New York Pizza in Elsrijk

We wanted to order pizza. Google said it was open until 10:45 PM, but then they told us on the phone that they close at 12:30 and that we had to order before 10:00 PM. We called at 9:50 PM and were told we couldn't order. The pizza was for takeout, and we live literally across the street. We'll never go back.

Extremely poor service. I called this location at 9:50 PM, even though it clearly states online that they're open until 10:45 PM. First, I was put on hold for almost five minutes even though I was supposed to be the "next in line." When an employee who said her name was Eline finally answered, it sounded like she was walking outside. I indicated that I wanted to order a pizza, but was told it wouldn't be possible after 10:00 PM. It wasn't even 10:00 PM yet, and I'd already been on hold for minutes. The explanation I received was: "If I enter it into the system now, it will count as 10:00 PM." This, of course, isn't the customer's problem. The call was then ended without a solution with: "Then I'm going to hang up now." For comparison: I immediately called another location of the same company, five minutes away, at the exact same time—and I was able to order there without any problems. Conclusion: incorrect opening hours, no customer focus, and simply fobbing off customers. Very disappointing.

Believe the bad reviews: waited over two hours for lukewarm pizza. App status is incorrect, and promises aren't kept. Avoid, we'll never order from here again.

After waiting for two hours, it still hadn't been delivered. I picked it up myself, but when I got home, the order was wrong, and the sauce/constitution was wrong. Never again.

Being late once is certainly possible. I've already been late several times. It wouldn't be a big deal, but the food is just cold. I drove back once and got a new one, the second time I sent it away and had a new one delivered. I'd say, order your pizza somewhere else.

This was one of the worst delivery experiences I’ve ever had. Miska showed up late, didn’t say a word, and handed me my pizza like it was trash. No apology, no explanation—just pure attitude. The pizza was cold and the box was crushed like someone had been sitting on it. I gave clear instructions for the delivery, and Miska ignored every single one. What really got to me was the attitude—like I was the problem for expecting basic respect. I was actually looking forward to this meal, and Miska managed to ruin the entire experience with carelessness and zero regard for the customer. If this is the kind of driver the company sends out, I’ll think twice before ordering again. Miska should not be delivering anything to anyone. Full stop.

Ordered at 22:09 and delivered at 23:45. Called New York Pizza twice to ask why it took so long and no response. Pizza was delivered lukewarm. Nice service

I don't recommend ordering here. I ordered a NY base but received a splinter thin base. My pizza was cold. I finally went to the branch because they were not available by phone. And then I got a new one and she claimed that the bases are always so thin... I always order pizza from New York so I know better :p Finally had a great pizza, still with a thin base but at least now warm. Too bad I had to put so much effort into this. I really feel like the greatest Karen, but after seeing the reviews it turns out to be standard😂

Not too nasse! might as well put toilt water on the pizza, Once got a terrible pizza that was drowned in tomato sauce. Submitted a complaint and received a call. A bit aso. what do you want me to say on the phone? Same as in the complaint? Doesn't it make any sense at all?? just send an email or something. Anyhoo. I gave it one more chance. A pizza WITHOUT tomato sauce because apparently they can't handle that. Simple. cheese pizza with extra gorgonzola. Comes in, there is no gorgonzola on it. Smelled like a half-gnawed dog bone. Cheese felt ash plastic. I will not order from this NYP again. You couldn't shove a pizza like that down my throat with a funnel. How is this company still standing

Base thinner than 3mm, lukewarm tough pizza, sauce looks like it has been sneezed on, long delivery times due to staff shortages and '2nd pizza free' works as a 70% discount on 2nd pizza.

Ordered 2 pizzas on a Tuesday. Half an hour late: “they'll be here soon”, an hour late: “they're almost there”, 1.5 hours late: “no idea where your pizzas are…”

I ordered 3 pizza and got information that pizzas will be delivered in 45mins-1 hour but it took more than 1,5 hour to deliver. I called New York pizza to ask for the pizzas but their response was not kind and the excuse was the football match

I dorder chicken Pizza….they give me 6 Small pieces chicken with Pizza based sauce .,,,when I go back outlet they answer me..every 1 hour we are changing staffing …Sorry we can’t help you right now ….so I’m so confused about this hospitality

I ordered 3 pizzas at 18:20 to be delivered 19:20-35. That’s a long time to wait but I accepted it. When the pizza had not arrived by 19:40, I called to see what was up. The guy told me that they had not even been baked. And we would not likely get them for 30 minutes. When I told him this was not very good service, he replied, “That’s not my problem.” It’s exactly your problem, numbskull! Two hours for a pizza?! New York Pizza can take a long walk on a short pier ! I will never order from you again. I hope you pull your heads out of your rear ends and figure out that customer service at this franchise is a huge problem. And, of course, the pizza arrived cold.

When you walk into this place you can already taste the great ambiance! The solidarity between the employees really brings out emotion among the customers. This time I opted for home delivery. I ordered on a rainy day so expected it to take a lot of time for my order to arrive at the crime scene, but my pizza arrived within 5 minutes! I therefore asked the delivery person the right question why my pizza arrived so quickly. The delivery person (I believe Willem) told me that he thinks delivering pizzas is super important. This profession is all about speed, according to the friendly, extremely intelligent young man! I actually saw at first glance that this was the best delivery person in the Netherlands!

