First time dining at a cozy location. The initially boisterous atmosphere calmed down later. We drank two glasses of Cava and had a bread platter. We both had pil pil shrimp (delicious) as starters, and my bestie had the cod. I had the tenderloin with pepper sauce and diced onion, carrot, bell pepper, and zucchini. Fries and salad were served with it. Finally, I had coffee and a shot of Liqueur 43. It was a pleasant evening. We will definitely go back again!

To give you an idea: coffee was €1.50 and cappuccino €1.80. After much thought, we could only find one minor downside: our coats weren't taken at the entrance. That's the only negative point worth mentioning. The total bill came to €65.60. Normally, we spend more per person. The food here is excellent and very affordable. Although inflation has increased here too, and this is usually reflected in the new menus. Ideal if you want to take children to a "real" restaurant. In the summer, you can sit outside, and in the winter, there's plenty of room inside, provided you reserve well in advance.

We return here time and time again. Even now, with a 9-month-old child, we had a wonderful evening!

The staff is super friendly and helpful. One dish wasn't to our liking, so we returned it, but the new one arrived very quickly and with apologies. The menu isn't particularly extensive, but there's something for everyone.

Very surprising. Based on the good reviews on Google, we booked a table at Montimar. That wasn't easy, as everything was booked weeks in advance. Due to a cancelled table, we managed to get in last minute, and we were very happy about that. The restaurant, located in a charming old building, is a bit out of the way. The atmosphere is overwhelmingly cozy. The restaurant was packed on a Thursday evening, but despite that, the atmosphere is warm. Given the low prices on the menu, we didn't know what to expect. Smaller portions? Less delicious food? Long wait times? None of that. The young, driven team runs like a engine, perfectly coordinated and, above all, professional and friendly, all with a smile. It's incredible how they interact with each other and the guests. They also see the work in progress. There's a wide variety of choices on the menu. Once again, the low prices are striking. The food is truly delicious. The portions are even larger than in an average restaurant. It's all a bit confusing when you get the final bill. We paid €107 for two people. And that for six glasses of wine, port, water, bread, a starter, a main course—including a tournedos—and dessert. Where else can you do that? I understand this is only possible because the restaurant operates at volume, but that's true. On a weekday, it was completely full. So, make sure to book in advance.

Seven people dined at Montimar Mierlo. The food itself was fine, but we had to wait a long time before finally being helped. When the food was served, we only had one small bowl of fries, a bit meager for seven people, including two children. We immediately asked for an extra bowl, which arrived after we'd already finished our food. Drinks were also slow, as we constantly had to search for staff to get drinks. Then, after a long wait, we had to ask them to clear the table and serve dessert. We found the staff to be adequate, but not very attentive.

It was a delightful dinner in a stylish and cozy setting, with top-notch service and every dish absolutely delicious. Every time we visit, it’s simply perfect. We had starters, soup, a main course, wine, and desserts. When it comes to value for money, there’s no better place in Eindhoven and its surroundings! For such an excellent place, I definitely recommend checking and booking well in advance!

Cozy place in the middle of nature. Excellent experience, in the same week we went 2 times and for sure we will come more often. Unique concept in the Netherlands. Price-quality is the best you will get. All food is delicious and all details are taken care of. Many choices of alcohol free drinks as well as wines. The service is friendly and fast considering how busy it always is. You need to book way upfront. This is only a good sign ;)

The service could be a bit faster at times, and mistakes are often made. The atmosphere is always great, and the restaurant fills up later in the evening. Pros: - Friendly staff - Attractive prices - Varied menu - Incredibly delicious food - Burgundian location on a quiet road with ample parking Cons: - It sometimes took up to 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive, even though it was still relatively quiet at that time, as we were early diners. - The Bailey's is served in a tiny plastic glass at room temperature, so it's not worth it.

Best value by far. Delicious food at very good/low prices in a charming restaurant with a lovely large back terrace. Very popular, so you'll need to book months in advance.

We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere today, especially thanks to the service from our host, Kyjan. There was plenty of time and space for personal attention, which made us feel very welcome and is why we will definitely return. The food was also exceptionally good. In short, it's definitely recommended for everyone!

Friday night we had a great meal, the girl who runs the place is a super professional. I ordered the hearty Basque soup but what a disappointment, a lot of water, nothing hearty to be seen, little filling or spokes, best chef, this can and should be better, I will definitely come back to order it again, the rest was very good.

What toppers: in the service and in the kitchen! Everything is right here. The reception, the decor, the menu, the service, the flavors, the presentation of the dishes, the bill at the end. Nothing to complain about all the times we eat here.

Unexpectedly ended up at the local notary after a festive moment. We hadn't made a reservation, but we found the occasion so festive that we still got a spot. Really delicious food!! Very good and pleasant service. And for this time, nice prizes. Already booked again for June. Will definitely come back more often.

The first experience at Montimar. Heard very good stories about it, but I had to experience it for myself. The food was so tasty! The ladies and gentlemen serving were friendly and made eye contact. There was also laughter and the atmosphere there was great. We ate the following, not a photo of everything, but still. Appetizers Buns with herb butter Gamba's pil pil - delicious, good taste Asparagus - perfectly peeled and cooked. Soup The fish soup Asparagus soup Main course Montimar Parridelle (think that's what it's called), the pork belly was phenominal Dessert Ice cream, strawberries and meringue We drank soft drinks and coffee. We were asked enough questions about drinks and inquired about what the food was like. Then came the nicest surprise, the bill. €89 really the evening couldn't have been better. 100% recommended. What a good restaurant.

