Muze in Oud-Zuid

Food was decent. The choice may be a bit too limited. A three or four course dinner with 2 choices each. The service was friendly and transparent.

Al jaren regelmatig gezellig eten voorafgaande aan concertbezoek Oosterpoort. Al enkele jaren nieuwe fijne locatie, maar inhoud verarmd. Weinig keuze. Voorgerecht van makreelfilet met enkele stukjes radijs en leuk sausje maar niet iets bijzonders. Hertenbiefstuk met lekkere jus, maar te hard verwarmde 3 spruitjes, rare smakeloze bitterbal. Dat kan beter! Dan maar liever frietjes en salade! Teleurstellend, maar concert van NNO was fantastisch

When I visited the venue for a concert I thought eating in would be an easy option. But I did not expect the uptight atmosphere and overcompensating menu for such a venue, which you expect to be a people's place. Not this! Sadly the food was also a lot of presentation but no taste. The menu suggests 3 or 4 course menus but it underwhelms in its options. For a 2 course menu the prices are not even shown! Neither is the extended drinks menu. The amuze (molten cheese basically) and asparagus soup were simplistic (no trace of asparagus in the soup, just all blended to a broth) and not worth the price that was on the bill: 8.75 euros! For vegetarians there was only one option on the mains menu and it contained nuts. Not ideal for anyone with a nut allergy! Now I do eat nuts but cannot digest peanut so I told them please not to have any peanut. The waitress said she would ask the kitchen but then she did not return to me with the latest options. When the dish finally came, which was tasteless by the way (all airfried refrigerated products that do not look like they were made by a chef), after two bites I tasted... peanut! I immediately stopped eating and asked it to be removed. The head waitress did say sorry with a lot of pooha that the nuts are bought as a package (not my problem) and suggested a dessert. I said I really don't want to eat more due to the digestive problems that I will have ahead of me now, but she insisted thinking that this was on the house, so I accepted. The dessert was again a lot of presentation but really not worth it: just half a scoop of mousse and a lot of cream from Albert Heyn I presume. The tea cup was also not filled with water enough. Then came the bill: they had put the main dish on it! 23 Euros for a dish that I could not eat and that was just frozen stuff airfried with some nuts and pomegranate grains as presentation. Incredible! 40 euros for a simple soup (4 euros in the market), two bites of a tasteless main dish I could not eat, one beer, one water! Are you kidding me? The head waitress argued I had eaten half of the main dish with no proof, testing my sanity and even questioning my health issue. I refused again and then she bargained with me to take it off but pay for the dessert I did not even wanted. I accepted to get rid of it but this is not how this business works. Staff was incompetent, running around in each other way. Food was not worth it. Kitchen is not even fresh and insensitive to people's dietary issues. And the bill is way too much. I felt I just paid to breath the air in this would-be, pretentious 'restaurant'. The waitress kept saying sorry but it did not remove her weird way of dealing with the issue and the payment from my mind. If you want to be cheated, by all means go there. It is really not worth it. Just emperor's clothes to me.

Fine meal in advance of a concert at Spot. Delicious selection for both meat eaters and veggies. The wine pairings were spot on too, and very good value for the calibre of the food.

Als je een concert bijwoont in Cultuurcentrum de Oosterpoort dan is het vaak heel handig om daar ook te eten. Hoewel de keuze beperkt is, is het aangeboden menu best lekker en heel betaalbaar. Ze schenken buiten een glas goede wijn ook gewoon een karaf water en je hoeft niet een heel menu af te nemen. Als je haast hebt, houden ze daar graag rekening mee.

Suena como una gran cosa que hacer, ir a un concierto o espectáculo y cena en el mismo lugar. Permítanme advierten no! Es demasiado caro y la comida es calentado cantina y las bebidas, quiero decir los vinos, son tan mal para palabras. amabilidad y servicio deja mucho que desear. Hay muchos restaurantes y bares cerca, frente a la entrada, a la vuelta de la esquina de wheer tienes comida que es por lo menos dos veces mejor y 50% más barato con buen vino y servicio amable. Sólo si no puede moverse fácilmente suficiente y quiere una fácil por lo "recomendar" esto, pero realmente es mejor ignorado. Puedes pagar un ojo de la cara por absolutamente nada.
