Great evening, fantastic food! Service was also top-notch! Highly recommended!

We had a delicious fish Christmas menu. Everything was fresh and deliciously prepared. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were friendly!

We were here with a large group (12 people) and it was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience! Both the chef and the staff were very friendly. The food was delicious, and I recommend it to everyone.

We had a delicious meal, but we're used to a different experience at similar restaurants. There was absolutely no interaction with the chef. They did light a fire, but it wasn't announced, so we were eating our rice when it suddenly happened. The hostess was very pushy, standing next to the tables waiting for you to take a sip of wine so she could refill it. She also came across as very disinterested, as she spilled wine several times while pouring. We also received "cheap" wine glasses and bottled wine, which is fine, but you really feel inferior when guests receive a decanter alongside your fancy glasses. Furthermore, when we paid cash, the change was automatically considered a tip, to which the hostess reacted very arrogantly when we pointed out that it wasn't meant as a tip. This was a one-off experience for us, which we find a real shame!

For the grandchildren's birthday, we dined at the hot plate for the first time. In my experience, there's always a pleasant interaction with the chef at the hot plate, especially for the children. Preparing food at the table should have been something special, based on the stories they'd been told. The opposite was true: a chef who didn't speak, a bit grumpy, and completely impossible to connect with. It was particularly disappointing; the chef did the work, and that was all. The food was good, some dishes not particularly special. The service was good and friendly. It was a shame, it was supposed to be a special dinner.

I had a wonderful meal at Nagoya. The cooking was done tableside, which created an interesting and lively atmosphere. It felt a bit like being in the middle of a cooking show, but with a plate full of delicious food right in front of you. The chef put on a great show with the main course. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Highly recommended if you're looking for an evening that's a little different from your typical dinner.

We had a fantastic evening at Nagoya. The Teppanyaki Tokyo menu was sublime. The professionalism and customer experience were top-notch, and the price-quality ratio was excellent. The atmosphere was great, and the crowd was diverse. We will definitely be back soon.

We visited the Teppanyaki Chef’s Table yesterday and had a good overall experience. The entire dinner took around three hours from start to finish, which felt a bit too long. That said, the food was delicious, and we really enjoyed the cooking show and the atmosphere. I’m still giving it 4 stars because of the quality and entertainment, but I do wish the pace had been a bit quicker — ideally around two hours would’ve been perfect.

The food was delicious and always a show! Always fun and the service is really great. Together with my girlfriend we chose the wagyu during the teppanyaki and got a real tasting experience from the chef. Every possibility was well explained but to the point by tasting a piece with garlic, wasabi, and salt. This was really a great experience 👍 didn't know it had such a difference. It's also always fun at the table👌

Oh people, this was really perfect. Note that it is not all you can eat, but just exclusive dining. The service ?friendly and very polite. Unique dishes, and of high quality. It has a soft price tag, but you can taste the quality. Highly recommended, and I will definitely come back.

What a great tent. We celebrated my aunt's birthday with 12 people, a whole tray for ourselves. We were received very smoothly at the entrance and everything went very smoothly afterwards. All courses were all super tasty and full of flavour. Good service with drinks too! Highly recommended💪🏾

Delicious food in a full yet quiet restaurant where you can easily have a conversation with 4 people. Nice menu: we ordered 2 menus and 2 a la carte dishes. Being able to taste all the goodies. Definitely worth repeating.

Found it very disappointing. We arrived at 8:00 PM and got the last course (rack of lamb) at 10:15 PM. By then we had actually already finished eating and the order of courses could have been different. The soup and seaweed salad were both nothing to write home about. Too bad, because it costs quite a bit these days, but definitely not the right price/quality ratio.

We didn't know that it was also possible to eat a la carte. Then I wouldn't have chosen a menu. The price-quality of the menus is disappointing. O toro was not great (wiry and felt like it had been defrosted), shellfish in broth a bit dry and hard, dessert pancake boring and serving a dame blanche for dessert is what I expected at a Van der Valk restaurant. When I got home I also saw a bottle of water overpriced (7.50). Well.

