We waited literally 2.5 hours. My husband called the store three times, only to be told each time by the employee that the delivery driver would be there within 10 minutes. We live literally 10 minutes away by bike. It's a shame we hadn't read the reviews beforehand, otherwise we would never have ordered from here on our Saturday night. Now let's hope we actually get our money back within 5 business days, as stated on the phone. Once we arrived, the pizzas had to be put back in the oven. The delivery driver (a woman) said she'd cycled around with our pizzas for an hour (yuck). She was the only delivery driver all evening and said she was stressed (sad for her). Do something about this, New York Pizza Weerwal!!!

We always ordered pizza here, and we were usually satisfied. Lately, it's become absolutely terrible. The delivery drivers don't understand apartment buildings and just walk out the back. It now takes an average of two hours for your pizza to arrive. And the pizza tastes like it's been sitting there for hours. Furthermore, no one answers the phone when you call. Don't order from here!! Simply awful.

The quality of your pizza really depends. Usually we have received our order perfectly fine. But last time we had to wait an additional 20 minutes because the oven wasn't hot enough. The pizzas also came out raw and my pizza was way too thin.

Ordered 3 pizzas to share with my friend and kids, 2.5 hours ago. Still no pizza, and when we call it's "busy". They just don't want to listen to angry customers I guess. My friend already left with her child, I gave her some leftovers. This was the last time I ordered from NYP

I've seen employees, with or without gloves, preparing my pizza several times. In between, they've shaken hands with a customer, opened a drawer, and touched items inside. Afterward, they haven't washed their hands or changed their gloves.

Never order, order always takes at least an hour to sometimes 3 hours, is completely wrong and not edible

After waiting for 2.5 hours, I decided to go in because they weren't reachable by phone either. They hadn't even started on my order of two pizzas yet. It was absolutely scandalous; they were sitting there, nodding off and doing nothing. It didn't exude any hustle or bustle. I don't know who owns this particular establishment, but if they have any self-reflection, they should probably pull the plug. Just look at the reviews here on Google... If you see this, save yourself time and order something that arrives on time.

I ordered my pizza at 10 p.m., almost two hours later, and I still haven't received anything. I called over half an hour ago and was told the delivery driver was leaving. I live about 15 minutes away. Just called again and found out that on a Saturday night, a 17-year-old kid is running the place with two delivery drivers. WTF is this?! I'm paying 20 euros for a pizza that will most likely arrive cold and looking like cardboard. I'll pick it up tomorrow!

What a terrible New York pizza place this is. Two wrong pizzas were delivered, then the correct ones arrived 20 minutes later, ice-cold, by the same delivery driver. The staff were impossible to communicate with on the phone.

I placed an order that afternoon for the evening. No one showed up at the agreed-upon time. I called, was put on hold for 22 minutes, and then the phone was busy. I was 1:15 late, so I drove over and the pizzas were just ready. I was supposed to get a call that evening to accommodate me, but so far I haven't heard anything!

This is incredibly bad. A two-hour wait for a pizza that still hasn't been delivered. When you try to call, there's no answer. Ridiculous.

I ordered two pizzas at 6:17 PM. After waiting for over 2.5 hours, the pizzas finally arrived at 9:00 PM. I tried to reach the restaurant and customer service several times, but I only ended up in a queue. Surely two pizzas can't be that complicated? I called five times and ended up in a 10-minute queue each time. The service and delivery are truly subpar... Are they crawling their way through the pizza deliveries from New York?!

Actually, at least 1 x 2/3 of a pizza wasn't topped. If you complain, they'll contact you later. That's never the case.

Delivered 70 minutes after the agreed-upon time? Without any communication whatsoever. Contact them? Unfortunately, the phone is down. Conclusion: No thanks! We had a delicious meal elsewhere. I hope someone else enjoyed the pizzas. They certainly weren't left at our place.

