What an incredibly wonderful experience to eat here. We ordered the surprise menu. Everything was perfect. In a very small kitchen, the owner conjures up fantastic dishes. Highly recommended.

Not your typical sushi place, but the food was delicious! And the service was attentive.

The experience felt almost like fine dining, yet relaxed and comfortable enough to enjoy with children a rare and wonderful combination. We visited them as a group of six in total, and it honestly exceeded our expectations. We arrived very hungry, just wanting good food, but the experience turned out to be much more than that. The seating was super comfortable, with a round table that made it easy to share food and chat together. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the service was excellent. Our waitress was professional, friendly, and very helpful—especially with recommendations and with the kids. The food was amazing; we ordered almost everything on the menu, and every dish was fresh, tasty, and well presented. The warm towels at the start and the complimentary plate were a lovely touch. Highly recommended for special occasions, family dinners, or anytime you want great food with a warm, thoughtful experience.

We were here with a group of five. What was good was that we were able to find a seat without a reservation. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and cozy. Unfortunately, the service was unattentive and not particularly friendly. And the food was a bit too expensive for the quality, in my opinion.

On Monday, July 21st, we made an online reservation for Monday, July 28th. The restaurant canceled it out of the blue on the day itself, without any explanation. Neither of our phone numbers were answered, and no one even responded to my voicemail. Then I checked their Instagram story, and there I saw that they had posted on July 27th that they were closed for a few days. Again, they didn't respond to my DMs. I find this quite antisocial and very unfriendly. This is no way to treat your customers. Not for us!

We had a wonderful time here yesterday to celebrate my father's birthday. We received a very warm welcome, with special attention paid to our young child. We chose the deluxe surprise menu and were absolutely delighted. The courses were larger than we expected, but each one was delicious. Everything was very well seasoned, with the ebi roll, the lobster, and the wagyu yakitori being the standouts. The service was attentive and fast, and both the owner and her staff made us feel incredibly welcome. We will definitely be back.

Came for a simple dinner with my girlfriend and had the best time ever. Zoë helped us throughout the dinner and made the meal fun and interesting. It was luxury food served by professional sweet friendly people. Couldn’t have asked for anything better today! Oh.. if you go for dinner, trust the “surprise” menu and tell them your tastes.. they will delight you and you pay for a full dinner without worrying about anything. Order online, the sushi is overpriced and the portions are really small. A box like shown in the picture cost 70 euros (2 shushi combos in one box excluding service and delivery fees) you can get better quality of sushi and 1/4 of the price in the supermarket. Besides the roll being tiny and extremely overpriced , they were not fresh. Honestly this place feels like a scam.

Very pleasant place to visit. Nice attention, tasty food, pretty decent prices and beautiful decoration. The staff guide you through the menu with recommendations if you’re not sure what to order and also they’re very patient to explain every doubt or concern you might have. Long story short, typical Dutch service (where they just don’t care) and awful Japanese Wagyu steak. Longer story: We were seated at a tiny table and offered a free appetizer, that was nice, except no one bothered to put any cutlery on the table (chopsticks or a fork and a knife) so appetizers just stayed there till we got out order and even then I had to ask for cutlery. There was a bottle of water on the table, but no glasses, again, no one cared. We got our sushi quite fast, they were OK, but the one my wife got (with crab) were too salty. Then we had to wait for Wagyu steak, it took a while to cook. In the meantime lady (I assume owner or manager) came and started to clean the table, then surprisingly asked if we had anything else ordered, and after we told that we are still waiting for the steak she put some of the plates back on the table. Finally Wagyu steak arrived, and it was the worst pice of steak we have ever had. I am not sure how it is possible to ruin 85 EUR piece of steak. First of all, half the steak was just fat with gristle that was just impossible to chew. The other (meaty) part was so fatty that I felt sick for two days after eating it. My wife had few pieces and could not eat it anymore, I was a bit more persistent (unfortunately) and finished 80% I am not a Wagyu expert, but it definitely should not taste as a piece of fat, and I should not feel sick after eating it.

From the moment Zoë greeted us, you could immediately feel her warm and attentive demeanor. Zoë took the time to calmly explain the menu and enthusiastically gave her personal suggestions. It was Zoë who made sure that our glasses were never empty and that everything was perfectly arranged — always friendly, never pushy. The way Zoë found the perfect balance between professionalism and a personal touch made us feel special right away. Zoë radiated such kindness that the dinner became more than just a meal. Together for a weekend to Haarlem, by chance ended up at this restaurant for delicious sushi. Upon arrival we were given an explanation that there is a choice of surprise menus, of course we chose this! Surprisingly enjoyed the delicious food, it was super much. One of the best sushi restaurants I have eaten at! The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We were surprised by one of the menu options and we enjoyed all kinds of different fish and meat including the delicious wagyu steak and tuna. On the wall were shelves with all kinds of books about Japanese cooking and culture which we also enjoyed. A very successful evening, I will definitely eat there again.

