Nice food Best Restaurant in Amsterdam

We ordered from you last night. Unfortunately, two dishes were missing from the delivery: the satay and the mango kulfi. We tried to reach you several times via the landline number, but this number was constantly busy. Eventually, we managed to find another phone number. We informed them that we had not received the satay and the mango kulfi. After about 30 minutes, the delivery driver fortunately brought the satay after all. However, the mango kulfi was not delivered later, and we haven't heard anything since. It is not about the €3 for the mango kulfi, but mainly about the principle. We clearly indicated by phone that two dishes were missing. One dish was delivered later, but the other is still missing, and there has been no further feedback regarding that. We find it a shame that this was handled this way, because the food is really top-notch.

Delicious food! Generous portions and more than enough choice of varied dishes. The service received 4 stars from me, not because it was poor; it is simply different from what we are used to. It was quite amusing that we started communicating in English but still didn't quite manage to get by because we were misinterpreted. Or when ordering chai as a starter, they nodded "yes" but ultimately said "no," because you order that after the meal. Those are the cultural differences, and it is useful to be flexible about them. We left a generous tip because you also pay a reasonable price for the delicious food here. Highly recommended!

We come here often. The staff is super friendly and respectful. The food is delicious. They work hygienically and the place looks good and clean.

I order from Tandoori Lounge often and am always satisfied! This is truly the best Indian food in Hoofddorp. Friendly staff and delicious food, what more could you ask for! My food was ready within 10 minutes too.

Probably one of the better Pakistani food you'll find in the Netherlands. Authentic taste. Big portions. And even the chai was just as it supposed to be.

If it were possible to give 7 stars for food, you would get it. Lamb biryany is top of the top.

Food was really delicious! Fast service and great atmosphere!! Favorite was the butter naan and mango lassi! We were a group of 4 and 2 had never tried Indian dishes before but rated it a 9/10😄

I had to pay €40 for food that was incomplete. I called the restaurant; they said they would be there within 10 minutes, but they arrived half an hour late. When I asked how he was going to compensate me, he started an argument about whether the delivery driver was 30 or 25 minutes late. He only wanted to compensate me if I returned the food to him. Bad business.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered naan and a Singha beer for takeaway. Unfortunately was the naan not good as I hoped, but this is just my opinion. A bit undercooked though n the middle. But the Singha tasted a bit off. Found out that the Singha beer it is expired. I hope this is just an accident and only happened to me.

I ate here last night and it was so delicious! I got my food within 10 minutes; everything is made fresh and they ask how spicy you want it first. The price is also very reasonable. Definitely recommended and I will certainly be back.

I've eaten at this restaurant often and like it. Unfortunately, the Chicken Tikka Tandoori was a bit salty this time, and I mentioned that. Love their cheese naan!

The food tasted delicious, but there was very little chicken in the 2 chicken dishes (butter chicken and chicken tikka masala)... That was a real downside.

While in Amsterdam, we went to this restaurant because it's halal and located near our hotel. We received a very warm welcome, and the food was excellent. I recommend the butter chicken.

I've ordered here many times, and each time the food is slightly different. It seems there are different chefs, each with their own tastes. Last time was the last straw. The hot wings were overcooked, and the food was so spicy that it was unbearable, even for someone who can handle very spicy food. Unfortunately, I won't be back.

Amazing service! I was craving Indian masala chai, and while every other restaurant had refused, they went the extra mile and delivered it to me exactly when I needed it most. That small gesture meant a lot. On top of that, everything I ordered was absolutely delicious, and the staff were so kind and attentive. Truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had!

It's just that there aren't 10 stars... so a full 5 stars. The food is incredibly delicious, and we've been back time and time again! Friendly staff, a nice atmosphere in the restaurant, plenty of choices, and everything is packed with flavor! Wow!

its a hidden gem.. one of the best restaurants I've visited. The staff is so sweet and polite. The restaurant is clean and has this oriental vibe. The food... OMG.. the food is of this planet. Full of flavors. Even when your full you crave for more.