Very bad business, the whole chain is a disaster these days

Never again will I order New York Pizza. Once again, my order arrived practically cold. I called customer service, apologized, and promised to deliver a new pizza within 30 minutes. After an hour, still nothing… Two and a half hours later, I called again, and was told, bluntly, that the delivery driver had forgotten to bring the pizza. This is truly unacceptable – cold food, poor communication, and absolutely no respect for the customer.

After 1 hour and 50 minutes, still nothing. And when you call, you're always told they're on their way. I understand it can be busy, but it's a 9-minute drive from there to here. I find this truly unbelievable, and last time it arrived cold. No more New York pizza for me.

Ridiculous service... after waiting an hour and a half, I thought I'd give them a call... only to be told the pizzas were ready to go in the oven... You guessed it, upon arrival after a two-hour wait, the pizzas were cold, the chicken bites were cold, and the ingredients had been forgotten. Never again, the worst NYP in the Netherlands.

The food is really good, the pizzas taste great. The service is less so. Something was out of stock, so I would get my money back. They told me it would take a few days. I ordered on August 30th, and it's now September 10th, and I still haven't received my money. They don't respond to emails either.

What incredibly poor management at this location. I don't complain easily, but after the umpteenth time my order is wrong, I need to vent. I check my pizza these days and see it's wrong again. Then the manager blatantly lies to me that the order is correct. Then a colleague of hers comes over and immediately tells me right away that this isn't how it should be. I order a loaded pepperoni, but I get a little more pepperoni than usual. "This isn't loaded," one person says to the other, and the other person literally starts cursing each other out in front of me. Who allows their business (franchise) to be run like this by rude, lying staff? The same woman constantly smoking joints in front of the door and swearing at me more often than the doctors at the AVL (Apartment for Disease Control and Prevention) is also a daily occurrence. I'd like a refund, please, and I won't be back until the antisocial crowd has left.

We ordered pizza on a Thursday evening. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes. After an hour, they said the delivery driver had just left. It took another 45 minutes. The pizza was cold and hard upon delivery.

Unbelievable. After waiting, I finally called to ask where our free pizza (due to a previous failed order) was. According to the guy on the phone, the pizza had fallen out of the oven and onto the floor, and they couldn't make new pizzas because they were out of cheese. A pizzeria out of cheese?! Otherwise, run a bar without beer...

We ordered two pizzas. One came without the extra tuna I paid for, and the other one they dropped on the floor.

I'm a regular at New York Pizza, but what a disaster it's been these days. The quality is deteriorating rapidly. The pizzas are barely sliced, you order snacks, and what you get is completely ridiculous and looks completely different from the picture. And with the nachos, they throw a mountain of tomato sauce and chili sauce over them that you wouldn't believe. What a disaster. And to be honest, I was supposed to get a refund for the wrong pizza after two and a half hours, but I never got that either. No more New York Pizza for me.

They cancelled my order, and did not refund the money even thought they said they would. I have been trying to get my refund for days now and nothing is working.

We ordered the pizza at 4:30 and it was supposed to be delivered at 5:30 but it still hasn't arrived. We called at 6:00 PM to say it would arrive in 5 minutes but still nothing. We called again at 6:45 PM to say it would arrive in 15 minutes, they didn't arrive until 7:15 PM.

Gave the chance several times but now the cup is really full. Almost always something goes wrong. At 16:20 the message 'ready for shipment' and 20 minutes later only 'on the way', result? Cold pizzas. That is not so strange if you leave them for 20 minutes before they are delivered. Just like (almost) always, today again no garlic butter/oil? on the edges. Dry cold pizzas. As a loyal NYP customer always given the benefit of the doubt but now it really is enough.

