Restaurant Konomi in Oude Stad

We had to wait 20 minutes and no one came by to ask what we wanted to drink. A table that arrived after us was already served their drinks. We then walked away. There is still some work to be done on the staff and their service skills.

Had a delicious meal and great service!

Sushi was great! Really tasty and top ingredients, We wanted to share some sushi 4 people unfortunately, they don’t have like a variety sushi plate. You must order dish by dish. The dishes where delivered on different times as the waitress advice but was on for us. Here some of the sushi we ordered

We had a delicious meal! The sushi was super fresh, beautifully presented, and very flavorful. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy. Definitely a place we would love to return to!

Excellent cuisine and a friendly young team. The three of us had the four-course menu. Not a restaurant for excessive overeating.

Amazing Sushi! Good food, great vibes! Thanks Izzy!

Cozy atmosphere, good service, and delicious food! We will definitely come back again.

The food was delicious, tasty cocktails. I will definitely come back again.

Super tasty food, red-haired waitress is very cool and the food is also tasty, yummy.

I had a delicious meal here with my family, great service, everyone was lovely without exception.

Robert helped me very well, and the food was delicious.

Delicious food and very friendly service. Highly recommended. No rush and personal attention.

The scallop nigiri is the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot of sushi. Salmon nigiri was great also. Good rolls. Would order sushi over cooked entrees, but that’s personal preference.

This place is run by women and you can feel it! The food was amazing and the service was so friendly. Thank you!

Had a delicious meal in a lovely ambiance

Yummy rolls! Recommended. Atmospheric place.

Had a delicious meal!!! Excellent service, incredibly friendly and hospitable, top-quality food!!! Absolutely fantastic!! 5 stars for this place!

We went for lunch with some friends and we loved it; everything was delicious, but the sushi was my favorite—it was exquisite. It does take a little while because they prepare everything fresh to order, but it's worth the wait.

We had a truly fantastic meal! The service was incredibly friendly and fast. We thoroughly enjoyed the sushi, poke bowl, edamame, mini spring rolls, and tiramisu. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very cozy.

Great place! Service was super, nice people, and the food was delicious!

The staff was really nice and helpful, you get personal service here as the restaurant is a bit smaller, but that makes the experience even nicer. She let us swap out things from the chef’s menu which was considerate and all the food was delicious! Would recommend this restaurant.

Let me start on the positives. The food was delicious! (Ordered sushi rolls twice). But it is super pricey and the atmosphere really leaves a lot to be desired. The restaurant is located on a fairly busy road, an uninviting spot; it is super hot inside and you are practically sitting on the laps of the people next to you. Absolutely no privacy! The red wine was very warm, which you wouldn't expect from such an expensive restaurant. Just not a good experience. Paid the bill quickly and went to the pizzeria.

Had a delicious meal and top-notch service! Had delicious sushi at Konomi last night. What a fantastic place with very experienced and friendly staff. Everything is taken care of down to the last detail: from the cleaning wipes before the food to the clean toilets with neat towels. Highly recommended in Haarlem!

Fantastic food with unbelievable service very friendly staff..

Super sweet and friendly staff. The food was super delicious. We were really spoiled. My husband and I were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary; upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and congratulated by all the staff who came to our table. To celebrate, we were given some bubbly. The staff keeps smiling and makes sure you want for nothing. For the main course, I had a Japanese curry with prawns. The prawns were not peeled, but a small bowl of water and lemon slices was brought to us so we could clean our hands/fingers each time. Konomi is highly recommended, and we will definitely be back!

Came here with three friends and tried the four-course chef’s menu — a real flavor explosion! Delicious and excellent service throughout. Highly recommend

Not exactly bad, but not really good either. The sushi rolls, between the very generous sauce, the lukewarm rice and the frying, were more reminiscent of a hot rice and fish dish than a real sushi.

A great place. Delicious food and excellent service!

We had a delicious meal, definitely recommended!! The chef is also very attentive to the customers and is happy to explain the dishes being prepared. Japanese dishes remind me of my mother's cooking skills!

Very good Japanese restaurant with a shared dining concept in Haarlem. The dishes are of high quality and ideal for sharing, allowing you to taste many different flavors. A cozy and pleasant place for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner with your partner.