I have received my order much later than expected, the food already was cold and they forgot to bring the buffaloes. When I called they said that they will send it right away but still took them another 30 min. They did not care much about the issue and no apologies.

Order from a different NYP. We ultimately waited 2 hours for our order and when it finally arrived one of the items (garlic bread) was missing. }ne hour into waiting I called and asked what was going on, the attendant was very blunt and said it's on its way and when I asked about how long it would take he hung up on me.

Wouldn’t even give 1 rating .. So annoyed with the delivery and rude telephone reception. They didn’t deliver my order for more than an hour. When I call to check he said it’s on its way.. waited for 15 mins and called 2nd time and their response was “yours is not the only pizza we deliver, its on the way” and cut the phone. The order itself was very bad, tough base and not really edible, delivery was pleasant with a young boy who knocked and introduced himself with his name (Floris I thought)

We ordered a pizza and waited more that an hour and the status was always on time.. after and 70 mins when i call the store the team memeber responded that he is alone the store and cannot deliver the pizza for another 30 mins.. im certain the employee(team membe) would have known this outcome and my expectation is that I be informed immediately on a possible delay, I can understand logistical issues beyond the control of the employee but my expecation is that the customer be informed ahead of time 2ndly the employee did not have time to speak with me and provide me options when i called other then wait for another 30 mins.. Hope i never have to order New York Pizza again

Dear New York Pizza, give us Amstelveners the option not to have to order via this New York Pizza. Slow smoking, stealing and lying people on the Karel Doorman, a problem that at least you don't have at Van Der Hooplaan. And your pizza will be delivered on time. Shame on this place.

Pizza was ready in 15 mins after the order placed, and delivered the pizza after 1,25 hours. When complained about cold pizza, "we don't really care". Wow!

Probably the worst service ever. The four pizzas I ordered would be delivered no later than 7:20 p.m. After it turned out that the delivery was late, it turned out to be impossible to reach the branch by telephone. The order status provided no clarity and remained unchanged all this time. After two guests had left, the pizzas were literally pushed into my hands at 8:35 p.m. There was no excuse and the pizzas were cold. Very disappointing and certainly not worth €57.

It took them an hour to process our order which should have taken 30 mins only. I bet they wouldn’t have started preparing it if we did not call their hotline. And oh, the staff I got to talk to was not friendly at all! Will not gonna order from this branch again. 👎🏼

Truly the slowest New York Pizza establishment there is. Opted for ASAP delivery, waited a total of 1.5 hours for 2 pizzas. Pizzas were lukewarm/almost cold upon arrival. After calling, they could only offer new pizzas, but I really don't think I'll wait that long again. Bad service that you can't even get a refund or the next pizza for free.

Instead of receiving the California veggie pizza which I ordered, they delivered a margarita pizza with all the extra toppings tossed on it, which of course fell off during the delivery.

The bottoms were very tough and could not actually be removed normally. Even our dogs had trouble with it. Normally order from another NYP, I have never experienced that before (it concerned cauliflower bases, by the way). +1 star for fast delivery.

Unhygienic, I went to collect pizza. One of staff members was eating something, and with same hands he mixed the lot of grated cheese. If you can't wear handgloves atleast wash hands

The pizza felt and tasted a bit like Dominos. It is thick and buttered with a sweet taste and airy dough. The topping didn't cover as much of the pizza as I usually prefer, but it didn't matter because the pizza itself was so good. I remove one star because it wasn't as juicy as it could be. More cheese could possible be an improvement. However, the food was delivered on time, and it met my expectations.

Good pizzas. Nice verities but not too many option available for vegetarians. Extra toppings are pretty expensive though! I wish they have more options for sides and also snacks. I’m looking forward for a change in their entire menu system. That would definitely be an amazing addition. 1 small pizza and some drinks are good enough for a person.

Placed an order today and unfortunately a number of things were missing. I called them and it was resolved immediately. A nice delivery person came to the door pretty quickly and even brought a free extra Ben&Jerry! Top service :)

These people are thieves. I ordered food, paid for it, and I never received it. I have called them many times, every time they say that they will return the money, but they don't. Not getting the food on a Friday evening was a disappointment, but this is even worse!!!!!!

DELIVERY ARRIVES AFTER 57 minutes (branch It is a 5-minute bike ride away. Then the gentleman doesn't have enough change. Not my fault. I'm flexible, so I say: then withdraw the amount. Didn't have an ATM. Then I said: if I drive to the branch with the voucher, I will pay for it. The brat says: no, that's not possible because then you might not pay him. So then I suddenly became a thief. We're talking about 12.50, says Mr. Brat: yes, just drive to the branch, pay for it, and then you can take it with you afterwards. Yes, that's what he really said. AND THIS NOT HAVING ENOUGH CASH HAS BEEN GOING ON BY NYP FOR YEARS. I sent him away with pizza and all. Rarely have I seen such a travesty.

I ordered pizza's which should be delivered at 19:30, at 19:45 I called where they were and I was told that they where with the delivery guy and should be delivered shortly. This place is just a 1 minute bike ride away so when they weren't there at 20:10 I went to the store myself and was told that they were just put in the oven!! So they were 40 minutes late, when I called them they just flat out lied to me and even an apology was hard to get out of them...
