Very sweet and attentive staff! We actually mentioned in passing that we were there to celebrate something together, due to my husband's good test results. Had a delicious meal for a very reasonable price. Parking was a bit busy (partly due to the many drivers parking in the spacious spots). The staff were very young (and probably still learning), but very friendly. In short, highly recommended! Do make sure to reserve well in advance, by the way!

You have to book well in advance, but it is definitely worth it. The food is always tasty and certainly above the price level. So, better than what you pay for it. Plus, €3 for a glass of wine and €1.20 per person for bread with herb butter. Getting a chair for the little one is also easily arranged. Pre-war prices for great quality. It is within walking distance for us, so we are quick to order an extra glass of wine. 😉

There is also plenty of staff walking around, although they are sometimes too busy talking to each other. But they are very friendly. In short, it is worth repeating. I first heard about this restaurant from a colleague around two years ago, and I’ve been coming back whenever I have the chance. They have several locations, all set in what feels like a farm or countryside setting. Mierlo has become my favorite so far. The menu changes slightly with the seasons, but there’s always a good variety to choose from. I usually go for one of the fish dishes with a bottle of house wine. I’ve tried both the tomato soup and the asparagus soup, and they were both very good. We always order Gambas Pil Pil as a starter—it’s definitely one of our favorites. Mango Taco was also surprisingly well-balanced and full of flavor. Salmon is my usual safe choice here, and it has never disappointed me. I also like that the dishes are served with fresh vegetables rather than heavy sauces. Every main course comes with salad and fries as well. I would say the desserts are pretty standard by Dutch standards. Nothing particularly memorable, but they are nicely presented and look appealing. The staff are young, friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. I’ve never had a bad experience here. I also really appreciate that they seem to invest in and give opportunities to young people. I thought it was an exaggeration when I first heard that reservations should be made months in advance, but it’s actually true. That said, cancellations do happen, so if you’re lucky, you might find a table without waiting that long. Both the indoor and outdoor seating areas are beautiful and comfortable. The design of the restaurant and the table settings create a refined atmosphere without feeling overly formal. Considering the quality of the food, service, and overall experience, I think the prices are very reasonable.

Montimar Mierlo often gets fully booked very quickly, but sometimes it is still possible to secure a spot. We were lucky enough to do so! So, we were able to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday with the family. We had a delicious meal, it was beautifully presented, the portions were nice, and it was affordable! We've often enjoyed delicious meals here. Today, due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unfortunately unable to show up for our reservation. We politely canceled, giving a good reason. Then we received a rude email stating that it was costing Montimar revenue and that we hadn't shown up for our reservation.

I ate in Mierlo last Saturday. The waitresses were very nice and the food was delicious. The manager just tried to push us. We weren't allowed to order certain courses even though we were on time. The manager kept an eye on my group the whole time and created a tense, unwelcoming atmosphere.

The food was delicious. Always busy, so I made reservations months in advance, but it was worth it.

I can only write about my menu. I don't know about other dishes. The starter was a delicious, large bowl of well-filled fish soup, excellent. The main course was cod. That was a shame, a good portion but tasteless as a wet newspaper. Steam oven? Crispy fries with a nice salad, good texture and flavor. Didn't have dessert, limited selection and mainly sweets. The price-quality ratio was okay, but the cod was a bit disappointing.

First time dining at a cozy location. The initially boisterous atmosphere calmed down later. We drank two glasses of Cava and had a bread platter. We both had pil pil shrimp (delicious) as a starter, and my bestie had the cod. I had the tenderloin with pepper sauce and diced onion, carrot, bell pepper, and zucchini. Fries and salad were served with it. Finally, I had coffee and a shot of Liqueur 43. It was a pleasant evening. We will definitely go back again!

The food here is excellent and very affordable. Although inflation has increased here too, and this is usually reflected in the new menus. Ideal if you want to take children to a "real" restaurant. In the summer, you can sit outside, and in the winter, there's plenty of room inside, provided you reserve well in advance.

We return here time and time again. Even now, with a 9-month-old child, we had a wonderful evening!

Very surprising. Based on the good reviews on Google, we booked a table at Montimar. That wasn't easy, as everything was booked weeks in advance. Due to a cancelled table, we managed to get in last minute, and we were very happy about that. The restaurant, located in a charming old building, is a bit out of the way. The atmosphere is overwhelmingly cozy. The restaurant was packed on a Thursday evening, but despite that, the atmosphere is warm. Given the low prices on the menu, we didn't know what to expect. Smaller portions? Less delicious food? Long wait times? None of that. The young, driven team runs like a engine, perfectly coordinated and, above all, professional and friendly, all with a smile. It's incredible how they interact with each other and the guests. They also see the work in progress. There's a wide variety of choices on the menu. Once again, the low prices are striking. The food is truly delicious. The portions are even larger than in an average restaurant. It's all a bit confusing when you get the final bill. We paid €107 for two people. And that for six glasses of wine, port, water, bread, a starter, a main course—including a tournedos—and dessert. Where else can you do that? I understand this is only possible because the restaurant operates at volume, but that's true. On a weekday, it was completely full. So, make sure to book in advance.

Seven people dined at Montimar Mierlo. The food itself was fine, but we had to wait a long time before finally being helped. When the food was served, we only had one small bowl of fries, a bit meager for seven people, including two children. We immediately asked for an extra bowl, which arrived after we'd already finished our food. Drinks were also slow, as we constantly had to search for staff to get drinks. Then, after a long wait, we had to ask them to clear the table and serve dessert. We found the staff to be adequate, but not very attentive.

It was a delightful dinner in a stylish and cozy setting, with top-notch service and every dish absolutely delicious. Every time we visit, it’s simply perfect. We had starters, soup, a main course, wine, and desserts. When it comes to value for money, there’s no better place in Eindhoven and its surroundings! For such an excellent place, I definitely recommend checking and booking well in advance!

Price-quality is the best you will get. All food is delicious and all details are taken care of. Many choices of alcohol free drinks as well as wines. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere today, especially thanks to the service from our host, Kyjan. There was plenty of time and space for personal attention, which made us feel very welcome and is why we will definitely return. The food was also exceptionally good. Friday night we had a great meal, the girl who runs the place is a super professional. I ordered the hearty Basque soup but what a disappointment, a lot of water, nothing hearty to be seen, little filling or spokes, best chef, this can and should be better, I will definitely come back to order it again, the rest was very good.

What toppers: in the service and in the kitchen! Everything is right here. The reception, the decor, the menu, the service, the flavors, the presentation of the dishes, the bill at the end. Nothing to complain about all the times we eat here.

The first experience at Montimar. Heard very good stories about it, but I had to experience it for myself. The food was so tasty! The ladies and gentlemen serving were friendly and made eye contact. Appetizers Buns with herb butter Gamba's pil pil - delicious, good taste Asparagus - perfectly peeled and cooked. Soup The fish soup Asparagus soup Main course Montimar Parridelle (think that's what it's called), the pork belly was phenominal Dessert Ice cream, strawberries and meringue We drank soft drinks and coffee. We were asked enough questions about drinks and inquired about what the food was like. Then came the nicest surprise, the bill. €89 really the evening couldn't have been better. 100% recommended. What a good restaurant.