Good, fast, and friendly service, the food was amazing! Had a delicious meal!

Incredibly hospitable. Had a delicious meal!

Just had a delicious meal with a few friends. We arrived unexpectedly without a reservation, but they managed to find a spot for us. We had a wonderful meal and drinks, and the warm hospitality of the staff was excellent. A restaurant to return to in Haarlem!

This wasn't just a dinner, but a whole experience; from the welcome to the dishes and the conclusion. Everything was perfect. The accompanying explanations weren't overdone, but perfectly informative and entertaining. Something the owner can be proud of! Highly recommended for anyone interested in good food. Keep up the spirit👊

I ate at Konomi for the first time last week and I am really pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a modern look, but at the same time feels very cozy and atmospheric. You sit comfortably there and the whole ambiance is just right. The food was really top-notch. Everything we ordered was incredibly tasty, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can tell that a lot of attention is paid to the quality of the dishes. What made the evening complete was the service. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, without being intrusive. You feel truly welcome and well taken care of. All in all, a restaurant where everything is right: a nice atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service. As far as I'm concerned, one of the nicest places to go out for dinner in Haarlem. We will definitely be back soon. Absolutely worth 5 stars!

Delicious food and good service

Awesome place! Delicious food, really enjoyed it, thanks. The salmon melts in your mouth, it's incredible.

We had a delicious meal! The fish was super fresh and prepared with great care. Everything tasted fantastic. The service was incredibly friendly and hospitable. A special compliment to Izzy: what a sweet, enthusiastic, and attentive girl. She made sure we felt truly welcome. The cocktails were also perfectly made and completed the evening perfectly. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will definitely be back soon. Highly recommended!

Super nice restaurant, just taken over by two super young entrepreneurs. My whole group of friends and I were able to enjoy being pleasantly surprised by the new owner/chef. He ensures that everyone leaves the restaurant with a full stomach and a great feeling. I did order a Bacardi and Coke, though, which was very strong. In the end, we really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend it to everyone!

Top restaurant, had a delicious meal!!

Top restaurant! The staff is super sweet and friendly. The food was delicious! Freshly prepared and full of flavor. Absolutely recommended!!!

A rare, valuable experience in the center of Haarlem. Takes you back for a few hours to beautiful Japan, where I lived for a few years. Super quality, beautiful open kitchen, and friendly staff. A must-see if you are in Haarlem and the surrounding area!👊🏼

A very cozy place, the waitress (Zoë) was very caring and skilled. The food (prepared by Izzy) was delicious. Top restaurant!

The food was incredible. Genuinely happy with the service. I was here for my anniversary, and honestly, after looking at reviews, I can concur it really is a must-try. You will be pleasantly surprised. Great prices and great food, and the location is central in Haarlem.

Everything was very nice! The service was excellent, warm, very informative about the menu, what it contains, the options we have. Everything was tasty. 5 out of 5

Ended up here by accident after Mudmasters; couldn't have chosen a better restaurant. The food is delicious, and I especially recommend taking the 6-course surprise menu. It has everything: sushi, meat, fish, rice, etc. Just switch off for a change.

The food was a 10/10, I have nothing negative to say... But, it would be nice if, when you're eating as a couple, you actually get food for two. It is a bit easier than constantly having to split it up.

Had a delicious meal, super service, great atmosphere, and truly top-quality food. Everything incredibly fresh, friendly service, and good explanations for the different courses. This is a gem in Haarlem and definitely worth a repeat visit.

The food was delicious; we had the 7-course menu.

The quality of the food is really great! Definitely worth stopping by for a quick bite or a Langer dinner. And not to forget, very friendly staff.

Beautiful dinner Zoë was an extremely friendly and hospitable waitress 10/10 experience thansk for making our stay in Haarlem great!

We had an amazing meal, what a taste explosion! The 6-course menu was a bit too much, though. But we were politely given a dish to take home. We will definitely be back here!

My favorite restaurant in Haarlem, truly always incredibly delicious. The dishes are beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly prepared with attention to quality and fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, and the service is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!!!