Price-quality is completely out of proportion in this restaurant. The dishes and especially the drinks are abnormally priced. In Haarlem you have much better sushi restaurants for less money. The restaurant also has little to no atmosphere. The chefs at the table do a nice job and provide some entertainment in an otherwise chilly restaurant. Overrated.

Wasn't a teppanyaki experience that my partner and I would give 5 stars based on our experience and we were a bit disappointed on our anniversary night. We had the Wagyu and Nagoya teppan menu on top of the toro and hamachi sashimi. If you have a more 'exotic', 'particular', or 'heavy authentic Asian' leaning palate, we recommend not to get your hopes up based on their price tag. However, their sushi was pleasantly made and enjoyable nonetheless.

This is by far the best sushi restaurant in Haarlem. Trust me, we've tried them all. The staff here are very attentive and the food is delicious and clearly prepared with care. Thanks again for the great evening and see you next time!

MY TIP! SKIP THIS TENT! THE STAFF IS VERY UNFRIENDLY! YOU PAY A FINE IF A PERSON CANNOT COME WITH YOU. AND THEN SAY IT'S ALL THE CUSTOMER'S FAULT. YOU MUST PLACE AN ORDER 20 MINUTES LATER WHILE YOU HAVE TO WAIT A LONG TIME TO BE ABLE TO PLACE AN ORDER AT ALL. THE REACTION BELOW FROM THE STAFF SAYS ENOUGH!!! WHAT A BALL TENT!!!! It was made clear in a very aggressive tone that a 50 euro fine of the deposit of 200 euros had to be paid because unfortunately one person could not eat with us. After an hour and a half we were outside again. The concept is nice, but it looks more like a food bar than a chic Japanese evening meal with friends. Tip: specify a fewer number of people when booking. Saves another fine! Bad thing!

Greeted nicely upon arrival and taken to the table. I expected that we could choose from several dishes that would be prepared on site, but we received a menu with only menus. After I indicated that I expected something different, I received a different menu, with individual dishes on it (à la carte). Other people who came in after us also all received only the menu with menus. Strikingly, we sat at the teppanyaki table (Chef's table) and twice the people next to us left immediately after seeing the menu. The food itself was delicious, nice to see how the chef prepares the food in front of you (really a show), but I thought it was very expensive. On the first card, with the menus, the prices varied from €70 pp to over €100 pp for 1 menu. Will I come back here again? I suspect not, but that is purely due to the price.

Tonight we had a delicious meal with friends at the teppan yaki table. It costs a bit, but you get something. Food was excellently prepared with delicious authentic flavors by a very enthusiastic chef with a visible love for his profession. Nice to see that the different chefs also prepare the same menus in their own way. This way you can easily come back again, choose the same thing but eat differently. The menus are varied and they really take the time to serve everything slowly for an evening-filling program. You don't just go in and out quickly for a quick bite, but you spend 3 hours under the pan to taste one excellently prepared dish after another. You can park in the Appelaar garage, about 50 meters from the restaurant

This is mainly a teppanyaki place. Nonetheless, the sushi and sashimi were outstanding. Since it's teppanyaki, it takes a while to eat, so be prepared to spend a couple of hours here. The main teppanyaki was delicious and cooked with just enough flair to be interesting without being cheesy.

Wow, what a delicious meal we had at Nagoya. The chefs' craftsmanship on the teppanyaki grill was impressive, providing us with not only delicious dishes but also a visual spectacle. The attentive service and warm atmosphere completed the picture. An absolute must for lovers of high-quality teppanyaki experiences. Moreover, the sushi was also very fresh and tasty. We will definitely come back here!

Had a great meal here. Also had a nice chef. I chose the Kobe menu and it was delicious. If you make a reservation, you must pay €25 in advance, but this will be deducted from the bill. Definitely go again.

The food here is delicious. I personally didn't like the service. It was also terribly cold and we were really shivering. We had a table and were not seated. Furthermore, it is not nicely decorated, which creates a chilly atmosphere. For us, the food was not enough to come back again.

Wat een ervaring was het eten bij Nagoya. Van de service tot de bereiding van het wagyu menu alles was in 1 woord Fantastisch. Hier gaan we zeker nog een keer terugkomen. Aanrader.