We celebrated a birthday there with five people with a delicious dinner. We had to make a reservation almost a year ago! The restaurant is in a beautifully converted farmhouse. Very nicely decorated, with cozy corners. The tables are neatly set. The staff is friendly and attentive and the food is very varied and tasty. We spent a very nice evening there and have fond memories of it!!! 👍👍👍

We had a delicious meal here with a group of 12. Great service, excellent menu, nice atmosphere. What was also nice was that we were not rushed, even though the restaurant was completely full. We would love to come back. Maybe a little tip, steak knives with the steak. Not necessary, but a useful addition.

I had the chausseur and that is with duck. I thought it was a shame that the fat layer was not fried hard. The fish soup was very bland and did not taste like fish, but we were immediately allowed to choose something else when we said something about it. So well resolved. The boy who helped us first came to ask every 5 minutes if we wanted something to drink (when our glasses were not yet empty) and when they were empty he stopped. The rest of the food was very good. Had dinner with colleagues and now I understand why you have to make a reservation so far in advance. The restaurant is located in a converted farmhouse, tastefully decorated. The food is relatively cheap compared to other restaurants nowadays but the quality is top! The wine is also excellent and for a reasonable price. Book well in advance, but then you will have a nice evening, excellent service, good quality products and all for a very reasonable price!

The food is really good! However, the service is very young and does not have an adult manager to manage them. After choosing the menu and during the meal, they are not asked once if you would like something to drink, or if everything is to your liking, it is very immature. and amateurish, and that's a real shame because the location and the food are really good. For us there is a reason to skip this location unfortunately......

They can't make Irish coffee anywhere, unfortunately not here either. Price yes, where can you still eat for these prices? As far as I know, only at Montimar. 01-08-2024 We ate at Montimar again after a long time. Fish soup now contained shellfish, meat dishes were fine, again only fries and cucumber salad, ice cream and Irish coffee as an after dish. The Irish coffee is not made correctly, which is a shame. We no longer order those. We will eat there again on October 1. Today October 1st We had a delicious meal again with the new autumn menu.

Nice place and good food. Very worthwhile

We have already eaten at several places, but for us this was the least Montimar. With the main course there was sand between the mussels (which can always happen if you don't rinse them enough). There were also dense mussels just lying around on the plate. We spoke to a young man about it and he resolved it promptly. Ordered a Dame blanch for dessert. And I understand that they want something different, but this dessert on a flat plate is almost impossible to eat. The chocolate remains where it is and for most people that is what you order it for. If you pass this on as a suggestion to the "management" of the service, you will not get the answer you thought you would get (thanks for the tip, I will pass it on to the kitchen) But next time you tell us, we'll throw it in a coupe, but we want to get rid of those classic desserts. If you want to get rid of a classic dessert, DO NOT put it on the menu. There is nothing more classic than a Dame Blanch! Most of the service was top notch, a shame about this one lady who should still be the example for the rest. But we will definitely eat at Montimar again, just not this one anymore.

Boys...... You just don't believe it. Montimar Mierlo... WOW 1. Food is perfect... I'm sad when it's over. I never come back anywhere for the food as often as I do here. 2. Personnel. My compliments. Many young people work at Monitmar. You won't believe it, but they have really been selected and they are friendly, smart, hospitable and really professional. 3. You do write down the prices. it is a miracle in Mierlo. Perfect and not expensive. prices are really normal at Montimar. Total. They are perfect and that is why you have to reserve months in advance. I always enjoy eating there.... I am a regular customer.

Delicious food again. Staff is friendly and the pace is good. The restaurant is very cozy and attractively decorated. The starter and main course were delicious. Chose the Autumn mess dessert this time but it was boring, it tasted fine but there was nothing exciting about it. As a tip I would like to give to the staff: 'walk a little slower and look at your guests, they might want to order something to drink in between'.

Maybe it was because we didn't sit down until 8 p.m. and were therefore one of the last to order something, but we were very disappointed with the quality of the food. The mussels in the fish soup were bad, sometimes without content. The Black Agnes was a very dark red. The fries were not very crispy. The salad was of little value. The coffee at the end was really undrinkable. With the seeds on the bottom. Pieces of one plate had broken off. A shame, because the service and location were excellent.

This was the first time we ate here and were pleasantly surprised. The food is very tasty and prepared with love and skill. We had a tournedos and a steak, both grilled very tender. Many chefs can learn something from this! The staff is very friendly and neat. Definitely a must! Only "disadvantage", you really need months in advance because otherwise it fails to reserve.

I don't understand why people find this so special. Cheap prices that must be it. Main course not yet served after 2 hours. Busy tent..

Had dinner with 2 people last Saturday. Delicious food and excellent service. We sat on the beautiful terrace. The hostess (I believe her name was Sandra) had warned us in time about a heavy rain shower and offered us a new table, which fortunately kept us dry. Recommended!

The restaurant is located at a beautiful rural location. It feels a bit like an English pub. The price quality of the food is absolutely mind blowing. We ate and drank very well. We will go back 😁

Yesterday we had dinner with 7 people. Was the first time. Must say it was a pleasant positive experience. The welcome was warm and we had a round table in a separate room. The food was excellent and the service was very good and friendly. Black angus steaks and tournedos were very good and perfectly cooked. The other food, starters and desserts were good. It was quite busy but there was a relaxed atmosphere, no chaos. Definitely recommended, especially considering the price. Will go back again soon.