Ordered pizza with a group, when picking it up 1 pizza was missing (we found out at home) we called, initially the employee claimed that the pizza we were missing was not on the receipt. This one was definitely on the receipt because we had it in front of us. Then the question was whether we wanted money back or that they should make it again, but then it had to be picked up AGAIN. We chose the 2nd option. After finally getting back with the missing Brooklyn style, we saw that they had just made a margarita pizza with 4 lousy pieces of pepperoni. You guys are getting worse by the week! Bites that are not bites but full calzones where the fat runs out like a waterfall

My wife and colleagues ordered pizzas from this place tonight. Among other things, a pizza Hot Chicken. The pictures at New York Pizza promise a lot of good things, but the reality was a tasteless, and especially chickenless, disappointment. After a complaint by phone, my wife and her colleagues were asked to send photos. They did this, only to be told that there was indeed chicken on it, but that it was red because of the sauce that was poured over it. Unfortunately, I cannot add photos. I just think that this New York Pizza chose this on purpose. To be ashamed of yourself!

Ordered at 5:44 PM and delivered at 7:44 PM. Called at 7pm and received no apology. Only the answer that the pizzas will go straight into the oven and will hopefully be delivered in 45 minutes. No discount or other compensation. Worthless.

Dear New York Pizza Team, I’m extremely disappointed with my recent order and expect a full refund due to the unacceptable experience. We ordered two Italian pizzas earlier today, and despite living just a 5-minute walk from the store, the pizzas arrived completely cold. To make matters worse, one of them wasn’t even Italian style as ordered. We attempted to contact the store using the provided number, but it repeatedly said the store was closed, despite the website clearly stating it was open until 10:30 PM. Our order was placed at 14:15, and we didn’t receive it until 15:20, which is an excessive wait time for a local delivery. Due to the poor quality, the food was inedible, and we had to throw it away. Given these issues, we expect a full refund for this unacceptable service. Please address this matter promptly. Looking forward to your immediate response. Best, Yasin.

I ordered with three hours notice so it'd arrive when I finish work. It didn't arrive so I called them after waiting 30 minutes. They told me they're understaffed but "if I like, we can put it in the oven now". I told them to cancel, they agreed. But they didn't cancel and instead selected that it was delivered so now Thuisbezorgd won't issue a cancellation/refund and New York Pizza won't answer the phone.

Instead of delivery, click on pick up. Mistake? you can call and pass it on. I did get an ASSO, brutal manager on the phone who supposedly wanted to come up with an option. And the options he presented and conveyed were so bold. “then you're out of luck” You can take that bad luck in your pants, boy. The customer is king is a stupid saying, but at least treat customers with respect. Regardless, I will never order from here again.

Rating: 1/5 I ordered pizza from this place and it has been an absolute nightmare. I specifically requested that they call me when the pizza arrived and NOT leave it at the reception, but they failed to follow through. As a result, someone else took my order. After contacting the restaurant to resolve the issue, I was told they’d send a replacement. It’s now been 2 hours 30, and it has just arrived, they could have atleast upgraded my size for the inconvenience,The lack of communication and disregard for instructions is unacceptable. A terrible experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Avoid this place if you value your time and sanity! 😡

As a customer of New York Pizza, I regret to express my disappointment with the recent experience I had ordering two pizzas. I placed an order for two pizzas for 20 euros and was confronted with a delivery time of no less than 2 hours and 40 minutes. This is unacceptable considering I am only 12 minutes away from the branch. Despite the long wait, I did not receive any form of compensation for the inconvenience I experienced. This lack of customer service is disappointing and unprofessional. Moreover, the quality of the food was far below average. The pizzas were not cooked properly and seemed hastily put together. The cinnamon bread I ordered was undercooked and the cinnamon topping consisted of only a layer of cinnamon powder. As a result, I believe a full refund is in order. It is important that New York Pizza treats its customers better and keeps their promises regarding delivery times and food quality. I hope that this incident is taken seriously and that appropriate measures are taken to prevent similar situations in the future.

The cheese on the pizzas has been in the oven for far too long and the cheese is simply no longer tasty.

I ordered a Garlic Chicken & Spinach pizza for delivery. The pizza was delivered within 20 minutes, and the pizza was really good. So I was happy with the service, will probably order there again in the future.