Ordered via Thuisbezorgd, never received anything. So not okay.

We had a really delicious meal here! We had the 4-course menu and were truly surprised by the unique dishes and the quality of the food. If you want to try something different in Haarlem, this is definitely highly recommended! We would certainly be back.

Beautiful restaurant, very friendly service, clear menu, great food.

This is an experience from Konomi To Go via Uber Eats. This will be my first negative review when it comes to ordering food. The sushi was not fresh, with a stale taste, and even the tuna in the handroll was tasteless. What I also found was avocado with brown spots, a soggy fried shrimp, and the flamed salmon nigiri was one solid slab. The edamame beans were leaking from the packaging and did not taste as crispy and fresh as I am used to. Furthermore, there were sauce stains on the bottom of the containers, but I find that the least of my worries. I would not order this way again. I spent 40 euros, leaving my half-eaten sushi untouched. What makes the experience I had at the restaurant so different from my experience ordering for home delivery?

Jonne was the best. Loved the surprise menu

I have been to Konomi several times. Every time, I have had an exceptionally good meal. The set menus are perfectly put together. The food is surprisingly tasty, and the sushi and sashimi are to die for, they are that good. Delicious freshly made wasabi. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate in the heart of Haarlem. Not entirely unimportant: you can have a conversation without having to drown out loud music. The service is good! Zoë is a real, super sweet star! I would say: book a table at Konomi! You’ll thank me later…

Very friendly staff; you are served very politely. The food is also very tasty. It is a somewhat smaller restaurant compared to most restaurants in Haarlem, which means the quality of the food and service is much higher. The prices are also pleasant and realistic. In short, it is really worth stopping by for a delicious dinner! We will definitely be back more often :)

Had a delicious meal. Surprise menu

We picked up several pokebowls and they were delicious. Well-filled and fresh. The girl behind the counter was very nice and eventually brought them to us because we were sitting nearby. Very thoughtful.

Great Take out Pokebowl at Konomi with great service! Will be back soon.

Delicious food, friendly service, and tasty pokebowls for takeout 😋

Been there twice; it was delicious both times.

Super service and very polite and delicious food, everything neat, nice service

Had a delicious meal with very friendly service! Definitely recommended.

Delicious food in a nice atmosphere

Cozy spot! Recommended: Fried ebi

We ate here on Saturday. The sushi was delicious! The coffee was nothing special. When ordering, the waitress indicated that they wouldn't be able to fulfill the entire order (we also wanted to order the fried salmon alongside the sushi) because it was around 9:30 PM and the kitchen was closing at 10:00 PM. However, when a couple sat down at the table next to us, the same waitress told them they could order anything, because the kitchen was still open!! We found this very unprofessional.

Okay sushi but terrible service to the point it was a slapstick comedy. The waitress smacked the little sauce platter on the table so it splat everywhere. It was moderately busy but that is no excuse for the awful service!

Came here with a group of 12. Top notch service, very accommodating and decent wine

We had the 6-course surprise menu at Konomi. Beautiful, creative dishes with a good balance of flavors. Everything fresh and prepared with care. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommended!

Lovely food and very pleasant service.

Thanks Konomi, we had an amazing time! And the food was delicious! Personel was really helpful.

Good restaurant to eat good sushi rolls, the menu is not extensive but complete for Japanese tastes

So delicious! I'd have it again anytime 😍

We had a super delicious multi-course menu where you really get a lot of good food for a good price. The service was also really top-notch.

Super cozy restaurant, exceptionally friendly staff, and particularly delicious food. I will definitely come back!

Absolutely amazing! The service and food were simply unbeatable. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and really took their time. You immediately feel warmly welcomed. A definite recommendation for anyone looking for a truly perfect experience. We'll definitely be back! 🙌

We enjoyed the quality of the 3-course surprise menu. We were also satisfied with the attentiveness of the wait staff. What we (and the table next to us) found less than ideal was that it only became apparent upon arrival that our reservation was for a maximum of 2 hours. That makes for rushed dining, especially if you want more than 3 courses.

