Murphy's in Schiphol

A little bit of contractor heaven in the middle of Schiphol Airport.

The staff acts a bit too friendly towards strangers. They act like you put up with everything and find everything funny, even if that isn't the case.

Murphy’s is great because it’s set in a quiet corner of the airport. Their back room is a respite from the hustle and bustle of a major airport. Service is quick and food comes within 15 minutes. With paying up front, you can settle your check easily. The food isn’t great. The beet and goat cheese salad was terrible. The egg and sausage breakfast sandwich was large but bland. Our daughter did like the scone!

Nice looking pub but the prices are absolutely ridiculous and they will do anything they can to charge you extra. Avoid!!

Always a great place to eat ,drink and kick back until your flight is called.

This Irish Pub is airside at Schiphol Airport. Despite being in the Netherlands and an Irish Pub, the staff were mostly Scottish. The staff were the best thing about it. €11.50 for a beer is real captive audience stuff. The food was more reasonably priced and was fine.

Best place to grab a drink as you wait. As long as you can “deal” with the bartender being Scottish. I love it. Watched them on numerous occasions remind people of travel time and boarding times to ensure no one missed a flight. Bar tenders truly cares about every patron that came through.

A nice find at Schipol Airport. Good service and the food was also good. Butterballs had lots of cheese and came with mustard. Chicken wings were sweet and spicy and came with BBQ & garlic sauce which offset the spiciness. Quiet inside.

You can drink Murphy's, which is hard to find in Japan. The Bitterball is also delicious, served piping hot.

Murphy’s always offers a sanctuary in the hustle and bustle of Schiphol. It’s Amsterdam airport’s best secret hideout. Good food, fantastic service and a real “pub” feel inside. I highly recommend.

Bar is grand but a pint of Murphy’s costs 12.50, get stuffed.

Terrible experience. There was 4 of us and except for the one order of bangers and mash the steak sandwich and cheese sandwich were horrible. My daughter and husband couldn't chew the steak at all and it initially came without the onions. Even though it's called steak and onion sandwich. When they voiced their concerns about the meals they were given a very inadequate response from the staff. Then the staff proceeded to go into kitchen and laugh about the complaint. So very unprofessional. Worst airport food experience ever!!

I would give it 1 if I could. We have travelled to Europe 25 x over the last 6 years. This was hands down the worst food we’ve had and the service matched that. We had food that was not edible and sent it back. They initially refused to provide a refund & had a terrible attitude about it. The steak was so tough we couldn’t eat it- the girls respond was “it’s beef”. Her next response was “eat something else off the menu”. Her abrasive and direct distain was shocking. In the end I said I was happy to wait for a manager which I’m guessing they assumed I would not do. A refund was then provided- but not easily.

Steak and onion sandwich arrives without onions. Steak was so tough, coleslaw was warm in the way it had been sitting out for hours. Asked for waters twice, then ended up going to bsr to ask again. Blonde server with supreme attitude. Avoid this place!!

This is a great hidden spot in Schipol Airport. The vibe is that of a real pub and not a contrived airport bar. The food and service are great. I recommend a stop here during a layover.

Insane prices, noisy, dirty, poor beer selection and staff who hustle you out because they want to sell more ridiculously priced bad beer and overpriced food. Even on the scale of airport franchises this is an avoid.

Great bar inside the Schiphol airport. Very Irish, with good atmosphere and great options for breakfast/lunch. TV normally is turned on presenting sports. Staff is very attentive. Great option to spend some time when you are waiting in the airport.

Best place to hang out in Schipol Airport for a while. Wonderfully friendly service, nice beer and plenty of comfortable seating (at least when I went). I’ve had a few occasions of having to kill a few hours in Schipol airport and despite the airport being so huge it’s quite difficult to find anywhere that has plenty of space and seating to relax and have something to eat and drink. This place was perfect.

We had a 40-hour delay, but it was manageable after we discovered this bar. The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food and drinks were delicious. In short, highly recommended.

I was waiting like for 20 minutes, hoping someone will attend me. No way! We were only 3 tables occupied and 2 waiters did have nice talk at the desk, ignoring us completely. Dear owner of this place, if it is Ok like this, I would like to see any instruction in the menu or on the wall, how a customer can get something to eat and drink at your restaurant. Otherwise I would suggest headcount reduction: if only one waiter will do nothing instead of two of them, you can save money.

Great that Schipol has an Irish Bar. Service is very good, food is OK and for atmosphere its an airport bar. Mainly full of Brits drinking a little too much before their flights.

A bit hidden away, so there might be more space. Good selection of typical pub food and a good beer selection for an airport. Friendly service too.

Great bar in area D for non EU departures. Authentic Irish pub serving a superb selection of draft beers and Irish Murphy’s stout beer. First visit but not the last, yes it’s pricey but such a fab place to enjoy a pint of two. We have three hours to waste before our flight to Glasgow and we are happy to have found this place!

Ordered a full Irish and it was ready fast but so hot. Don’t rush to eat but I had plenty of time to enjoy before heading to my gate. Over all great experience. Much better than the average airport food.