The food was excellent! Super tasty and generous portions. A great menu with a wide selection. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The service could/should come to our table more often; we had to ask for drinks three times ourselves. Even after our meal, no one came by to ask for dessert or coffee. I paid at the bar and we left. But again, the food is a 10!

My husband and I have been traveling Europe the past 2 weeks. We’ve eaten at different restaurants in Barcelona, Paris, Mechelen, Brussels, and Amsterdam, and this has been by far the best meal we’ve had the entire trip! We ordered the butter chicken and chicken tandoori tikka, so delicious!

Good restaurant with great quantities

I actually feels cheated and hence writing this review. Have been there a few times and the food is good but every time we order the food that they send has so much salt in it that’s it’s impossible to eat. First time I thought it was a mistake but this is now the third time and it makes me think that everytime their chef messes up they keep that batch for orders very well knowing that the customers won’t go through the hassle of returning. My advice if you feel like having desi food go there but don’t order in.

Chicken was raw. Ask if they are going to make it. After 20 min. A burnt chicken arrives. No more sauce. So. Dry burnt chicken, no sauce. Friend has already finished eating. Then you are staring at empty sparkling water. Reported to owner. Tooth was broken off. Leave everything. Almost. No apologies. Had to pay full bill. Please refund half bill. Not okay there

We did Uber eats from this restaurant. Being Indian I didn’t like their food. I never had the food go wrong like this one . Their naan is like pita bread . Biryani can manage and the chicken curry is horrible. If u r Indian and trying to order food, I wont recommend them.

Excellent food – highly recommended! We ordered the combo menu and biryani – both were exceptionally good! The biryani was particularly tasty, perfectly seasoned, and very aromatic. The rest of the food was also freshly prepared and simply delicious. We are thrilled and can only recommend this restaurant. We would gladly return!

Went with family on a trip to the Netherlands last night two adults and one child. Food was nice and tasty and fresh . Owner and waiters were very polite. We enjoyed tandoori chicken , butter chicken , daal , naan, garlic naan and rice . And gulab jamun Everything was well cooked and the small requests we had were gladly taken into account for our food . I can completely recommend anyone around to try ! My child was super happy to eat Indian meal after two days of European and continental food ( it was her wish we fulfilled and looked for Indian restaurant nearby in Hoofdorp)

I started with the vegetarian samosa, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with a deliciously seasoned vegetable mix – fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. For the main course, I tried the prawns in curry sauce and the Tandoori chicken. The prawns were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, and the curry sauce was rich, aromatic, and had just the right level of spice. The Tandoori chicken was simply outstanding – juicy, full of flavor, and beautifully charred from the traditional clay oven. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend Tandoori Lounge to anyone looking for authentic, top-quality Indian cuisine in Hoofddorp. I will definitely be coming back!

Today, I had dinner at this place with my family and friends after a long journey, and I’m so glad we chose it. The ambiance was welcoming, and the food really hit the spot. The chicken malai boti was creamy, tender, and perfectly spiced—it literally melted in my mouth. The chicken biryani was packed with rich, aromatic flavors and had just the right amount of spice. And the chicken balti? Absolutely perfect, especially when paired with soft, buttery naan. Altogether, it was a delicious and satisfying experience. Highly recommended!

We ordered 3 main chicken dishes and a vegetarian dishe. The waiter recognised us and started speaking in an Indian language. We were totally at ease, and he asked if we prefer homemade taste. We said that would be fantastic. Well, we couldn't believe how great it tested. It was simply finger leaking good. We would strongly recommend this place and the cost wasn't backbreaking. Food was amazing. Highly recommended. I ordered chicken biriyani and chicken karahi. Both were really tasty.

Ordered the Samosa Kip, daal soup, tandoori mix grill, lamb Madras, Bhindi, Keema naan and the roti. All dishes were absolutely amazing. Flavors were superb, and the service matched the quality of the food. We highly recommend. P.s the mango Lassi was delicious too - hand made in house.

After a while we had a nice meal again. - malai tikka boti highly recommended.
