New York Pizza in Hoorn

I don't need to talk much about the pizza; it's what you'd expect from a NYP. Nobody expects a Neapolitan pizza. And it tastes fine for what it is. But if I order a margeritha with mushrooms, I shouldn't have three stray pieces of chicken on it. A vegetarian doesn't need animal products on their food, especially without asking.

Delicious, fast pizza delivered.

Had to wait 1 hour and 50 minutes for the pizza. The pizza was good, and we were given ice cream as a consolation gift.

Was delivered almost 45 minutes late

Delivery in rural areas is absolutely scandalous. Every time, the food is 20-60 minutes late (despite ordering on time and within a designated time slot!) and arrives cold. On the phone, you get a so-called excuse: there's only one delivery driver, then exclude the postcode area or close delivery times. We won't be ordering from them again.

Waited an hour and a half for ice cream and a cookie! After calling, they told me to just wait longer and order from somewhere else.

Ordered one Margarita pizza, and after 2.5 hours, they were at my door. After calling twice, I was spoken to unfriendly on the phone. Never again, it was a joke!

A mess. Unprofessional staff. Paid extra for extra toppings and didn't get them. Theft!! Last time I ordered from here. My email also goes to the head office.

When it's good it's really good, when it's bad it's really bad. They have a tendency to just not get the order right, any adjustments will either be followed though on or ignored, you never know which will happen. And they will make the pizza too early, so it sits around waiting to be picked up by a courier and when it gets to you either it's rock hard or cold, or even both.

What is this I just called before 10pm they say we are closed. I will officially file complaints tomorrow ☹️☹️

Ordered for delivery at 18:05. Called at 18:35, told that the delivery person was on his way and hung up. Called again at 19:15. Delivery person had driven to another village. Finally arrives with a cold pizza without a side dish. Delivery person went to get a new pizza and again comes back without a side dish. Pizza was limp, tough and tasted like nothing.

Thin base every time, always burnt pizzas with little toppings, or hard and burnt or soaked with grease. As if the oven is never cleaned. Burnt meat is always on the pizza. Got very bad.

Had to wait terribly long for the food (I live a maximum of 5 minutes away) After an hour of calling to say it hadn't arrived yet, the delivery person was on his way.. Call again half an hour later because there was still nothing... again like half an hour earlier, even though it was said that the delivery person is on his way? Now half an hour later, already 2 hours after ordering and still nothing...

Pizza was dried out. It has clearly been in the box too long. Pizza was lukewarm at best upon receipt

Delicious American pizzas as at every location. Unfortunately, the delivery time is always at least one hour and every order is 10 to 20 minutes late. Unfortunately, there is no compensation for this.

Bad branches in Alphen! Every x something! The food is fine but the service is terrible! They laugh at you on the phone too. While they forget everything when ordering and the delivery never matches the time stated. If you call where it is, they are irritated!! And they can't even do the subsequent delivery properly!! It's difficult to read your receipt and get the right products! Respect is also hard to find! Very unfortunate. Go do something about it!

Pizza only arrived after 1.5 hours, employee on the phone was not very customer friendly, when the delivery person arrived, 1 pizza was missing, it was delivered a little later, delivery people were friendly.

Pizza salami has just 4 small pieces of pieces of salami... that means all the halves added together. Because they do small halves so that it still looks something. I might as well have had a margharita. Dough edge is also uneven. One side thinner than the other side. Food tracker never works. I was treated kindly on the phone, but that's about it.

Recommended! Always good and tasty pizzas, nice, friendly and cheerful delivery people. I always order from this branch of New York Pizza.

Here is a complaint about the staff at the New York pizza branch in Alphen aan den Rijn, namely the branch in the Princes Irenelaan. The staff on the phone was downright rude and threatening. The products I ordered were not available and it took 45 minutes for me to call to say they were not there. Of course I asked for my money back, but this was absolutely not possible. After this I got on the phone with an apparent manager who was anything but customer friendly and threatened not to give the money back at all. He even hung up on me, forcing me to call back. Eventually they found the products I had ordered, a completely dressed up and with an extremely threatening attitude, a young, (light) skinned boy brought me the products. The attitude of this boy was extremely threatening and he even seemed to want to use violence, so he came towards me. I assume that you will treat my report seriously! Ps it looked like they had the products elsewhere today as the wine I ordered was a completely different brand than normal. The wine they sent was much cheaper.

Unfortunately, this was really nothing to write home about. The pizzas were rock hard, including 1 pizza black and with much too thick pizza edge without garlic oil. You really can't deliver this. Considering all the other reviews, it would be useful if something was done with it because this is really not possible.

The most tasteless pizza I have ever eaten! Dry, no cheese, just terrible for so much money. I don't recommend anyone to order pizza there!!!!!

Very bad NYP compared to other branches. Delivery took a long time. Pizzas were cold. And there's barely any cheese on the pizza? We will not order here a second time.

Delivery takes longer than 1 hour and there are only 5 skinny slices of salami on the pizza salami.

Ordered a pizza again today. I had the double tasty: double pepperoni pizza /4 cheese pizza. I have never eaten such a bad pizza at NYP as today. One star is still too many. It was more dough than toppings. The pizza was dry. No garlic oil on the edge. What a huge disappointment. Threw in the trash halfway through the pizza. I won't be ordering from NYP anymore for the time being. What a letdown.

The hamburger pizza from the promotion was very tasty

I noticed that some employees were rude on the phone. I understand that it can sometimes be busy and that stressful situations can arise, but it is important to keep customer friendliness of paramount importance. A friendly and respectful attitude is essential when dealing with customers.

