It is serving Indian and Nepal foods, the taste is nice, and quite place, kindly staff, the place was little smoky inside while cocking at the time we been for the dinner maybe it was exhaust fan issue , they stated serving halal food chicken and meat

Ordered for takeaway. Was done in 30 minutes. Very nice hostess, gave one extra samosa and extra crispies for free. Had the veg samosa, veggie korma and chicken tikka masala. Was absolutely delicious. Will order there again for sure.

Amazing experience! We already visited a lot of restaurants with Indian cuisine (or similar), for me this restaurant was the best I was at: perfect flavors and spices, beautiful arrangements, creative dishes, but the best things were small details: very friendly staff and they remembered all the details and choices from only one previous visit. Hope to come again very soon!

Nice food and small party centre

I am from Mangalore . When I was in AMS , I was pretty excited they were serving Mangalorean ghee roast . I ordered the same , the dish they delivered in the below is not Even slightest match to the dish I had ordered . It was just boneless chicken tossed in same generic gravy that they would have served for Kadai. Why to serve so many items in menu which you can’t cook and rape the dish. Please learn from Anjappar the way they serve chettinad bound dishes.

Had a wonderful experience visiting Namaste madras.. highly recommend going there for authentic experience of Indian food including South Indian delicacies like Idly, dosa, vada and other vegetarian specialities. Rukmini and Mani make you feel at home and make sure you will visit again!!! Must visit place in Hoofddorp for anyone craving Indian food.

A Good one in hoofddorp. Outside the busy area. Food was good. They have both North Indian and South Indian dishes. We missed little bit of salt, spice elements in the dishes but its may be only for us. But they prepare everything on the go. A decent restaurant, worth trying it.

Staff - welcoming and helpful. The location is nice, I would suggest sit close to Windows or outside. Food was nice.

The food was acceptable. The quality of food and the cleanliness in the restaurant seems quite good. But the taste is again subjective. We are quite convinced with the taste.

Rukmini is a fantastic chef and a great host. Love the dosas and south indian food in general, and other items on the menu. Prefer this over the other place. We had a small get together and can ascertain the place could effectively manage small parties.

If you cycle past Namaste Madras, it doesn't really invite you to go inside. If you do this, cycling past, you are making a mistake. The five of me had dinner here tonight (9/5), at the invitation of friends. When you enter you sense a good atmosphere. The service is very friendly and does its utmost to make you feel at home as a guest. The dishes on the menu were new to me. My Lambs Curry was beyond excellent. My four table companions were all very satisfied with their meals. Because of me, Namaste Madras will remain on my list of restaurants to visit. So see you later.

We had a special lunch menu (South Indian thali) last Saturday and it tastes soooo yummmy. Not just by words, but Each and every item in the plate was extraordinary. Injipuli,avviyal,sambar,vadai,cabbage,.. and every item was delicious. And special mention to the pineapple kootu curry, wonderful. I enjoyed eating the full meal plate after a long time. Thankyou so much for providing our home country food delicious and in great quality.

Ordered take away from this place on 30 March 2024 - they charge almost double prices for take away - not mentioned anywhere in the menu or during the order and then charge extra for the packaging.. service on the top was not good as they took 1hr to pack a small order which is unbelievable when the restaurant was almost empty!!

We went to Namaste Madras on a quiet evening and had a wonderful experience. The vegetarian food was fresh and very tasty. Chole bhatura, medu vada, and pani puri were the best compared to many other so-called 'popular' restaurants

This was a pleasant surprise. Loved the location, perfect outdoor seating for summers. One of the best masala dosaas i have had in Netherlands so far. Their south Indian delicacies are great. I also liked the Veg fried rice. The service was very warm and the Chef was super kind and nice. Highly recommended and definitely coming back 😊

Enjoyed family dinner at Restaurant. Although the restaurant is new , I Have been eating food cooked by chef since 2017 when she had small catering business. Always fresh healthy food , Never had any complaints till date. Highly recommended for homely South Indian food.

Good service staff. Wait time between ordering and food being delivered on table was more than 2 hours. Even after waiting the quality of food wasn’t good either. I usually check google ratings of a place before visiting and this time google reviews failed me.