It was a bizarre wait of half an hour for a pizza. After calling, it took another 45 minutes to an hour. waiting more than 2 hours for a pizza. If you don't have delivery people, you just close your online presence and then call everyone who ordered to say that it will take a very long time. Really bizarre work, even in the catering industry for more than 25 years, I have never experienced anything like this. I worked at this New York Pizza branch myself Asking top price for your pizzas but your service to your guests is really worth crying over, this is very sad. In 2 half hours I could have made my own pizza dough with tomato sauce and still had time to buy a pizza oven. Last time I ever order New York pizza again, I'll just pick up my order myself. Ridiculous. As an owner, I hope you read this and take action because you have already gone from 4.9 stars to a 3.3. There is work to be done.

Picked up the pizza from them. Their pizza is very different from other NY's. I think they are greedy about the toppings. You will be seeing me regularly.

Pizza is nice but the place is expensive, furthermore, you are better going and getting your pizza yourself, this place is too busy and if you place an order for delivery you will be waiting a LONG time. The cinnamon bread, like the stuff you get from dominos, is borderline tasteless unfortunately, don't bother with it. The Italian style base and whatever they put on the crust is amazing though. Just go collect your food for the best and quickest result.

terrible experience! then from the outside it also looked like a place where you could eat well, we went in and ordered at absurd prices (I paid 25 euros for a pizza with salami) then the really unpleasant and not very serious shop assistants were playing with the food and with each other and they were not quick to follow orders. Plus they didn't even take cash. The pizza paid for 25 euros was, to be honest, inedible and the salami was cooked in the wrongest way of all. I hope they close.

What a bad tent. Waited longer than 2 hours for an order. After the order was delivered we missed a garlic bread. They would put this in the oven for us. Almost 1.5 hours later we were called back that they had forgotten the garlic bread. We will never order from here again.

For at least 3 years now I have included ''please don't forget the vegan garlic sauce'' in the extra comments as standard. And what do these gappies do 9/10 times? Right, yes. Today we also received a pizza without garlic sauce. Ordered 2 pizzas at 5:40 PM. At half past seven nothing was delivered, they called and said it was on its way, called again at 7 p.m., hung up twice, called with another number, then was picked up, didn't know where the pizza was, and finally said that it was no longer necessary, so super bad service, it was the first time but also the last time

It’s been 1,5hour I’m waiting for my pizza and after I gave a call they just said “Oh I just saw your order, we re just about to make it” like ridiculous.

What poverty, it is certainly about the dough, there was enough dough. But almost no filling and that for €15.00 is a complete rip-off.

Had 2 pizzas delivered today, delivered on time. But I was only eating dough, there was almost no topping on the pizzas, and it also made them completely tasteless. Very unfortunate, but 2 almost complete pizzas disappeared in the trash. No more New York pizza for us

Usually delicious pizza with a nice thick base. Only the last time I found a hair and the pizza base was not as usual. With regard to called the hair in the pizza and received a new one quickly.

Ordered pizzas at 6:30 PM. Delivered at 8:15 PM...at 1945 I called to find out where the pizzas were, but according to cow they were ready to be delivered...don't say something you can't prove. Communication from location is poor. I called again at 8:15 PM....the pizzas were only being delivered at that time.

Normally you could go to New York Pizza Volendam for your pizza. Lately the toppings on the pizza have been very sparse. The edges are empty for the outermost 5-7cm. They think it's normal on the phone. They're just the pizzas here. I would like to come back as a customer, but it is very difficult for me to do so.

Pizza arrived 45 minutes late and I can live with that, but when it turns out that both pizzas are still cold and the shawarma on the pizza has to be looked for with a magnifying glass, I am slightly displeased. Turned the oven back on. Unfortunately not the first time and I try again every time. SUCH A PITY!!

I worked here myself a few years ago, but the quality has really deteriorated in recent times. Waiting for hours for your order, receiving cold food, always closed in the app for orders. If you decide to pick it up, pizzas are forgotten. Very sorry!
