to wait long to pay either.

Just a cocktail at Moeke's after the movie. We ordered a mojito and an "Auntie Tinie." We tasted very little alcohol, and the mojito simply didn't have any. We returned this to the waitress and checked if we actually had a mojito instead of a nojito. She assured us it was a mojito, but if we weren't satisfied, we'd get a new one. She then returned, explaining that it was possible we couldn't taste the alcohol because of the sugar in the drink. If we wanted a new one, we would be charged for it. We're 40 years old and know when we taste alcohol. It was just a sour water drink. My "Auntie Tinie" was sweeter, and we did taste the alcohol in it. It's a shame we weren't taken seriously. You pay 10 euros for a glass of lemonade like this.

Delicious food. Extensive lunch and dinner menu. Fast and efficient service. The location seems like it's in the middle of nowhere, but it's actually quite convenient, with waterfront access, a beach, and a cinema and arcade next door.

Service wasn't as expected. I ordered a burger and fries from Mom. The fries were still glassy (not cooked through), the burger was overcooked and very dry. The bun was also very dry. The burger was supposed to have bacon, but it had ham. Not good value for money. Unfriendly staff. Not recommended!

Just back from a fantastic evening at Moeke Nijmegen! What an atmosphere, really cozy and welcoming. The staff is super friendly and attentive. I had the spareribs and they were absolutely delicious, so tender the meat fell off the bone. My friend had the burger and that was also great. Good portions and the price is great. Definitely recommended if you're in Nijmegen!