Ordered a pizza with Gyros and tzatziki but apparently it was too difficult to actually put tzatziki on.

Recently I ordered the lasagna, pizza’s, pizza rolls, potato wedges. They are always on point and have good flavoring. The portions are a good size, and delivery (via Thuisbezorgd) is usually relatively fast and the delivery person is friendly and genuine. The food is still warm and crispy crunchy, which is important! The reason why I’m giving a 5 star review is because I never had any problem with my orders, past and present. Maybe I’m only seeing the good things… But this is my honest review and opinion.

They are welcome to adjust their delivery time in the app to 40-90 minutes. This is the second time that I have waited an hour and a half for my order.

I'm now a bit fed up with how certain catering establishments handle food and what they dare to send out. Now two lukewarm pizzas with a tough base (old junk). The topping part of the pizza also seems to be getting smaller compared to a huge edge of dough. My previous orders both had sour tomato sauce, as if it had raw tomato paste on it. About a year and a half ago I always got rich, hot and fresh pizzas from here. Today it is way too expensive, outdated junk. Has there been a change of management?

Accidentally paid twice online, “yes, we will contact you when we refund the money,” they say every time. Still haven't received anything back after months. Scammers.

Last time it went wrong, they apologized for it, but now I ordered again and without having to defend myself, I received the order again and partly for free that they promised me to do last time. I am very happy and am also very satisfied with the policy to make up for something like this. I had a very nice meal and will highly recommend this New York Pizza restaurant. Thank you.

Ordered a BBQ pulled beef pizza, but received a pizza without pulled beef (see photo). Paid 42 euros for three pizzas without toppings. Ridiculous!

Send the staff to traffic lessons, they don't understand the traffic rules. No idea what the food tastes like

Next time I'll order from Domino's again... Long story short... Bad expectations (online you see 19 minutes delivery time, but you have to call twice to get your pizza after more than an hour). Then look up the ingredients on your pizza. Ordered a Hawaiian but it was more of a margarita with a few stray pieces of pineapple... Just bad, hopeless and in a city with enough options for pizza customers, not a smart move by this establishment. I have also filed a complaint with them myself. In short, I will order from Domino's next time!

I ordered 2 of the same pizzas, but one had a different base and had salami on it instead of pepperoni. How do you get it done? Almost always the pepperoni is burnt on the edges. There is often far too little cheese on the pizza. It's all very unfortunate.

Very poor with gluten free. Absolutely no attention is paid here to keeping the gluten-free pizza gluten-free.

If you want pizza at 7pm, tell them to be there at 6pm. If you're lucky, they'll be on time. Oh and don't be surprised that it has already been delivered, you will have to wait at least 15 minutes. With extra luck, your order will be correct and all the ingredients will be on your pizza. Just so you know.

Ordered a pizza today at 1740, according to the tracker it would be delivered at 1810. At 1805 the report came that it was on its way. (Takes about 10 minutes) I called at 1840 where was he? Answer: Any moment now it would be at my door. Then waited another 20 minutes. What I also found special was that the pizza was delivered to the tracker shortly after my phone call. I had a very sparsely topped pizza, one was even missing ingredients... The pizza was also not really warm anymore. Something I am absolutely not used to from other branches. This was just bad. I won't be ordering from this branch again anytime soon.... Waiting almost 1.5 hours for a pizza... Pfff

Ordered 2 pizzas tonight, the friendly delivery person arrived very quickly. 1 hawaii pizza and a buffalo chicken. The 2nd pizza is apparently one without any base sauce such as tomato sauce, tastes like beaten egg? And the chicken tastes like sulfur. When I subsequently call about this, no understanding is shown and we can only get a new one if I buy this one and then I can just keep the old one (seems logical to me?). Well said, we weren't going to do that. I think it would be useful in the future if you clearly stated that a pizza had a layer of cheap cheddar on it instead of tomato sauce.

I order pizza from this New York almost every weekend and the pizzas are always delicious. But tonight I had a pizza that was so wonderfully made that was not normal. I am convinced that whoever made my pizza made love to it, so much passion went into this pizza. I will continue to order regularly.

Ordered three very nasty pizzas here. Now here's an explanation of why that was the case: The pizzas were delivered quickly, but that is easily explained by the fact that the pizzas were very raw (see photos). The crust was way too thick, and the pizza base was like a piece of cardboard with grease dripping off (see photo). Also, the cardboard delivery box was soaked in way too much rancid oil. We ended up feeding the dirtiest pizzas we've ever eaten to the ducks (see photos). I hope they can enjoy it. Also the pizza was cut dramatically The only plus point I can say is that the delivery person was very friendly, but despite that, this will be the last time I will order my pizza from NYP Alphen ad Rijn. In the end it really wasn't worth the 50 euros. See you never again.

Ordered Toasted Sandwitches yesterday. But without onions on it... And guess what. There were onions on the toasted sandwiches. Very unfortunate if someone is allergic to it, they simply don't read it and decide that it is too much effort NOT to put it on. Not recommended!

Good delivery, pizzas poorly made. Not well distributed and with a spinach pizza you have to look for the spinach. After calling you are told that less is used for a larger pizza...

Terrible pizza, both pizza Bianca, and also the double pepperoni, with potatoes that taste of nothing and 2 crumbs of chorisso, a sandwich that turns out to be a collapsed pizza, so it is not a sandwich, yuck, never again. 19 euros to the trash. Save your money and go to Domino's.

Well, why would you have a pizza delivered if all you have to do is cross the road, so to speak? Well, if you have visitors and don't have the time or desire to cook something, for example, or simply because it is too wet or too cold outside. Delicious pizzas here, highly recommended!