A Fiasco! Firstly, we had to wait for nearly two hours to get our food although the waitress was quite apologetic for it and I understand it was Friday but still 2 hours! Secondly, the food quality was a disappointment. Dal makhni was bland and Naan was like a readymade pita bread. Momo's filling were nice but the coat was undercooked.

I had dinner a few nights ago and I must say that it was a wonderful experience. They are all very kind, even the women working in the kitchen who wanted to know if I had been satisfied. Delicious food: it is an experience and a journey through extraordinary flavours. Go and try! Don't regret it

Have eaten several times with Indian friends. The food is authentic and delicious. This is evident from the fact that it is also well visited by entire Indian families. The food is freshly made so it sometimes takes a while. The taste fully compensates for that. We won't be going anywhere else for a while (and affordable too)

We visited twice since the renovations and change of name. Both times were with exceptional service and food. It’s awesome that we can enjoy North, South-Indian and Indian Chinese. The wait staff is engaging and friendly. We highly recommend them and we will surely be visiting soon ourselves!

Recently we dine in this restaurant, the experience is average, portions are less and waiting time is more.

During my recent visit at Namaste Madras restaurant, I encountered a rather average dining experience. The most notable aspect was the waiting time; it took approximately 45 minutes for our food to be served, which was longer than expected. As for the food itself, both the taste and quality were mediocre. I understand that comparing the flavors of Indian cuisine outside of India with those within the country isn't entirely fair, and typically, I do not hold high expectations. However, even with this consideration, the dishes at this restaurant did not particularly stand out in any way. They were passable but lacked the depth and vibrancy often associated with Indian cuisine I hope breakfast stands out well, which is served only during weekends

We had a great time here. South Indian food is highly recommended. Hospitality of Rukmani and Mani is a plus. Our only suggestion is to improve the serving time :)

Food was fresh and delicious. One of few authentic restaurants which has Indian flavours.

The service and ambience were very good, but the food was just ok. Ordered Masala dosa and sambar vada, which were average in taste. Friends who dine often report that it's usually better than the day we dined in, so maybe consistency is the problem. Will update this review after a second try.

Went for a Saturday brunch and loved it! The place is very spacious and had a positive vibe. We were welcomed by the owner herself and had a warm welcome. We had Chocolate dosa(Must try for kids), Medu Vada(the yummiest in Netherlands), Cutlet, Gobi 65, Samosa Chat(Amazing), Rasamalai and Mango Gulfi. The food was awesome and even our kids approved it. We had a lots of favourites and the gunpowder that came along with dosa was too good(I bet you can't get this taste anywhere in NL). If you are around Amsterdam or Schiphol, a must try restaurant with family. Looking forward to visiting again!

Great south indian food, the dosas, dahi vada and utthapams were wonderful, very authentic! The ambience was great as well. The service was a little slow, although can understand given the evening rush. The owners also gave us a generous discount on our final bill. Would highly recommend for authentic north and south indian cuisine!

Tasty food. The head Chef Rukmini is amazing. Our taste buds were reactivated. Highly recommend everyone to visit and have the food regularly. The Indo Chinese, South Indian dishes were superb.

I believe per 1 October 2023 the new owners have taken over this place; it is now called “Namaste Madras” instead of “Namaste”. Great North and South Indian delicacies, good variety and reasonable prices. Ambience need some improvement (too bright) but who cares (!), the food is fantastic; authentic vibrant taste, comfortable portions. Friendly waiters explain the food to us patiently. We recommend and will certainly come again.

Namaste is a fantastic Indian Nepalese restaurant that I recently had the pleasure of dining at. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere. The decor was tasteful and gave off a traditional Nepalese and Indian vibe, which added to the overall experience. Now, onto the food! The menu had a great variety of dishes to choose from, ranging from classic Indian and Nepalese favorites to lesser-known regional specialties. I tried the butter chicken and it was absolutely delicious - creamy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The naan bread was also a standout, fresh and soft with just the right amount of chewiness. The favorite starter snacks here is MoMo.