Fabulous service, super attentive and up for a chat as well! The food is amazing - best sushi and curry I‘ve ever had! :)

Konomi has a warm, welcoming vibe and very friendly service. The food was excellent, the prawns with brioche were a standout, super flavorful with a delicious creamy garlic and chili sauce. We also tried the wagyu carpaccio and the rib-eye with chimichurri, both full of flavor. And the sashimi mix was fresh and very tasty. Definitely a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for a great dinner, and I’ll happily come back again!

Great place!! And a delicious dessert afterwards!

Nice and relaxed and great, fast service. Good cocktails :)🍸

Had a delicious meal. Great atmosphere! Enormously generous portions with the 6-course surprise menu: highly recommended!

We had a wonderful evening at Konomi. Throughout the evening, we ordered à la carte dishes and enjoyed every dish – the cocktails were also a hit. The service was good and friendly, and we had a lovely time sitting at the bar. We will definitely be back!

We had a delicious meal, a 6-course menu with good portions. Jonne's service was friendly and professional. A spot at the bar (despite a reservation) was a minor downside.

We had a truly fantastic meal! It's always a bit of a gamble if you don't know the city and therefore the restaurants, but if you don't want standard sushi, Konomi is highly recommended! We took the 4-course surprise deluxe menu. All the dishes are incredibly fresh and super tasty. The portions are also really generous. The service (Jonne, I believe) is very friendly and explains everything well. If we ever come to Haarlem again, we will definitely return.

My husband and I had a wonderful meal here! When we were there, the kitchen and service were run by just two women. It was truly fantastic to see how passionately they practice their profession! It is quite small, so you have direct contact with the chef and the wait staff; that felt very engaging and personal. The dishes were delicious, we enjoyed it immensely! Highly recommended.

What a fantastic experience! The food was genuinely delicious and those rolls… really big. At first I thought, “this isn't that bad,” but oh no — after just a few bites I was already almost full 😅. You really won't leave here hungry. The value for money is really strong; you seriously get your money's worth. You don't see that very often anymore. And then the staff… Babette and Carla really top it all off. What energy and what sweet, fun ladies! They really create a great atmosphere that makes you feel welcome immediately. I was here with my boyfriend on Valentine's Day and it was truly perfect. Good food, good vibe, and top-notch service — you don't need anything more ❤️

Annabella was our server this evening, and she was so curtious and attentive ! We had an absolutely amazing time with amazing food, will definitely make this a new regular spot when we come back!

What a great time I had, top employee Annabelle and nice other colleagues. Definitely recommended 😀

What a delightful restaurant, both in terms of the food and the immense hospitality. We opted for the 4-course deluxe surprise menu. Every course was delicious and a feast for the eyes as well. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was relaxed, and you felt more than welcome. Definitely worth a return visit!

Super delicious food and Annabel is a super good waitress

Anabelle was super kind with us, and the food was amazing!!

The food was delicious, the people were very nice and we had a wonderful evening.

What an incredibly wonderful experience to eat here. We ordered the surprise menu. Everything was perfect. In a very small kitchen, the owner conjures up fantastic dishes. Highly recommended.

Konomi in Haarlem is a place where you feel welcome from the very first moment. Even the warm greeting with hot towels is more than just a gesture. It invites you to arrive, take a deep breath, and leave everyday life behind for a moment. This sense of arrival is consciously cultivated here, and you feel it immediately. The service is exceptionally warm and attentive without ever being intrusive. Every interaction is characterized by genuine friendliness and sensitivity. You feel seen and cared for at precisely the right moment—almost as if they would rather you never leave. This blend of professionalism and warmth makes the experience particularly pleasant and personal. Culinary-wise, Konomi operates at a true gourmet level. The sushi menu elegantly combines classic Japanese components with modern touches. Familiar flavors meet creative details, precise craftsmanship meets bold freshness. Every course is thoughtfully prepared, balanced, and of the highest quality. A quiet, harmonious mix that doesn't try to impress with loud displays, but rather delights in a lasting way. Konomi is not a place for quick meals, but for mindful enjoyment. It's a restaurant that combines atmosphere, service, and cuisine into a harmonious overall experience that will leave a lasting impression.

Not your typical sushi place, but the food was delicious! And the service was attentive.