Food was quite good, sashimi and sushi roll were very tasty. The duck was burnt and came 40 mins later. The nigiri never came. The cocktail was downright gross and also tasted like there was no actual alcohol in it. With the exception of one very hard working girl the service was terrible. Rude and unwelcoming. The neighboring table seemed to have the same experience. What seemed like a promising place turned out to be a flop.

Disappointing experience on a special evening For our anniversary we decided to have dinner at Konomi in Haarlem, partly because of the positive reviews we had read in advance. We ordered four sushi rolls and some other dishes. When serving the first two rolls, it was immediately noticeable that the rice did not have the desired structure; it looked more like a pureed mass because it was not grains of rice. Moreover, the rice was far too sweet, which did not improve the taste experience. Due to this disappointment, we decided to cancel the remaining two rolls and passed on our feedback to the staff because it was really not tasty. At checkout, the waitress acknowledged our comments and informed us that a new batch of rice was now being prepared. As a compensation, our drinks – two colas and a water – were taken off the bill, which we appreciated. Although the staff was friendly and understanding, the quality of the food left much to be desired.

Decided to pick up sushi yesterday in the section next to the restaurant. Via UberEats I saw that there was a 1+1 promotion on the inside out sushi box, for €30. First of all, the woman behind the counter repeatedly argues that this deal is €35, while I show the UberEats app, which says €30 and I have no other personal discount. I then had to order the order via the UberEats app instead of at the cash register. Waited 40 minutes for it to be ready, fine. This order allegedly contained 8 mini spring rolls, which could have happened to another employee who then forgot to add them. Went back and we only got 7. The two of us waited in front of the shop window for 40 minutes before only receiving 1 set of chopsticks. Also no wasabi or ginger. Sushi was mediocre. Not worth repeating. The restaurant next to the pick-up location looked nice, and the service there was very nice!

Rice was undercood, no avocado and the dessert was cold after reheating and not good. This used to be a great place, this is not the case anymore :( Price versus quality was way out off balance.

This used to be a great restaurant, now the rice of the sushi was undercooked (every dish), the food was bland, the avocado was missing and the dessert which was supposed to be warm was cold from the fridge. Sadly a disappointing and costly experience.

A great experience in every respect: excellent food, great and knowledgeable service, wonderful atmosphere and absolute "value for money". We were here for the first time, and because we are not very familiar with Japanese cuisine (except for the obligatory sushi restaurants that we don't like much), we opted for the 4-course surprise menu. And what a surprise it was. Every dish looked extremely well prepared and tasted absolutely fantastic, with the highlight in my opinion being the incredibly fresh raw tuna and salmon. Together with the homemade wasabi, a mouth-watering experience. Afterwards we paid €136.50 for 2 people, including a bottle of wine and water, and we think it was well worth it. We will absolutely come back.

For 170 euros (6 course surprise, and 2 wine p.p.) for two people, the quality was mediocre for the price, and the service chaotic and too laconic for the limited number of tables. Reservation errors, cheap wine, waiting too long for cutlery after serving a dish, the dessert was taken from the table to serve a forgotten course, only to be served another dessert from a leftover Valentine's Day menu that did not taste good.

This restaurant has been at the top of my list for a long time. We sat down for lunch. What delicious dishes! One even tastier than the other. Farm-fresh and made with love. You taste that and you saw that. We will definitely come back 😀

Given for the second time at Konomi. Dishes were generally fine, only the spicy roll was almost tasteless due to the amount of peppers on it. Excess is harmful. Unfortunately the dessert was a joke. We ordered the grand dessert with fresh strawberries. When serving (not when ordering) it was said that one of the desserts had run out and that therefore the price had been deducted slightly. We received a container full of whipped cream containing the desserts as a kind of treasure hunt. Instead of fresh strawberries (one of the reasons for ordering the dessert), red frozen fruits were served without asking, the strawberries were apparently also gone. Was really not worth the name grand dessert.

Something went wrong with the reservation, but they resolved this very nicely for us. Food was delicious and the service was good!

On December 30th closed company, it's ok. But without a friendly hint, just a shaking of the head and a dismissive hand gesture garnished with countless “no, no, no”.

It's been a long time since I had such a mediocre meal at a "Japanese" restaurant. Coarse and not refined. There was such a thick piece of salmon and tuna on the nigiri that it simply fell off the small amount of rice. So it was more like sashimi with loose rice. The chef clearly doesn't know how to make nice nigiri. Or was this made by an assistant? Shasimi were also coarse, not nice slices. The wasabi was so dry in all dishes that it did not remain on your sushi. Ordered sushi rolls with Wagyu. It should melt in your mouth, but it was so tough that everyone at the table left out the topping. Reported to management but heard nothing back. Sushi rolls themselves were okay. Strange structure of the menu or rather unclear. Not really cheap either. Staff was friendly.

Tried the chicken bento box for takeaway, and it was a letdown. Portion is small and way overpriced, the flavors were bland, and the noodles were crunchy and undercooked. We were really looking forward to trying this place, but it turned out to be a disappointing.