Murphy’s Bar is a fairly solid Irish bar, especially considering its airport location. Of the three bars I usually frequent at Amsterdam Airport the Amstel Bar, the Heineken Bar, and Murphy’s, this is the one I prefer. Murphy’s feels a little more intimate than the others, and the atmosphere is more relaxed. It’s easier to strike up a bit of banter with the staff, which makes a big difference when you’re killing time before a flight. The food is fairly mediocre, but for an airport bar it’s reasonably priced and does the job. My one real gripe is that they don’t serve Guinness. I know Murphy’s is a competitor, but Guinness is my drink of choice, and it’s always disappointing when a bar doesn’t stock it. That said, it’s still a comfortable place to sit, have a few drinks, and pass a couple of hours if you arrive at the airport earlier than planned. Overall, it’s a decent option and my go-to bar at Schiphol despite the Guinness omission.

As airport pubs go, this is by far my favourite. Tables may be a bit sticky from the pints of beer they served, which adds to the true brown pub atmosphere. Music was Irish/Scottish folk to get you in the mood. But my biggest attraction are: "bitterballen" and chips (Fries, friet, patat)! And they have mayo if you ask for it. Very important to this Belgian! I can't get bitterballen where I live, so I go and enjoy them when passing through Schiphol. I forgot to take a photo...

Outrageously overpriced for both drinks and food. €12.50 for a (soggy) bap and scrambled eggs. €11 for a pint of Stout. Quality of food was very very poor. A 6 year old could present it better. At least the two bar ladies were friendly.

Two beers here cost more than my flights and hotel for a week

This may just be the best airport bar I’ve ever been to. I’ve been to A LOT of airport bars, and I haven’t said what I just wrote about any other. In fairness, I do love me a good Irish pub, so this place had a head start. What sets this place apart is that it is physically separated from the concourse just enough that it truly feels like you’re sitting in a pub just off the street in a cool run down Irish neighborhood. This place could be on Temple Bar. There are regulars which is bonkers for an airport bar. The bartenders hang like a local pub feels like. The pub food is classic. All the expected beers and all the spirits. I can’t imagine having a few mins at this airport and deciding to NOT post up here.

The staff is great! Only the manager is a horrible man. What an arrogant guy with absolutely no respect for his staff 😡 We sat at the bar for a bit, and all he did was belittle and criticize his staff! That's not how you treat people.

Travelling with work, nice breakfast in a lovely atmosphere. Washed down with an excellent ice cold pint of Heineken. I will be back again.

May or may not have good food. We didn't get to eat because after waiting 20 minutes for our waitress to come back and take our order we were told food would take 30-40 minutes, but which time we would've missed our flight. 🙄

I ordered fish&chips, it's not bad. Irish red pint was so nice! I think this place is better than aspire launge.

Best bar I have found in Schipol, they have Murphy's stout on tap which is always a win. I got the chicken wings which were fresh and tasty. I was there on a Friday arvo and there was a good atmosphere

THERE IS NO SMOKING AREA. SCHIPOL IS SMOKE FREE. The breakfast is weak for 20 quid. The staff are good craic

The two female bartenders today were awesome. Very sociable, sense of humor. They make it feel like you’re at an actual pub and not stuck in an airport!

Classic Irish Pub in Amsterdam Airport. Need a bigger and brighter sign out front, I have walked past it many times and never saw it. Lovely cold beer 🍺

Food was fine- basic stuff. Mouse ran across the room from the seating area and into the kitchen. Kind of ruined my appetite. Music was stereotypical Irish folks music.

Fantastic time here. Food was made quick, warm and tasted great. It was a Full Irish and 2 Egg & Bacon Baps. Staff are very friendly and cheerful. Atmosphere is cozy like any pub should be. Definitely feels like a break away from the airport noise and easy to relax.

The atmosphere is good, you hardly notice that you are in the middle of Schiphol. The food was good, a bit too expensive for what you get but that goes for the whole of Schiphol I think. All in all a great way to wait for your flight.

Simple Irish pub-like place. I like that it’s not in the middle of the airport without doors like most other restaurants at Schiphol. It has its own vibe. The bap was great for breakfast, quite a big portion for a reasonable price.

A proper Irish pub in an airport! Burgers are great (a bit expensive but what do you expect from the airport food)! Barmen is very lovely too. A good selection of tap beer as well!

Dropped by on a layover and had a Heineken with bitterballen. Great little pub hidden away from airside traffic. Highly recommended. Friendly and helpful staff.

Gate D10. It's hidden close to D10. Shout out to Anna Roxin and her review, which guides us here. Amazing place and very friendly staff. Great beer and good food. You can get to D10 by going through passport control at any gate it seems. The passport control police (?) was nice to let us in and explain how to get to our gate. We were like "can we please get in? We want to go to the pub, our plane is at a different gate". He looked at us and probably thought damn tourists lol, but explained.

Okayish, has an Irish feeling but not really and Irish pub. We ordered a beer and a espresso martini, the beer was fine, but the espresso martini had nothing to do with the original. They had the liquors to make one but somehow the manager/owner never explained the staff how to properly make one.

Best way to pass time at Schiphol

Real nice staff and great fish and chips! We asked to share a dish and they kindly split it for us onto two plates. The pub is separated from the main corridor of the airport so it's a nice break from the airport chaos.

Great experience, and fast service so we could make our flight! They even split our fish n chips onto 2 plates for us.