Hier gegeten met ons gezin. Wát een fijne ervaring! Superlief en attend personeel, gezellige chef en absoluut heerlijk eten! We hebben een heerlijke avond gehad, dank jullie wel!

We hebben heerlijk gegeten, sfeer kon misschien nog wel iets beter door wat meer de boel te vermaken tijdens het koken. Dat gebeurde wel bij de chef die na ons kwam. Het eten was super lekker, een aanrader.

Wij hebben hier gegeten voor de verjaardag van mijn moeder. Het eten was heerlijk en we hebben veel gelachen. Personeel was erg vriendelijk, zaten niet op je huid maar kwamen op de perfecte momenten langs. Het is niet goedkoop maar het was het zeker waard. Hopen hier snel terug te keren!!

We had great dinner . Sushi are very good. Fish are very tender and fresh. Sashimi are good. Just think slice a bit thin. Tempura delicious. The highlight is the 24 hours miso marinated Halibut. Must try!! They are out of stock the first bottle of sake , then we ordered another cheaper one. At the end, they forgot to change it . Luckily we checked the bill.

Voor het geld dat we betaalden, en vergeleken met andere Japanse restaurants van hetzelfde niveau, waren we teleurgesteld. Sommige gerechten waren smakeloos. De kok die onze tafel bediende had het erg druk.....en niet met mensen die zaten aan zijn tafel.  We vroegen naar de show met eieren, en kreigen antwoord dat daar geen tijd voor is 🤔 Sorry?!  Ik bedoel, dat we betaalden niet minder dan de tafel naast, wat bedoel  die geen tijd !? Het eerste glas wijn was heerlijk, het tweede glas heb ik niet eens gedronken, ze brachten iets wat niet lekker was, en niet van dezelfde kwaliteit als de eerste. Tegen het einde van de avond hing er een aanhoudende geur van hun toilet, en dat was de druppel om niet me terug te kommen naar deze restaurant. Ik vind het hoog uit schamde. Wij raden het niet aan, ondanks dat het personeel en de gastvrouw zeer vriendelijk en attent waren...... Valeria

Voor het eerst in zeer lange tijd weer een keer bij een Japanner gegeten aan de bakplaat. Bij Nagoya hebben ze alle verwachtingen overtroffen. Echt kwaliteit! Kan niet wachten om weer terug te komen.

Voor de tweede keer bij Nagoya gisteren met mijn Chinese vrienden en familie gegeten. Dit keer hadden wij als chef Jack (voor mij Jet, van Jet Lie de filmster). Het was werkelijk waanzinnig goed. Zowel het door Jet bereide teppan yaki gerechten als de bediening. Een topteam dat geen concessies doet aan kwaliteit. Mijn vriend Zhou Gang, die zelf 10 jaar in Den Haag als chef teppan yaki heeft gewerkt was ook zeer tevreden. Bedankt Jet en teamleden, tot de volgende keer. Very nice atmosphere and high quality food. Service was friendly however some staff could benefit from a little training as empty plates and or glasses were left on the table a little longer than they should have. Staff walked by several times and delivered other plates but didn't notice empty things on the table that should have been cleared. A small thing but nothing a little training couldn't help with :)>

Heerlijk gegeten met familie. Het menu was niet helemaal duidelijk want ik dacht dat we ook nog naar de teppanyaki zouden gaan, alleen dat moest van tevoren anders gereserveerd worden. Maar het eten was heerlijk en gezond en de service was vriendelijk en kon rekening houden met ons tijdschema aangezien we naar een voorstelling moesten. Ik zou graag nog eens terug gaan!

It is an elegant sushi & teppanyaki restaurant. I recommend who wants to have a good sushi experience. We loved the fresh wasabi next to sushis and salmon sashimi and sushis were really tasty. The staff are professional and cheerful. Teppanyaki part was a bit smoky and smelly, and there was no coat rack outside of that area… it is the only negative comment from my side. In general it was a really good experience for me and I really recommend for the ones who love sushi. I definitely will come back later too
